Start in science. Perceptions of success in Russian society

The theme of success is quite relevant in modern Russian society. This is due to the democratic structure of the country, the presence of free competition, which create an opportunity for every person to express themselves. At the same time, a person who has reached a high social status in society, material security and become famous are called successful. Modern means mass media often make ratings of successful people. However, the term "success" is understood by each person subjectively, endowing it with one or another meaning. For someone to be successful means to realize oneself in professional activity, someone cannot imagine themselves successful without having a family. And yet most of us, when we talk about a successful person, mean similar qualities by this.

What is success? What are the beliefs of a successful person? What values does he have? To find answers to these and other questions, a study was conducted among 4th year students of the Faculty of Management and Entrepreneurship of the Belgorod State Scientific research university. The study involved 50 people, including 30 girls and 20 guys.

During the study, students were offered a questionnaire to determine success, consisting of 17 questions and the test "Are you successful?". In this case, the following results were obtained.

All men unanimously understand success as the achievement of goals. The majority of women (80%) also consider success as the achievement of goals, however, in addition to this, they also named their financial position, respect in society and interesting job. In addition, women are more specific about successful person, attributing to him the following features: financially secure, prosperous in all spheres of life, having promising work. Also, women, unlike men, can easily name where they see themselves in 5 years. All this indicates that women have a greater motivation for success. Having defined for themselves what it means to be successful, they try to achieve this. For men, being successful is tantamount to the concept of achieving goals, and in the end they will achieve more than women. This is evidenced by statistics - in the ranking of the magazine "Fortune" the most successful businessmen younger than 40 years out of 40 people, only 3 women; in the ranking of the richest people in the world in 2010, compiled by Forbes magazine, out of 50 people, only 4 are women.

Thus, we can conclude that women on the path to success behave incorrectly. They plan their future life defining the hard edges of success. And if something in their reality does not fit the illusory image of an ideal successful person, then this will be perceived as a complete collapse of their life path. Men, on the other hand, act according to circumstances, without thinking about what the future will be like. They simply set goals and try to achieve them, which ultimately leads to success.

The next task of the study was to identify what beliefs a successful person holds and what values are inherent in him. Men most often named such values as money (90%), responsibility (70%) and self-confidence (60%). Women named family (90%), diligence (87%), money (63%) and respect for others (60%). Thus, gender differences are evident. Most likely, this is due to the fact that, when describing the values inherent in a successful person, each respondent refers him to the representatives of his gender. Obviously, the only thing that both sexes agreed on was money. Therefore, they are the main value of a successful person.

As for the beliefs of a successful person, no gender differences were found here. All respondents' answers to this question had the same meaning - "I can do anything." This suggests that in order to become successful, the main thing is to believe in yourself and then everything will work out.

Interesting results were obtained in the study of self-assessment of success. It consisted in the fact that initially the subjects were asked to answer the question of the questionnaire: “Do you consider yourself successful?”, And then the subjects took a test to determine success. No gender differences were found, however, the following trend was identified. People who are confident in their success are not really successful on the test, and those who consider themselves completely unsuccessful, in fact, have an average success rate. And only those respondents who considered themselves successful in part or not in all areas, according to the test results, have the highest success rates. It follows that a successful person never rests on his laurels, always setting himself new goals, and therefore never considers himself completely successful.

In general, the following conclusions can be drawn:

Success lies in achieving the set goals;

Men are more successful than women;

Money is the main value of a successful person;

Successful people are always confident in their abilities;

People are not objective in assessing their success.

Based on the results obtained, the following image of a successful person is formed. This is a self-confident, purposeful person who sets himself various goals at the same time and acts to achieve them. At the same time, the main thing for him is material security and, consequently, material motivation.

Therefore, in order to become successful, it is necessary to develop such qualities as purposefulness, perseverance, self-confidence, and at the same time never stop there.

"Success" is a term with a huge number of meanings and interpretations. Most often, success means a successful career, wealth and high social status. However, success is by no means limited to these components.

First of all, success is how happy a person is in this moment. The usual image of a successful careerist cannot be a standard of success, because high paying job and wealth is not the only meaning of life and the joy of man. Wealthy people can be successful at work but miserable at work. personal life may have health problems or not meet their important needs.

success in broad sense The word implies a whole range of concepts:

  • Harmony in the main areas of life;
  • Self-realization and disclosure of creative potential;
  • Life with satisfaction of needs;
  • Occupation is not easy "profitable" business, but such an activity that brings true meaning and joy to life.

For each person, success will still mean something different, reflecting the most important areas of his life. It could be happy family life, interesting work, good health, creative work and much more. One thing is certain about any success - to become successful, you need to have the appropriate character traits and work hard.

Habits of successful people

The main difference between a successful person is the willingness to take responsibility for his life. If a person really does not wait for help "from outside", does not take the position of a victim, then he will have enough motivation and energy to improve his life. He will rely on himself, firmly knowing that his own happiness depends on him, and only on him.

The next significant aspect is the ability to choose and set goals. The choice of goals is a stage that helps to weed out other people's, imposed aspirations. Successful people listen to their inner voice, pay attention to needs, and separate their opinions from those of others. Also, successful people know a lot about proper goal setting and planning. There is a pattern in the world: if you don’t know what you want to achieve, then you won’t achieve it.

In addition, successful people are wise about their own mistakes: they allow themselves to be wrong, do not scold for failures, and look for lessons and new opportunities in every defeat. Self-criticism is unlikely to help avoid mistakes, but it can seriously weaken self-confidence. Therefore, successful people learn from every mistake they make and persevere on their chosen path. At the same time, they are flexible enough in plans to meet changing conditions.

What kind of people are successful

Traits are ingrained individual characteristics personality. When a habit of certain actions and attitudes is regularly repeated and reinforced, it becomes a character trait. Like habits, character traits can be changed. However, this will require a lot of time, effort and perseverance from a person. Compared to habits, personality traits are more difficult to change.

Successful people have distinguishing features personalities that make their lives happier. Personal qualities help to do the right thing and achieve goals. Successful people have the following traits:

The qualities of a successful person are presented in this video:

How to develop character

To achieve success in life, you need to form the appropriate character traits. Start building personality traits by making a list of traits you want to change. Next, analyze in detail why you need these personal qualities, what is their function in your life. After all, all, even negative, personality traits are formed for a specific purpose and for some benefit. Such an analysis will help you better understand yourself and get rid of harmful traits.

Next, compose positive statements about the desired qualities in two versions "I want to become (such and such)" and "I am". For example: “I want to become purposeful. I am a goal oriented person." Say these statements regularly so that the brain gets used to these thoughts and perceives them as a goal, and as an already existing reality.

Imagination often effectively helps to acquire new character traits. To do this, you need to find a character or real person having achieved the skills you need. Imagine that you are that person and act as that person.

To develop new skills, you can imagine that these skills have already been formed, and start acting on this representation. It is recommended every day, morning and evening, to simulate situations in your brain where you have already achieved your goal and are showing the desired qualities. It is better to do it lying down, with eyes closed. Thus, new neural connections are created in the brain. Then in a similar situation real life it will be easier for the brain to switch to new desired responses.

Body language speaks of the person's confidence in this video:

However, the most effective and at the same time the most difficult work on the formation of new personality traits is the conscious change of habits. After all, the qualities of character are formed precisely from the habits of a person. You should gradually and persistently replace unproductive habits with new ones that lead to the formation of the qualities of successful people. On this path there will be breakdowns and mistakes, but with due perseverance, each person is able to change his character.

Elena: Let's, dear readers of the blog "", first let's figure out what a myth is and what does the image of a successful person have to do with it. One smart person, not without a share of humor, said: "A myth is something that will never be, was not, but always is." The myth is that image of a successful person, to which this very person both strives and wants to fix this image in the minds of other people. What we believe in, sooner or later becomes reality. By creating a myth about ourselves, we thereby approach the chosen ideal.
Albert: How often parents, creating a myth about their own children in this way, predict their future, programming either for or for failure. “We are all doctors in the family, you will be a brilliant surgeon!” - inspires the father to the son. “You only have dances and trinkets in your mind, but the wind is in your head,” the mother scolds her daughter. Most likely it will.
In the book Diana Balyko “How to become a star in life? 30 NLP rules that will change your world an interesting thought sounds: “Our life is only 10% of what happens to us, and the remaining 90% is how we react to it all.” If everyone admires, tries to take possession of it, then each individual will ask: “Why am I worse? I also want to have it, I will also admire this man!” The mechanisms of the subconscious work flawlessly. So why do we need a myth about ourselves? The answer is simple: in order to get to the set one faster, it is really possible to achieve the image of a successful person.

Elena: Diana Balyka offers a plan by which you can construct a myth about your own person.

1. Decide on the target audience.
Myth needs consumers. Think about who your story is intended for. For companions? On the parents of the future husband? For readers of a published book? For a lover or a husband?

2. Take a look at your competitors.
How is a successful sale in a nearby store organized? How do competitors create a brand? How did a friend ask her husband for a mink coat? Copy their behavior patterns and act!

3. Find a highlight.
Why should customers choose your product? Why should you be promoted? Come up with and convince everyone of your uniqueness.

4. Color your life in rainbow colors.
Radiate positive, smile, talk about yourself only from the positive side. Do not be afraid to become the hero of a joke. Invent gossip, compose legends and parables, but in such a way that it does not undermine the established authority.

5. Don't fall for lies.
There is no need to invent non-existent facts from your personal life. It is better to give gloss and greater significance to what was real.

6. Create a support group.
Let others, supposedly “disinterested” persons, speak about your abilities and talents, necessity and indispensability.

7. Be prepared for self-fulfilling predictions.
Over time, the myth begins to work for the owner. And you will only have to correct the course of its following in time.

8. Be careful.
Having designed image of a successful person, match it. Positioning yourself as a rich person, do not stoop to cheap shoes, clothes or jewelry. If you have created a myth about yourself as a highly intellectually developed person, take care of your competent speech and reading level. A successfully created myth after a while begins to control its owner. And you will have to be quite conservative in terms of your own life and not change the "cut". Because the most important thing in any case is that the suit fits.

To understand the idea of success, it is necessary to clarify the linguistic interpretation of key concepts.

Success is a stable personality trait, it is the ability to generate success again and again by the power of one's choice, thanks to one's personal qualities. Success is a universal category and it applies to all major areas human life, for example, such as: career, finances, family, personal relationships, health, recreation, hobbies (hobbies). A truly successful person is successful in everything, he manages to devote worthy of attention all important areas of your life. Lebedeva, Yu.I. Dependence of self-confidence on motivation for success // II Regional Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Humanities in modern society: Pedagogy, Psychology and Sociology”, collection of materials [Electronic resource]. - Krasnoyarsk: Siberian Federal University, 2011. - Access mode: http: //conf. sfu-kras.ru/conf/552/report? memb_id=1255, free.

Success can be considered success if it has witnesses and is publicly recognized. As noted in sociological research devoted to the study of A.Yu. Sogomonov, success cannot be achieved secretly. The criterion of publicity introduces fame and popularity into the circle of related concepts. A.Yu. Sogomonov Genealogy of success and failure. Success is also good luck in the conceived business, the successful achievement of the goal. The attention of society and the recognition of someone's merits. In addition, both in the dictionary of synonyms and in all explanatory dictionaries, one of the definitions of the word success is another culturally important concept - luck, which brings the meaning of chance.

Close in meaning to success is the concept of "happiness". Ideas about happiness are a key feature of a person's worldview, which is part of his life system of values. Dreams of happiness have always been characteristic of man. In modern society, the craving for happiness-success is especially pronounced.

For the first time the word "success" is found in the biblical first book of Moses describing the events of the archaic time 2 - 3 thousand BC, and is associated with the personality of Joseph. "And his master the Egyptian saw that the Lord was with him Joseph, and that everything that he did, the Lord in his hands gives success." Here success is present as a quality given by God to the actions of a chosen person, and is consistent with the basic theological principle "All is from God."

The Christian turn of the worldview in the Middle Ages led to A New Look to the manifestation of success. Now a life full of well-being, happiness, glory is regarded as a manifestation of demonic pride. "Truly I say to you that it is difficult for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven; and again I say to you: it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God" (Mat. Middle Ages phrase from the New Testament.

The Protestant reform, initiated by M. Luther in Europe, opened up another understanding of the category of success, which was neither in antiquity nor in Catholicism. Now this phenomenon of obtaining the blessings of life by some people against the background of others has acquired a religious-bourgeois coloring, being understood as an individual chosenness in the face of the Almighty. The desire to be elected led people to active labor efforts in their profession, independence. V.A. Kayukov - CATEGORY OF SUCCESS: HISTORICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL EXCURSION. (Published in the journal "Psychology and Psychotechnics", No. 2-2011) [Electronic resource]. Access mode: http://www.nbpublish.com/view_post_12.html

Popular culture is much more active in promoting the concept of success. Books are currently appearing in print various types success in Everyday life: "1001 Ways to Success", "Alchemy of Success", "Astrosuccess", "Psychology of Success", "Passion for Success", "Language of Success".

The biggest "brake" in achieving success turns out to be a subjective factor. Own disorganization, illiteracy, personal fears of the unknown, complexes and uncertainty are signs of failure. To help in organizing and achieving one's own external, consistent with the internal order of success, can, in the opinion of the authors listed above, the main (basic) rules-settings with which one must often correlate all one's actions.

Leads to success:

1) great desire,

2) a clear goal,

3) a clear plan of action,

4) a positive attitude towards the environment,

5) belief in personal success,

6) the best possible education,

7) self-confidence.

This composition of the terms of success in one way or another, with some additions and changes, is quite persistent and popular.

All data of the installation can be embodied by the subject in real world with the help of their work, educate in themselves, earn time. The only thing that does not depend on personal efforts is a great desire, love for any business or activity. This desire is given to man by nature. A success-oriented person will not try to achieve recognition in an area for which he has no desires, because this will naturally cause internal dissonance and lead to discord in the inner "I". Thus, the first installation "great desire" is the link external success and internal subjective satisfaction from the applied actions and the choice of ways to achieve objective success.

It is interesting to consider the category of success in Russian folk tales. In fact, any fairy tale makes a colossal emphasis on the external data of heroes and heroines. So, in fairy tales, a girl with a bad appearance a priori cannot be a good housewife and live happily ever after. Those. appearance is exhibited as a guarantee of success or failure of the individual.

In many fairy tales the protagonist appears as an idler who lies on the stove from morning to night waiting for his heroic deed to be accomplished, who turns the character from an idler into a hero, a successful person, with his inherent qualities: courage, kindness, selflessness, love, compassion, wisdom, faith in goodness, etc. .P.

In old Russian fairy tales there is no mention of the education of heroes, i.e. their success is made up of personal qualities, the help of friends and a good combination of circumstances.

In the period of the 30-40s, one can distinguish 1) - the generally accepted image of a successful person and 2) - the image of a successful person in the modern sense.

The image of a worker, an ordinary person, a worker in production was generally accepted. Outwardly, he did not stand out from the crowd, but he met all the necessary qualities in production. So, on the covers of magazines, we, of course, do not meet today's colorful fashionistas, but we see a "simple Russian woman." Why this particular image can be correlated with success? because good worker, which stands out personal qualities and not distinguished by appearance, indeed, was considered a successful person.

Through the prism of modern understanding, successful could be called prominent people of that time, as, for example, Vavilova I.N. Such people had a margin of safety, were distinguished by leadership qualities and success in any specific types activities. Outwardly, they practically did not stand out, but the main difference from the generally accepted image of a successful person as an ordinary worker is a certain amount of publicity and higher prosperity. Moreover, this wealth was not advertised, but such people, in today's opinion, were more successful than the "successful" working class.

In the period of 40-50s, priorities practically do not change, but people who distinguished themselves in the war are considered successful people. Of course, the status of a "successful person" can be attributed to the marshal Soviet Union Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov. First, he is a marshal. A high rank to this day distinguishes successful people in any field. It is not for nothing that many people need formal confirmation in the form of various certificates, medals, titles, etc. in order to self-recognize success.

For Soviet people, undoubtedly, one of the most successful people is Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin. He was set as an example. Speaking about the image of a successful person in Soviet society, it is necessary to make allowances for outstanding personalities, because they, like no one else, shaped the image of success, asserted certain qualities necessary for a successful person. Everything that did not match was excluded and, accordingly, was not included in the image of a successful person of that time and could not be included at all.

An interesting fact is that the general image of a successful man of the Soviet era does not always resonate in modern society, but the figure of Stalin himself is still successful. It is no coincidence that he practically became the "name of Russia."

Gradually, in addition to the public and industrial sphere, the sports area was also added. The sport was actively promoted. And so a successful person will certainly go in for sports. For athletes, there are even some indulgences during appearance that do not spoil their conventionally successful image of the Soviet era.

In the 60-70s. continues following healthy lifestyle life, and sportiness is one of the indicators of success. The image of a successful person, along with the builders of communism and socialism, is complemented by images of "heroes": courageous people who accomplished certain feats "in the name and for the good of the USSR." Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin can undoubtedly be counted among such people.

From the position modern man he is a successful person also. Although modern astronauts no longer fit so unambiguously into the concept of human success. In any case, not so obviously, and in most cases they do not have even a small part of the prestige of the first cosmonaut.

The 80s and 90s still hold their own special qualities Soviet man that a person must possess in order to be successful. But outwardly, changes are noticeable. The attitude towards many dissidents is also changing, and, accordingly, some of them go beyond the "objectionable" and safely take the place of successful people. A striking example is Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn, who returned to Russia in 1994. Today we can call him a successful person. After all, despite difficult fate, he achieved some success in the literary field.

A feature of modern times and the period of transition to it in the 80-90s is the allocation of creativity as a quality inherent in a successful person. Thinking differently, a person has the opportunity to advance along career ladder, selection externally, etc.

The successful people of the 90s include oligarchs. In the 1990s, the oligarchs established themselves as successful entrepreneurs who, starting practically from scratch, soon became rich through corruption schemes and personal connections, including in government circles.

Appearance and surrounding things in the 2000-2009s. become a significant indicator of a person's success. Expensive car, branded clothing, etc. indicate the status of a person, and often it does not make much difference whether this success is real or just ostentatious. It is the image-representation of a successful person that dominates. Special place occupies wealth and publicity.

The image of a successful person is a dynamic concept that consists of many factors, therefore, when considering it, it is necessary to take into account different points vision, both in one time and in different times.

The image, first of all, includes a subjective picture of the world, the subject himself, other people, the spatial environment and the temporal sequence of events.

In other words, it is impossible to define a well-defined image of a successful person, it will always be a little vague, approximate. Because it is based on the opinions, judgments and ideas of many people. A successful person from the point of view of one time may seem completely unsuccessful from another point of view. Fedorchenko S. Images of a successful person in Soviet and modern society, essay, [Electronic resource]. - URL: http://fst. my1.ru/publ/ehsse/obrazy_uspeshnogo_cheloveka_sovetskogo_i_sovremennogo_obshhestva/1-1-0-34

Modern successful person.

A successful person is a person who successfully achieves his goals, feels it himself and has the recognition of others in this. All men unanimously understand success as the achievement of goals.

The theme of success is quite relevant in modern Russian society. This is due to the democratic structure of the country, the presence of free competition, which create an opportunity for every person to express themselves. At the same time, a person who has achieved a high social status in society, material security and has become famous is called successful.

A truly successful man is one who is in harmony with himself, feels happy, achieves his goals, but does not destroy his personality. He does not sacrifice any significant internal principles for the sake of success. If a person is in harmony with himself, with the world, with the true aspirations of his soul, and at the same time knows how to be effective and efficient, which is reflected in his financial situation, then this is success. It is in this sense that we can say: success = wealth. If we consider only money and the achievement of a certain social status as success, then not every "money" man in our environment is successful. Often he has problems in other "articles of life" - health, relationships with others, stress at work, alcoholism, and so on and so forth. This cannot be applied to indicators of success.

Modern media often ranks successful people. However, the term "success" is understood by each person subjectively, endowing it with one or another meaning. For someone to be successful means to realize themselves in professional activities, someone cannot imagine themselves successful without having a family. And yet most of us, when we talk about a successful person, mean similar qualities by this.

Abilities, skills and habits of a successful person:

1. Effective thinking, the ability to learn, the habit of developing.

2. Confident Behavior the ability to be a leader,

3. The habit of being energetic and the tendency to a healthy lifestyle,

4. Ability and habit to set goals,

5. Focus on results, the habit of planning,

6. Positive, constructive, willingness to cooperate,

7. Responsibility, discipline,

8. The ability to be bright, artistry, charisma.

The content of the image of a successful person differs in characteristics that are more characteristic of a successful man than a successful woman. Among them: fidelity, constancy, impeccable reputation, coldness, calmness, desire for power and, at the same time, for harmony and trust, a special place in his life is occupied by family and love, his role as a spouse and parent. The categorical structure of the image of a successful person is represented by factors: competitive, friendly, impetuous, happy, confident. In their ideas, success is a way to avoid problems, find a way out, free yourself, relax; and great importance acquires not the process, but the result. A successful person in the minds of men is distinguished by features: prosperous, reasonable, serious, creative and endearing. V.S. In the understanding of many of our fellow citizens, the word "success" can be defined by a quote from a wonderful plasticine cartoon: "I really love and respect this wealth." Several points could be noted in the long list, but most often (in 15% of cases) Russians pointed to the "golden chests": success is, first of all, making good money, being rich, wealthy.

According to 12% of Russians, to be successful means to achieve your goals. Another 11% of respondents said that a successful person is the one who does what he loves. RG, Russians were asked about the success Ekaterina Dobrynina 25. 01.2013 [Electronic resource]. Access mode: http://www.rg.ru/2013/01/25/uspeh-site.html

The concept of "successful" is inseparable from the concept of "business".

1. Relating to the public, official activity, to work.

2. Knowledgeable, intelligent, efficient. Ozhegov, S. I.; Shvedova, N. Yu.: Explanatory Dictionary of the Russian Language, 1995; Moscow: AZ

Business people are unusually brave and at the same time intellectually developed. Of course, a business person must be healthy, physically developed. business man must control himself, skillfully manage his subordinates, sensibly choose a team for himself, be able to evaluate both colleagues and competitors at their true worth.

It is also interesting to consider the concept of "image", which is part of the image of a successful person.

Image - an artificial image formed in public or individual consciousness mass media and psychological impact. Can be combined as real properties object, and non-existent, attributed.

The image of a person is an impression, an image that he creates in the eyes of other people. Image is business card of a person, created by him for others, is our public "I".

The term "image" comes from English word"image" - "image", "representation", and very accurately reflects its meaning. An image is not who a person really is, not the sum of his real personal qualities, but an image, a picture that is created in the perception of this person by the people around him. As a rule, the image of a person is strikingly different from the personality itself.

In recent years, the issue of image formation has become of great importance. And this is understandable, because the part of us that we demonstrate and flaunt has a significant impact on most of our environment. Therefore, the correct approach to the formation of one's own image is the key to the success of many events. Image: definition of the central concept of imageology

Report of AIM Academician A.Yu. Panasyuk at an open meeting of the Presidium of the Imageology Academy on March 26, 2004 [Electronic resource]. Access Mode: http://academim.org/art/pan1_2.html

It is clear that the problem of creating an image is especially important and relevant for people of a certain kind of activity, for example, for politicians, executives, directors of companies, businessmen, representatives of show business. Because the wider the circle of people with whom a person has to deal, the larger the level of tasks facing him, the more important the impression that one gets about him. BUT, nevertheless, the image is important for any person.

Introduction

The relevance of the chosen topic is dictated by the conditions modern life. Today, the concept of "successful person" is a social phenomenon of modern society. In this regard, the question arises: what kind of person can we call successful and what are the criteria for success? What are the main differences between people who are almost always winners and those who can be called losers?

When studying the inner world of a person, the use of predetermined schemes and unambiguously interpreted concepts is impossible. Rigid formalization does not work in this case, since it is not clear how to specify it.

Each generation creates its own ideal, its own model life success, puts forward its constituent components, its methods and its timeframe for achieving it. And the components that make up the image of success are expressed in the structure of claims.

So, goal This work is to identify the criteria for a successful person in the opinion of students. This study is conducted on the example of a group of students.

object research is the concept of "success" as a social and cultural phenomenon.

Thing research - the image of a "successful" person in the opinion of students.

Tasks:

1. Conduct a survey of students;

2. Identify the criteria for "success";

3. Consider success as a result and success as a process.

In this study, methods such as dialogue and questionnaires were used. Quantitative-qualitative units of measurement were used.

1. Images of a successful person in Soviet and modern society.

A successful person is an absolutely ambiguous concept, because how many people - so many opinions. But we will still try to summarize some of the traits of success attributed to a person in a given time period.

During the 1930s and 1940s:

1) the generally accepted image of a successful person;

2) the image of a successful person in the modern sense.

Because a good worker, distinguished by personal qualities and not distinguished by appearance, was indeed considered a successful person.

Through the prism of modern understanding, outstanding people of that time could be called successful, such as, for example, Vavilova I.N. Such people had a margin of safety, were distinguished by leadership qualities and success in any specific activities. Outwardly, they practically did not stand out, but the main difference from the generally accepted image of a successful person as an ordinary worker is a certain amount of publicity and higher prosperity. Moreover, this wealth was not advertised, but such people, in today's opinion, were more successful than the "successful" working class.

In the period of the 40s-50s, priorities practically do not change, but people who distinguished themselves in the war are considered successful people. Of course, the status of a "successful person" can be attributed to Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov. First, he is a marshal. A high rank to this day distinguishes successful people in any field. It is not for nothing that many people need formal confirmation in the form of various certificates, medals, titles, etc. in order to self-recognize success.

For the Soviet people, undoubtedly, one of the most successful people is Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin. It is no coincidence that he practically became the "name of Russia." This also speaks in favor of the fact that the images of success are changing in two directions: 1) the rejection of the imposed image, but 2) the acceptance of many leadership qualities and qualities that are not related to the external image.

Gradually, in addition to the public and industrial sphere, the sports area was also added. The sport was actively promoted. And so a successful person will certainly go in for sports. For athletes, there are even some indulgences in appearance that do not spoil their generally accepted successful image of the Soviet era.

In the 60s-70s. a healthy lifestyle continues, and sportiness is one of the indicators of success. The image of a successful person, along with the builders of communism and socialism, is complemented by images of "heroes": courageous people who accomplished certain feats "in the name and for the good of the USSR." Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin can undoubtedly be counted among such people. From the position of a modern person, he is also a successful person. Although modern astronauts no longer fit so unambiguously into the concept of human success. In any case, not so obviously, and in most cases they do not have even a small part of the prestige of the first cosmonaut.

The 80s-90s still retain their significance, the special qualities of a Soviet person that a person must possess in order to be among the successful. But outwardly, changes are noticeable. The attitude towards many dissidents is also changing, and, accordingly, some of them go beyond the "objectionable" and safely take the place of successful people. bright

an example is Alexander Isaevich Solzhenitsyn, who returned to Russia in 1994. Today we can call him a successful person. After all, despite the difficult fate, he achieved some success in the literary field. The general recognition of the work of a person, his creativity is one of the important indicators of a person's success. By the way, a feature of modern times and the period of transition to it in the 80-90s is the highlighting of creativity as a quality inherent in a successful person. Thinking differently, a person has the opportunity to move up the career ladder, stand out externally, etc.

Appearance and surrounding things in the 2000-2009s. become a significant indicator of a person's success. An expensive car, branded clothes, etc. indicate the status of a person, and it often does not make much difference whether this success is real or just ostentatious. It is the image-representation of a successful person that dominates. A special place is occupied by wealth and publicity. You can try to highlight several of the most common variations of the images of a modern successful person:

1. Outwardly successful person.

2. A successful person, thanks to personal qualities.

3. Public successful person.

4. Successful in its well-defined area.

5. Considering himself successful, being him.

6. Considering himself successful, not being one.

7. Not considering himself successful, but being from the point of view of others, etc.

Man is a willing being. He is extremely rarely completely satisfied, and if he does, it is very short. As soon as he satisfies one desire, another immediately arises in its place, then a third, a fourth, and so on ad infinitum. Motivation for the realization of desires is the main factor in the social evolution of the individual. Desire unceasing and inescapable is characteristic feature man, it accompanies him throughout his life. The external manifestation of a private motive almost always depends on general level satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the needs of the body, that is, on how satisfied other needs are, more fundamental. Obviously, if your stomach was constantly empty, if you were constantly thirsty, if you were threatened by earthquakes and floods every day, if you constantly felt the hatred of others, then you would never have the desire to write a nocturne. , prove a theorem, decorate your house, dress nicely. Therefore, for understanding, it is necessary to consider needs in a situation of stability and satiety, that is, when the basic needs for food, safety and health are satisfied.

The idea of success should be considered not as a final idea, but as an idea associated with the paradigm of evolution's search for other ways of development.

So, the image of a successful person is a dynamic concept that consists of many factors, therefore, when considering it, it is necessary to take into account different points of view, both in one time and at different times. The image, first of all, includes a subjective picture of the world, the subject himself, other people, the spatial environment and the temporal sequence of events.
