Dry screed Knauf. Knauf super-floor system: dry screed using German technology

Traditionally, a boardwalk or sand-cement screed acts as a subfloor. The appearance of Knauf floors was a real technological breakthrough. Since the advent of this flooring technology, no manufacturer in the construction sector has been able to create anything more economical.

Building materials manufactured by Knauf have the widest distribution on the territory of our country. They are of impeccable quality, in the Knauf product range there are several dozen varieties of dry mixes, primers, sheet materials(tongue-and-groove, plasterboard, gypsum-fiber sheets).

Bulk floors produced by this company are an environmentally friendly, fireproof material with excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. They are used both in capital construction and during repair work. Floors from Knauf have the following positive qualities:

  • fire resistance. Plates GVL are not subject to combustion;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • simple installation with minimal time costs;
  • compliance with the highest building standards;
  • creation of an optimal microclimate;
  • Knauf floors can be used immediately after installation;
  • you can use any material for the finishing device: laminate, carpet, parquet, porcelain stoneware, or linoleum;
  • for flooring such a floor does not require careful surface preparation, in technological process installation there are no operations that require the preparation of any solutions;
  • during operation, the coating does not deform, does not creak, there are no cracks and breaks on it. The total weight of the floors is small and does not create a significant load on the floors and supporting structures;
  • installation of the floor can be done in winter in an unheated building, the main thing is that there is not much humidity in it.

And another important plus is the most low-cost flooring.

RecommendationsBefore use, floor elements must undergo acclimatization (adaptation) in the room.
In the installation area, the floor elements must be stored in a horizontal position (flat) on a flat surface.
The design of the prefabricated floor base (screed) should not have slopes.
In case of installation of a prefabricated floor base (screed) in wet rooms (bathrooms), lay the Knauf-Flehendichtband waterproofing tape on the joints of the floor with the walls, and cover the floor surface with Knauf-Flechendicht waterproofing.
If the floor covering is a thin elastic material, it is recommended to cover the subfloor with a layer of self-leveling putty Knauf-Boden 15 (Leveling spatula 415) with a thickness of at least 2 mm.

What is included

Knauf floors are made by gluing two moisture-resistant sheets of GVL (gypsum fiber). The thickness of the resulting sheet is 2 cm, linear dimensions- 1200x600 mm, 5 cm folds are arranged around the perimeter.

Also integral part Knauf floors are fine-grained expanded clay, the amount depends on the layer thickness that is required at a given construction site. If the layer exceeds 6 cm, a second layer of GVL boards is required. The kit usually includes a plastic film and self-tapping screws. After proper styling Knauf floors form a flat, durable surface that can withstand a significant load - up to 500 kg per sq. m.

Tools and material required for installation

  1. The vacuum cleaner is construction.
  2. Paint brush.
  3. Building plaster.
  4. Level (regular building or water).
  5. Priming deep penetration.
  6. Pencil or marker.
  7. Hacksaw for metal.
  8. Self-tapping screws of the desired size (from 2 cm).
  9. Metal guides (rack profile, 60 mm wide or metal beacons).
  10. Waterproofing.
  11. Metal rule.
  12. Glue (PVA or liquid nails).
  13. Screwdriver.
  14. Putty knife.

Foundation preparation

In the case when the floor is laid during repair work, it is necessary to completely dismantle the old coating to a concrete (or wooden) base. For the installation of Knauf floors, the base may not be completely even, but it must be taken into account that the bedding layer should not be more than 10-12 cm.

It is very important in the process of preparing for installation to thoroughly clean the entire area from dirt and construction debris, close up large potholes / cracks with concrete or gypsum mixture. The surface should preferably be vacuumed by a professional construction vacuum cleaner and treat with a deep penetration primer. After the soil has dried, you can proceed to the insulation device.

Hydro and vapor barrier device

This is important technological stage and it must be approached responsibly - a well-made insulating layer will help you get rid of problems with the floor on long years. If moisture penetrates, then subsidence of individual sections of the floor and swelling of the plates, leading to deformation of the flooring, is possible. First of all, it is necessary to check the horizontalness of the surface using a level and make marks on the walls along the entire perimeter of the room, which determine the level of backfill. For waterproofing, you can use rolled self-adhesive waterproofing materials, PVC film (at least 200 microns thick) or vapor barrier. The waterproofing film is laid with an overlap of about 20 cm, the joints are fixed with adhesive tape.

Waterproofing film laid with an overlap

On the walls, waterproofing should be brought up to the marks that limit the backfill layer.

For wooden floors, glassine can be used as an insulation that protects against moisture. Also suitable paper impregnated with bitumen.

After installing the waterproofing, you should proceed to the creation of sound insulation. A 10-cm layer of insulation (edge tape) is laid along the walls, which will prevent the floor from deforming and create sound insulation. Plain foam tape can also serve as an insulator. They are self-adhesive and ordinary (attached with construction tape or a stapler). good option there will also be the use of a special damper tape.

Powder base

The base for GVL slabs can be made not only from expanded clay and silica sand, but also from other types of sand. Screenings or slag (small fraction) can also be used. These materials are free-flowing, almost do not precipitate, and have high porosity. They have a low hygroscopicity index, so they are optimally suited for Knauf floors.

The volume required for backfilling depends on the size of the room and the size of the layer, which, in turn, is determined by the presence of communication and the existing slope of the surface. Before you start backfilling, you need to install beacons - guides with which the dry screed will be leveled. Two extreme profiles (or beacons) are placed at opposite walls strictly horizontally. They should be placed parallel to each other, the distance from the wall is about 15 cm.

You can put under beacons wooden blocks or small pieces ceramic tiles, but it is better to make supporting poles from gypsum. Then the cord is pulled and intermediate profiles are installed, parallel to the rest, at a distance of 1.5 meters from each other. After installing the beacons, expanded clay is poured and carefully leveled with a metal rule.

Leveling the backfill with a special rule

After leveling, the beacons must be very carefully removed (having previously arranged temporary platforms made of thick plywood about 60 by 60 cm in size for moving on them) and pouring expanded clay, carefully level it with a metal spatula without disturbing the surface level. On large areas, installation should be carried out in stages: having completely covered a certain area of \u200b\u200bthe floor, you should proceed to further leveling.

On an absolutely flat surface that does not have deviations from the horizontal, expanded clay backfill is not needed. Instead, you can tightly lay sheets of expanded polystyrene (extruded), making an accurate cut. Mount Knauf floors on polystyrene foam, observing the usual technology.

Having tamped expanded clay, you can proceed with the installation of GVL sheets. Prefabricated floor elements from Knauf are easy to install, you just need to take your time and carefully follow the entire installation technology. It is better to start laying sheets from the door, on the first sheets, the folds should be removed from one side (from the walls) so that they lie flat and do not sink into expanded clay. The installation scheme is “brick”, with the joints offset by half of the next sheet. The first sheets must be carefully aligned, the level of the assembled floor will depend on how evenly they lie. The folds are glued together and scrolled with self-tapping screws every 10-15 cm.

Fastening sheets with self-tapping screws

GVL sheets can be cut with a hacksaw or a regular hacksaw with small tooth. It is necessary to ensure that expanded clay or other bulk material did not hit the joints. Knauf floors can be assembled at the same time in the entire apartment, while maintaining one level. Installation should be carried out with a partner, in one working day you can lay the floor on an area of more than 100 square meters. m.

Knauf floors have passed the test of time, the manufacturer guarantees really high quality, but the superpole also has its drawbacks:

  • almost always you have to cut the fold from the sheets adjacent to the wall. This eventually leads to a slight subsidence of the floor during operation;
  • removing beacons and pouring a small amount of expanded clay is quite difficult to maintain a completely flat surface, which is necessary for installation. But beacons left under the floor can also lead to deformation of the coating.

Knauf floors are afraid of moisture and require carefully executed waterproofing.

During the installation process, you need to ensure that the bulk material is absolutely dry, otherwise the floor may “lead”. Knauf floors are not recommended for basements and basements. When laying such a floor in bathrooms and kitchens, it is necessary to perform high-quality waterproofing and install top coat impervious to moisture. Such a floor should not be arranged even in rooms with a heavy load - in office and municipal buildings, in production workshops. Knauf floors are a great option for an apartment or a private house with good ventilation system. If the installation was done with high quality, such a floor will serve you for a very long time.

The floor is an integral part of the room and affects not only the interior of the room, but also such indicators as temperature and humidity, the level of thermal protection. That's why international company Knauf, working in the field of building materials production, developed the Knauf-superpol technology, which allows you to quickly perform a high-quality installation of the floor base for further laying the finish coating.

Knauf-superpol - what is it?

Knauf-superpol is a national team design or a system that allows you to avoid "wet work" on the concrete screed and, accordingly, reduce technological interruptions associated with its drying.

Elements of this system are glued gypsum-fiber sheets, offset by 50 mm relative to each other, due to which folds are formed around the perimeter. The Knauf-superfloor element has a total thickness of 20 mm and overall dimensions of 1.2 × 0.6 m. With this thickness, the floor element weighs a little, but its surface load resistance reaches 20 MPa.

As a leveling base for the elements of this system, dry backfill from expanded clay (with a fraction size of 0-5 mm), ideally filling the space and having excellent thermal and sound insulation, as well as fire performance. If the expanded clay granules are larger, in silence when walking, you can hear a slight characteristic crunch.

System floating floor Knauf, as it is also called, has a series of benefits:

  • reduction timing installation. The Knauf-superpol system allows you to complete all the work in just a few days and not make a technological break for drying the screed - you can start laying the final floor covering right away. However, according to the recommendations of experts, you should not touch a dry screed for several weeks with a backfill layer thickness of more than 5 cm, since with such a thickness the backfill material will shrink by approximately 15 mm;
  • The main advantage of this system is absence wet work. Laying a dry screed can be carried out without fear in a room where the repair has already been completed;
  • sound and heat insulation. Expanded clay backfill prevents the penetration of noise and heat loss;
  • floating floor technology creates base which is ready for further coverage and does not need additional alignment of small differences and irregularities inherent in the sand-cement screed. This means it saves both time and money. Since the base, mounted from Knauf-superfloor elements, is smooth and even, any type of flooring can be laid on it, whether it be linoleum, laminate, tile, and so on;
  • unlike cement-sand, a dry screed is light and does not load the floors;
  • pipes or wiring can be laid directly in the dry screed.

Knauf-superfloor is laid on wooden and concrete floors in rooms with non-aggressive environment. When laying a waterproofing layer, the application of this system is also possible in showers and bathrooms. This system is especially relevant in conditions of reduced loads on floors or when “wet” work is excluded.

When is the Knauf system relevant?

Such floors have a wide range of possibilities and allow in some cases to do without low cost. Use dry screed convenient:

  • to eliminate differences in the floor base over 40 mm. This applies to apartments of old buildings, where a serious difference in elevation is the norm;
  • during the installation of electrical wiring and water supply systems after the completion of repairs;
  • with limited repair work;
  • Possibility to install a floating floor low temperatures air;
  • when the lags are dilapidated.

Dry screed construction

Dry screed works Knauf begin with measurements of the covered floor area and its horizontal level. This can be done using the building level, making notches on the wall indicating the deviation of the base from the horizon. The serifs are then connected with a ruler and thus the required layer of expanded clay backfill is determined. The expanded clay layer should not exceed 100 mm. The required amount of backfill is determined from the calculation of 50 kg (1 bag) of backfill to cover 1 m². But this ratio is true in the case when the previous floor covering is completely dismantled.

For installation floating floor will need:

  • glue "Super PVA";
  • Knauf-superpole elements;
  • self-tapping screws for gypsum-fiber sheets;
  • expanded clay backfill;
  • vapor barrier;
  • construction tape;
  • edge tape or polyurethane foam sealant.

more expedient edging tape apply when the curvature of the walls is up to 2 mm / r.m. If this figure is higher, it is better to fill the gap between the wall and floor base sealant, the excess of which, after solidification, is removed with a sharp knife.

After cleaning the base of the floor from small debris and dust is spread a vapor barrier (polyethylene film) with an overlap of about 200 mm on the walls. On top of this film, using a thick gypsum mortar, beacons are installed at the marked level, for example, aluminum slats for laying gypsum boards, with a step of 900 mm. When laying elements systems on a wooden supporting base instead of a polyethylene film, corrugated, waxed paper or glassine is used.

Falling asleep in the space between the lighthouses expanded clay fraction, which is leveled by the building rule. When forming a layer over 5 cm, the backfill must be carefully compacted.

Process styling elements of the Knauf-superfield starts from the corner. The edge adjacent to the walls is trimmed. All elements are mounted according to the "thorn-groove" type, while the seams are smeared with glue and then connected with self-tapping screws with a pitch of 100 mm. Experts emphasize that at the time of screwing in the screws, it is necessary to be on the sheet that is being screwed.

The first row of elements carefully flattens out according to the intended level, since the installation of the remaining parts of the system will depend on this. The regulated gap between the wall and the gypsum-fiber sheets - 1 cm - is subsequently filled with polyurethane foam sealant. After all the sheets are mounted, the finished base must be vacuumed.

Nuances

This design of the floor base allows you to get as a result durable coating capable of supporting the weight of the loaded passenger car. However, in order to avoid unpleasant "surprises" during the operation of the assembled flooring, professionals recommend adhering to several rules:

  • before installation, the elements of the Knauf-superfloor system must adapt to the room where they will be laid.
  • GVL sheets should be stored on a flat surface strictly horizontally.
  • the base layer of expanded clay should not deviate much from the horizontal level.
  • when arranging the base from sheets Knauf in wet rooms in addition to the mandatory laying waterproofing tapes along the walls, the surface of the mounted elements is covered with a layer of waterproofing. By the way, the manufacturer Knauf also produces them.
  • when finishing with a thin elastic material, the base is covered with a layer of no more than 2 mm of self-leveling putty.

As you can see, the construction process of the Knauf superpole uncomplicated, saves not only time, but also money, allows you to reduce the load on the floor, increase the level of noise and heat protection, as well as level the floor covering of complex configuration. The only disadvantage of this base is its defenselessness against moisture, in case the neighbors flooded from above. However, for neighbors below, after installing the Knauf-superfloor, additional sound insulation will be a gift.

Knauf superpol, Knauf, correctly called the prefabricated base of the floor. It is also called dry screed Knauf. The dry screed kit includes special bedding and floor elements. The elements of the floor are two standard sheet GVL (10 mm), glued to each other with a diagonal offset of 5 cm. The thickness of the floor element is 20 mm. This offset creates a locking joint along the edges of the sheet, which allows overlapping sheets (see photo). lock connection allows you to keep the same thickness of the entire resulting base.

Purpose of dry screed

Knauf superpol is designed for leveling the floor, without mixing the mortar and laying the cement-sand screed. Any finishing coatings can be laid on a dry screed, including floor heating systems. Usually the sheets are laid in one layer.

The photo shows a polystyrene floor heating system mounted on a dry screed.

Knauf superpol - necessary material

For dry screed Knauf superpol need the following material.

  • Adding (in bags of 25 kg);
  • GVL sheets (Floor element, Knauf superlist);
  • Polyethylene film for vapor / moisture insulation of dry screed;
  • Edging tape for damper connection of the screed and the wall;
  • Glue for gluing locks of connections;
  • Screws 3.9×19, type TN for fixing board joints.

Dry screed tool

Prepare the following dry screed tool:

  • Electric jigsaw for cutting GVL boards;
  • Building rule 2-3 meters long, depending on the width of the room;
  • A set of screwdrivers or a screwdriver;
  • Metal spatula for sealing seams between sheets;
  • Devices for fixing the damper tape on the wall. If the wall is wooden, then you need a construction stapler, if the wall is concrete or plastered, then you need construction tape;
  • The laser level does not interfere.

Knauf superpol laying - stages of work

Moisture protection

The basic, uneven floor is partially repaired (if necessary). Cracks are closed, chips are removed. The level of the screed is marked.

Further, the base floor is covered with a plastic film to protect the Knauf screed from moisture. Polyethylene is placed on the wall by 20 cm. An edge tape made of porous material is fixed along the perimeter of the wall. The edging tape is attached over the polyethylene.

Backfill

A layer of dry screed is poured onto the floor. Fall asleep first thin layer, which is visually aligned with the horizon. Lighthouses are laid on this layer. For this screed, it is better to take square pipes for lighthouses. Lighthouses are laid on the first layer of bedding and aligned along building level or laser beam.

class="eliadunit">

Floor element decking

Elements of the Knauf superpol dry screed are laid from the wall farthest from the entrance, from right to left (sometimes vice versa). At the first row of sheets, the lock is cut off from the edge of the sheet facing the wall.

Sheet locks are smeared with adhesive mastic and fastened with 3.9 × 19 screws, or simply with fine-threaded self-tapping screws (TN type).

The evenness of laying sheets is controlled by the building level.

In the process of laying, they are removed, previously laid beacons and furrows from them are sprinkled with backfill.

Note: It is important to install dry screed sheets with an offset, as in brickwork. To do this, the remainder of the last sheet of the row is laid first in the next row. This installation is similar to laying laminate.

Preparing a dry screed for finishing

For carrying out on a coupler finishing works, the seams between the sheets must be puttied with putty Knauf Uniflot or Knauf Fugen GV. Before puttying, the seams are primed. After the putty has dried in the seams, they are cleaned with an emery cloth, the surface is removed from dust and the entire dry screed is primed completely. Now it is ready for finishing work: laying tiles, linoleum or carpeting. Also, on a dry screed, you can lay a warm floor from thermal mats or a film of a warm infrared floor.

Note: If you plan to lay tiles, porcelain stoneware on a dry screed, then you do not need to putty the seams. It is enough to prime the entire surface of the dry screed with a deep penetration primer.

It's no secret that the base of the floor must meet all modern building codes: strength, reliability, and the absence of height differences. Factors such as the speed of installation, the time before laying the top coat and how soon the new floor can be walked on are also important.

Construction of the Knauf superpole

When asked whether it is possible to combine all this in one design without using a great many various materials, company KNAUF answers yes. This is possible if light floor structures are used, consisting of floor elements (EP) Knauf-superfloor and Knauf dry backfill.

What is unique about Knauf-superpol?

The Knauf-superfloor structure is a prefabricated system consisting of gypsum-fiber sheets (floor elements) and Knauf dry expanded clay backfill.

It applies to both wood and concrete bases, allows you to level large differences in height - up to 10 centimeters.

The lower part of the system is a special dry backfill made of fine expanded clay, which is laid out on a vapor barrier film. Floor elements are laid on top, which have production dimensions of 1,200-600 * 20 mm.

In 8 hours, 1 person can mount up to 30 square meters of floor - perfectly flat, ready for any finish, be it laminate, tile, parquet, carpet or linoleum.

There are no wet processes in this technology, so no time is wasted waiting for the surface to dry.

Among the advantages of the Knauf-superpol system is also the low weight of the structure, which allows it to be used in the repair of dilapidated premises.

Knauf superpol - do-it-yourself installation and installation

1. Using a laser level or other means, determine the level of the base, lay on it polyethylene film.

2. Along the perimeter of the enclosing structures adjacent to the prefabricated floor base, install a special edge tape.

3. Level the dry fill using a set of rails or other devices.

4. Before laying the sheets adjoining the wall with special knife, hacksaw or electric jigsaw, remove the fold.

5. Evenly spread the Knauf special dry filling over the surface at the rate of 10 liters per m 2 with a layer thickness of 1 cm.

6. Start laying the floor elements from the wall with the doorway from right to left. The cut side of the element should be facing the wall, and the protruding comb should be to the side.

7. On the crest of the laid floor element, apply one or two strips of adhesive mastic. Lay the next element and fix it with special self-tapping screws for GVLV.

Do you have an old plank floor creaking, does the shield parquet board on the logs fall through?

Then we go to you!

The floors in such apartments are ideal for installing a dry Knauf screed!

The ceilings are already adapted to the floor leveling thickness of at least 7 cm and the Knauf dry screed is made without additional costs for changing the floor level. Dry floor screed Knauf will not increase the load on the floors, it is similar in weight to the shield parquet board on sandy slopes.

Why? The answer is simple!

Panel ceilings in such apartments are poorly docked and have many holes, pour concrete screed here it is much more difficult and expensive, and there is also a risk of flooding the neighbors.

Our Dry floor screed Knauf is strong, reliable and does not creak underfoot.

All negative reviews about the Knauf dry screed are associated with the use of low-quality materials and inept installation. Barely fledgling self-taught masters, not trained with an experienced master mentor, have flooded the Internet with their Knauf dry screed laying services and tarnish the reputation of this quality floor.

We have been leveling floors with Knauf dry screed technology for over 15 years.

A common consumer mistake when looking for a master is the minimum price for working with materials.

Our price for working with materials is the golden mean.

1. We do not have crazy cheats from individual masters, from Internet exchanges, Avito, etc.

2. Fast delivery of high-quality material on the day of the order, and the result is a durable, even, dry Knauf floor screed.

3. Any expanded clay filling to choose from: Compevit, Keraflor, Serpukhovskaya, Knauf Krasnogorsk, RDStroy.

4. We carry out the installation of dry screed most the best masters Moscow. At least 10 years of dry screed installation experience.

5. Warranty for installation 3 years. Payment in cash and by bank transfer.

A high-quality dry floor screed Knauf begins with the storage of material in a warehouse. We work only with conscientious suppliers and constantly control the quality of Tigi Knauf materials.

Screed Knauf

By the way, the Knauf screed will significantly add sound insulation from impact and airborne noise (from 30 decibels) per square meter.

Often in such houses, especially in block houses, the bearing capacity concrete slabs 400 - 450 kg/m², which is lower than the standard value of 600 kg/m².

The Knauf screed will help keep the soundproofing of the shield board, because even though it creaked, thanks to the sand, dust and air gap it suppressed noise no worse than the Knauf screed.

Concrete slabs under wooden floors very uneven, and the difference in level reaches 15 cm. The Knauf screed is able to even out differences up to 30 centimeters. We have a lot of experience in leveling the floor with a Knauf screed, which is higher than that allowed by Tigi Knauf technology.

A cement screed 10 cm thick will weigh 200 kg per square meter. The Knauf screed is three times lighter and, with a thickness of 10 cm, weighs only 60-70 kg per square meter.Knauf screed german technology floor leveling only wins here, its weight depends on the density of the expanded clay backfill.

The Knauf screed will hide all your wires and heating pipes, the main thing is that the backfill layer is 1.5 cm higher. light weight and quick access to communications.

Our company gives a 3-year guarantee on all work performed.

We have a Knauf screed price per square meter work without material from 300 rubles.

Superpole Knauf price per m² work with materials from 1100 rubles with delivery and unloading.

How to work with us?

Installation of dry screed Knauf

If you need the installation of a dry Knauf screed, you leave us a request by phone, form or by sending an estimate by clicking on Knauf. I contact you and determine the readiness of your floor for the installation of a dry Knauf screed. Before starting work, before installing the Knauf dry screed, it is necessary to complete the plastering work so that the edge tape fits snugly against the wall. You must lay all the electrics in a rigid corrugation or tubes so that the subsequent installation of a dry Knauf screed does not damage the wiring. Expanded clay backfill will be 1-1.5 cm above the corrugation at the highest place of laying. This must be taken into account before starting the installation of the Knauf dry screed and laying the wires along the lowlands of the floor. After discussing and clarifying the above conditions, we agree with you on the day of measurement.

If your floor is ready, the next day a master technologist for the installation of a dry screed Knauf comes to you, measures the room and the thickness of the middle layer of expanded clay backfill. During the measurement, I send you an estimate for the installation of a Knauf dry screed, it reflects the cost of work, materials for their delivery and unloading to the facility. We adjust the estimate with you and deliver the materials the next day, and urgent delivery is also possible.

The installation of the Knauf dry screed is performed by the master who measured it, which excludes problems with a “damaged phone”, like these: “I don’t know anything, they didn’t tell me anything, I do what I can, in those. this task does not exist,” etc.

Bulk floors Knauf technology

bulk floors Knauf technology do-it-yourself styling.

If you decide to make a bulk floor yourself, read our instructions:

If in concrete floor there are cracks and holes, it is better to fill them mounting foam and not covered with sand or construction waste. This will add to your bulk floors soundproofing.

Before installing the bulk floor, a polyethylene film or a vapor barrier membrane with a plant is spread on the wall. An edge tape is installed along the perimeter of the Knauf bulk floors, but if the walls are crooked, with growths from the old screed, it is better to foam the gap between the floor elements and the wall.

Expanded clay backfill, for a bulk floor, is scattered along a wall 1.5 meters wide, starting from doorway. The guides are laid on the backfill and leveled along laser level. The distance between the beacons is covered with dry backfill and tightened with a trapezoidal rule with cutouts on the sides equal in thickness to the guides. Next, the guiding rules are rearranged and the procedure is repeated until the end of the wall.

bulk floors

Islands of GVL are laid on the leveled surface of expanded clay backfill. They are needed for the installation of a bulk floor, the master will move along them laying the GVL along the wall.

Bulk floor installation

Now we lay the elements of the GVL floor, glue the grooves and tamp. After laying the second row, we tamp, tamp and level the floor elements, tighten the self-tapping screws along the GVL in increments of 10-20 cm to taste. When the leveled surface of the dry backfill ends, we expose the guides and the procedure is repeated.

That, in principle, is the whole technology of installing a bulk floor with your own hands.

Everything seems simple, but due to dust and back pain, from the weight of the plates, not everyone can qualitatively lay Knauf bulk floors with their own hands.

Superpol Knauf styling technology

Knauf-superfloor laying technology with floor elements and small-format GVLV.

The Knauf superfloor laying technology is suitable for leveling reinforced concrete and wooden floors. Superpol-Knauf is suitable for laying any floor coverings, even porcelain stoneware and can withstand up to 500 kg / m² of distributed and 200 kg of concentrated load. Knauf superpol is a logical alternative to sand concrete.

If the level of expanded clay backfill is higher than 8 cm, then your Knauf Superfloor needs to be reinforced with GVLV Supersheets 2500 * 1200 in size, 9.5mm or 12.5mm thick, cutting the sheets in half for ease of installation, you can also use the Small-format GVLV sheet, but then the cost of the material per square meter won't be much more expensive. Reinforcing sheet GVLV, for the installation of the Knauf Superfloor, can be laid on top and bottom of the floor elements. The practice of installing Knauf Superpol has shown that it is better to lay reinforcing sheets from below with a large layer of expanded clay backfill, in this case the load coming from the grooves of the floor elements is better distributed over dry backfill and Superpol almost does not shrink over time.

Before laying the top layer on top, the floor elements can be smeared with PVA. Supersheets or a small-format sheet are scrolled with self-tapping screws along GVL 30 mm in increments of 15-20 cm. In this case, the construction of GVL, the Knauf Superfloor, is more monolithic due to glued sheets and a large number of self-tapping screws. This method of mounting the Superfloor is good because the floor elements can be rammed harder when laying, and single sheets can break if they shrink heavily.

In each case, we recommend installation methods for the Knauf Superfloor based on the needs of the customer, the patency of the room and the subsequent floor covering.

The device of the finishing layer of GVLV is necessary when laying tiles, porcelain stoneware, linoleum and carpet to make dry floors more rigid.

Installation of a Knauf prefabricated floor with a small-format sheet

Installation of the first layer of GVLV is carried out by Small Format gypsum fiber sheet 1500 * 1200 * 10 mm or 1200 * 1200 * 10 mm, for better ramming on dry expanded clay backfill. After removing the dust and the remnants of the dry backfill, the gypsum fiber is coated with PVA, a comb or a roller. The subsequent layer of GVLV can be laid with a Small Format Sheet or Knauf Super Sheet 2500 * 1200 * 10 mm for a larger area of overlapping gypsum fiber joints.

When laying Knauf dry floors, to increase strength, especially with a large leveling layer of expanded clay backfill, it is better to use only Superlist 2500 * 1200 * 12.5 mm. For high-quality tamping of the leveling dry backfill, the first layer of gypsum fiber 2500 * 1200 * 12.5 mm should be cut into two parts.

Installation of dry floor screed Knauf with noise insulation

Let's consider two options for installing Knauf soundproof prefabricated floors using extruded polystyrene foam.

1st option. Before laying the bulk floor, preliminary leveling of the base is required: the installation of a cement floor screed or the pouring of self-leveling self-leveling floors. After the screed has completely dried, a vapor barrier and expanded polystyrene are laid on the base of the floor. Moisture-resistant gypsum fiber is laid in two layers using a Small Format Sheet or Knauf Superlist.

2nd option. Dry expanded clay backfill is used as a leveling layer. On the backfill aligned with the beacons, a Small-format GVLV sheet is laid and tamped. After installing the GVL, extruded polystyrene foam is laid or glued on the leveled base of the Knauf screed. The Knauf soundproofing screed device is completed by laying floor elements 1200 * 600 * 20 mm or in two layers of the GVLV Superlist.

How to work with us:

1. Leave a request by phone. or calculate the cost of installing prefabricated floors in the calculator and send.

2. We carry out dismantling with the removal of garbage into a container and measurement of the middle layer of expanded clay backfill the next day after the application.

3. Delivery of materials for the Knauf screed, 1-2 days after the measurement and signing of the contract. (advance payment for delivery 5-10 tons / rub.).

4. Installation of Knauf prefabricated floors from 20 to 60 m² per day (depending on the size of the room and the composition of the team).

Result: you get smooth, light, compacted bulk floors from moisture-resistant GVL.

Bulk floor installation cost GVL price per m² square work with material and delivery from 1000 rubles.

The cost of installing a Knauf prefabricated floor depends on the area and thickness of the middle layer of dry expanded clay backfill.

Knauf dry screed saves time and nerves

Knauf bulk floors solve many problems and tasks when installing a screed in an apartment. Prefabricated floors will hide all communications: electrics, heating, sewerage, etc.

Superfloor Knauf will solve the problems with soundproofing the floor in the apartment, at a low cost of material and work on the installation of prefabricated floors.

The budget of a cement screed with sound insulation will almost double compared to the price of installing dry GVL floors and the cost of Knauf screed materials.

If you decide to make a Knauf floor screed yourself, you can buy dry backfill and moisture-resistant gypsum fiber from us. The price of expanded clay backfill depends on the volume.

If you decide on a screed in a residential apartment, Knauf bulk floors will allow you to avoid not only wet processes, but also to transfer furniture once again. Dry screed from GVL reduces the time for leveling the floor in the apartment.

Dry floors Knauf is the fastest solution for leveling and repairing floors in an apartment, cottage and office. The installation of a wet screed or installation of plywood on logs will cost you 30-50% more than leveling the floor with GVL boards.

Dry expanded clay backfill Keraflor.

We have been installing Knauf prefabricated floors for more than 14 years and use the Belarusian expanded clay backfill Keraflor and Kompevit.

When installing prefabricated floors, the GVLV floor elements have to be rammed, and Keraflor's expanded clay backfill is best suited for the fraction.

We have a flexible pricing policy

Floor screed price per square meter, the cost of materials and work you can calculate in the Knauf dry screed calculator.
