  • Knauf-superpol represents a reliable, easy-to-install and modern coating for the floor. It solves many problems.
  • Excellent sound insulation is achieved.
  • The desired level can be made without the use of complex mechanisms.
  • Can be easily changed appearance floor, without changing the design.
  • The element is mounted one by one, the whole floor can be laid in 8 hours.
  • Each element weighs a little.
  • Surface after smooth.

Scope of application

Installation of the product is carried out during the construction of prefabricated floor bases in public, industrial or residential buildings and premises. Standard gypsum fiber sheets are used in buildings with normal or dry moisture characteristics. GVLV can be used in normal, dry or wet buildings. Knauf sheets are also actively used as an element of the superfloor.

Features of preparatory work

Do-it-yourself laying technology for the presented type of floor must follow certain rules.

  • Prepare the rooms - inspect the floor, the corners of the room for cracks, free the space from all that is superfluous.
  • If defects are found on the floor surface, you should get rid of them.
  • If installation is carried out in a greenhouse, kitchen or shower room, put a polyethylene film around the perimeter of the floor. Near the walls, its edges should be higher than the height of the floor structure. When working with sand, leveling rulers are used.
  • Installation of the coating starts from the wall where the door is installed. If you have to work on the other side, you need to put special islands. At the wall, the finished lamellas are cut off at the junction. The next row leads from the same place.

Important! To minimize waste, the next row should be mounted from the cut piece.

Installation technology requires care. The offset of the butt joints should not exceed 250 millimeters. If everything is done correctly, the floor will serve reliably for several decades.

Mounting implementation

Installation of the presented floor is relevant in a number of cases. It is convenient to use it when:

  • the timing of the work should be limited;
  • lags are dilapidated;
  • there are differences in the floor surface of more than 40 millimeters - apartments of the old fund;
  • it is required to carry out the installation of a water supply system or the completion of repair work;
  • it is necessary to install a floating floor at low ambient temperature.

System installation work

First of all, measurements of the floor area and its horizontal level are carried out. used building level. Serifs are made on the wall, which show the deviation of the base from the horizon.

On the square meter coatings put 50 kg of expanded clay (with the complete removal of the previous one).

Tools and materials

Floor installation technology involves the use the following materials and tools:

  • Super PVA glue;
  • construction tape;
  • system elements;
  • polyurethane foam sealant;
  • screws;
  • vapor barrier;
  • expanded clay backfill.

If the curvature of the walls is up to 2 millimeters/m.p., it is recommended to use an edge tape. If higher, a sealant is applied. Its excess is removed with a knife.

vapor barrier

After the subfloor is cleaned of dust and debris, a vapor barrier is being installed. The overlap on the walls should be 200 millimeters. Beacons are placed on top of the film with the help of gypsum - these can be aluminum slats. Their pitch is 900 millimeters. If the element is placed on a wooden base, instead of a polyethylene film, apply:

  • glassine;
  • corrugated paper;
  • waxed paper.

Expanded clay is poured between the lighthouses. Level it with the rule. If the layer exceeds 5 centimeters, the backfill should be compacted.

Mounting sequence

  • The installation of the floor comes from the corner. The edge that is in contact with the wall is cut. One element is inserted into another according to the tenon-groove system.
  • The seams are coated with glue, connected with screws. The step between them should reach 100 millimeters. Screwing the sheet, you should stand on it.
  • The first row should be laid clearly in level. The remaining elements are placed, focusing on it.
  • There should be a gap of 1 centimeter between the sheets and the wall. In the future, it should be filled with sealant.
  • After installation, the floor should be thoroughly vacuumed.

Some nuances

With the help of the presented design, you can get a very durable floor. However, operation must be carried out in compliance with the following rules:

  • elements before installation must "get used" to the room;
  • sheets are stored only horizontally;
  • the best option is a horizontal layer of expanded clay;
  • in damp rooms, there must be a layer of waterproofing.

Installing the system is easy. At the same time, the installation process will cost you much less than the equipment of other systems. The proposed design differs high level heat and noise protection, allows you to level any surface. The only drawback is the fear of moisture. However, you definitely will not hear the neighbors from below. The system is laid in various industrial, residential and civil buildings, as well as in the presence of waterproofing, in rooms with high humidity.

Installation of the floor base "Knauf-superpol" (video)

Foreword. Many people want to do the device of the Knauf superpole with their own hands. There are many reasons for this - the floors are light, unlike concrete floors, making them a strength to many, in addition, they are warm, environmentally friendly and reliable. During installation, less dirt is formed than during pouring. In the article, we will analyze the device of the floor elements, the technology of laying the Knauf dry screed with our own hands and show the video installation instructions.

The floor in the house should be warm, environmentally friendly and durable, perfectly flat, able to withstand high mechanical loads. Almost all Decoration Materials meet the requirements if laid on a well-prepared subfloor. Knauf superpole - innovative technology to create a reliable base on which you can lay any floor covering, including on a wooden floor.

What is a dry screed knauf superpol?

Knauf superfloor laying video instruction

Floor element - KNAUF-superfloor - a product made of gypsum-fiber moisture-resistant sheets (GVLV), for the installation of a "dry" screed with your own hands - a prefabricated floor base.

The Knauf super floor device is a cleaner method of leveling the floor by laying gypsum-fiber sheets on a layer of expanded clay, which has thermal insulation properties.

Due to fine fractions of expanded clay, not only high-quality floor insulation is achieved, but also floor leveling, and the flat surface of the subfloor is made with a strong platform - Knauf floor elements fastened with glue and self-tapping screws. As a result, you can make your own floor screed without excess dirt and wet work.

Required set of materials and tools:

- polyethylene film;
— floor element KNAUF-superpol;
- edge tape;
- expanded clay;
- screwdriver;
- electric jigsaw;
- PVA glue;
- self-tapping screws for GVL;
measuring tools: tape measure, pencil.

Do-it-yourself installation of the knauf superfloor

Laying superfloor knauf on polystyrene foam

1. We spread the film on the base

To perform vapor barrier, a conventional film of 50 microns is used. The film is laid with an overlap on the walls of 10-15 cm and an overlap between them of at least 20 cm. Along the perimeter of the room, between the film and gypsum-fiber sheets, an edge tape of porous material is laid to the height of the expanded clay backfill.

2. We arrange beacons in the room

Beacons are not used in the manufacturer's instructions, but without sufficient experience, mistakes can be made when leveling the mixture yourself. An inverted profile is used as beacons. The profile lies flat on the floor, and expanded clay is poured between its edges. The contact of metal with Knauf floor elements is minimal, so the floor will be warm, regardless of whether the Knauf dry floor is laid on the foam plastic or on the wooden floor.

3. Scatter and level expanded clay

Do not fill the entire floor, there is enough surface for laying several sheets so that you can walk around the room without problems. At the same time, expanded clay crumbs will not fall on the joints of the sheets when they are laid. It is worth noting that it is possible to mount a Knauf superfloor on a wooden floor and on a concrete one.

4. Laying the floor elements

The basic rule during installation is not to move the sheet along the surface of the backfill. Just gently place the sheet on top and secure. Although this is not easy, since the sheet weighs 17 kg. Working together, the sheets are stacked much easier. On the sheets along the walls, before laying, the fold is removed so that the GVL layer is the same.

5. We fix the sheets with screws and glue

Sheets are stacked with an offset, like brick laying. The superfield element consists of two gypsum fiber sheet glued with offset, and therefore there is a field for fastening with self-tapping screws. Each sheet is fastened with self-tapping screws every 10-15 cm. For strength, the manufacturer recommends gluing the seams with PVA glue.

Features of Knauf-super technology

Laying the Knauf superfloor on a wooden floor

Dry screed is much faster than concrete. This is a prefabricated floor system that reduces labor intensity and avoids wet processes. Knauf floors reduce the load on the ceiling, increase the heat and sound insulation of rooms. Usually, a superfloor is assembled on top of an expanded clay screed with a fraction of up to 5 mm.

Despite the simplicity, laying floor elements is not primitive, but requires skill. The technology has many subtleties, the observance of which will give a good result. To install the Knauf superfloor with your own hands, you should not rush, watch the video and study the process thoroughly in order to implement all the work yourself.

KNAUF-superpol - rough floors made of gypsum-fiber sheets. (GVL). "Dry screed".

For the device of the base for finishing floors, the Knauf concern has developed a very interesting technology KNAUF OP 13. Its essence can be described by the term "dry screed".

Floor bases Knauf OP 13 - general information
Knauf OP 13 floor bases are hollow, easy-to-mount dry-assembled structures designed for installation in residential and public buildings, as well as in office and auxiliary premises of industrial buildings:
- with non-standardized requirements for sound insulation of floors;
- with the requirements for sound insulation of floors according to SNiP 23-03-2003: airborne sound insulation indices (Rw) up to 56 dB and reduced impact noise indices (Lnw) up to 47 dB;
- in conditions excluding "wet" processes during finishing works;
- for leveling the floor surface and (or) raising the floor level, as well as shelter technical networks on overlappings in a dry way; - if necessary, reduce the load on the floors;
- under tight deadlines and low temperatures(up to +5 °С) during the period of finishing work.

Knauf OP 13 floor bases can be installed both on concrete and on hardwood floors. Prefabricated floor bases OP 13 are used indoors:
- with a non-aggressive environment, weak and moderate intensity of mechanical impacts according to SNiP 2.03.13-88;
- with dry, normal and humid humidity conditions according to SNiP 23-02-2003;
- without restrictions on structural systems and types, levels of responsibility, degrees of fire resistance and number of storeys of buildings, climatic and engineering-geological conditions of construction.

The use of the Knauf OP 13 floor base is also allowed in rooms with high humidity (bathrooms, showers, etc.), provided that waterproofing is provided. The base surface of the floor Knauf OP 13 is suitable for all types of floor coverings. The installation of heated floors is recommended on the surface of the screed.
The system of prefabricated floor bases Knauf OP 13 includes two varieties: OP 131 and OP 135, which differ from each other in the degree of readiness of the screed parts for installation in construction conditions. In OP 131, the screed is mounted from floor elements (EP), and in OP 135 it is assembled under construction conditions from two small-format moisture-resistant gypsum-fiber sheets (GVLV)
Let us consider in more detail the Knauf OP 131 system (Knauf-superpole)

Technology Knauf-superpol (Knauf OP 131)

The basis of this technology is the floor elements (EP) Knauf-superfloor made of gypsum-fiber sheets (GVL) with a size of 1500 x 500 x 20 mm. They consist of two 10 mm gypsum fiber sheets glued together with an offset forming folds (locks). The folds of the floor elements are glued special glue and are fastened together with special screws, after which a layer of ordinary gypsum-fiber sheets is laid on top.

Underfloor heating and Knauf-superfloor
The thermophysical properties of gypsum-fiber sheets make it possible to use them for the installation of heated floor bases. Recommended as heating elements in the construction of a thermal floor made of GVL, the use of plastic or metal-plastic pipes with hot water(coolant).

Device Knauf systems OP 131 on concrete base
When preparing a concrete base, it is necessary to clean the surface and seal cement mortar grade M500 detected gaps between the plates, as well as gaps between the floor and walls. After the cracks are sealed, the final "cleaning" of the surface is carried out. If there are minor (up to 5 mm) irregularities in the form of concrete grains or holes on the concrete base, the floors are leveled using an intermediate layer, for example, corrugated cardboard, fibrous insulating material etc. To fill local irregularities (up to 20 mm), it is recommended to use "repair" mixtures, for example, "Vetonit 4000". For large irregularities (over 20 mm) or different levels bases, expanded clay of fine fraction is used. Its layer can be of various thicknesses, for example, to raise the level of the floor, but the main purpose of the backfill is to level the surface. If the floors are insulated with polystyrene foam boards, then the surface of the supporting base must be leveled with putty or a sand-cement mixture.
After the surface is prepared, the floor is covered plastic wrap 0.2 mm thick with an overlap of adjacent sheets of at least 200 mm. This ensures good vapor barrier.
Note: With a wooden supporting base, instead of a film, glassine, waxed or corrugated paper, as well as modern universal vapor barrier such as "Yutafol N", "Svetofol", etc. are used.
At the wall, the edge of the foil must be laid approx. 20 mm above the level of the prefabricated floor. Floor level - either 20 mm polystyrene foam or mineral wool, or 30 mm glass wool or grout, plus the thickness of two GVL slabs (2 x 10 mm) - they will "cover" the structure. As a result, the floor level rises by 40-50 mm from the base base. (Fig. 1.)

Rice. 1. KNAUF OP 131 floor construction from gypsum fiber boards (GWP):
1. Foundation; 2. Lags; 3. Rough flooring; 4. Waterproofing; 5. Dry backfill; 6. Knauf-superpole floor element; 7. Edge tape.
IMPORTANT!!! In order to avoid deformation of the floating floor and improve the sound insulation characteristics, it is necessary to exclude the possibility of contact between the plates and the wall. To do this, a contour insulating tape 10 mm thick and 10 cm wide, cut from mineral wool(edge tape), or a soft tape on a polymer basis with a thickness of at least 8 mm. The edging tape absorbs noise and serves as an expansion joint, preventing the boards from "walking" and cracking. Cutting GVL sheets according to the actual dimensions of the room is carried out taking into account the gap on the edge tape.

Backfill insulation
If the insulation is backfilled, it is simply poured onto the floor and leveled with a rail along the beacons set using the level (for example, rack profiles), starting from the wall opposite the entrance. With a thickness of more than 50 mm and at the junctions with a monolithic floor, the backfill must be compacted.

Plate heater
If it is polystyrene foam, mineral wool or glass wool, they are carefully cut into small slabs. When laying, you need to make sure that the plates adjoin each other very tightly. When laying expanded polystyrene, it is necessary to exclude the formation of gaps between the plates.

Laying gypsum-fiber sheets (GVL) Knauf
Laying the 1st layer of gypsum fiber sheets Knauf with a gap in the joints of not more than 1 mm is carried out from the doors to preserve the surface of the backfill. When installing the screed on the side opposite from the door on the backfill, it is necessary to arrange a "path" from the sheets for movement.
If used thermal insulation boards, laying should start from the opposite wall. Joint offset must be at least 200 mm.
Next, the 1st layer of gypsum-fiber sheets (GVL) Knauf is carefully covered with an adhesive. Glue must be applied sequentially (separately) under each sheet of the 2nd layer, avoiding gaps. The average consumption of glue is 400 g/sq.m.
Laying sheets of the 2nd layer is carried out across the 1st layer with a gap of not more than 1 mm so that they cover the cross-shaped joints of the first layer with their plane. In this case, the gap between the joints should be at least 250 mm (starting from the corner, a quarter should be laid on the whole sheet of the 1st layer, and half of the sheet from the wall). Adhesive protruding from the seams can be removed with a spatula.
In addition, the fastening of each sheet of the 2nd layer (as it is laid) is carried out with special screws for GVL with a length of 19 to 30 mm with a sheet thickness of 10 mm and a length of 23 to 30 mm with a sheet thickness of 12 mm (step no more than 300 mm) . Screws must be with anti-corrosion coating.
IMPORTANT!!! It is FORBIDDEN to fasten gypsum-fiber sheets (GVL) with screws for ordinary drywall (GKL). The screw for GVL has a double thread and a device for self-sinking, which makes it possible to penetrate into the sheet by 12 mm in one pass. Very often, under the influence of operational loads, spontaneous unscrewing of the screws on the gypsum board, which fastened the floor elements from the gypsum board, occurs.

Installation of Knauf-superpol elements

2.

Installation of floor elements is carried out from the wall with a doorway. For floor elements adjacent to walls, the rebate in the interface area is cut off. Each new row begins with laying, cut in place of the last element of the previous row, which eliminates waste and ensures the displacement of the end joints in adjacent rows (at least 250 mm).
IMPORTANT!!! Joints with cut folds are not allowed /

3.

Before mounting the floor elements, the folds of the already laid elements mating with it are applied with Polaks, PVA or Systemkleber glue. As the installation progresses, the folds of adjacent elements are fastened with special screws for GVL with a length of 19 to 30 mm in increments of no more than 300 mm.
The finished floor from Knauf-superfloor elements is covered from above with small-format GVL sized 1500 x 1000 (1200) x 10 (12) mm, or GVL sheets of the usual format, which is less convenient.
In all cases, gaps and screw installation sites are sealed with Fugenfüller GV or Uniflot putty, after which the edges protruding above the floor level are removed edging tape and polyethylene film. Then the 2nd layer of gypsum fiber boards must be primed with any primer for highly absorbent substrates.
IMPORTANT: When installing Knauf prefabricated floors in a humid room (bathroom), a waterproofing tape (Flehendichtband, Knauf) must be laid at the junction of the floor with the walls, and the floor surface must be covered with waterproofing (Flechendicht).

5.

Foreword. Many people want to do the laying of the Knauf superfloor with their own hands in a room or on a balcony. Floors using this technology are light, unlike concrete floors, in addition, they are warm and reliable. When installing a superfloor, less dirt is generated than when self-leveling floors. We will disassemble the device of the Knauf floor elements on our own and show the video instructions for installing dry floors at the end of the material from professionals.

4. Laying floor elements

The main rule when installing floor elements is not to move the sheet along the backfill. You just need to put the sheet on top of the expanded clay backfill and fix it. Although this is not so easy to do, since one sheet weighs about 17 kg. By doing the work together, it will be much easier to lay the rough coating. On all sheets running along the walls, the fold is removed.

5. Fixing sheets with self-tapping screws and glue

Sheets are laid on the floor with a seam offset, similar to brickwork or insulation of the facade with foam. The floor element consists of two gypsum-fiber sheets glued together, so there remains a field for fixing the sheet with self-tapping screws. Each Knauf floor sheet is fastened around the entire perimeter with wood screws every 10-15 cm. For greater strength, the manufacturer recommends gluing PVA seams.

Features of Knauf superpol technology

Dry screed Knauf superpol is faster than concrete screed. This is a prefabricated system that significantly reduces the complexity of leveling and floor insulation. Knauf floors significantly reduce the load on the floor, as they distribute the weight, in addition, the expanded clay layer significantly increases the thermal insulation of the premises. Typically, floor elements are laid on top of expanded clay backfill with a fine fraction of up to 5 mm.

Laying floor elements is quite simple, but requires some skill. This technology has many subtleties, following the manufacturer's instructions will give an excellent result. To install the superfloor with your own hands, watch the video tutorial from professional builders and learn the process thoroughly. You should not rush into this matter in order to end up with perfectly flat and warm floors in the house.

German manufacturer of coupler Knauf dry It is positioned as Superpol, suitable for operation in dry and damp rooms, the temperature inside of which does not fall below + 10 degrees.

In addition to materials for 4 types of dry screed - Alpha, Beta, Vega and Gamma, Knauf company manufactures tools for this technology (2 guide rails and one sliding rule in the basic package).

However, the original brand products are expensive, when repaired on your own you can get by with GVL sheets of any manufacturer, plastic wrap, damper tape and expanded clay sand from the nearest building material store. The tool is an aluminum rule of 1.5 - 2 m and a profile from GVL systems (usually rack 2.7 x 6 cm).

Knauf dry screed device in layers

In the album of technical solutions of Superpol with the materials of the manufacturer, the Knauf dry floor screed is represented by four options with different composition of the “pie” of the design:

  • Alpha- on even floors or slabs, previously leveled with a self-leveling floor, only two layers of GVL sheets without film waterproofing are used;
  • Beta- also on even floors, but acoustic (usually sound-absorbing) material is laid under the gypsum fiber panels;
  • Vega- a system for an uneven base, includes a layer of expanded clay sand, on which two layers of GVL sheets are laid;
  • Gamma- soundproofing is laid under the gypsum fiber boards, then a waterproofing film and expanded clay backfill.

Variants of the Superpole Knauf pie.

Important! The design of the Knauf Superfloor is floating, therefore, for all these options, a damper tape along the perimeter of the walls at the junction points is mandatory.

In practice, the laying technology is most often used according to the Vega and Gamma options. Expanded clay backfill is cheaper than self-leveling floor, in addition to leveling the floor, it further improves the acoustic properties of floor slabs:

Technology

Superpole

Number of layers Airborne noise isolation index R (dBa) Structural reduced noise index L (dBa) Structure thickness (cm)
Alpha 2 GVL 24 52 60 2
Beta 2 GVL + porous sound insulator 28 53 55 3 – 5
Vega 2 GVL + expanded clay + polyethylene 36 53 58 4
Gamma 2 GVL + porous sound insulator + polyethylene + expanded clay 60 55 55 5 – 11

Important! If a warm floor is included in the project, it is laid OVER the dry Knauf screed. Before tiling, the surface of the GVL sheets is puttied with a continuous layer of at least 2 mm thick with special elastic compounds, for example, Knauf LevelerShpachtel 415.

Features of dry screed for different floor coverings.

Laying technology

Unlike wet and semi-dry screeds, the installation of Superpol is much faster. You can walk on a dry screed already during the installation of GVL sheets. This option provides not only high maintainability of the structure, but also the communications hidden under it. Boxes and other drywall structures do not gain moisture, as there are no wet processes, windows do not fog up, even with poor ventilation.

Knauf dry screed floor slabs must be inspected to identify defective areas. The sequence of operations at this stage is as follows:

  • removal of a loose layer of concrete or processing it special formulations(deep penetration primer);
  • seal putty mixtures cracks, joints and seams as needed;
  • dust removal and removal of oil stains;
  • drying wet areas concrete.

Important! For the Superfloor of the Alpha version without expanded clay sand, it is necessary to level the slabs with a self-leveling floor.

Horizontal level beating

For a dry Knauf floor screed, it is impossible to use the understatement method highest point horizontal level, since the GVL sheet cannot be brought "to zero". Therefore, the rise in the level of the finished floor will be at least 2 cm at the top point.

The horizontal offset is done as follows:

  • a laser level or plane builder is installed in one room so that the beam penetrates the walls of adjoining rooms;
  • at an arbitrary height, a single line is drawn in all rooms of the cottage/apartment;
  • the distances from this line to the floor slabs are measured, the upper point is found ( minimum size according to the results of measurements);
  • the perimeter of the walls is pasted over with a damper tape, the upper edge of which should be 2 cm above the mark floor covering;
  • the upper line of the horizontal level is transferred to the tape with a tape measure, taking into account the indicated values \u200b\u200bof the thickness of the dry screed.

Advice! When using the plane builder, it is not necessary to make a line; all subsequent operations can be performed with the device turned on, focusing on its laser beam.

Waterproofing, insulation and acoustic material

Depending on the acoustic and thermodynamic characteristics of the floor slab, dry screed cake may contain different materials. Therefore, they fit in the sequence:

  • noise absorbing or soundproof material directly on floor slabs;
  • polyethylene film with an overlap of strips of 15 cm minimum, the edges of which go onto the walls 2 cm above the level of the floor covering (launched under the damper tape), in the absence of acoustic material, they cover the ceiling with it;
  • thermal insulation - over previous layers or one polyethylene film.

Important! It is not necessary to reinforce dry screeds, the contours of the warm floor are not used inside them. All risers passing through the ceiling engineering systems wrapped with damper tape.

Backfilling of expanded clay crumbs

To reduce labor costs bulk material Compavit is applied to the previous layers of the dry screed cake using the following technology:

Important! When using a conventional galvanized profile, traces of shelves remain in the Compavit layer, which must be further leveled. The special Knauf tool allows you to avoid this operation - the guides are laid on top of expanded clay, and the rule has a special profile (cutouts along the edges), so there are no traces of lighthouses.

Laying GVL sheets

Unlike wet screeds, it is easier for the master to move around expanded clay by laying several pieces of GVL from 50 x 50 cm in size. Therefore, laying sheet material it is not necessary to start from the corner farthest to the doorway.

Unlike conventional GVL sheets, the manufacturer Knauf manufactures EP elements - two panels glued together with an offset of 5 cm. Due to the offset, a seam connection is obtained between adjacent rows by default.

The technology for installing the upper hard layer of a dry screed is as follows:

Important! The manufacturer completes the Superpol systems with self-tapping screws 3.9 mm long 19 - 45 mm (100 pieces in a box) marked MN.

The nuances of Superpole Knauf

Ideally, a dry screed should be installed in all areas of the home at once. Since at the junction with the doorway, expanded clay will spill out from under the GVL sheets. However, in practice, Superpol is mounted in separate rooms, so the following technique is used:

Thus, bulk material is completely limited by a rigid box, cannot spill out from under the top layer.

Important! Even light partitions are forbidden to lean on the Knauf Superfloor, so they must be erected before the installation of a dry screed.

Thus, the Knauf dry screed is a complete system with detailed guide album editing standard solutions manufacturer. However, you can make the design yourself from ordinary GVL sheets without special tools.
