How to make a water pump from a water meter. Water pumping: we make the pump ourselves

When moving from a city to a village, you face the issue of watering the garden and water supply at home. The one who has been using submersible pumps, knows perfectly well how reliable the various "Brooks", "Springs", "Gnomes" are. Most vibration devices do not withstand even one season of active work, often breaking down within a month after purchase. And you want to drink every day, and you also need to water the garden, so it is advisable to have a spare pump in case of an accident. Of course, you can keep a repaired water pump in stock, which previously failed, and he had to look for a replacement. It is also quite realistic to make a water pumping unit with your own hands.

In order to assemble a homemade water pump you will need:

  1. small Electrical engine, power up to a maximum of 1.5 kW;
  2. electrical cable or extension cord;
  3. water pump or oil pump;
  4. transmission system in the form of a belt and pulleys or pins and coupling halves;
  5. rubber hoses or pipes.
  6. steel or wooden heavy base.

Pump Assembly

Gear pumps NSh32U-3 are used for pumping oil in the hydraulic systems of many machines:

  • tractors YuMZ, KhTZ, MTZ, DT;
  • combines NIVA, Sibiryak, Kedr, Yenisei;
  • trucks ZIL, GAZ, FAZ, KrAZ, MoAZ;
  • dump trucks KamAZ, BelAZ, MAZ;
  • excavators;
  • motor graders;
  • loaders;
  • Agreecultural machines. Agreecultural equipment;
  • forklifts.

NSh devices are produced with right and left rotation of the drive shaft, but for installation on a homemade pumping station this difference between them does not matter, the main thing is to correctly connect the suction hose to the hole marked "Inlet", and the outlet hose to the outlet.

Characteristics of the oil pump NSh32U-3:

  • Working volume - 32 cm cube.
  • The nominal pressure at the outlet is 16 MPa.
  • The maximum outlet pressure is 21 MPa.
  • Rated speed - 2400 rpm. in min.
  • The maximum rotational speed is 3600 rpm. in min.
  • The minimum rotational speed is 960 rpm. in min.
  • Nominal flow - 71.5 liters per minute.

It can be proposed to use, instead of the NSh device, the power plant of the power steering of the KrAZ truck with similar characteristics. This pump also has a gear device.

For a homemade water pump, an electric motor from an old one is useful. washing machine with a power of 200–300 watts. The old “assistant” can no longer compete with modern programmable devices, but its electric motor and pump can serve for a long time.

It is very convenient that most electric motors from washing machines can be connected directly to a 220 V network without modifications, because they have starting windings. Do not forget only about reliable grounding metal case the electric motor itself, it also works next to water. Be sure to connect any homemade product to the network only through fuses or a circuit breaker.

The oil pump works great with water! There is no need to fill the intake hose with water, as the pumping gears provide excellent suction from a depth of 4 meters, while the productivity is 2–2.5 cubic meters. at one o'clock. The filler neck on the inlet pipe is completely useless.

Improvements to a homemade pump

Often the power of a homemade pump is insufficient, and it cannot lift water from a well or a deep well. Then you can solve the problem by using one of the ways to increase the pressure on the suction:

  1. Lower the pump as close to the water as possible.
  2. Run a recirculation line from the outlet pipe, and increase the suction head with the flow from it.
  1. Use a compressor to increase the air pressure in a pre-sealed well.
  2. Connect another weak pump in tandem.

What if the electricity goes out? Then it would not hurt to adapt a gasoline engine from a lawn mower, chainsaw or moped to a homemade pump.

How to install an outlet A simple scheme for controlling radio and electrical appliances through Com-ports Scheme homemade sensor water leaks

Often summer residents are faced with the problem of extracting water on the site. This issue is especially relevant if all attempts to find an aquifer on land holdings fail. Or maybe it's just not necessary to use a large number of funds for well/well construction. In this case, a homemade pump is useful for pumping water from a nearby reservoir (river / pond) for irrigation. This option of equipment will not only save family budget, but also reduce labor costs in the extraction of water.

Important: homemade pump manual own production capable of pumping up to 25 thousand liters per day with the right approach to installation.

How to make a water pump for pumping water from any tank or reservoir, below in our material. Consider the three most simple, but no less effective ways production of pumps with manual control or powered by heat and solar energy. It is very difficult to assemble an electric unit on your own, so we will leave this type of assembly to professionals.

A do-it-yourself pump assembled using this technology is able to take water for watering the garden and vegetable garden from a nearby reservoir even with a wind of 2 m / s. It is the wind in this case that will be the driving force, which, at a minimum speed, creates pressure in the pumping system from 4 atmospheres.

So, to assemble a manual pump for pumping / taking water, you need to prepare:

  • Corrugated pipe with a section of 5-7 cm;
  • Sleeve for a pipe with valves - 2 pcs.;
  • Bracket for corrugated pipe mounting;
  • Wooden log-rack with a sharp lower end.

Important: brass can also be used as a water intake pipe. But in this case, the weight of the log-rack must exceed 60 kg.

The installation of the pump is carried out in this way. A bracket is attached to the log in its upper part. A corrugated pipe is fixed to it at one end. The second end of the pipe is lowered to the bottom of the log and securely fastened with a clamp. A log with an attached pipe is pressed with force into the bottom of the reservoir in such a way as to have access to the upper outlet of the self-made pump. Further, the wind will do its job: a do-it-yourself water pump will pump water out of the reservoir of water by contracting the corrugated pipe. Just have time to substitute the bucket.

Important: so that the log-rack does not rot in water, it is advisable to treat it with a solution of kerosene and drying oil. In this case, the impregnation of the hand pump must be done in four stages. And the cut ends of the log must be processed six times. The mixture that hardens in the wind is simply slightly heated to a liquid state.

Pump by oven type

This unit is not electric, but it pumps water just as well. The principle of its operation is to displace air from the pump reservoir. In this case, the space will be filled with water, which will be pulled by the air leaving the pump as a vacuum.

Important: a similar water pump fills a 200 liter barrel within an hour.

To make such a unit you will need:

  • Barrel with a capacity of 200 liters made of steel;
  • Outlet pipe with a tap-valve;
  • Primus for heating the barrel (you can also use a simple blowtorch;
  • Rubber hose with strainer at the end;
  • Drill hand or electric.

We assemble the water pump in this way:

  • On one side of the barrel in its lower part, we make a hole with a drill and mount a valve-faucet in it. It will facilitate the release of water from the tank if necessary.
  • In the upper part of the barrel with a lid, a hole is made for the hose and the latter is tightly mounted into it. The hose must be inserted tightly and without gaps.
  • It remains to install a primus stove under the barrel, pour 2-3 liters of water into the barrel and light the fire. At the same time, we lower the end of the hose into the reservoir and wait for a good heating of the tank. When the fire goes out, the barrel cools down and begins to pump water out of the reservoir under the influence of pressure differences.

Solar powered unit

The pump, which will be powered by solar energy, contains two valves in its design that allow water to flow through the water inlet hose under the influence of temperature changes. And the main generating substance in such a unit is propane-butane. Its feature of boiling at a low temperature helps to set in motion a homemade hand pump.

The principle of operation of the installation is as follows. A rubber pear is lowered into a metal can, which is connected to a metal tube made in the form of a lattice. In such a tube is propane-butane. In turn, there are two valves in the can, which work for the inlet and outlet of water and containers. Moreover, one of the valves opens, and the second closes at the same moment.

Important: the propane-butane grill must be located in a sunny area.

In order for such a water pump to come into action with your own hands, you just need to pour a metal tube cold water. From this, the liquid inside it will begin to cool and inflate the pear. As a result, water will be pumped from the reservoir to the reservoir. In this case, the tube will heat up under the sun and immediately cool down under the influence of passing water.

Thus, it becomes clear that it is quite possible to assemble a simple water pump with your own hands. Unfortunately, this does not apply to fecal or drainage pumps. They are more complex and require a more careful approach. A good fecal pump can be purchased at specialized points of sale at favorable price using the advice of professionals.

Almost every gardener or gardener has to deal with the problem of obtaining the water needed for irrigation. You can, of course, order a professional installation: specialists will install a pump that will perfectly cope with the tasks assigned to it. However, why spend money if you can make a manual water pump with your own hands? There are many varieties of homemade pumps that pump water perfectly and are made by hand literally from improvised materials. If you also want to learn how to make a pump, check out the instructions below.

Features of making a water pump with your own hands

The main parts that are responsible for the proper operation of the water pump are the valves, in particular the bottom check valve.

This valve determines the performance of the system and its constant availability. So that half of the water does not rush back and forth unnecessarily, and the pump left without work does not drain all the water back into the valves, it must be made of high-quality material.

The piston may have a sufficiently large gap between the walls of the housing and itself. Water will flow between the piston and the walls, but most of it will flow through the valves. If you want everything to fit snugly, make sure that the piston can move freely back and forth.

The pump housing can also be made from a piece of some pipe with a diameter of 80 mm or more. The optimal length of the segment is 60-80 m. If possible, the inside of the pipe should be machined on a lathe or unevenness should be removed with a scraper. But if that doesn't work, no big deal. A piston with caps can be made by hand from thick plastic, metal, or even wood. Wooden lids are noticeably cheaper, although they serve only 1-2 seasons. It is especially convenient to use oak and larch for the manufacture of covers, because. they swell from water and provide reliable sealing of the gap between the walls of the case.

Popular types of homemade pumps

There are several types of homemade pumps that can be made in a very short time. One of the simplest DIY designs you can make is a wave hand water pump. To make this type of hand water pump, you will need the following tools and materials:

  1. Corrugated pipe.
  2. Bushings with valves.
  3. Log.
  4. Bracket.
  5. Die.
  6. Sander.
  7. gas keys.
  8. Sealing tape.

Such water pumps were often made before for installation on their sites. If you used a brass pipe, then the weight of the log must be more than 60 kg. In the case of using a plastic corrugated pipe, you can get by with a lighter log. In the latter case, the weight of the log can only be determined in practice. The pipe on both sides must be closed with bushings with valves. One end is attached to the bracket and the other end is attached to the floating log. Due to the natural fluctuations of the water in the river corrugated pipe will be put into action. If the wind speed exceeds 2 m/s, then the pressure rises to 4 atm., and about 25,000 liters of water can be pumped in 24 hours.

A DIY wave pump for water will last much longer if you attach a ring limiter to the lift. This can be done with a bolt. This will allow the log to rotate only slightly in the horizontal plane, eliminating unwanted torque. Tips can be soldered into the ends of the pipe of such a water pump and bushings can be screwed onto them.

The log used in this design must be soaked 3-4 times with a mixture of natural drying oil and kerosene in a 1: 1 ratio. Cuts and ends should be impregnated 6 times. If the mixture begins to solidify, heat it in a water bath.

Such a pump will be a great find for gardeners whose site has a natural reservoir. Despite the unsightly appearance and ease of execution, such a home-made pump is capable of developing a capacity of up to 20 tons of water per day.

No less popular is the oven-pump for water. The name of the design is misleading for many, but this design does not provide heating of water. To assemble this DIY water pump, you will need:

  1. Steel barrel 200 l.
  2. Primus or blowtorch.
  3. Rubber hose.
  4. Branch pipe with a tap.
  5. Drill.
  6. Mesh nozzle on a hose.

The stove pump is perfect for watering the garden. A pipe with a tap cuts into the bottom of the barrel. A hole is drilled in the rubber stopper that closes the barrel from above and is inserted very tightly. rubber hose. The second end of the hose is closed with a mesh nozzle, after which it is lowered into the reservoir. A primus stove or a blowtorch is installed under the barrel.

1-2 liters of water is poured into the barrel, and a fire is made under its bottom. The steam will displace the air that enters the pond through the hose. After that, the fire is extinguished, the barrel cools down, as a result of which the pressure inside drops and liquid begins to flow from the reservoir.

Of course, now on the shelves of building supermarkets and in the assortment of a huge number of online stores you can find wide selection pumps for water of various models and purposes. There are deep borehole pumps, surface devices. It would seem that the prices are quite democratic, but, nevertheless, some things can and should be done by yourself. This is a kind of rest, exercise for the mind and for the hands. Moreover, making a water pump with your own hands is quite simple.

Why do you need a homemade pump?

The biggest disadvantage of all pumps offered for sale in stores is the fact that most of them need to be connected to power lines. But this phenomenon in many dachas, especially in the initial period of their construction, is quite rare.

In addition, electricity tariffs can “bite”, and every summer resident or owner knows about power outages country house. That is why every prudent homeowner would do well to have at their disposal a backup device that can pump water. With such a device at hand, you can always provide water to the plants in your garden, and just use it at any critical moment.

How does a simple water piston pump work?

The most common device for extracting water from wells or reservoirs is a piston-type pump. The principle of its operation is very simple.

In such a pump there is a cylinder inside which the piston moves. Inside the cylinder there is an inlet valve and an outlet pipe, which can also be equipped with a valve. The outlet valve can also be mounted directly on the piston. To facilitate operation, a spring can be installed between the piston and the inlet valve, which attracts the piston to the end of the cylinder with the inlet valve.

When the piston moves along the cylinder, an air vacuum is created, which opens the valve and draws water through the inlet pipe. When the piston moves back, the inlet valve closes and water exits through the outlet pipe or valve. The engine for pumps of this type is muscular strength and its performance depends on the volume of the cylinder and the applied efforts. Of course, you cannot provide a full-fledged water supply with the help of such a device, but at a critical moment it may well pump you water for watering the beds. Such pumping pumps are installed on shallow wells, the so-called tubular wells of the Abyssinian type.

It is quite possible to make such a simple piston pump-pump yourself, having at hand minimum set equipment and possessing the simplest technological skills.

How to make a piston pump yourself

Step 1

We form the body-cylinder. It can be made from trimming ordinary metal pipe with a cross section of 8-10 centimeters. The length of such a segment should be about 80-100 centimeters. In order for the piston to move along the inner surface of the pipe without delay, it is necessary to use a pipe with the appropriate characteristics or process a piece. Handle inner surface it is possible on specialized equipment or ordinary sandpaper, which is mounted on a wooden stick.

It should be noted that a perfectly round internal section is not at all necessary for a piston pump - the housing pumping device can be made from a pipe of any configuration, for example, square or hexagonal.

Step 2

Brackets for fastening the pump lever are welded to the pump housing. They are made from a metal corner. Between them, the pump lever must freely enter.

Step 3

Closer to the top of the future pump, a hole is made in the housing for the subsequent attachment of a drain spout, which can be located on any part of the pipe relative to the lever brackets: opposite or on the side.

Step 4

We make a cover that closes the lower end of the piston pump housing. If you have the skills welding work, then it is reasonable to close the end with a metal welded plate. But the cover in the pump housing can also be made from any improvised solid materials. For example, larch has excellent resistance to moisture. Over time, from contact with water, it only becomes stronger. However, it will be difficult to join the head of the well with a wooden pipe, so the most reasonable solution would be a steel thick cover, inside which a hole is cut for the head of the well pipe, or a branch pipe is welded to it.

Step 5

For more effective work pump can be made and the top cover. It will keep the collected water from splashing. There are no special requirements for strength here, so it can be made of plastic or wood with a hole for the pump rod. During operation, the stem will move somewhat in the same direction as the pump lever, so the hole should be in the form of a slot.

Step 6

Making a piston It is a plate, identical in shape to the section of the pump housing.

The piston consists of two parts:

  • actual piston 2-3 centimeters thick, which, when moving, will create a pressure difference;
  • covering him a piece of rubber about 5 mm thick.

3-4 holes are made in the piston body with a diameter of a centimeter, the piston is covered with rubber on top, which plays the role of a kind of valve. A hole is formed in the center of both parts of the piston for attaching the rod.

Step 7

We make a pump rod. It should be fastened with one end in the center of the piston (twisted on the reverse side with a nut), and on the other side to the piston lever. The rod is made of a metal rod with a cross section of about 0.5-1 centimeter.

Step 8

We make a piston lever. We make it from a metal pipe with a diameter of about 3 centimeters. It should be mounted in the middle part on a long bolt passing between two brackets. In the upper part, the pipe is flattened and holes are cut in it for the bolt that secures the stem. The part of the piston lever that you will hold on to with your hands is wrapped with electrical tape or cord for convenience.

Step 9

We make an inlet valve. It is a piece of thick rubber (or other durable, but heavy material) in shape coinciding with the section of the pump housing. The cross section of the valve must be larger than the internal section of the head of the water well, but less than the internal section of the pump housing. A guide is attached to the valve in the center, which will allow it to return to the well pipe after lifting. The guide rod must be longer than the distance from the lower end of the pump housing to drain hole.

Step 10

We install the pump housing with the lower end on the pipe. If you pre-cut the thread on the head of the well and on the inlet pipe of the pump, then the connection will pass without problems. To increase the strength of the structure, supports can be welded to the pump casing, which are fixed to a horizontal frame lying on the ground.

The inlet valve stem is lowered into the hole in the lower end of the pump leading to the well pipe. Then a piston with a rod fixed on it is inserted into the pump housing. The pump lever is bolted to the rod, which, in turn, is bolted to the brackets. Our pump is ready.

At the initial stage, the piston is at the bottom, the inlet valve is closed, the end of the lever is at hand in the upper position. When you press the lever, the piston goes up, creates a vacuum and raises the intake valve, drawing in water. At the same time, the water that is above the piston rises and pours out through the neck. After reaching the bottom point, you change the force vector and start to raise the lever. The bottom inlet valve closes and prevents water from leaving the well. The rubber on the piston rises and lets water into the space above the piston. The piston reaches its lowest point and the cycle repeats again.

A pump of this type can be used not only for pumping water from a shallow well, but also for lifting it from a nearby body of water. To do this, not the head of the well is attached to the lower pipe, but a hose, the other end of which is thrown into the nearest pond or lake. It is worth considering that such pumps are not able to create a pressure of water, raise it to a level exceeding the height of the sewn neck above the ground. It is reasonable to dig a barrel or bath next to such a pump, into which to collect water, and then spend it as needed.

We build a wave pump with our own hands

You can make a rather curious device with your own hands that will pump water from the nearest reservoir without the use of muscular effort, solely due to the energy of the waves.

Step 1

The main working part of such a device is an accordion - a hollow cylinder that changes its volume when it is stretched or contracted vertically. You can break your head over his search, but in fact, you can limit yourself to just one row of "accordion". A car camera of a suitable volume will help us out. We will also need a nipple - it will perfectly play the role of an exhaust valve. A narrow hose is connected to it, preferably equipped with a strainer at the end. In the lower part of the tire, which will lie on the water, another nickel is glued, but vice versa. It will serve as an exhaust valve in our device. From it, a hose is discharged into a container on the shore.

Step 2

In the lower part of the chamber there is a platform, the size of which is equal to the chamber. The platform can be made from any suitable wood material. Its buoyancy can be artificially increased by gluing pieces of foam plastic to it from below or simply empty closed plastic bottles. The bottom platform is attached to the bottom of the camera, for example, with tape or electrical tape.

Step 3

From above, the position of the camera is fixed by a wooden platform right size.

Step 4

On the sides of the chamber and platforms, poles are dug into the bottom of the reservoir. Two is enough. Upper platform it is rigidly attached to the posts, and the lower one slides along them, for example, along wire loops.

That's all. The wave lifts the bottom platform, compresses the chamber and forces the water in it into the hose through the outlet valve. The wave descends and creates a vacuum in the chamber, which sucks water from the reservoir through the inlet valve. The system works absolutely without human intervention.

This pump can be built using other materials, but general principle his actions remain the same.

We build our own fire-powered pump

And why not combine the useful with the pleasant and build a water pump that will run on the power of fire? So you can combine three endless things: watching the fire, the flow of water and the work of others, in this case - the pump. You can build such a pump using a conventional iron barrel with a capacity of 200 liters.

  1. We are building a stove to heat the barrel. It may be a primitive construction of bricks. It can be supplemented with a grate.
  2. We modify the barrel. An outlet valve should be located in its lower part.
  3. In the upper lid of the iron barrel, into the hole there and insert the rubber hose. The hose should sit tightly, without gaps. At the other end of the hose we place strainer and throw it into the nearest body of water.
  4. Pour a couple of liters of water into the barrel and make a fire under its bottom. We close the outlet cock. After heating, the expanded air will go into the reservoir. Then the fire is extinguished and the contracting air draws water from the pond into the barrel through the hose.

Building a Solar Powered Pump

Instead of the energy of fire, you can use the heat of the sun's rays.

Such a device will continuously pump water into Summer shower on a hot day. A solar-powered pump is being built using the following technology.

  1. We are looking for a lattice of tubes. You can paint existing designs with black paint. The grill must have one exit.
  2. The exit of the grate is carried out in side surface container, such as an aluminum can.
  3. The inlet and outlet valves are placed on the container lid. You can use nipples from car tires.
  4. A rubber balloon is connected to the grate pipe inside the can, for example, a piece of the same car camera.
  5. The outlet pipe in the lid of the can is connected by a hose or pipeline to a pipe immersed in a container of water or in a well. The second end of the pipe from the well through an additional outlet is displayed above the black grate and is supplied with a tip from a garden watering can.

The pump is ready. When the grate is heated, the air in it expands and inflates the balloon, displacing air from it. The rubber balloon is inflated and through the exhaust valve displaces air through a tube into a tube immersed in water. Air bubbles enter the pipe and rise up, dragging water with them. Part of the water is discharged through the watering can and cools the grate. The cycle repeats again.

You can improve the device by pumping gas from a household propane-butane cylinder into the grate.

Such a device can work even in winter, only now the air of the atmosphere cools the contents of the grate, and water from an underground well (its temperature is above zero) heats it up.

We build a water pump from the brake chamber of a car

If you have several brake chambers lying around in your garage, then you can also make a simple water pump out of them.

  1. We disassemble the brake chamber. We close all found holes with hermetic patches.
  2. On the bottom surface we install two valves: inlet and outlet.
  3. A hole for the piston rod is cut in the upper part of the part.
  4. The piston itself will serve as a piece of rubber - a membrane sandwiched between the upper and lower parts.
  5. We connect the membrane with the rod through the gaskets on the bolts.
  6. On the side of the device we attach a bracket for connecting the pump lever.
  7. We connect the lever to the bracket, and the end of the lever to the stem.

The pump is ready. By moving the lever, we create a vacuum or excessive pressure in the lower part of the device. Depending on the position of the diaphragm, the inlet or outlet valves open.

As you can see, with a little skill and imagination, you can independently build a water pump from almost any available means. If you want to learn a few more technologies, watch the tutorial video.

The device of the simplest piston pump-pumping

Pump for a well or well - necessary thing for any owner of a dacha or garden plot. Need in drinking water, which is quite acute, forcing the owners to resort to various measures. Some methods are used to supply the site with water, including digging wells. One of these measures is a hand-made water pump made by oneself.

To pump water from the well, you will need a pump, a hand pump can be made independently.

Manufacturing nuances

The main parts are valves, the bottom check valve plays a big role in this. These elements are necessary for the correct operation of the entire system. As for the bottom valve, it plays a decisive role in the performance of the device, is responsible for the readiness of the device for use. Valves given Special attention they must be made from quality materials. Otherwise, the pump will independently drain the water back or distill it in both directions.

The important part is the piston. There must be a gap between it and the walls of the case to ensure its unhindered movement. Despite the fact that some of the water will go into this gap, a large amount will move to its destination. If a tight fit of the piston is required, it is necessary to make sure that this element can move without much difficulty.

For the manufacture of the body, you can use a part of the pipe, pre-cut. The optimal length is a value from 60 to 80 m, although this figure may be less than or exceed the allowable limits. As for the diameter, a pipe of 8 cm or more will do. Before using the pipe, it must be machined from the inside with lathe. You can also remove irregularities using a scraper.

You can make a piston with covers using metal, plastic - thick is recommended - or wood. Concerning wooden version, then it will be cheaper, but the service life is not durable.

Types of structures

On the this moment there are several types of designs for wells, so choosing the right hand pump for water is easy, as well as making the selected type by creating homemade version. by the most a simple product is a wave pump for water. For its manufacture, you will need tools and materials such as:

  1. gas keys.
  2. Sealing tape.
  3. Grinding machine.
  4. Log.
  5. Corrugated pipe.
  6. Die.
  7. Bracket.
  8. Bushings equipped with valves.

It should be noted that when using a pipe made of brass, the weight of the log used must exceed 60 kg. Regarding the use plastic pipes, then in this case two light logs are sufficient. The pipe is closed with bushings at both ends, with one end attached to the log and the other to the bracket. When the water fluctuates, the pipe is activated, due to which the pressure rises and the water is pumped.

Such a hand pump is suitable for those who have a natural reservoir on the site. It is necessary to impregnate the log with kerosene and drying oil before use, the proportion is equal. The ends and cuts need more thorough impregnation, it must be done 6 times.

Another type of structure from which a water pump can be assembled is represented by the so-called furnace. To make such a product, you will need the following elements:

  1. Blowtorch.
  2. Drill.
  3. Rubber hose.
  4. Steel barrel with a volume of 200 liters.
  5. Branch pipe with a tap.
  6. Nozzle in the form of a grid.

Scheme and number of parts of a hand pump.

This device is well suited for watering the garden. A tap must be installed on the bottom of the barrel, after which a hole should be made in the rubber stopper that closes the container from above. A hose is inserted into the hole made. It is necessary to make this connection airtight and tight. The other end of the hose is equipped with a nozzle, this part lowers into the pond. Under the container you need to place a blowtorch.

After the manufacture of such a mechanism, water should be poured into the container, approximately 2 liters. Under the bottom, you need to make a fire, as a result of which the steam displaces the air. Air enters the reservoir, the fire is extinguished. The opposite effect is created as the container cools, as a result, the barrel is filled with water.

A similar device can be used for wells if you get a hose of sufficient length.

Pump manufacturing

There is an option to purchase such a product, but a water pump for wells can be made by hand. To make it, you need to have the following materials and tools:

  1. Copper tubes.
  2. Drill.
  3. Soldering iron.
  4. Wire.
  5. Brake chamber.
  6. Epoxy adhesive.
  7. Car camera.
  8. Metal balls.

To make similar device on the water, you should take the old brake chamber, disassemble it, and then plug the existing wells. In the upper part of the element, one hole is left, which is necessary for the stem. From the bottom of the chamber you need to make several holes, they will be needed for the valves. Then you need to take a piece of copper or brass pipe. Important clarification: the pipe must have thick walls. It is necessary to choose a metal ball so that it slightly exceeds the diameter of the pipe. The tube needs to be drilled out. This will require drills that are smaller than the ball. The tube is drilled halfway.

The metal ball must be placed in the hole, soldering a piece of wire on top. When applying pressure, the hole will open, and the wire will not allow the ball to fall out. After that, you need to make an exhaust valve. It is made according to the principle described earlier. It is worth noting that in this case it is necessary to place a spring between the ball and the wire. Then the valves are inserted into the holes, their fixation is carried out using epoxy glue.

From the car chamber you need to cut a circle, it will be equal to the diameter of the brake chamber. A hole is made in the middle, a washer is glued on both sides. Then you need to insert a pin equipped with a thread into the washers, all this is tightened with nuts. The circle must be glued to the bottom of the brake chamber. The lower and upper parts are connected by passing the stem from above. The mechanical unit is ready.
