Making a powerful blower

Cut off the ring from the big pipe.


We put it on a sheet of plexiglass and circle it.


With a Ballerina type drill, cut out two circles from plexiglass. Only not the same diameter, 2 cm more.

We mark both rounds and drill holes at a distance of about 0.5 cm from the edge.


In one of the rounds, we drill a hole for the engine.

Next, we take a piece of PVC pipe 15-20 cm long and cut it with a round nozzle on one side to make a snug fit to the body ring.


Attach to the ring and circle.


In the ring we make a hole for the pipe. First, drill with a round nozzle. And then with a file we give the shape of an oval, under the adjacent pipe.



Glue with superglue. This will be the air outlet.


We paint all parts.


The body is ready. We proceed to the manufacture of the impeller.
To do this, cut rounds of smaller diameters from the canister.


We saw off the tube from the body of the ballpoint pen and glue it into the center of one circle with second glue.



In the second circle we make a hole for air intake.


The blades are made from PVC pipe. We cut rings of the same thickness.


Cut into semicircles.


The impeller assembly kit is ready.


But before proceeding with the assembly, we will make a semicircular cut in each blade.

Now we collect the entire turbine together. Remove the protective layer from the plexiglass. We glue the air intake tube into one round.

Getting Started with Blower Making

To begin with, we prepare an empty box of disks. She needs to dismantle the cylindrical axle. We cut it with a heated blade of a paint knife, and break it by hand.





We take a 12 V DC motor, and connect a switch button with a connector for the power supply to it, as shown in the photo.
We fix the engine on the back of the disc platform with hot glue. We glue the case well around the entire circumference.




The next step is to open a liter plastic bottle (PET). We measure 6 cm from the bottom of the bottle, and cut off a small cap with a paint knife. We don't need the rest of the bottle.


Next, we make several holes from the bottom side in this cap. They are needed for the switch and the charging socket. On the hot glue, we fix the button-switch and the connector for the power supply from the inside of the cap.





We apply hot glue to the outer edge of the cap, and glue it to the back of the disc platform.



From an empty metal deodorant bottle, we will prepare the impeller blades. With a hacksaw for metal, we cut off the bottom and neck of the bottle, and cut the body along with ordinary scissors.





We level the resulting piece of tin manually, and proceed to the markup. With a marker and a ruler, we draw a sheet into eight rectangles with dimensions of 30x55 mm. We cut them out with scissors, biting off the corners on one side of each blade.





We use a plastic bottle cap as a hub. We divide it into eight identical parts with four diagonals. The extreme marking points are lowered onto the edges.




We make a small hole in the center of the hub cap for the motor shaft. We cut the ribs according to the marking with a hacksaw or knife.




We assemble the impeller by inserting the blades into the slots of the cover, and put them on hot glue. We glue the center of the impeller additionally, and then we give the blades a slight slope, bending them manually. This is necessary to provide a greater output air flow.






We make the outlet duct from a 25 mm piece of plastic pipe. The circumference of the disc box lid will serve as a template for the air duct.



We mark it with a marker, and cut it with a hacksaw for metal. Trim the connection with a paint knife.
