• Walls are best insulated with extruded polystyrene foam, the same as the space behind the railing. It can be attached to special dowels, can be glued, or can be laid in a pre-prepared crate. It all depends on which work option you choose and how it is easier for you to carry out installation;
• The ceiling is also easiest to insulate with polystyrene foam, in last resort Styrofoam will do as well. If your neighbor from above insulated the floor on the balcony and set it, then the ceiling may not be thermally insulated;
• As for the primary finish, we already have an excellent foundation on the floor, but on the walls and ceiling it is best to use moisture-resistant drywall or gypsum fiber sheets. These materials allow you to quickly level the surface, which is important, they do not negative impact for human health, and this is also a definite plus for the future nursery.

• In one of the reviews, I talked about how difficult it is to get permission to remove a heating radiator to a loggia. You will have to spend a lot of time and money, go around many instances, and there is no guarantee that you will receive a positive answer. Therefore, we will analyze a simpler option with a warm floor, especially since for a nursery it can be considered ideal solution;
• We will use the film version, which simply needs to be laid out on the surface, glued and then connected to electricity. You must purchase required amount modules in such a way as to cover as much as possible large area, the elements must not overlap each other;

• Having laid out the mats, you can start connecting them, instructions for carrying out this type of work are always included with the elements, but I will talk about the main aspects. It is best to use the option without crossing wires, this is the most reliable and simple solution that ensures the smooth operation of the system. The diagram below shows how the wires are connected, everything is quite simple and clear;

• The connection is always made through a thermostat, which will maintain a constant temperature in the room. Its presence in the system allows you to make it as autonomous as possible and eliminates the overexpenditure of electricity, because heating will work only when necessary, and when the air temperature reaches the desired level, the regulator turns off the heating. For correct operation, this node must be located at a height of 150 cm from the floor;
• The system can be connected both through a socket and directly to the network, the second option is more preferable due to its high reliability and safety. Ideally, if there is a separate machine on the line allocated for heating, which will turn off the heating in any dangerous situation.

As for electricity, it must be taken out of the adjacent room, if wires of too small section are laid there, then you will have to pull the cable from switchboard but most of the time this can be avoided. The workflow is not complicated, but if you do not have the skills and knowledge, then it is better to entrust it to professionals. The workflow looks like this:

• First of all, you need to make a branch from the wiring, and it is best to install the box and pull the cable through it, this will make the design safer and maintainable in case of problems;
• Strobes are made under the wires in the wall, and you need to pass through the wall by drilling a hole in it. Alternatively, you can run a wire through window frame. If you don’t have a door and a window, then everything is much simpler, a strobe is also made in the opening and a wire is laid in it;

• On the balcony, it is advisable to lay all the wiring in a drywall frame, and a special corrugated pipe, which eliminates the ignition of the material during short circuits and protects the wires from moisture changes. It is necessary to bring the wires to the location of sockets, switches and lighting elements.

Stage 3 - finishing the nursery

A nursery on a loggia should be made out only using safe materials. If the child is small, then I advise you to use cheaper wallpaper, so that even if there are drawings on the walls, you are not very nervous about the next costs. Glue paper options, the price of which is scanty, even if after six months you need to re-glue the room, this will not cause any problems.

But let's take a closer look at each of the aspects:

• The ceiling is easiest to putty and paint in any suitable color. No need to invent multi-level systems or try to create something unusual. The child will not get better from this, and you will spend extra money. Smooth surface, painted light color, this is the ideal, in my opinion, solution that fits perfectly with any finish;

• As I noted above, it is easiest to stick inexpensive wallpaper with funny drawings on the walls.. Gotta choose suitable option according to age and interests, it is best to buy wallpaper with a child at all, he will feel that you are making a room for him, and therefore will appreciate your efforts. For older children, you can use more expensive wallpapers or even apply decorative coating, again, it all depends on age and interests;

• It is best to lay a laminate on the floor. Firstly, it is very easy to install and you do not need to have special skills to work, secondly, the variety of colors and textures will allow you to choose the best solution for any nursery, and thirdly, this material is ideal for underfloor heating systems. In addition, the child will be very comfortable to be on this cover.

Stage 4 - decorating the room

And now we have smoothly approached the most important part of the work, which determines how comfortable the child will feel in the room and how comfortable and convenient the interior will be. There are many aspects and each of them is very important:

• Of course, the factor of the presence or absence of a balcony block is decided at the stage of warming, but you need to be reminded of it. You must decide whether you need a door and a window, or whether it is easier to make an opening that will unite the room and the loggia. This option is ideal for children, combined with a balcony, it allows you to create separate zone for games and at the same time make it part of the overall environment;

• The design of a children's room with a balcony depends on the age of the child. While the smallest ones can use colorful options, small furniture and a storage area for toys, older children need a place to relax with a book or a table for preparing lessons and placing a computer. In general, the issue of furniture is one of the most important, it is better to make it to order according to the size of your space, this will allow you to use all the space on the balcony;

• If a workplace is being organized for a student, then it is worth choosing comfortable table and organize competent lighting. Nearby there should be shelves for storing books and textbooks, and the design should be such that nothing distracts from the lessons - flashy colors and a riot of colors are unacceptable;

• For active children who love sports, you can organize a sports corner on the balcony. The Swedish wall in this case will be the ideal solution, the main thing is to fix it securely so that no troubles occur during use;

• You can combine a playing place, a sports corner, and a place for preparing lessons. With your own hands you can make a great place for a child to play or even for him to live, the smallest ones do not need a lot of space, and the option when you separate the floor of the balcony under the arena, along which the child can move, can become best solution of all possible.
