How to make icicles with your own hands from a bottle. How to make a Christmas decoration - a foil icicle? Household supplies from plastic bottles

How to make artificial icicles with your own hands!

I am sure that many needlewomen and mothers with children are now actively engaged in creating their own, handmade and warm Christmas decorations. At this wonderful moment, we all return to childhood, to the wonderful atmosphere of a fairy tale and the expectation of a miracle. In such an atmosphere of happiness and serenity, this spontaneous, unexpected, unexpected and very simple was born, which anyone can do.

So, for work we need:

Thermal gun and little things three rods to it;

Glue "Titan" or similar;

Colorless nail polish;

Clean plastic surface (a container lid will do)

Transparent glitter;

And fake snow.

Transparent glitter on the eve of the New Year is sold in almost any stationery and needlework store; a thermal gun and glue for this occasion can be taken at Fix Price, which are now literally divorced at every step; nail polish - the first colorless sticky substance that caught my eye - can be replaced with any glue. A separate case is artificial snow.

For a long time I hunted for him, because there is no time (or laziness ...) to do it myself! In fact, it can be made from ordinary isolon, grated on a fine grater. The effect is exactly the same! Okay, stop harnessing for a long time - it's time to go fast!

Let's get started. For reliability, you can open the image of an icicle in the internet, see the features of the structure. We warm up the gun and begin to form icicles at our discretion.

We make the most different forms: long and thin, double, triple, short - the more diverse, the better! When you have completed the icicle, make a loop on top for attaching to the Christmas tree.

Here they are, our future beauties:

After the glue has cooled, remove it from the surface by simply picking it up under the edge. The underside is flat. If desired, it can also be filled with hot-melt adhesive so that the volume is obtained on both sides.

Now comes the fun part - decorating! We cover the entire icicle, except for the upper part, where the mount is, with varnish and sprinkle thickly with glitter.

While the varnish dries, turning on the hamster, we collect the spilled glitter back into the jar - there is nothing good to disappear! When everything is dry, we take the Titan glue (it can be replaced with any, I believe, thick PVA, and other types of thick, voluminous glues), apply it on upper part icicles where we will glue the snow:

We put it on a plastic surface and sprinkle with snow thickly and thickly, pressing a little.

On the eve of the New Year, creative teachers always face the question of decorating the group, halls and other premises for the holiday. New Year a magical holiday, and therefore the decorations must correspond to fairy-tale magic. Every time I want to bring something new, unusual, to amaze the imagination. But at the same time, decorations should be simple, affordable and not expensive.

This year we have focused on using ceiling tiles . She may be different color and relief, does not require special skills, everyone can master the technology of cutting out tiles.

For the manufacture of icicles we need ceiling tiles, pencil, template paper, tape scissors or a sharp construction knife.

Cut out a template from paper icicles and snowflakes.

We translate the template into tiles.

Cut out pieces from ceiling tiles.

On a strip of adhesive tape we form a garland of icicles.

We attach the finished garland to the prepared place - a closet, window, window sill, porch, etc.

Snowflakes and icicles can be used independently as separate elements.

I thank all the guests who visited my post and left their votes. I will be glad if my idea is useful to someone. I wish you all a happy new year.

But we are in website sure - the New Year's mood will not keep you waiting if with my own hands make one of these wonderful decorations for your home and Christmas tree. Almost all, with the exception of two or three, do not require much time and some special materials- they can be made in half an hour from what is at hand.

A wreath of balloons and an old hanger

In just half an hour, you can make a colorful wreath by buying a couple of sets of inexpensive balloons. Blogger Jennifer, the author of this article, recommends unbending an old hanger, but if you don't have one, then a piece of strong wire will do just fine.

  • You will need: a pair of balloon sets (20-25 balloons different colors and sizes), wire hanger or wire, spruce branches, braid or finished decoration for decorating a wreath.

Snowflake tablecloth

A delicate and surprisingly festive tablecloth will turn out from snowflakes, on which we have stuffed our hands since childhood. You can sit down and cut snowflakes with the whole family, and then lay them out on the table and fasten them with small pieces of tape. A wonderful solution for receiving guests or just having dinner with the family during the holidays.

multicolored hats

The cutest colored hats can be made from leftover yarn, which can be used to make a garland for a Christmas tree or for decorating a wall. Or hang them on a window or chandelier on different levels. Children over five years old will also do just fine. simple decoration. See details.

  • You will need: sleeve toilet paper for rings (or plain cardboard or thick paper), scissors, multi-colored yarn and a good mood.

Lamp "Snowy City"

For this charming lamp, you need to measure a piece of paper around the circumference of the can with a small margin (to glue), depict and cut out the simplest urban or forest landscape. Wrap around the jar, and put a candle inside.

  • You will need: a jar, thick paper of any color, white can be, any candle. Alternatively, you can cover the top of the jar with "falling snow" with a special "snow" spray, which is sold in hobby stores.

Balloons with photos

A great idea for decorating the Christmas tree or as a gift to relatives and friends. The photo must be folded into a tube so that it passes into the hole of the ball, and then straighten wooden stick or tweezers. Small black and white rectangular shots will do, and you can also cut out the photo in the shape of a ball or silhouette (as in the case of a cat in the snow).

  • You will need: plastic or glass balls, photographs, various things for filling the ball - tinsel, garlands, coarse salt (for snow).

Christmas lights

And this miracle is a matter of five minutes. It is enough to collect balls, fir branches, cones and put them in transparent vase(or a pretty jar) and complement with glowing garlands.

embers

Luminous garlands hidden among cones, branches and coniferous paws create the effect of coals smoldering in a fireplace or a cozy campfire. They even seem to be getting hot. For this purpose, a basket lying on the balcony for a hundred years, a nice bucket or, for example, a wicker container for small items from Ikea, is suitable. Everything else (except for the garland, of course) can be found in the park.

floating candles

Very simple decoration New Year's table or for a cozy evening with friends during the New Year holidays - a composition with candles floating in a vessel with water, cranberries and coniferous twigs. You can use cones, circles of oranges, fresh flowers and leaves from flower shop- whatever your fantasy tells you. And as a candlestick - deep plates, vases, jars, glasses, the main thing is that they are transparent.

Snowman on the fridge or door

From this, the children will definitely be delighted - fast, fun and very simple, because even a three-year-old can handle cutting out large parts. It is enough to cut out circles, a nose and a scarf from self-adhesive paper, wrapping paper or colored cardboard and attach them to regular or double-sided tape.

Snowflakes on the window

An interesting use for a glue gun lying around idle. In order to stick these snowflakes to the glass, just press them lightly to the surface. See details in our video.

  • You will need: a stencil with a snowflake drawn with a black marker, tracing paper (parchment, baking paper), glue gun and a little patience.

Christmas trees-candy

Bright Christmas trees can be built together with the kids for children's holiday or decorate them festive table. Cut out triangles from colored paper or cardboard, attach with tape to a toothpick and stick the resulting Christmas trees into sweets.

  • You will need: Hershey's Kisses or any other truffle candies, toothpicks, tape, colored paper or cardstock with a pattern.

Garland with photos and drawings

New Year, Christmas - warm, family holidays. And it will come in handy with photographs, children's drawings, pictures. They are easiest to secure with clothespins that can be decorated with hearts or snowflakes.

painted spoons

Ordinary metal spoons or wooden spoons for cooking with acrylic paints turn into interesting Christmas decorations. This idea is sure to please the kids. If you bend the handle of metal spoons, they can be hung on a Christmas tree. And wooden spoons will look great in the kitchen or in a bouquet with spruce branches.

Inspired by winter art installations and the smash hit Frozen, this winter themed holiday decor is sure to please everyone, young and old. It takes 2-3 hours to implement, besides, the project will require almost no costs (which is extremely important in the conditions of the next crisis), any skills, and the result, as always, is very spectacular.

Gather materials :
- White paper (plain A4 is also suitable - it can always be glued into several sheets - and when wrinkled, the seams will never be visible, but the most best option- kraft paper roll)
- Ruler,
- Pencil,
- Glue stick,
- Scissors,
- Duct tape.

1. Fold an A4 sheet in half, connecting the long edges to each other, and draw a diagonal line on top of the folded one. Not from corner to corner, but by eye: but depending on the length of your right triangle in any case, it should turn out to be quite narrow. Perhaps the most difficult thing in this sense is to draw a blank for very long icicles, which from above in thickness should not differ too much from small icicles, and at the same time from below they should not be too narrow in a large segment.

2. Cut along the folded line and immediately erase any pencil marks left on the triangle with a good eraser.

Open your double piece and glue the smeared edge inward - just behind the fold of the second edge.

5. Run glue along the remaining folded edge and press the edge against the paper in front of it. Wipe off any escaping adhesive immediately.

8. Trim the open bottom of the pyramid so that the bottom line becomes even with respect to the top of the flat triangle, and the one from the rectangular one turns out to be isosceles.

9. Directly along the lines of all folds, make 4 cuts from the side of the open bottom to a depth of 1.2-1.9 cm (depending on the material of the ceiling and how difficult it will be to glue the icicles in the potential - the more difficult, the deeper the cut).

10. Bend 4 rectangles from the base of the icicle to the side, getting "ears" for which you need to glue your decorative elements to the ceiling.

11. And now just take it and boldly crush / crumple the icicle, only, trying not to crush the very top. And then open it again: the easiest way to return the icicle to its previous shape is to blow it with pressure from the base. It's amazing how creasing can help transform our holiday décor piece and make it look so much more natural.

We make the rest of the icicles by complete analogy, always trying to vary the size and not get two of the same length.

12. And now we fasten the whole composition to the ceiling: we turn each icicle with a vertical seam to the wall and glue it on top behind the ears with adhesive tape (not shiny, so that it does not stand out on the ceiling). If you stick your installation in a relatively dark corner, even the upper ears will not be visible, and it will seem as if the icicles are real.

First, fix large icicles (at the same time, in life, the longest one always hangs usually in the center or near the wall, if the top was sloping - towards the wall) and only then add small analogues where there is not enough. In this case, the largest icicle has a length of 4 glued A4 sheets - that is, about 1.25 meters.

Among New Year's decor, which can be easily made from ordinary office paper, it is necessary to mention voluminous icicles.

Paper icicles are made quickly and look very impressive, especially if you add a small yarn tassel and a few bright beads to them.

For crafts you will need:

  • 2 squares of office colored paper 9 * 9 cm;
  • lace or thread for knitting;
  • 3 beads for decoration;
  • scissors;
  • gypsy needle.

How to make an icicle out of paper:

  1. On a square sheet, with the help of folds, outline both middle and two diagonal lines.
  2. halves horizontal line connect, the figure turns into a triangle of several layers along the edges.
  3. In origami, such a basic figure is called a “water bomb”.
  4. Raise the first layer of the triangle on the right side.

  5. The line that was the lateral side is combined with the vertical line emanating from the top of the triangle. Smooth out the folds.
  6. We bend the left side of the resulting quadrangle to the right. Raise upper layer triangle on the left side.
  7. We repeat point 5.
  8. Turn the figure over to the other side and lift it up right side triangle.

  9. We repeat point 5.
  10. Repeat step 5 for the last (left) side of the triangle.
  11. Similarly, we make the second half of the icicle.
  12. Now we make a suspension. We insert a piece of cord or knitting thread folded in half into a gypsy needle.

  13. We pierce the upper part of the icicle in the middle, bringing the needle out from the inside. We remove the needle - there is a loop left. We tie a thick knot at the ends from the inside - such that it does not slip into the hole.
  14. For a brush, wrap 7 circles of thread around three folded fingers.
  15. We cut the resulting skein in two places and tie with another thread in the middle.
  16. We put all the threads of the brush together and under the knot we wind several turns of another thread, which we fix with a knot and hide the ends under the turns. Trim the brush with scissors.

  17. We thread both ends of the thread on which the brush is held into the needle, string 3 beads on them.
  18. Now we make a puncture of the second half of the paper icicle in the center with outer side bringing the needle in.
  19. Closer to the paper, tighten a thick knot and cut off the excess thread.
  20. We insert both halves of the icicle into each other. This requires accuracy and slowness. Each long sharp part of the icicle should lie under the short triangle-pocket of the other part. Load parts sequentially.

For strength, I put a couple of drops of glue under the pockets. Otherwise, the weight of the beads could separate the paper structure.

Have fun preparing for the holidays!
