Do-it-yourself wooden playground for a summer residence. Do-it-yourself children's slide for a country house or cottage

Children's slide, swing, sandbox for summer cottages. Wooden CHILDHOOD - with your own hands. July 28, 2011

I remembered... Mine small miracle began to grow up, and for its growing up, I decided to stock up on heavy artillery in the form of a playground with all kinds of slides, ladders, ropes, swings.
So the long process of creating a coniferous structure began.

Other photos

I devoted a week of my vacation to leveling the site,

so I dug four cubes of sand into the hole under the playground.

Of course, it is not necessary to do this at all, and it was not worth it,

Or at least just under the hill.

where the sandbox is supposed to be.

The child, of course, was warned in advance about dad’s plans, but he couldn’t understand that this same dad had been rummaging through the middle of the site all week, digging up the earth and scattering it all over the garden, but when the KAMAZ arrived with sand, the whole family headed by mom (everyone except dad ) ran joyfully around the mountain donated by the truck. Dad took a deep breath.

While dad was digging, you could play king of the hill.
The first sketch (diagram of the playground) was like this

Another scheme with the size of the playground

She was given a shine

It turned out that it was impossible to get on the hill, there was neither an elevator nor even stairs. I started making stairs, I didn’t seem to drink, apparently I don’t have to drink to get a drunken staircase.

And

From one side, we did not close the house with boards, we wanted to observe from the country window what the child was doing.
But over time, we sewed up the wall.

Having screwed the basketball ring on, I did not immediately realize that it was upside down.

The house on the hills was filled with furniture for comfort.

The ring has been turned over.

After the sandbox appeared, a mountain of toys immediately fell into it.

We urgently need to make a pantry, namely a box.

Well, how to do without a table, because on fresh air and eat, draw - a sweet thing.

After a snack, you can also strain your brains a little and play chess or, for starters, checkers in the fresh air.

In winter, it turned out that you can roll off the roof if large snowdrifts appeared below.

Now you can even ride in the winter. Take an ice cube and bigom to the top.

It remains only to hold the light, voila, now you can invite friends to a dinner party, and then admire the stars.

A piece was cut out of the sides of the sandbox, so that it would be more convenient to lick into it.

as he repeatedly beat his head against her. Beauty certainly requires sacrifice, but not on the playground)

The slide faded in the sun, for this year we have already painted it not with impregnation, but with oil paint.

After we inserted multi-colored plexiglass.
Our windows have acquired color: blue, yellow, orange - now the grass next to the hill is cheerful.

And looking through such windows the whole world becomes more fun.

Now only a loophole is missing, so that you can climb closer to the stars,

watch them.

Urgently need to make a ladder to the roof

Five years have passed, the children have grown up and we decided to update our children's complex, to increase the space of the house above the sandbox.
It was necessary to shorten the height of the swing, so that the difference in the floor of the extension would not differ much from the height of the floor of the house.

Due to the fact that the height of the swing was shortened, their amplitude also decreased (for aunts it’s not scary, but for adults it’s noticeable), it’s a pity, of course, but something had to be sacrificed (we might find another place for the swing in the future).

Half of the roof was also dismantled in order to put it on new rails for a large roof.

Maybe on such a roof it will be possible to go down in the winter on an ice rink)

Part of the second half was also dismantled in order to increase the space in the future, we will insert a window into this space.

We painted the roof with new paint, this time not with wood impregnation, but with enamel, it turned out to be more durable

and already contains varnish in its basis.

We lay the floor in our annex, then lay plywood on top of the boards,

so that sand does not fall on the heads of those who swing on a swing.

We cut grooves under the glass. One glass will stay in place, and the second will move away,

so that you can climb out of the window onto the roof.

It remains to make a handle on both sides of the retractable glass so that it can be opened from both sides

On the side we fasten the support under the balcony, it is also a beam for attaching rings and a rope.

In the annex, as agreed, they hung a hammock.

On the other side of the house, we install a second beam for the future balcony and fastening a rope ladder or some kind of rocking chair

In order to make it possible to climb onto the balcony from below, we make a ladder.

Every 20 cm we make recesses for sticks. And fasten them with zip ties.

Paint the stairs a bright color

The frame of the balcony is ready, it remains to lay the floor.

Lay the floor and make a railing so that the children do not fall out of the balcony.

It will be possible to get to the balcony both by stairs from the street and from the house, through a sliding window.

It is only necessary to make a ladder or steps that can be used as shelves, so as not to clutter up the space of the house inside.

I really wanted to hang round wicker swings under the balcony so that several people could swing at once, but there are none for sale.

We found it on a Chinese site, we are waiting for it to be delivered, but for now we are waiting to decide to do something similar to a boat swing.

Steps appear from the house to climb onto the balcony from the inside.

What a pity that only two weekends for which everything is not in time.
To be continued

Our rocking chair was not very in demand, as it is interesting to swing on it big company, but this is not always the case.
I had to take it off and make a not-so-capacious swing out of the tire.

Now that we have in the yard funny companies we hang a big rocking chair,
and on weekdays a swing from a tire hangs.

But the other day we decided to make an elevator winch for toys or sand, so that we could lift them to the balcony with interest.

For similar slides but from less thick materials, the price ranges from 40tr and above, for example

You can also additionally make boxes for toys, a hanging table,

Do you think children's play is unsafe? Are you afraid that your child might get hurt while looking for adventure? The best way out of the situation is not to prohibit, but to provide safe place for games! Moreover, making a children's slide with your own hands is not so difficult. To do this, you need a minimum of material, a construction tool and a little imagination. BUT practical tips on construction, structural drawings and recommendations regarding the choice of building materials can be found below.

What you need to know to build a children's slide

The proverb about the need to measure several times before cutting off is especially relevant when building a play complex for a child. After all, mistakes in this matter are unforgivable!

Playground slide with swings

Five golden rules for the game slide

First of all, a children's slide should be safe and comfortable:

  1. The descent must necessarily have a “brake platform” - a section where the slope is parallel to the surface of the site. Otherwise, the descent speed will not decrease, which may cause injury to the child.
  2. The length of a do-it-yourself children's slide should be exactly twice as long as the height of the structure. So, if the length of the slope is 5 m, the height of the launch pad cannot be more than 2.5 m.
  3. Within a radius of 1 m near the descent zone there should not be any buildings or fences. This is necessary so that the child cannot hit, having accelerated strongly.
  4. It is necessary to provide special coating in the descent zone (sand, rubber mats, etc.). In rainy weather there should not be a swamp!
  5. If a sandbox or a hammock is placed under the structure, you need to sew up the “ceiling” in advance and make a roof over the launch pad (to drain water). Otherwise, sand from children's legs will fall on the heads of those who are located below.

How to choose material for a slope

The choice of materials for covering the descent is not so great. And, given the requirements that ensure the safety of the child, it is completely narrowed down to several options. But, before listing the features of these materials, let's figure out what it is impossible to make a children's slide from with your own hands:

  • Polycarbonate (especially cellular). This material, firstly, does not slide well, and secondly, when broken, it forms dangerous chips. In addition, in the summer, polycarbonate expands, forming waves. Therefore, the slide in hot weather will quickly become unusable.
  • PVC panels. A very fragile material that is not able to endure harsh winters.
  • Glass mats. Categorically not recommended for contact with the skin of a child.

How to achieve a "mirror" wood surface

Building a wooden children's slide with your own hands is a reality! But only if you are willing to set aside a few days to make a slippery wooden ramp. Indeed, in order to apply several layers of yacht varnish and sand the surface in between applications, it will take a lot of time.

What is attractive wooden slide

Advantages of a wooden slide:

  • The child will be surrounded by environmentally friendly, natural materials.
  • The surface will not heat up as much in the heat as, for example, metal.
  • In winter, a wooden slope can be filled with water and turned into an ice slide.

Disadvantages of a ramp made of wood:

  • If there is sand on the site, then the varnished surface will become unusable very quickly. Children will bring sand on their clothes and scratch the stingray with it, as if sandpaper. So be prepared to renew your coverage every year!
  • The slightest oversight while grinding the surface - and the baby is provided with splinters and scratches after riding.
  • Sliding speed by wooden surface in any case, it will be low, which will quickly make the wooden slide uninteresting for growing children.
  • In the summer, it will not be possible to convert the slide into a water park, that is, to supply water to the slope.

Advice! Instead of wood, it is better to use Finnish plywood to cover the slope of the slide. It is much more moisture resistant and perfectly tolerates the effects of precipitation.

Secrets of the slippery surface

A few secrets on how to make a children's slide made of wood really slippery:

  • Wooden escapement (dry and sanded) can be coated special oil protecting the surface (for example, "Pinotex"). This must be done in several layers. Thanks to this procedure, the tree will not lose its smoothness, and moisture will roll off well without destroying the surface.
  • Layer-by-layer sanding of the wood after each application of varnish will help to achieve the effect of a mirror surface and make the slide really slippery.
  • Plywood slope can be covered with liquid acrylic used to repair bathtubs. In addition to excellent glide, this option is also good because you can choose almost any color of the coating! But it should be remembered that scratches form quite quickly on it, into which dirt will invariably accumulate. This will not affect the functionality of the slide, but appearance designs will be damaged.

Escape from polished wood

Advice! The joint of plywood sheets looks much more aesthetically pleasing if their edges are sawn off with a jigsaw at an angle of 45º. In this embodiment, the sheets are arranged as if overlapping, and one element “creeps” onto the other.

Metal coating - we take care of the safety of the baby

A ramp made of stainless steel or galvanized sheet is a “classic of the genre” during the construction of a do-it-yourself children's slide. But this solution also has its drawbacks.

  1. Firstly, in order to cover the entire slide, you must either overlap or spend money on a much more expensive sheet of metal bigger size(sheets are available in lengths of 2.5 and 6 m). There is a third option - to allocate time for the search construction company, which agrees to "cut off" the necessary piece of stainless steel from the existing roll.
  2. Secondly, stainless steel (like other metals) gets very hot in the sun. Therefore, it is recommended to place the slope with north side to reduce the lighting intensity of the structure. But such a layout is not always possible on the site!
  3. Thirdly, thin steel is very sharp and completely unsafe for a child. An inaccurately bent corner can cause serious injury to the baby! Therefore, it is necessary to bend the sheet very carefully, firmly fixing it to the base shield.

Metal slide with handrails

Advice! Instead of a galvanized sheet to cover the slide, you can take an alucobond (aluminum panel) and attach it to liquid nails. The advantage of this solution is a wide color palette of the material!

Secrets of a good metal slide:

  1. The shield under the stainless steel sheet should be perfectly flat, without protrusions and drops. After all, stainless steel is extremely thin and does not compensate for surface flaws. For this, it is better to pre-sheathe the boards of the structure with fiberboard boards.
  2. It is not recommended to buy mirrored stainless steel, as it heats up much faster and more strongly on sunny days. Much more best option- polished stainless steel.
  3. The sheet should be much wider and longer than the slide itself. Indeed, for the safety of the child, this coating around the entire perimeter must be bent and hidden under a kind of baseboard or board.

Advice! It is necessary to fasten a sheet of metal only along the edges (to the sides and bottom). It is absolutely impossible to make fasteners on the surface of the slope of the slide!

Slide from flooring - cheap and cheerful

Another interesting and inexpensive option- covering the slide with a sheet of linoleum. The advantages of this solution are obvious:

  • the material is relatively cheap (you can buy scraps that are sold at half price);
  • under linoleum, a perfectly flat surface is not needed due to its thickness and softness;
  • the base does not rot under this material, it protects the tree from moisture and temperature changes (if the linoleum is on the sides, in the summer the slide can be made water);
  • linoleum softens impacts and does not form dangerous sharp corners, chips or splinters, like other coating options.

Linoleum slide suitable for home

But such a slide has enough disadvantages:

  • the coating must be changed annually due to its rapid wear;
  • in very hot weather, linoleum can melt, which is dangerous in terms of getting burned;
  • the sliding speed on this material is quite low;
  • the design with linoleum does not look very aesthetically pleasing.

For optimal glide, you can provide felt or felt mats for skating.

We build a wooden slide for a child - step by step instructions

The dream of every child is a multifunctional playground with which you can realize any ideas for games. So, step-by-step instruction to build a children's slide with their own hands.

Competent preparation is the key to successful construction

Preparatory stage:

  1. Take off fertile soil at the construction site and level the ground. Fill the site with sand and let it settle, compact (it is advisable to complete this stage in the fall, and start building the slide in the spring).
  2. Prepare wooden blanks (kosour, railings, boards for steps and "tunnel", timber for the base): if necessary, dry everything, saw it to the selected dimensions and carefully sand it, and then impregnate it with a protective mixture.
  3. Paint steps, handrails and boards for the “tunnel” with multi-colored enamel in 2 layers with intermediate sanding.
  4. From the 12th plywood, cut out the side elements (for lining the tunnel) and the sides of the slide. Treat the elements with impregnation.

Technique for mounting the base of the structure

Frame assembly:

  1. Build a foundation. To do this, it is necessary to make holes with a garden drill, install reinforcement in them according to the level and fill everything with concrete.
  2. Weld the corners to the reinforcement. In the pillars for the base of the slide, make cuts and mount the timber on the corners, securing everything with self-tapping screws. Connect the poles to each other with braces.
  3. Make a ladder: fasten stringers (preferably add with back side boards for additional rigidity of the structure), fill the steps on them.
  4. Mount the launch pad to which the ladder leads.
  5. Next, make a base for the descent from a bar and install a curved metal profile (25x40) for the ramp.

Bearing structures

The final stage - we finish the construction

Do-it-yourself ramp and sheathing for a playground for a playground:

  1. Lay a plywood shield on the base for the slope and make a galvanized iron flooring. Bend around the perimeter of the sheet and attach from below to metal profile. In the boards that form the platform, cut a gap and also wrap the iron flooring there.
  2. Under the slope, make a tunnel from the boards. Sew up the sides with plywood.
  3. Install the sides on the slide and the railing on the stairs.
  4. Mount the pitched roof and cover it with pre-finished plywood.
  5. Sew up the side parts of the structure with plywood sheets and cut holes in them for a climbing slide.

Creative slides - we make the dreams of a child come true

Children's imagination is strong and sometimes incomprehensible. In the imagination of a child, even the simplest hut can easily turn into a beautiful castle! Therefore, for fun, a simple descent with a ladder will be enough for kids. However, there are a lot of options on how to make a children's slide with your own hands in an extraordinary way and with fiction - examples in the photo.

Advice! In order to keep interest in the slide for a long time, it is desirable to provide additional entertainment elements on the launch pad.

Playground- the dream of every child aged 3 to 13 years. And in order for the play area to meet the changing needs of children, you need to think through all the details at the planning stage. For this, you may need to invite a specialist who will save you from having to make a children's slide with your own hands. And then a real gaming complex will appear on your site - safe and comfortable.

Video: do-it-yourself children's slide

Children's slide is a great option for entertainment, especially in the country or adjoining area. It is not difficult to make such a design, and independent work It will cost much less than buying a ready-made slide in a store. Now we will tell you how to make a slide with your own hands, what you should pay attention to and what nuances to foresee.

Material selection

The most common material options include plastic, metal and wood. We will not use the first two, since plastic is quite expensive (as a rule, this is already prefabricated structures slides), and the metal will not be practical due to the high thermal conductivity. In the summer it gets very hot, and in the cold seasons it almost instantly becomes icy. So we will have a do-it-yourself slide made of wood.

Care should be taken to ensure that the slide is located in such a way that approximately 2 meters of free space is left around it. This is necessary for safety so that children do not get injured while playing. By choosing appropriate place, let's design a slide.

By and large, the project depends solely on the size of the free space on the adjacent plot, the availability of material and your desire. We give you examples of several popular designs, but you can easily plan your own. The main thing is to make careful measurements and mark everything on the diagram.

We pay attention to a number of important points:

  • Focus on the height and age of the child;
  • Consider the steepness of the slope;
  • You may want to allow for a few bends in the slope.

The do-it-yourself slide is made from wooden beam 100 * 100 mm, 30 * 30 mm, 20 * 40 mm, as well as boards 25 * 100 mm, which will play the role of flooring and steps. We proceed from the length of the slope of the slide of about 3 meters and the height of the structure of about 1.5 meters. Having prepared the material in accordance with the dimensions indicated in your drawing, proceed to site preparation.

We clear a square or rectangle on the site with sides, according to the dimensions of the slide. This will be the place to install the supports. It is also advisable to immediately clear the entire playground, as once the structure is erected, this can be difficult.

At the corners of the planned square or rectangle, we drill holes to a depth of about 60-70 cm. We tamp the bottom of the holes and cover with a small layer (5-10 cm) of a mixture of sand and gravel for greater strength and stability.

Now we lower the racks into the holes and be sure to fasten them with a planed board at a distance of about 10 cm from the ground. This will ensure the strength of the structure and it will not stagger. Use assistants in your work who will hold the supports during fixing work. Also, do not forget to maintain a strict vertical with building level. Thus, we install all the supports (in our case there are four of them, but you can use more) and fasten them around the perimeter with boards. For greater strength, it is recommended to make a kind of lower platform from another set of boards, be sure to provide for their attachment to the main supports. This site does not carry practical value, but with it the slide with your own hands will be much stronger. However, on this site you can build something like a storage for toys, but that's another story.

Upper floor installation

At the intended level, fix the boards, similar to the design that you did at the bottom of the slide. Now we take a bar 20 * 40 mm and mount the platform on the basis of these boards right next to each other or with small gaps (10-15 mm). Be sure to provide for fastening the beam to the support posts. This can be done using metal corners. This platform is covered with a board 25 * 100 mm, which is very tightly and without gaps nailed from above to the bars. The floor of the upper platform is ready.

You can, of course, immediately attach a plastic slope to the resulting structure, but we will not deviate from the project and continue to use wood. So, we take two boards with a thickness of at least 30 mm and a length of about 3 meters (as provided for in the projects) and fasten them together with transverse boards 25 * 100 mm. Pay attention to the strength of the connection and the exposure of right angles so that your slope does not turn out to be crooked. The step of the transverse board can be left approximately 20-30 mm. Thus, we will get the base of the ramp, which can be covered with plywood or boards that should be polished.

At this stage, you just fix the material for the ramp, and then it will need to be processed. We will talk about this later. Sometimes people who are interested in how to make a children's slide choose a sheet of galvanized steel as a cover for a slope. This is, of course, a good, slippery option, but very susceptible to atmospheric influences, such as temperature changes. We will stop at wooden version, although you can use the material of your choice. In principle, the entire installation work will not change from this.

Now we attach the slope to the base. You can simply grind the edge of the board at the required angle, but for reliability it is recommended to cut special grooves, as shown in the figure. After installation, the parts are fastened with nails. Choose the angle of inclination at your discretion, for younger children it is recommended not to make too steep a descent.

An important point: the lower edge of the slope must be made in the form of a kind of "springboard" and raised above the ground at a level of about 20 cm. This is necessary so that the child does not hit the ground after the descent, but, let's say, "fly" some distance. Springboard can be made from additional boards by collecting simple design with a slight rounding inside. Thus, the end of the entire descent should be either straight or slightly upward.

We sheathe the springboard with a coating and be sure to round the front sides of the boards with grinder. We install the ramp on cross beam, about 20 cm high and fasten with corners. It is desirable to strengthen the beam by digging two small racks into the ground, but with sufficient weight of the structure, this is not a mandatory procedure.

Ladder

For the manufacture of stairs uses the same parts as in the previous step. First, determine the angle of inclination of the stairs, and then outline the angle of the steps. They must be strictly horizontal when the whole structure is ready. Fastening steps is carried out with nails.

From additional boards we construct a railing for the stairs and directly the upper platform. Racks for stair railings need to be made additionally, and the railing of the upper landing will be attached to the main racks of the slide.

The lower edges of the stairs must be protected with an additional transverse board. It is advisable to make small racks by digging them into the ground to strengthen the structure.

Finishing work

Do-it-yourself wood for a children's slide should be carefully polished. Avoid chips or other damage. It is desirable to process wood with a special varnish, and in several layers. This is especially true of the slope - the most used element. In order to save varnish, the base of the slide can be painted acrylic paint, but varnish is best suited for handrails and ramps.

Remember to let each coat of polish dry well before applying the next. Keep the coating even and carefully process all the details, up to the most inaccessible places.

Consider safety and convenience for children. We have already cleared the site, now you should take care of the softness. You can cover the entire area with special rubber tiles - they are soft enough to prevent injuries. Even if you do not have the opportunity to use such a coating, pour slides of clean, sifted sand in front of the slope. In order to prevent sand from spreading around the site, you can make a kind of sandbox from the boards left over from the construction.

Care

So, now you know how to build a slide for children with your own hands, but do not forget that it requires regular maintenance. Intensive use of the slide is the period from late spring to mid-autumn. Try to check the surface at least once every two weeks, except for obvious damage, which children should definitely tell you about. If the surface is worn off (especially true for the slope), you should carefully clean it, check for chips and re-lacquer. It is not worth saving - repair the entire surface at once, and not parts of it, because in the future you will have to do double work.

When the slide is not in use, it is advisable to cover it with polyethylene and fix it with ropes. Polyethylene is better to take opaque to protect the slide from direct sunlight. Be sure to check the surface after winter - from temperature changes, bumps may appear or construction details may loosen.

A children's slide in a country house or in a house adjoining area is great entertainment, but you can interest children not only in this, but also in the construction process itself. As you can see, building it with your own hands is not difficult, and the children will be happy to help you with this. Just do not forget about safety and regular maintenance of the structure.

Parents who have small children often have to visit playgrounds so that the child swings, plays in the sandbox, and rides down the hill. But adults do not always have enough time for such events, especially if the site is far away. Having your own plot, you can make such entertainment for a child at home. This will solve many problems of parents, and the child will always play under supervision. Today we will talk about how to make a children's slide with your own hands from improvised materials.

A metal slide is a common building from Soviet times. It was installed on the playground along with the sandbox. Metal is the strongest and durable material. But under the influence of external negative factors, it undergoes corrosion, so it is better to use stainless steel or galvanized metal for the manufacture of slides. At self-manufacturing slides at home must have a drawing at hand.

From materials and tools you will need:

  • metal pipes with a diameter of 15-25 mm, rods;
  • corners with a section of 50x50 mm, 20x20 mm;
  • sheet iron with galvanized coating;
  • multi-colored paints, cement, crushed stone;
  • welding machine, grinder, crowbar, hammer.

Having prepared necessary materials, at the site of the future installation, proceed to the manufacture of the structure according to the drawing:

  1. Start manufacturing with a frame. For the upper platform, weld a square measuring 1.5 x 1.5 m from the corner. Place stiffeners crosswise inside it. Weld on top of the square to the corners a metal sheet not less than 1 mm thick of the same size. If possible, use corrugated iron, it will give stability, and the child will not slip on the playground.
  2. Weld the finished platform to the racks. For their manufacture, you need a pipe with a diameter of 25 mm and a length of 3 m. To the ends of the racks, the lower part of which will be concreted, weld the heels from any metal scraps.
  3. Under the welded frame, mark and dig 4 holes about 1 m deep with a drill. small stones or gravel. Lower the frame racks into the pits, aligning the structure with a plumb line. Knead cement mortar with rubble and fill in the holes. After about a week, the solution will completely harden and you can continue building.
  4. From a 20 mm pipe for stability, cross-weld the frame strapping between the uprights. From the edge of the platform down to the ground at an angle of 45 °, weld a descent from 2 corners with a section of 50x50 mm parallel to each other. Across the corners, weld strips for steps from corners with a section of 20x20 mm at a distance of 20 cm from each other. Sew up the plane of the steps wooden planks or corrugated iron.
  5. On both sides of the stepped descent, weld handrails from 15 mm pipe. Sew up the openings between the handrails and the descent metal mesh or thin rods.
  6. The chute is made from 2 pipes with a diameter of 20 mm. Bend the lower part of the pipes with a pipe bender or by heating with a cutter. You should get a design from a steep descent, smoothly turning into a horizontal plane. top weld gutters to the other edge of the site. Fix stiffeners between the pipes of the gutter. From above, weld galvanized sheet metal with a thickness of at least 1 mm. If it is not possible to make a descent from solid galvanization, then weld smaller sheets with an overlap along the descent.
  7. Curve the sides of the gutter fence from a 15 mm pipe. They need to be welded parallel to the bottom at a height of 30 cm, and the sides are sewn up with galvanized sheet metal. In several places, weld supports for the gutter from any remnants of the pipes.
  8. The metal structure is ready. It remains to process it with a grinder to eliminate all sharp protrusions. The design can be decorated with multi-colored paints to make it attractive to the child. The bottom of the descent does not need to be painted, otherwise the coating will reduce slip.

Wood slide

Wooden slides at home are easier to make on your own, you don’t need to welding work. Wooden structures are less durable than metal ones, but a beautiful playground with a sandbox, a house, rope ladders and other equipment can be made from wood. For DIY construction, it is better to use wood conifers. From materials and tools you will need:

  • 4 beams with a section of 100 x 100 mm, a bar with a section of 50 x 50 mm, edged board section 25 x 150 mm;
  • galvanized iron 1 mm thick or linoleum;
  • self-tapping screws, nails, antiseptic, varnish or multi-colored paints;
  • cement, crushed stone;
  • electric planer, grinder, screwdriver, hammer, sandpaper.

Work, as always, start with drawing up a design drawing. Decide whether there will be a slide with or without a house, and draw a diagram of it. This will make it possible to calculate the consumption of material, as well as facilitate further construction.

Everything is ready, you can start carpentry work:

From the remnants of the material, make wooden benches or a sandbox near the slide. They will decorate the playground, bringing joy to children.

Plastic slides

It will not be possible to make a plastic structure on your own, it is only bought in a store. Such slides are produced in one piece and collapsible. The owner can only install a slide on the site. Collapsible models are better suited for giving. They are easy to disassemble for storage. winter period. This will prevent theft and vandalism at a time when the cottages are left unattended by the owners.

IN plastic models use different gutters, which is very popular with children. They are screw, tubular, straight and other shapes. If the child still wants an unusual descent, and the parents do not have enough money to buy, you can do it for a summer residence or at home combined option slides. The fact is that the gutters are sold separately. They are also made in any shape to order. You will only have to make metal or wooden frame and attach a plastic trigger to it.

A playground built independently for a summer residence or at home will decorate the yard, provide children with entertainment in the summer.

We hasten to please you - you can make a slide yourself, while saving on builders.

Self-manufacturing and installation of children's slides made of wood

Now everywhere, municipal services are engaged in the construction of playgrounds in parks, squares, and in adjacent territories. They use ready-made "from the manufacturer" small forms for installation, forming gaming complexes from them.

Many people remember how activists and local craftsmen in every yard made homemade wooden children's slides and other simple devices for local children.

Of course, it would be reasonable to object that there are a myriad of options for children's gaming equipment in a wide range:

  • From a wide variety of materials.
  • Various configurations.
  • Game complexes with age restrictions.
  • Separate elements (swings, slides, etc.).

But still, someone will be attracted by the option - a children's wooden slide with their own hands. This article is focused on them.

General requirements for gaming equipment

Having decided to independently arrange a children's island for outdoor games, first take on the finished drawings of a wooden slide - hand-drawn or downloaded from the Internet. The basic conditions for creating children's attractions will help to avoid mistakes in the development of the project.

Attention! Whatever the playground is, according to the manufacturer, the main requirement for it is safety.

From this basic condition, the instruction for the device of any equipment and devices for children, including children's slides made of wood, is repelled:

  • Regardless of the age of the child for whom the slide is calculated, it must be equipped with railings and fences. A child who is carried away by the game weakens attention and may lose balance. The enclosing elements of the slide will come to his aid.
  • The structure of the building should not contain partitions with slots and any kind of gaps. This threatens, if parts of the child's body get into them on the run or during the descent, cause serious injury. All elements of the structure must be calculated to the smallest detail.

Now to the question of why wooden slides for the street are best suited:

  1. The main pastime on the playground takes place during the hot summer season, so metal slide less preferred. Its details, strongly warming up in the sun, can cause burns in children. In the cold season, the metal will freeze, which is also unpleasant.

  1. Run wooden product independently on the shoulder of almost anyone who wants it. Moreover, on modern numerous sawmills you can order the manufacture individual elements any complexity. It remains only to assemble and install the structure.
  2. No less stringent requirements are imposed on the materials from which it is planned to build a play structure:
    • Environmental friendliness.
    • Fire safety, etc.
  3. The price of lumber is quite democratic.

Assembling a wooden slide

You can start building a slide when everything preparatory stages passed:

  • A drawing was created according to all the rules.
  • All construction details and fasteners are prepared.
  • The necessary tools have been collected.

Now directly phased assembly according to the drawing:

  • The descent element is assembled first. It is arranged from several boards of the same length and width. Of course, the base of wood should be carefully sanded for better and safer sliding. The boards are sewn from below with the help of connecting bars.

Advice! Optimal parameters of the descent: angle of inclination -55 degrees, length - 1300 mm. These are the factory-made slides.

  • We attach side structural elements to the assembled descent. Side boards are fixed on both sides of the descent with self-tapping screws. They should be with a small allowance in length, this allowance is advanced to the platform for gripping with hands before descending. The width of the board should provide a kind of bumpers along the entire length, directing the descent only down, preventing the child from falling off the slide halfway.
  • The side parts, as well as the descent, are carefully polished with preliminary cutting (rounding) of all sharp corners and parts. This will protect the hands of children holding on to the sides during the descent.

Depending on the project, the slide is given stability in several ways:

  1. If the design is collapsible and portable (in a more convenient this moment place for storage in the cold season), then this is a complex of struts and racks.
  2. Stationary winter wooden slides are installed on supports fixed in the ground, packed or even with a light foundation (it all depends on the group of soils).

The slide can be a simple structure, equipped only with a ladder and a platform with fences and railings, or it can have additional structures in the form of:

  • House.
  • pavilion.
  • A bridge with a whole complex of loopholes, slides, swings, etc.

What will be the children's wooden slide with their own hands to decide the master.

And of course, the scope of the imagination of a private manufacturer depends on:

  • Area that can be occupied by a playground.
  • Financial opportunities, etc.

Finishing work

It is very important to take a set of measures to protect wooden structure from:

  • Impact environment(precipitation, temperature difference, etc.). A primer and coating with paints and varnishes (LKM) will cope with this.
  • Spoilage and mold, fungus - for these purposes, it is first treated with antiseptic compounds.
  • Possible fire. It is good that the final coating layer is non-combustible, you can impregnate the wood with fire retardants before processing the paintwork.
  • Since the product will be on the street, then choose Decoration Materials from high rates protection from all external influencing factors.

Output

As you can see, making wooden slides for children on your site will not require you to have special building skills. As for the tools, everything you need can be rented in hardware store. If you are embarrassed by a self-drawn drawing, then the easiest way is to copy from a finished drawing or take our version () as a basis.
