But for this, firstly, you need to find and buy a suitable durable fabric and threads. Secondly, having sewn the cover, it will be possible to put it on only by unwinding the entire structure of the swing.


Second an option for handy men is to get rid of rags and make a full-fledged swing from boards. It turns out cool! But also not our choice.

So we went to third way. I sew badly, I didn’t want to bother. But you can replace the fabric of the swing ... with twine!

Cords in construction stores usually very thick and expensive. We figured that if the swing has a back and a seat 1 meter wide, it is wrapped twice ... you need 400 meters of twine!

As a result, we bought a polypropylene household knitted cord with a core (manufactured in Belarus), 3 mm, can withstand 50-55 kgf in Auchan - what you need :). A 20-meter skein cost 20 rubles.

Total took about 20 skeins:


The swing is ready for service again :)


A year has passed ... The swing is gradually rusting :(. I had to buy a thicker twine and replace the front sticks with it.
