Budget renovation of a loft-style room. Apartment renovation in loft style: stylish savings in trend

And for starters, a little financial sketch.
In finishing stores, I found tiles for at least 405 rubles. per square meter. And she is not very, some kind of small, not very natural in appearance.
And that tile, which at least 70% satisfies my taste, costs around 700 rubles. per metre. And then it is too "new", and I wanted to achieve the effect of an old wall.
Plus, you need to consider that laying tiles by a master will cost at least 500 rubles per meter. Plus glue, I have no idea how much it costs.
Total runs from 1200 rubles. per square - this is the minimum (with the desired design)! And my need for this finish is about 15 m.

In addition, the thickness of the finished tile + glue does not satisfy me at all, it is too large for my conditions.

In general, I had already abandoned the idea of making such a decor, when all of a sudden!
Suddenly the idea came to do it yourself, by hand, to do miracles with your own hands, but in such a way that the process was as simple and pleasant as possible, and the effect was the most desired.

So, the whole creative process: design, preparation of tools, implementation.

1. Search for an image on the Internet

I chose this photo of the wall. I liked its texture, jagged lines, old age and wear, a kind of not a raid of time, but time itself.

2. Stencil preparation

I placed this picture in corel draw, circled the fragment.
To be honest, I spent about a day (along with other things) making a matching pattern and also calculating the size of the future stencil that I needed and convenient for me.

3. Making a stencil

I ordered the production of a PET stencil in an advertising production. PET is the material that is used to make plastic bottles. Any products are made from a PET sheet by means of laser (or milling) cutting according to a vector file.
Here's what happened. I made two of these, slightly different in design and size.
And this was the first material waste in the amount of 670 rubles.

4. Purchase of materials

The second and last material cost is the purchase gypsum putty about 500 rubles. per bag 20 kg. I had enough of such a bag for 6.5 square meters. Those. need two more. The total issue price for 15 meters of a brick wall is 500 * 3 + 670 = 2170. Well, let's add masking tape here for auxiliary work, so be it.

More than two thousand issue price against from 18,000 rubles. There is a difference?
All right, all right, let's increase the cost by the price of the paint, I'll just paint it matte white.
Although I still planned to paint the wall tiled and the wall without tiles in White color so these costs do not count.

5. Manufacturing process

a) Attach the stencil to the prepared surface with masking tape. It is advisable to use the level like a real bricklayer :)
The surface is prepared as desired.
In my case, the wall is leveled with putty, because. I didn't originally plan to do this. But, in order to achieve the effect of the naturalness of the seams and the curvature of the old wall, it is better not to level it at all, but only soak it well with a primer. Thus, the word "achieve" is completely inappropriate here)).
So, depending on the desired effect, the wall needs to be leveled or curved to the extent that you wish.

b) Dilute a little putty to a state of thick sour cream.
Here you will have to experimentally select the amount of the mixture and water, you need to somehow count, estimate, remember. I diluted the mixture in a small bucket and mixed with a regular kitchen mixer. In a volume of about two liters of the mixture per 0.3 m square area(this is the area of my stencil).

in) Apply an even layer of mortar on the wall over the stencil with a spatula.
It is convenient to use two spatulas, large and small, it is somewhat similar to working with a brush and a palette.

G) Flatten artistically. That is, not really bothering, because it will be old brick"in the light haze of past centuries."
Here the task is to make a layer with a thickness of 3 to 8-10 mm, and even leaving uneven streaks.
You can make completely dents, potholes, there is no limit to fantasy.

e) Carefully remove the stencil. Put it on a clean surface (for example, the floor) and collect the remaining solution with a spatula, it will still come in handy.

e) Carefully consider the resulting bricks and adjust the thickness with a spatula and the remains of the mortar according to your desire and taste.

g) Carefully “tread down” irregularities with a wet sponge, correct the surface of the bricks.

This process can, and sometimes needs to be repeated when the solution sets and hardens a little.

h) To avoid the effect of gypsum blotches on flat wall, you can dilute the solution to "liquid sour cream" and paint over the wall with an ordinary brush, paying special attention to the contours of the brick. This is when all the forms are already dry.

I) If desired, you can grind the bricks with sandpaper.

At this stage, I get this wall.
I will trim it, adjust it to my inner "enough", and then paint it in a matte white ordinary acrylic paint for facades and interiors, the most resistant to dirt and washing.
Actions h) and i) have not yet been applied in these photos. The seams need to be curved, the joints to be covered up, but the picture as a whole is clear.

A lot depends on the design of your home - when you come home after a hard day's work, interior design will directly affect your mood. The most popular design solution lately has been a loft-style renovation - a universal look that is perfect for both creative individuals and inveterate conservatives.

Renovating a loft with your own hands is quite simple. This style does not differ in excessive architectural inventions and does not require unique materials for processing. Loft-style renovation photos can be viewed on the Internet - The World Wide Web replete with all sorts of original ideas All you have to do is choose a project to your liking.

characteristic feature for this stylistic design is the nomination industrial equipment or communications to open space for general viewing. As part of the style, it is common to install air exchange hoods for ventilation and thermal pipelines directly onto bare brick walls, which is great for a kitchen or dining area design. Special attention ventilation is given here - the loft style necessarily emphasizes given element, thanks to which the harmony of elements of the old and new times is well combined.

Note! Repair loft in the photo may differ slightly from the option in reality. To comply with the verified direction in style, it is recommended to make estimates and rationally plan the location of decor elements - excessive pomposity will spoil the appearance of the room.

Finishing materials and colors - choose the right colors!

In understanding the style, there are no strict rules when choosing materials for finishing or observing the general colors. For decoration, it is not necessary to choose elite materials - the idea of \u200b\u200bstyle consists in decorating with natural elements: purchasing several inexpensive sheets of metal or bricks will help beat a couple of walls in the room and save a lot of money on repairs. Despite the simplicity of the design solution, loft-style renovation allows you to fully unleash your creative potential and turn many ideas into reality.

Important! The main thematic focus is emphasizing details industrial production, communication nodes or communications. If a hood is installed in the room or pipes pass through, then this place must be beaten. You can also decorate the room yourself - structures made of metal cables or rods, antennas and wires, with the right approach, will skillfully complement main idea loft interior.

Loft is an original concept design decoration, which allows both adherence to strict limits and paradoxical constructions. All decor elements may differ or even contradict each other's color texture, however, the general range of style must be strictly adhered to.

The main characteristics of the loft style: what is worth knowing?

The loft is a striking example of a successful interweaving of minimalism and industrialism, where elements of both antique and modern decorations are successfully combined. The distinctive components of the loft are:

  • Large free space;
  • The presence of various industrial elements;
  • High ceilings with hinged structures;
  • Light decoration of walls and decorations;
  • Large window areas that let in light;

Also in the loft there is often a combination of room space and the use of various screens and partitions.

Light redevelopment, where the living room is combined with the dining room, and from long corridor another room is created, often allowing to solve the territorial shortage of free space. Loft-style renovation provides a solution to several problems at once, namely:

  • Visually increases the living space in the premises;
  • Thanks to redevelopment, the number of rooms is expanding;
  • The rooms are visually transformed and decorated.

If you are interested in combining living rooms or do not know how to properly beat industrial elements and areas with equipment in the dining room, bathroom or kitchen, then it is recommended to seek the help of designers. Self-repair without ignorance of the characteristics of the loft is fraught with damaged materials and time.

Benefits of a loft style for a small studio apartment

Initially, before reaching the peak of popularity, the style was intended just for small studio spaces, so despite the small amount of space, there is where to roam. Even if there are no ideas, you can view do-it-yourself loft-style renovation photos on the Internet, where there are many options for decoration.

In order to visually increase the space of the room, it is recommended to stick to natural natural shades. Painting the walls in white or metallic color will play up any room well, and in the presence of high ceilings, the upper space is required to be decorated with suspended structures of any design made of sheet metal or pipes.

When overhaul rooms, it is recommended to increase the area of windows - an abundant amount of natural light against the background of decoration from natural materials and metal elements decor will turn a studio apartment into a work of art.

It is worth remembering that repairs in the loft style can be done with your own hands, however, for a competent design, it is recommended to sketch out a preliminary work plan. Despite a certain style framework, you can create entire themed loft projects.

For example, the design of a fishing hut or junk shop is the best option for a studio apartment - a combination of antique or themed decor elements will greatly complement the overall style direction.

Loft style in the interior of city apartments and country houses

The loft is relevant not only in small studio apartments, but is also perfect for indoor implementation. ordinary apartment or country cottage. The industrial format of the loft will look beautiful like in stalinkas or large-scale mansions - the main thing is to correctly beat the overall composition and style in the rooms, depending on their purpose:

  • In bedrooms and dressing rooms, it is recommended to use light colors and flood lighting, as well as hanging metal structures made in a common theme.
  • In the kitchen, the loft style requires the allocation of wall space for brick patterns and the emphasis on industrial elements and communications from the general plan;
  • In the living rooms, high chandeliers and frontal cladding look good. natural materials: brick or stone.

A bunch of design ideas will allow you to pick suitable option for yourself and properly decorate your apartment, revealing your creative potential. Correct all the shortcomings of the premises, giving the dwelling notes contemporary art!

It is interesting!

By playing with light and a large number metal structures it turns out to hide the unevenness of the walls and ceiling - loft-style finishes are an easy way to make redecorating rooms.

For which rooms is the loft style suitable?

This style is a unique combination of different design directions, which allows you to use the loft literally everywhere: from small apartments to large-scale mansions.

We asked architect Alexander Kravtsov about how you can turn an ordinary interior into a loft with steampunk elements, and also learned how he made decor and lamps with his own hands.

Quartblog is constantly expanding the boundaries of its reporting: we go to exhibitions, visits, workshops, quests, and now the first trip to a restaurant for interior impressions is next in line. A tip on the Bromley Brothers restaurant and architect Alexander Kravtsov was given to us by Dasha Geyler, a wood and paint master.

Very often, when we come to a cafe or restaurant, we enjoy communication, food and the atmosphere in general, without noticing the details that set the right mood. And in vain, because all the most interesting lies in the details! The Bromley Brothers Restaurant was recently opened and was undergoing renovations as soon as possible before opening. The complete modification of the premises took only two weeks. The concept of the loft-style interior with steampunk elements was inspired by the story of real brothers, after whom the place is named. The Bromley brothers in the middle of the 19th century owned first a workshop for making tools, and then Bromley Brothers Mechanical Works Society, which produced machine tools, engines and steam engines who glorified the brothers far beyond the borders of Russia. The brothers led an active lifestyle: they traveled a lot, painted, photographed, engaged in scientific development, did something with their own hands. Alexander wanted to give this place the atmosphere of a workshop, not devoid of home comfort living room.

Architect Alexander Kravtsov, who was in charge of decorating the restaurant, told me that there used to be another establishment here, from which all the furniture remained. Having an interior basis, Alexander was faced with the task of completely changing the style.

I believe that the interior of any restaurant begins with front door. Each guest who comes, takes the handle to enter, and from that moment must tune in a certain way. The door can be absolutely simple, as in our case, but one bright accent changes everything. Also, instead of banal urns, we put pipes from the air duct.

Alexander, together with the workers, modified almost all the furniture. The leitmotif that can be traced throughout the restaurant and even on the facade of the building is the bolts. They can be seen on the walls and on the bar counter. They emphasize geometry and tie the whole space together. The element is very simple and is suitable for a loft-style interior.

Absolutely all wooden furniture and panels decorating a whole corner of the restaurant were repainted with Dasha Geyler's paints. Alexander recalls that when painting the panels, the workers deliberately left smudges so that the wood looked like a workshop, in which imperfections are possible.

Deliberate negligence takes place in the loft style. The main thing to remember is that there should be only a few careless elements, otherwise the whole effect is lost, and guests may get the feeling that they just came to a poorly renovated room.

The history of the bar counter and the suspension with lamps above it is curious. Machine filters were used as shades for lamps. They are also used in sconces on the walls.

With the help of light, we wanted to create a festive mood. It seems to me that the lighting above the bar is vaguely reminiscent of garlands or retro signs, while everything is designed in the same style. Initially, we wanted to make retro bulbs all over the suspension, like everywhere else, but to save the budget, we put in the most ordinary Soviet ones, with adjustable power levels. Now we set them to a minimum so that the spiral inside glows. As a result, this light does not hit the eyes and looks no worse than an expensive alternative.

Loft and steampunk decor is not always easy to find, plus it can be very expensive if you buy it in stores. Alexander shared with Quartblog several interesting ideas, which he implemented in the restaurant. So, ordinary gears and water pipes became part of the installation on the wall, and also turned into lamps near the windows. Flower pots are made from ordinary buckets, sawn in half and varnished on top.

Since finances and time were limited, ingenuity was used: many things were literally made by hand. The decor that is presented on the shelves was collected from everywhere: from flea markets, industrial dumps and from small shops. Many details former cars turned into independent art objects.

As far as I know, when houses are being renovated, builders throw away a lot of things that can be recycled and turned into something interesting, as in our case. We put everything that we managed to collect in one place, and based on the things available, we made the decor that you see.

Alexander shared an interesting life hack on aging posters. The themed posters that hang on the walls were printed on watercolor paper, and they got the effect of antiquity thanks to tea bags.

Tea is a well-known dye, and with its help, Alexander manually added color to the posters, as soon as he walked over the paper with a brush and a sponge.

On the windows on one side of the restaurant we see unusual curtains over which the grid is stretched. This was done not just for the sake of decor, but from a functional point of view.

As you can see, there are very few walls in the restaurant that can be used. But some exhibitions and events may be held here in the future. You can hang some photo works, paintings and illustrations, as well as garlands or flower arrangements on the grid. This plane has yet to reveal its full potential.

It is curious that the colorful loft-style decor here plays in contrast with feminine details in the Provence style (jars of lavender, shabby trays of flowers, lanterns, elegant dishes). It is also worth noting the floral print cushions and velor upholstery on some of the chairs. This contrast allows the interior to be playful and cozy.

Lamps that look like spiders, Alexander made himself. Retro cables, conventional sockets and decorative incandescent lamps (Edison bulbs) were used. The beauty of this lamp is that it can be transformed: the bulbs can be lifted and fixed on additional ceiling hooks, changing the lighting scheme.

The restaurant has separate zone living room, which is especially conducive to cozy gatherings in the evening. Alexander is sure that this corner has yet to grow interesting wall decor and new details.

Appearance Bromley Brothers restaurant is still at the stage of development and formation. It will be filled with decor, details and become more refined over time, but already now there are many guests who appreciate not only delicious food, but also the atmosphere, which is created largely due to the interior.

We want the interior to be filled with non-random things, so we still have something to work on here. In general, I believe that a restaurant should live its own dynamic life and develop, as well as adapt to the various events that will be held here. I hope we managed to create the transforming interior that we were striving for.

Good photos on the Internet! And what about the residents of a odnushka, do they also want to live in a luxurious spacious loft? Despite the skeptics, we will prove that a small loft-style apartment is not absurd, but a reality. And we will also show that the style of the loft is ideal when the budget for repairs is very small.

Because the interior style is a way of life and the atmosphere of the house. Not the footage.

Many people think that the loft style is only suitable for apartments, maximum for country house, they say, a loft is a huge industrial building, and recreate it for 40 square meters unrealistic, which means there is nothing to write about here.

But the designers do not agree - and they do an excellent job with small-sized projects in the loft style. The trouble is that residents of small apartments often do not have money for a designer. So, excuse me, dear designers, we will style our house as a loft with our own hands.

Loft style design - why is it like that

The fact is that the loft style is not so much an architectural format as a mood, a way of life. It all started with the fact that in the 1940s land became very expensive in New York, and industrialists had to move their plants and factories away from big city. But the buildings remain.

Wealthy people completely refused to move into the empty workshops, but for the simpler contingent, and especially for creative people, the huge premises were quite suitable - both inexpensively, and an art studio-house in ready-made. Because a little tidying up, arranging art objects and a few chairs - and here you have a bohemian salon for exhibitions and performances, you can also live. So the loft style ceased to be an architectural indicator and turned into a way of thinking.

And this is the whole loft: it is asceticism, contentment with little, endless creative flight and the rejection of luxury (although a chic velvet sofa looks great against the background of old plaster).

Do you understand? For a real loft style, five-meter ceilings are not so much important as the spirit of freedom. Is not Brick wall and pipes under the ceiling, and a creative eclectic interior, inconceivable without objects of contemporary art in all its manifestations.

Even designers do not understand this line, but now you know: first of all, you need a creative interior, and secondly, an industrial one.

What should be the interior of a loft-style apartment

So, what should be changed during the renovation so that the very mood of the American loft is felt in the apartment?

1. Introduce the spirit of the factory (crossed out) loft interior

But you will have to start by searching for those very elements of the “abandoned factory”. Because if initially industrial premises were turned into residential, then you, the owner standard apartment, you will have to do the opposite, make an industrial object out of the apartment.

Here you will need to think: what is in your apartment similar to the view of the plant? It turns out that a whole system of water pipes was once hidden under drywall, under plaster bearing walls you can find an old red brick, and cast iron batteries, it is worth removing the decorative flap and painting them brighter, the situation is ideal. So we look under the laminate, we are interested in what we have there false ceiling… Bare concrete? Gorgeous - let's go! The floors, however, would be better to fill with a special non-dusting mixture, but on concrete ceiling even metal hangers may not need to be removed.

Many of these "finds" will be found already in the process of repair. Record all observations in a notebook so that you can later use them when drawing up a project on your own.

2. Work with surfaces. Top 3 loft textures according to Loggia

Materials and surfaces in a loft interior play a huge role. And if the walls of your Khrushchev are made of shingles, it doesn’t matter, brick and concrete can be perfectly imitated with the same textured plasters.

Italian manufacturer decorative coatings Loggia recommends choosing textures that combine luxury and rough industrial processing. It is the loft style that allows you to use, say, a “concrete look” coating on one wall, and on the other - Venetian plaster or texture "velvet" - and all this in one room! We recommend the following materials.

  • Kymera- unique coating not just with the effect of rust, but natural oxidized metal, even has magnetic properties.
  • Marmo Romano - allows you to create a deep texture.
  • Diamond - the effect of natural metal.

After all, the task of the loft is to give one room a variety of functions (as if the former workshop has become a kitchen, an office, and a living room at the same time), and it is better to separate functional areas, if possible, not with partitions, but just different design walls and floors. In this sense, decorative plasters, which have become last years more accessible, allow the soul to turn around. Brickwork, concrete blocks, crumbling plaster, noble surfaces of silk or marble - plasters can do everything. Unless the wood in the loft should be used natural, even if your master knows how to perfectly imitate wood with plaster.

Of course, we are far from a classic loft with spacious rooms, but maybe even in your apartment the layout can be changed? Talk to a familiar architect or show the plan of the apartment on a professional forum - it may very well be that, for example, the living room can be combined with the kitchen or the partitions between the rooms can be made of glass. Here is the treasured space for you.

Even if it is impossible to move the walls in your case, one feeling of a large space is enough. The light color of the walls, not too high furniture - there are enough tips on the Internet, we even wrote an article about expanding the space. Thinking about the loft, it's time to think about storage systems, and choose better hidden ones.

And also windows: it is unlikely that you will be able to drastically increase them, but it costs nothing to remove traditional curtains - there will be an order of magnitude more “air”. If you have to hide from neighbors, choose laconic blinds or something similar. But don’t even think about changing windows to plastic ones, you’ll kill the style - you can quite tolerably restore and insulate old wooden ones, and after successful contrast staining, they can become an interior decoration.

4. Clean up

The loft does not tolerate a heap of unnecessary things. Many attributes of comfort will have to be taken out of the house: give carpets to student neighbors, blankets with which each chair was covered - to your grandmother, and in order not to offend, ask for her old bookcase instead.

For comfort and home atmosphere in the loft, art objects, unusual furniture and attributes of romance meet.

By the way, for the repair of an apartment in a new building, the loft style is generally salvation. At the same time, you can save a lot: the walls do not have to be plastered, and the floors are perfectly leveled. Ceilings can also be left draft, and you don’t even have to hide the wiring in the walls, saving on their scraping. But in order not to overdo it, choose only one or two surfaces that you leave untouched, the interior should remain residential and welcoming.

5. More style, more creativity!

To design a loft-style apartment on your own, you need to be really free. Here you can safely combine Buddha figurines and modern paintings with an ironic colorful armchair, a magnificent crystal chandelier with a cheap plastic furniture- the loft calls for mixing styles and eras.

The main thing is not to confuse freedom with bad taste: in order not to miscalculate, focus on a mixture of industrial style with minimalism, high-tech style elements and old retro gizmos, furniture from the past and, if possible, real antiques. And again, you can’t do without art objects.

turn small apartment into a cozy loft, and even with your own hands, is a very adventurous task. But look at the photo finished projects- even a tiny studio in Khimki can be transformed into a unique Manhattan home.

Loft is one of the most paradoxical styles that combines underground and bohemianism. Interiors in this style have a conceptual approach to space. They show how industrial premises unfit for life are transformed with the help of art, turning into shocking and luxurious dwellings.

Translated from English loft (loft) stands for non-residential premises , as a rule - unfurnished attics or attics. In a more familiar sense, these are most often one-story industrial abandoned buildings, under a high roof. Adaptation of industrial and storage facilities under housing is at the heart of the loft style.

Loft style in the interior of a modern person's apartment

What explains the popularity of the loft? For starters, this is a protest against the standards that make dwellings similar to each other. The choice of furniture, zoning methods and finishing techniques are very predictable, no matter what idea or popular style you decide to choose. The loft is another matter - it is a space for the artist's imagination, a revolutionary approach to space and constantly unexpected solutions.

Is it possible to recreate a loft in the interior of an apartment modern man, which is far from the appearance of colorful factory buildings of the last century?

Loft style features

To answer this question, we first select main features classical style loft:

When it's not about recovery industrial buildings and creation on the basis of their dwellings, it is obvious that the ideas modern loft usually focused on interior design in a special atmosphere of outrageous chic. Modern designers successfully cope with this task. How? They play with the ideas of free and large areas, "industrial" texture in decoration, original furnishings and elements of the "factory" surroundings.

Zoning and free planning

The principles of free planning are at the heart of the loft. Ideally, the building should be fully visible. Behind the partitions there are only utility rooms and a bathroom, sometimes a bedroom.

Lighting and space are the main value, therefore there should be a minimum amount of furniture in the loft-style interior, and it should not be located as usual - in the corners or close to the walls, but in such a way that there is free space around the walls.

The main part of household equipment and all things are “hidden” in spacious utility rooms, leaving in the residential part only what is needed for creativity and relaxation. Utility rooms need to be given a lot of attention. There may be several of them - they must fit and a pantry, and a laundry room, and a wardrobe. Their task is very important - to free the residential part from everything superfluous, which violates the aesthetics of space and distracts from creativity.

If there are high ceilings, then vertical zoning is often used, an “open floor” is equipped, which is most often used for private areas. For example, there may be a bathtub that overlooks the lower floor. Also upstairs can be equipped with a bedroom.

Finishing

Elements required for loft-style decoration:

  • Brick.
  • Beams.
  • Pipes.

Loft style is different expressive texture of ceilings and walls- concrete, masonry or rough plaster that does not mask the material of the wall blocks. When the walls are smooth, then a special decorative plaster or tiles imitating brick. For walls, you can choose a different finish, which, by the way, plays an important role in zoning. For example, three walls are cleaned to bricks, and the fourth is plastered. Another option is to veneer with textured putty on the central section of a long wall, highlighting this recreation area or dining area. When painting the walls, cold colors are used.

“Unfinished” and deliberately rough finish creates the effect of unpretentiousness, democracy, negligence. But against this ascetic background, even a grandmother's bookcase or the simplest leather sofa are perceived as luxurious items, and this gives the interior a special chic.

Gas, water pipes and heating systems do not hide behind false walls or screens, but, as a necessary entourage of style, "flaunt". Metal parts are not painted, or painted "under the metal".

Wall decoration is quite original. They can be decorated with metal road signs, advertising posters, posters or painted with graffiti. An element of originality is picturesque large paintings by contemporary artists, which, as a rule, are casually installed directly on the floor, leaning against the wall.

Most often, “aged” slats are laid on the floor or covered with “stone-like” tiles.

The ceiling is painted in silver or light color. Often under the ceiling, by analogy with factory communications, they lay "industrial" large pipes made of shiny metal.

For lighting, factory rare lamps are usually used, which hang from the ceiling. But a really powerful luminous flux, which will create the atmosphere of a factory floor, can be provided by diode lamps on busbar systems.

Windows, when they are large (preferably from the floor) - do not cover with curtains. If the landscape outside the windows is very different from the urban one or they are small, then blinds are installed.

Accessories and furniture

In the loft style, furniture has the following requirements:

  • Leave large gaps between walls and furniture.
  • She must be stylish.
  • It should be a small amount.

With a deliberately simple finish, any bright and large object will catch the eye - it is very important that this is not a standard product. Preference is given ultra-modern or vintage designer furniture.

You can safely buy long sofas, wheelchairs, metal shelving, folding plastic chairs, instead of cabinets - metal floor hangers. All these pieces of furniture appeared simultaneously with the loft style, they will harmoniously complement this interior.

Furniture sets are out of place in the loft. There is no place for shelving and shelves made of wood even in utility rooms - instead of these items they put light metal shelving. Tall cabinets visually break the unity of the room, in addition, everything that is in them can be placed in the back rooms.

Of all the styles of furniture, ethnic, country, and cabinet styles are probably not suitable for a loft. cheap furniture. Preference is given leather, plastic and metal furniture.

An important point: you should avoid installing equipment and furniture along the walls. It is necessary to achieve the feeling of an empty, open, large space, where inhabited zones are located as islands.

Dining room and kitchen equipment

AT kitchen area install either rare stylized kitchen equipment in the spirit of the 50s, or a chicly equipped, but small high-tech kitchen. Technological innovations, as well as metal chrome surfaces, are welcome. Great when she looks like a small cafe kitchen or restaurant with modern equipment- stainless steel screen and shelving, countertops, bar counter, coffee machine. Moreover, the kitchen must be quite compact, and not stand out.

Any design solutions are possible in the dining area, but let the table be in high-tech or minimalist style - made of glass, plastic and metal. As a contrasting addition in the eclectic style, you can install a small sideboard handmade or a collection of antique chairs.

Living room furniture

Fluffy carpet, cozy armchair, sofa with upholstered create an oasis of relaxation and peace in the cold space of an "industrial" room. The luxurious atmosphere in this part can be distinguished by paintings by artists.

An important point - loft implies any technical innovations, in any case, it is very difficult to imagine it without high-quality video and audio equipment. A powerful audio center and home theater will look outrageous and bold against the backdrop of an old factory interior.

Bedroom arrangement

The sleeping area is allocated in the studio, taken out to the second floor or isolated with partitions. plays an important role in zoning flooring and lighting. It is not excluded that the role of a partition will be performed by a low chest of drawers or a closet, which will highlight the privacy of this area.

metal high bed will be an absolute favorite in the bedroom. Bedside tables will also bring the stamp of antiquity. Do not forget about fashionable high-tech lamps. The built-in wardrobe is installed as hidden as possible, but at the same time it must be roomy - order must always reign in the bedroom.

Arrangement of a bathroom and bathroom

The bathroom can be arranged in fundamentally different styles:

  • Trendy technogenic high-tech.
  • Eclectic style with vintage elements.

To begin with, the difference is due to the choice of plumbing equipment.

If the opportunity to buy cast-iron antique bathtub on "golden" legs, that is, it makes sense to install it in the center of the bathroom, create a vintage unique atmosphere, use aged metal shelving and choose plumbing that is close in spirit. Matte and fine mosaic tiles, exposed metal pipes, an old-fashioned bidet and vintage shower complete the loft-style bathroom renovation.

When old plumbing is missing, it makes sense to focus on new equipment. Shine of mirrors, enamel and chrome, halogen spotlights, the most modern forms, multifunctional shower and jacuzzi will contrast perfectly with uneven brickwork walls and old-fashioned drainpipes.

Decor

industrial style does not tolerate small trinkets and decor items. It is better to decorate the interior with several expressive and large objects: an exquisite figurine, an expensive vase, a couple of paintings by young artists or a designer chair.
