And now we have to find out how they can be applied in practice in various diseases. After all, not all diseases should immediately begin to be treated using tablets and powders. Nature has given us such a huge amount of medicinal herbs. Surely, your grandparents used plants for many diseases. They treated them with bronchitis, and a cold, and a stomach, and a liver, and ... This list can be continued further. And this knowledge and skills were passed down from generation to generation. This is how the science of plant treatment appeared and it is called PHYTOTHERAPY.
Herbal medicine both in Russian folk medicine and in folk medicine of all continents and times has been and remains the main type of treatment. Vegetable world always gave a person an extensive and fairly large set of therapeutic agents. Phytotherapy has a centuries-old tradition, because the medicinal properties of plants were used already when most modern drugs still was not in sight. Our ancestors successfully treated many diseases using medicinal potions prepared on the basis of medicinal herbs, berries, and fruits. Indeed, medicinal plants contain vitamins, trace elements, essential oils, inorganic salts and organic acids. The effect of the use of properly selected and manufactured medicinal plants can be equal to the use of conventional medicines. But the advantage of herbal medicine is that it has a milder, more gentle effect, has much fewer contraindications and complications after taking drugs of chemical origin.

Medicinal plants can be found in the forest, in the field and even along the roadsides. Today we will talk about the most common plants, those that we meet every day and do not even know how useful they are.

2. Children's messages

1st student:

It has long been noticed by a person that some plants cure ailments. He spied that the animals are also treated with herbs, finding among the many plants they need. Information was passed down from generation to generation healing properties plants. Gradually, knowledge about them began to be collected in a book - "herbalists". In ancient times, the collection of herbs was done by healers, witches, shamans. They surrounded their craft with secrecy and in every possible way frightened away those who wanted to be hired by collecting medicinal herbs. Preparing medicines, the healer usually muttered incantations and various incomprehensible words. Of course, all this was done in order to raise the price of herbal medicines and to force people to refuse to collect them on their own.

2nd student:

For thousands of years, folk herbalists have managed to accumulate a lot of information about the beneficial properties of plants. And in our pharmacies, among many modern drugs, herbs, herbal tinctures, herbal tablets, herbal-based tablets take their rightful place. Let's take a look at the country medicinal herbs. And here is the first inhabitant of this country. There are many mysteries about her.

Evil as a wolf.

It burns like mustard!

What is this wonder?

It's (nettle)!
Of course you know what she looks like. People have something to thank nettles for. From it you can cook many useful and delicious meals. From nettles, a green, yellow dye is obtained, which is used in Food Industry. This plant is also used for temporary storage. food products. But the most important thing is that the nettle contains substances that kill germs and stop the blood. And if you take a raw nettle, ceiling and apply to a fresh wound, then the wound will be cleansed and heal quickly. Nettle is also good for strengthening hair.

3rd student:

Listen to the riddle and determine which plant it says:

Thin stem along the path.

At the end of his earring.

Leaves are on the ground

Little paddles.

He is like us good friend

Heals wounds of the legs and arms.

(Plantain)
Find plantain in our autumn bouquet.

? Why is this plant so called?

? Which of you used plantain?

? Why did you do it?

Plantain breeds very quickly. See how many seeds it has. Each seed is covered with mucus, and therefore its seeds are easily glued to the wheels, to the legs. So the plantain travels the world. Americans call the plantain "trace white man". Maybe because its leaves resemble a human footprint.
4th student (continues the story about the plantain):

It never grew in America until the Europeans introduced it. The medicinal properties of this plant have been known for over 3,000 years. It was the most widely used medicine in the Middle Ages. Plantain is used for diseases of the stomach, it is not only a good wound healing and hemostatic agent, but also a cold remedy. In this case, plantain juice is used.

A Russian legend tells that once, when two snakes were basking in the sun in the middle of the road, one of them was run over by a wagon. The second snake immediately brought her healing leaf plantain. Since then, people have learned about the healing properties of this plant.

5th student:

I want to tell you one more thing amazing plant- it's a yarrow. Look at this plant. Why do you think it's called that? Each leaf of this plant is repeatedly dissected into many narrow slices, which cannot be counted. Yarrow is used for diseases of the stomach, intestines. This plant stops blood well, improves appetite. And if you stretch the leaves and apply gruel to the wound, the wound will heal quickly.

6th student:

About what next plant there will be a story, you will learn from the riddle:

He releases sheets

Broad width.

Hold on strong branches

One hundred fruits are rough, tenacious.

If you do not bypass them -

You can find them all on your own.

(burdock)
And indeed! What plant can be more intrusive than burdock! Not only the fruits of this plant stick to a person, but he himself grows closer to a person’s dwelling. Burdock roots can replace carrots, potatoes. But they are edible in the first year of life. In Japan and China, burdock is cultivated as a vegetable. If you grind the root and cook it for two hours, you get a sweet-tasting jam. A decoction of burdock roots is recommended for strengthening hair. The fresh juice of the plant with oil heals wounds well.
7th student:

Guess what plant this is?

This boy is wearing it!

Yellow sundress.

Grow up - dress up

In a white dress

light, airy,

Obedient to the wind.

(Dandelion)
That's right, it's a dandelion. Dandelion is also a medicinal plant. It is called by scientists - "dandelion officinalis". Dandelion blooms in spring. Brightly - yellow flowers colorfully enliven nature. Dandelion leaves are used in early spring for preparing vitamin salad. In some countries they are even prepared for the future, fermented like cabbage.

This is chamomile (used for colds, inflammation of the oral mucosa, sedative and analgesic). Coltsfoot (used for coughs, squeezed juice from fresh leaves is applied to ulcers, wounds, abscesses). Motherwort (used as a sedative, for heart disease). But the real pantry of medicinal plants grows in the forest. Let's listen to the children's stories.

8th student:

In the shade of trees, among the thick grass, lily of the valley grows. The lily of the valley has two pointed leaves, and between them there are several small bells. Lily of the valley has a subtle, pleasant smell. Lily of the valley is the raw material for the drug, which is produced for the treatment of heart disease, diseases of the nervous system. Lily of the valley is a protected plant, it is listed in the Red Book, so only special organizations can harvest lily of the valley.

9th student:

highly rated man beneficial features lungwort. Lungwort is used in the treatment of bronchitis, inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, with a lack of vitamins. There are other medicinal plants in the forest. Raspberry (for sore throats and colds). Strawberries (to improve blood composition). Lingonberries (with avitaminosis - berries, with kidney diseases - leaves).

10th student:

There are many medicinal herbs in the field and in the meadow. Cornflower. Used as an antipyretic; with diseases of the bladder; in the form of lotions for eye diseases. In Russia, there is a legend according to which the beautiful young man Vasily was killed by a mermaid and turned into a flower - cornflower. In ancient Greece, it was believed that cornflower juice was able to quickly heal wounds. Shepherd's bag. Stops bleeding, is used in diseases of the kidneys, liver, bladder, as an antiemetic. Valerian officinalis is used for nervous diseases, insomnia, for diseases of the heart, gastrointestinal tract.

Teacher: But in order for these plants to help us and show their wonderful properties, they must be properly harvested, stored and used. It is necessary to adhere to strict rules. To collect plants, you need to know them well, that is, to distinguish them from others; know when they need to be collected (calendars for collecting plants will help with this), and what part of the plant is needed for treatment. You can collect plants only in dry weather, it is better immediately after dew. Do not collect contaminated plants, rusty spots growing near roads, highways.

When harvesting, plants should be laid in spacious baskets, without tamping, as they may begin to rot. Dry only in the shade, in a well-ventilated area, not in the sun. Plants need to be spread thin layer on cardboard, cloth and turn over at least 2 times a day. Do not uproot plants, do not collect all the plants to the last, in no case do not collect plants that are listed in the Red Book.

Remember: many medicinal plants are very poisonous. When collecting, you can not crush the plants in your hands, do not touch your face, lips, eyes, nose with dirty hands, so as not to bring poisonous juice onto the mucous membrane. If, nevertheless, poisoning occurs, and we begin headache, nausea, weakness, an urgent need to induce vomiting and rinse the stomach, drinking a lot of boiled water. Dried herbs are best stored in cardboard boxes, paper bags or cloth bags.

The leaves of which plant are cut into many slices?

What medicinal plant is called the "white man's footprint"?

What plants heal wounds?

How to collect and store raw materials?
4. Riddles contest

And now let's have a riddle contest:

In the heat of the stumps

Lots of thin stems.

Each thin stem

Holds a scarlet light.

Unfolding the stems

Collecting lights.

(Strawberry)

White bells.

White pots on a green leg.

(lilies of the valley)

It's just a pity that it's not fragrant:

(Cornflower)

Whoever touches -

It clings to it.

Affectionate and prickly,

Needles stick out all around.

So our journey through the country of Medicinal Herbs has come to an end. We would like to end our conversation with the following lines:

I won't pick the cornflower

And golden daisies

I'll take it to my home.

I'll take the field quietly

And in the dew a shining meadow

I will put them in our school,
