What is the design of the TV? Why is such a service needed?

A few years ago, it never occurred to anyone that a TV could be decorated with something, ennobled, made more refined. In every house, the TV stood in the living room and occupied the main place in the room, standing on a special bedside table or fitting into the so-called. "wall".

With the advent of plasma panels and LCDs, the TV now weighs less, it has a thinner outline, and it has also become possible not only to put it on a chest of drawers or a shelf, but also to hang it on the wall. During this period, in fact, the design of the TV appeared (namely, a baguette for LCD TVs, frames for a TV, a baguette for a plasma TV, etc.). The very idea of placing a plasma panel on the wall prompted the idea to frame the TV. After all, paintings always hung on the walls as decoration! And the LCD panel is no worse. If you put it in a noble wooden frame of bronze, gold or silver color (depending on the color scheme in the room), it will not yield even to the most exquisite details in your interior.

And what are the frames for TVs made from, what kind of material is such a baguette, the baguette workshop today will offer you new service- registration of the TV in a baguette frame. Baguette for TV, except for creation visual effect, will protect the TV panel from moisture, dust and external influences. Therefore, in addition to solving design and design problems, when framing LCD TVs, it is also necessary to take into account technical requirements put forward for operation of the equipment, namely: the required clearance between the LCD panel and the frame, ventilation access and the strength of the frame structure as a whole. A baguette for a plasma TV must be made exactly in size, taking into account all the features of LCD panels. This nuance is very important, because positive emotions from correct design can change to disappointment if the baguette for LCD TVs does not allow it to work properly, and the panel starts to overheat or even fails. It is important to understand that a picture frame and a TV frame, even if they seem identical, are, in fact, very different designs. When creating a frame for a photo, poster or canvas, the main thing is to choose suitable design, and the baguette for the TV, first of all, should still be safe, durable, suitable specifically for your plasma panel. The frame for the plasma TV should in no case close the communication sensors for the remote control, it should fit snugly enough, but at the same time leave minimum clearance to avoid future deformation.

Think about how and where the TV will be placed, you may want to hang it on the wall. Think about what kind of mount will be used. Is the weight of the structure suitable for the type of walls. Do you need access to back wall whether additional equipment (such as audio amplifiers, gaming consoles, DVD players, etc.). Etc. A baguette for LCD TVs, with seeming simplicity in creation, has a number of the above important details, which should be clearly thought out and taken into account by you before choosing the type of baguette, width and type. Don't forget about correct installation framing frame on the TV, which should be carried out only by a qualified specialist, for whom the framing is just two and ready. Our framing workshop installs the framing frames on the panel body using special system fixation. Its advantage is the ability to remove the decorative baguette frame without any consequences and at any time. You can always change the frame or remove it altogether if you no longer need it. In this article we will talk about how with your own hands, using the available materials, you can make a TV baguette. The topic of the article is of considerable interest, since traditional TVs with a CRT kinescope are everywhere replacing liquid crystal counterparts with a small body thickness and a large diagonal.

I must say that modern TVs without any decoration look good and will surely fit into the design of most modern premises. But, despite this, the baguette for TV is becoming more widespread everywhere.

The question is, if modern Appliances looks good on its own, why put it in a frame?

Reasons to Decorate LCD Panels with Picture Frames

Despite the fact that the new thin TVs themselves look very stylish and modern, using a baguette bar they can be designed in such a way that they will be perceived as an element of the surroundings. There are many examples when liquid crystal or plasma panels decorated with a picture frame looked like paintings or mirrors.

Among the reasons for the use of decorative frames, the following should be noted:

  • the need to fit consumer electronics into a classically designed interior;
  • the need to cover the gap between the panel and the wall, while not preventing the removal of warm air from the back of the device;
  • the need to cover the mounting bracket and the cables connected to the TV;
  • the need to create a stylistically uniform interior design, where all elements of the entourage are perceived as complementary to each other.

Important: Picture frames as a design element are used not only for decoration classic interior. For example, there are frames with laconic forms devoid of various frills. Such decorative elements successfully fit into the interior, decorated in a minimalist style.

What to consider when choosing a finished frame

First of all, it should be noted that installing a baguette on a TV is quite simple, and you will surely cope with this task with a small set of tools. Again, a properly installed bezel can be easily removed and won't harm your TV.

In the photo, a baguette frame - rear view

An incorrectly installed bezel can cause a rattling sound. At proper conduct installation work, a damping gasket is inserted between the frame and the body of the liquid crystal panel, eliminating the appearance of chatter even at high volume.

With the wrong selection and incorrect installation, the baguette can cause the panel to overheat. Therefore, when installing the frame, it is necessary to leave a gap of at least 10 cm between the TV and the wall. As a rule, such a gap is enough for the heated air to rise unhindered.

A wooden baguette has its own weight, which must be added to the weight of the panel when choosing a mounting bracket. On average, the weight of the frame does not exceed 3 kg.

Important: Given the increased weight of the panel, before starting installation work, you must make sure that the wall is strong. If the wall is concrete, you can mount it on regular dowels, which can be included with the bracket. If the wall is covered with a thick layer of old plaster, it is advisable to use elongated anchor bolts when mounting the bracket.

Framing can be regular or with a reverse profile. If conventional modifications are like a funnel, then reverse profile modifications, on the contrary, have a protruding middle, while the edges of the frame are close to the wall.

It is preferable to use a frame with a reverse profile if you are used to watching TV not from one point, but from different angles rooms. In addition, the reverse profile design allows you to hide the wires more efficiently.

Regardless of the type of finished baguette, the purchase price will be high. So why not try to decorate the TV with your own hands and thus save money?

We make a frame from skirting boards

Ceiling polyurethane plinth on sale is represented by various modifications, which differ in size, configuration, the presence or absence of patterns, etc. In addition, such products are distinguished by the price.

The difference in cost in this case is not accidental and is due to the density of polyurethane. Considering small size frames, we buy those baguettes that are more expensive and better.

To make a frame, you will need the following:

  • ceiling plinth, purchased in accordance with the measurements taken from the TV panel;
  • quick-drying baguette glue;
  • acrylic water-based paint and with a diluted color scheme;
  • sharp mounting knife;
  • a miter box for cutting the plinth at the right angle;
  • brushes for working with acrylic paint or foam sponge.

Instructions for making a frame with your own hands are as follows:

  • under the required dimensions, taking into account the required angle;
  • apply baguette glue to the ends of the corner cuts and fold the structure together;

  • after the frame has dried, small gaps at the joints are filled with adhesive mass and leveled;
  • apply two layers to the frame acrylic paint so that in the end the original white color does not show through;
  • we mount the TV on the wall and attach the finished frame to it;
  • on the reverse side, mark the perimeter of the panel;
  • to back side framing along the line of the marked perimeter, we glue polyurethane trimmings, a baguette that will serve as clamps;
  • after the glue dries, put on finished structure on TV.

Important: The advantage of the polyurethane construction is negligible weight, but it must be remembered that such a construction is fragile and must be handled with extreme care.

A similar design can be made from wood. For example, instead of polyurethane, you can use. Such skirting boards can still be found in some hardware stores.

To work with wood, instead of the usual baguette glue, we use "liquid nails". Unfortunately the weight wooden product will be significantly more than the weight of the polyurethane product, but this disadvantage is compensated by the greater strength of the frame.
