Tree in the bank. You have probably seen such New Year's toys: a glass ball filled with liquid, and inside there is some kind of snow-covered panorama, a house or a tree, and there is an imitation of snowfall. Something similar can be done with your own hands.
Let's call the project "Christmas tree in the bank", well, it's just that I will have a Christmas tree in the bank, and maybe you have something else.

For the project we need:
1. A jar with a lid.
2. Distilled water.
3. Glycerin (sold in any pharmacy).
4. Ceramic or plastic figurines of animals, trees and figurines of people.
5. Artificial snow crumbly or sparkles.
6. Epoxy resin and hardener (you can buy a kit in the store).
7. Sandpaper.

First of all, you need to make sure that the jar is clean, you can, if there is, take a rounded jar now a lot different forms, I will have a conical jar. Next, you need to glue the figures, in my case, the Christmas tree to the bottom of the lid. We clean the bottom sandpaper for better adhesion and glue epoxy resin herringbone. The resin is resistant to water and will last a long time, although the smell from it is specific, but nothing, it will disappear.

We fill the jar itself with distilled water (do not fill the jar to the top). Be sure to add a little glycerin to the water, just a little bit (although I don’t know what kind of glycerin you will have, add a little, if necessary, then add more). Glycerin changes the viscosity and density of water, it will suspend our sparkles, our artificial snow, will not let them fall to the bottom and guarantees our toy the effect of snowfall. Now we add our sparkles, or artificial snow in a jar (very small do not need a good effect from large sparkles).

Then we screw the lid with our Christmas tree, turn the jar over and shake well. Everything, a Christmas tree in a jar - it's snowing.
You can give the toy an additional design, install it on a pedestal, for example, a plank in the form of a saw cut. Add to that a couple of figurines of animals or fairy tale characters. The lid can also be decorated, painted or pasted over with something, it is desirable that it be possible to open it, all of a sudden you decide to modify the toy, and that’s basically it.

DIY Christmas snow globe from a jar

It is very easy to make a New Year's snow globe with your own hands from improvised materials. It is one of the most popular Christmas souvenirs in the whole world. To decorate a souvenir, you can mold some kind of figurine, for example, like here, a snowman. You can sculpt from any modeling mass, except for salt dough, which dissolves in water

For work we need:

glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
boiled or distilled water,
glycerin solution;
waterproof glue (two-component transparent waterproof epoxy glue, florist clay, aquarium sealant, gun glue in the form of silicone sticks)
snow substitute (artificial snow, body glitter, crushed foam, broken eggshell, coconut flakes, white beads);
chocolate egg figurines
polymer clay toys,
various little things - you can use anything to decorate a souvenir, except salt dough, which dissolves in water.

The inside of the jar must be washed and dried. Glue the prepared figures on the inside of the lid.

If we need to use some metal parts, then they must first be coated with colorless nail polish - otherwise they risk corroding and ruining the craft.

Now we pour boiled water into the jar, mixed with glycerin in a ratio of 1: 1, but you can add more antifreeze - then the snow inside the dome will be very slow and "lazy".

We pour “snowflakes” from the selected material into this liquid, and if they fall too quickly, add more glycerin.

After testing the snow is completed, the last step remains for us: screw the lid tightly, glue the joint. When the craft is dry, you can turn it upside down and admire the result!

What New Year without snow? After all, this is a real fabulous magic from heaven! Let's try to become wizards and arrange a real snowstorm, snowstorm, snowfall in a simple jar. Our New Year's craft today is a jar of snow. Using my step-by-step master class with a photo, this fabulous winter toy for the New Year 2019, your children can easily and easily make, under your supervision, with their own hands.

We will need:

  • glass jar- the rounder, the better;
  • plasticine or New Year's toy (souvenir, figurine);
  • glue - any universal or "Moment";
  • sequins, polystyrene, chopped rain or tinsel;
  • glycerol;
  • water.

How to make a jar of snow with your own hands

To begin with, let's prepare a figurine that will delight us inside snow bank with glycerin. Such a figurine can serve as any New Year's souvenir that fits in size or Christmas tree toy. I have this little young Santa Claus - a symbol of the new coming year.

If you do not have such a finished figure at hand, then it can be easily molded from plasticine. For example, the simplest Christmas tree or a snowman, as in my photo, even the smallest children blind easily and simply. For children it is even more suitable option- if you do New Year's crafts then do everything with your own hands! 🙂

And so, remove the lid from the jar. It can be covered with silver nail polish. I painted mine red acrylic paint, under the fur coat of Santa Claus. Glue the figurine inside covers. It turned out like this.

Now, prepare the contents for the jar. Pour in glycerin (I bought it at a pharmacy). The more glycerin, the longer the falling snow in the jar will not end and the "snow storm" we have created will not stop. It turned out that glycerin took up 1/3 of the volume of the jar. All the rest - pure water(distilled or filtered). Do not fill the jar to the brim, consider the volume of the figure, which will be with snow inside. Now, in this water-glycerin solution we fall asleep our artificial snow. The effect of snow can be created with sparkles, chopped rain or tinsel. Luxurious large snowflakes will come out of the crushed foam. In my winter souvenir, I poured glitter. They can be bought at any art supply stores and are light and small. The chopped rain, with my concentration of glycerin, turned out to be heavy and fell not so beautifully. Be careful not to overdo it with artificial snow, so that it does not turn out that your figure inside the jar will not be visible due to a too thick snowstorm. 🙂

Well, the final of our handmade magic - we twist the lid on the jar. Just twist it very, very tightly and check several times.

Gently turn over and ... voila! Just before our eyes, a fabulous magical jar of snow appears!

Brilliant falling snow in a jar of glycerin circles for a long time around the figurine placed inside, and children's delight from a New Year's handmade souvenir-gift does not subside. WITH !

Whatever one may say, the best gift is the one made with your own hands. Snowball will be an excellent present to a friend on the eve of the winter holidays and a unique christmas decoration your room.

Create a small Christmas miracle with your own hands - give your friends a festive mood. And I will share with you the secrets of making a snow globe.

Ready to surprise everyone around with a rich imagination and talent of a wizard? Then go ahead!

For work you will need:

  • small glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
  • any plastic or ceramic figurines and a small artificial Christmas tree,
  • good glue(ideally epoxy)
  • artificial snow and sparkles,
  • distilled water,
  • glycerol,
  • Oil paint white enamel (optional)
  • polymer clay, foam (optional).

Instead of artificial snow, you can use: coconut flakes, small foam balls, grated paraffin, etc.

1. From foam or other material that is not afraid of water, we make a platform for the figure (snowdrift), glue it to the lid. We paint in White color. Leave until completely dry.

2. Lubricate the platform with a thin layer of glue and generously sprinkle with sparkles. Carefully shake off those that are not stuck.

3. On the "snowdrift" we glue a serpentine Christmas tree and a figurine of an animal or a favorite fairy-tale character. By the way, you can mold a unique polymer clay figurine.

4. It's time to fill our jar with distilled water and add glycerin (it should be a little less than half of the entire jar liquid). Glycerin You will find in any pharmacy. It is needed so that the sparkles slowly and beautifully sink to the bottom of the jar.

Pour enough liquid so that a full jar comes out with the figures. Do you remember the law of Archimedes?

5. Add sparkles and artificial snow. Buy sparkles of a large size (or in general - in the form of stars), then they will not float up, but will spin, smoothly descending "to the bottom" of the can, like real fluffy snow.

6. We cover the jar with a lid and twist it tightly, having previously lubricated the outer side of the neck with glue. It is necessary to do this, because over time, water can seep.

Look how beautiful you and I have turned out! Shake the can, turn it upside down and enjoy the magical snowfall.

See what else your snow globe can look like:

And how do you like the version of the New Year's ball with snow without water? For its manufacture, in addition to traditional figurines, a jar and a serpentine Christmas tree, you will need fishing line and cotton wool.

You can make crafts on the theme of the New Year and winter with the whole family. This activity is exciting and will bring the family together very much. Outside the window, frost and wind sway the trees, it’s cold and dark, and you all gathered at the same table to create a small family masterpiece: magic jar of snow. In warmth and comfort there is always something to talk about, both small and large. And you are also busy with useful work, the result of your efforts will be only your small miracle. You can even feel like a magician. A New Year's product will decorate the apartment and always remind you that you should get together more often. And, of course, all relatives will appreciate a family gift, because in things made by hand, there is a particle of the soul.

What you need to work:

A small jar with a screw cap.
A decorative plastic element such as a Christmas tree, a snowman, or any other product of a suitable theme.
Glycerol.
Sequins.
Tinsel.
Scissors.
Glue thermogun.

  • First of all, we clean the jar of stickers and fill it with water exactly half.
  • The remaining space of the jar is filled with glycerin. We pour, so to speak, with a slide.
  • We glue the product of your choice to the lid of the jar, for example, let's focus on the Christmas tree. The surfaces to be glued are best degreased and notched for better adhesion. In the work, you can use other waterproof glue.

  • In water with glycerin, add sparkles, small tinsel. Close the jar tightly. If there are air bubbles, add water or glycerin. The lid should fit tightly to the jar. For fidelity, it can be salted with glue.

Now it remains to be tested. Flip and shake your snow can and enjoy your DIY Winter Magic.
