Today they earn millions and live in dazzling luxury. Their requests and fantasies sometimes baffle architects and builders. Their estates evoke the envy and admiration of some, the anger and ridicule of others. But there is one iron argument against any opinion: they can afford it - especially since many had to go a long and hard way “from the very bottom”.

Dima Bilan

People's Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria and so far the only Russian winner of Eurovision spent his childhood in the town of Maisky, 50 km from Nalchik, on the outskirts with the "talking" name Prishib.

Local stop...

...and its surroundings

They built the house with their own hands, Dima (then still Vitya Belan) personally helped his parents. He recalls: “I loved listening to Vysotsky then. In the yard I sometimes took an accordion, sat somewhere on a bench and played.

Vita is 19 years old

Now Bilan has a “brutal” mansion in the village of Rasskazovka, which has been part of Moscow since 2012. “When I felt that it was necessary to grow up, I began to look for a house, not an apartment. In the city it is almost impossible to be alone with yourself, to live your own, separate life.

A special decoration of the site is a two-story barbecue area, a kind of super-luxury version of the gazebo.

Viktor Rybin and Natalya Senchukova

The future leader of "Dune" grew up in the communal apartments of Dolgoprudny. In one of them, his mother and aunt kept two goats right in the room. Then there was two-room Khrushchev, where Victor lived for 25 years, some of them with his current wife, singer Natalya Senchukova.

"Khrushchobs" Dolgoprudny, 1980s

Victor: “My childhood was poor. But there was always a desire to achieve something in life. When I was in school, I did not think about earning money. I just wanted to get an education and succeed.” Natalia: “For many years we lived in poverty, there was no money, no housing, no food. We only had concert halls, we didn’t need anything, just be together - on the bus, on the train, on the plane. There is nothing to eat, nowhere to live, nothing to sleep on ... "Today they have a "suffered" three-story mansion on Klyazma in a cottage village, fenced off from Dolgoprudny iron gate with the inscription "Rybinsky proezd".

This place - the former village of Kotovo - looked completely different in the 70s.

According to the singer, their entire former apartment could fit in one current kitchen, and reporters are especially enthusiastic about the “unprecedented toilet room” with a jacuzzi and two exits - one leading to a huge closet with concert costumes.

Family by the fireplace (Viktor's daughter Masha from a previous marriage and common son Vasya)

And they also have a “house afloat” - a real motor ship “M.V. Lomonosov”, which they jokingly call “the Moscow dacha”.

Victor: “It's like a house, only there are more “hemorrhoids”. Imagine: a four-entrance Khrushchev building with 80 apartments and 80 meters long floats. Someone acquires several country houses and chairs for 15 thousand euros, and we invest here.”

You have to invest seriously: “The maintenance of water transport is several times more expensive than hotels, and a little cheaper than an airplane. Fuel is consumed in tons! And also the cost of the crew, security, parking. It's not like going to Turkey. You have to spend money here."

Lada Dance

A native of Kaliningrad, Lada Volkova likes to remember that she was “born and raised in an old German mansion”, where she “found old paintings in the basement” and “dug up pre-war jewelry, bronze and silverware in the garden.” Since then, she has had a "frantic craving for antiques" and palace interiors.

Lada Dance in Sochi in 1995 (c) TASS

However, a completely banal Soviet reality is hidden behind children's romance. Lada does not give the address, but she has repeatedly noted that she lived next door to Lyudmila Putina (then still Shkrebneva), which means that we are talking about Lermontov street. In German Koenigsberg, it belonged to the suburb of Maraunenhof, built up with modest private villas by the standards of that time. At the time of the birth of the Soviet girl Lada, these houses were a little over 50 years old.

Maraunenhof in 1913

AT Soviet time the street where the future wife of the President of the Russian Federation and the future pop star lived was considered provincial, it was a working quarter. Private mansions were adapted for communal apartments for several families. The Shkrebnevs, for example, huddled side by side as neighbors on the ground floor of a three-story building.

Now Lada Dance finally has its own three-story villa in the super-elite area of Barvikha, which looks like a "fortress behind high fence". The singer herself calls it a "mini-palace". In one interview, she said that she arranged a mini-amber room based on sketches of real amber, of course, from her native Kaliningrad amber. And that the Italians, who restored the halls of the Kremlin, made the stucco molding for her.

Lada: “Since childhood, I grew up in a city by the sea, in nature, and in Moscow, naturally, this was not enough for me. Therefore, I decided to settle on Rublyovka. What's so amazing about that? Is the one who has the opportunity to live where it is good, will remain in a residential area? In addition, earlier there were almost never traffic jams on Rublyovka, I got to Moscow without any problems. It's hard to believe now."

Maksim Galkin

Although Maxim is not at all from the “simple” ones (his father was a major military leader with the rank of colonel general, he directly communicated with the top leadership of the USSR and Russia), he was far from the current “general’s sons” and other representatives of the “golden youth”. The nomadic military family lived for some time in the closed military town of Sosnovy Bor near the capital of Buryatia, Ulan-Ude, where the future artist spent his childhood.

11-year-old Maxim in the school play

Now it is just an ordinary village, but the typical five-story buildings where military families lived, and today they remind of its garrison past.

As you know, Galkin and his wife Alla Pugacheva now live in a real castle, which glorified the small village of Gryaz near Moscow to the whole world. Six floors, more than 20 residential premises, elevators, a tower with an observation deck, greenhouses, a separate SPA center with a swimming pool, which can only be accessed through an underground passage, and many more "jokes", including a system smart home, thanks to which you can get by on vast estates with a minimum of servants.

Maxim: “Building such a house for me is a creative act. I'm just bored building an ordinary house. Doing something just because it's expensive or trendy. And I don't care who thinks what. Many people think that I am outrageous because I stand out from the crowd. But I'm not doing this because I want to prove "I'm not like everyone else."

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie

Former colleagues on the "Game of Thrones", Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have recently not only met, but also live together. The actors, who have been together for about five years, purchased a house in the east of England for $2.2 million. They plan to use it as a place for country rest rather than move there permanently. Due to busy work schedules, the stars are forced to constantly be in London, so they needed a holiday home. Looks like a "vacation house" like this:

Beyoncé and Jay Z

The combined fortune of the star couple is estimated at more than a billion dollars, so Beyoncé and Jay Z, of course, can afford all the best - including renting a luxury villa for 400 thousand dollars a month in Malibu (California). La Villa Contenta (which is actually listed for sale for $54.5 million) is located in a fenced and heavily guarded area with a separate guest cottage and has 10 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a library, a billiard room, a wine cellar, a full gym room and home theater.

The spouses did not stint on the cost of housing - the house is located in a private guarded sector, so they do not have to worry about the safety of their children: two-year-old Wyatt and seven-month-old Dimitri.

Robert Downey Jr

The Marvel Cinematic Universe star has gotten used to Tony Stark so well that he is already buying a house like his. Recently, Robert Downey Jr. got a villa, the cost of which is estimated at $ 3.5 million, and outwardly it is very similar to the house of Iron Man from the movie of the same name, and it is located in the same place as in " iron man"There was a villa with Tony Stark - in Malibu.

Natalie Portman

The actress recently became a neighbor of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis in Santa Barbara - Natalie and her husband bought a house for $ 7 million. Natalie's new home, which the star chose because of its practicality, according to a source, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, two living rooms, one of which is on fresh air as well as a swimming pool and a large terrace overlooking the ocean. Portman's new home is located in a green area, which was an important criterion for the actress, who has two small children, as well as the ocean, next to which no one will refuse to live.

Selena Gomez

In May 2017, Selena Gomez got a new house at a very modest price - at least by the standards of show business stars. New housing cost the singer $ 2.25 million. Although new house Selena and costs quite a bit by Hollywood standards, he looks very nice. Inside there are 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a foyer, a living room, a library and even a spa area, in general, everything a young star might need. It is noteworthy that Gomez's boyfriend, The Weeknd, also bought a house, and quite nearby - now the lovers will live half an hour away from each other.

Harry Styles

Despite his young age, 23-year-old Styles has managed to achieve a lot - to become a famous musician, start a solo career, act in films with Christopher Nolan and acquire his own real estate. In September 2016, Harry Styles purchased a $7 million "bachelor pad" in West Hollywood. Here's what Harry Styles' new "bachelor apartment" looks like from the inside:

Leonardo DiCaprio

A long time ago, Leonardo DiCaprio, having received a fee for the Titanic, spent it on an apartment in Malibu, located right on the famous "Billionaires Beach", overlooking Pacific Ocean. Leo spent years in this house summer months, then - rented out and only recently decided to put the property up for sale - for $ 11 million against $ 1.6 million that I once spent on buying it. Here's what another Leonardo DiCaprio mansion looks like from the inside:

Cara Delevingne and Jared Leto

No, of course, Kara and Jared do not live together - just the other day, the Delevingne sisters bought housing from the actor, which he put up for sale back in November last year. Real estate in Hollywood cost Kara and Poppy Delevingne relatively cheap - $ 2 million, while Summer himself bought this house back in 2006 for $ 1.6 million. The mansion has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large balcony overlooking the pool and even his own recording studio, which Jared actively used as the leader of the 30 Seconds to Mars group.

Emilia Clarke

British actress Emilia Clarke, thanks to her role in the popular TV series Game of Thrones, quickly began to conquer Hollywood - and it seems that in the near future she will finally say goodbye to her native Great Britain and move to Los Angeles. At least the actress has already acquired housing in California, having laid out $ 4.64 million for a modest mansion in Los Angeles in the fall of 2016.

Palace of the Vasiliev Brothers

The Vasiliev brothers were born in the village of Vyritsa Leningrad region. At first they were engaged in video salons, then they drove cars from Europe for sale in Russia, they kept car markets. Sergey Vasiliev controlled and controls the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal, the largest bunkering company in the Sea Port of St. Petersburg, with a 15% share of the volume of oil products transshipped in the Baltic.

The Vasilievs generously helped their native Vyritsa, where the brothers still live, despite the presence of real estate in St. Mother of God which is popular with tourists. It was in this village on the banks of the Oredezh River that the brothers decided to build their estate. What is interesting about this estate is that it is a reduced copy of the Catherine Palace, the famous royal residence in Pushkin. The patterns on the cast-iron grating, the golden domes of the chapel, the sky-blue color and white statues - a lot here reminds of Catherine's.
There is only contradictory information about the interior: ceilings 14 meters high, marble stairs, doors made of tortoise shells, mosaic marble floors with a total area of more than 600 square meters. m, black marble Atlantean knights. According to the author of the project, architect Igor Gremitsky, only natural materials, including 19 varieties of marble from Italy.

Dacha Yakunin

This Saturday, a post appeared on the entertainment portal, the author of which claimed that he participated in the construction of a residence for the head of the Russian railways Vladimir Yakunin - was engaged there in the so-called smart home.

According to his statements, on several dozen hectares of forest near Domodedovo, own lakes were dug, a garage for 15 cars was built, a separate box for an executive class limousine, one and a half kilometers of underground passages to the garage were built, there was its own cinema, a bath complex (1400 sq. m.) sauna, Russian, Turkish baths, salt room, swimming pool, separate massage room and more.
Then a certain builder Aleksey, who allegedly worked there, spoke on the air of the RSN. “300 Vietnamese people worked there, they killed all the fish with electric fishing rods. Finishing external - Italian marble. Bath - three buildings, 14 by 14 meters, Italian furniture, marble bar counter, fireplace, stained glass windows. It is glass, there are no walls as such, locker rooms, showers, everything is very expensive. Swimming pool 50 meters in the house. There is a storage room for fur coats and a refrigerator. Little house- this is the son, the guest, and the main one is his. There is a prayer house and a chapel. It seems that Metrostroy dug ponds there for 150 million. It is decorated with gold tiles, and the room is very large - a hammam, a bathhouse, a steam room, a panorama to look at the forest, ”said Alexei about what he saw near Domodedovo.

Shuvalov's residence

Igor Shuvalov, who has been Deputy Prime Minister since 2008, according to his declaration for 2012, is the wealthiest member of the government. His income amounted to about 226 million rubles (about $7 million). The income of the spouse is slightly less.

In his declaration, the official indicated that, together with his wife and three minor children, he rented a house with an area of 4174 sq. meters. The residence of the Deputy Prime Minister is located next to the Skolkovo innovation city (Moscow) on the territory former dacha member of the Politburo of the Brezhnev era, Mikhail Suslov (state dacha Zarechye-4), is under zealous guard and surrounded by a high fence. Natalya Pelevina, in her blog on the website of the radio station Ekho Moskvy, talks about the "palace" with an area of 1500 square meters. meters, built in the shape of the letter P. On a plot of 7.5 hectares, according to Pelevina, there are also indoor tennis courts, a swimming pool, luxurious gardens"with bushes trimmed in the Versailles style", a greenhouse for exotic plants, separate houses for servants and guards, and so on.

Residence Kadyrov

Another very impressive mansion stands on the banks of the Sunzha River in Grozny. The official residence of the head of the Chechen Republic with an area of 260 thousand square meters. meters cost the budget, according to Novaya Gazeta, about 10 billion rubles ($310.8 million).

Novaya Gazeta notes that 48 million rubles (360,000 sq. m of lawn, 77 thousand sq. m of flower beds, 16 thousand roses, 14 thousand square meters. m curly cut shrubs, hedges and more. Approximately 36 million rubles have been allocated for public utilities of the residence.
Nikolai Uskov, the head of the Snob project, after a meeting of the club of editors of the central media in Grozny, eloquently described what he saw: lined with minarets. […] Among the picturesque hills stretching to the left and Chechen ancestral towers, a small farm is hiding. With her, a bear cub lives in a cage, chickens and turkeys walk on the grass, roosters crow, a stream flows down into an artificial pond.

Palace of Medvedev

In February 2011, an article was published in Novaya Gazeta suggesting that a private dacha for ex-president and current prime minister Dmitry Medvedev was being built on the territory of the Bolshoy Utrish nature reserve (Krasnodar Territory). The mansion in Bolshoi Utrish was to be equipped with a marina and a helipad. Two wide roads leading to it were specially planned (according to the publication, these are the security requirements of the Federal Security Service). With its architecture, the Medvedev's dacha project is similar to the so-called Putin's palace in Gelendzhik.

The land on which the palace is located has been leased since July 2008 by the Department of Forestry Krasnodar Territory to the fund of regional non-commercial projects A gift for the construction of a sports and recreation complex there. For a territory of 120 hectares, the fund will transfer 15 million rubles every year for 49 years.
According to Novaya Gazeta, Management Company The Dar Foundation was located at the same address as the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives (FSCI) of the President's wife Svetlana Medvedeva, the companies had the same phone number, and the CEO of both organizations was in different time the same person (Olga Travina). The Office of the President's Affairs stated that it had nothing to do with the construction.

Dacha Tkachev

In Golubaya Bukhta, near the village of Bzhid, Dzhubga urban settlement, Tuapse district, Krasnodar Territory, there is an object that some consider to be the residence of the governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Tkachev.

According to Rosreestr, some of these lands really belong to the governor. However, according to environmentalists, the fenced area (about 7 hectares) significantly exceeds the area of land owned by Tkachev (1 hectare).
It was from the fence around the object that the scandal began to flare up. In February-March 2011, activists of the Environmental Watch for North Caucasus carried out actions against the seizure of lands of the forest fund and the coastal strip, were detained by law enforcement officers and sentenced to various terms administrative arrest (from 7 to 15 days). In response to a request from environmentalists sent to the Department of Forestry of the Krasnodar Territory, the answer came: there is no fence around this area.

Dacha of the Patriarch

In February 2011, on the Black Sea coast north of the village of Divnomorskoye (Krasnodar Territory), the same activists discovered what they said was illegal construction. At least 10 hectares of forest, where Pitsunda pine grows, protected by law, is fenced with a three-meter fence. On the territory, according to ecologists, there is “a strange, pretentious building – not a mansion, not a temple – this quadrangular building is crowned with domes with a cross. Absolutely some unimaginable hybrid of a palace and a temple.”

In Russian Orthodox Church confirmed that this object belongs to the Moscow Patriarchate, however, they noted that not a patriarch's cottage, but a spiritual center is being built near Gelendzhik. The territory of the spiritual center was supposed to house a meeting room of the Holy Synod, rooms for the members of the Synod, administrative and managerial services of the Moscow Patriarchate, offices, conference rooms, press center rooms, and so on. In the summer of 2012, the fence around the mysterious object grew significantly in height, became much longer and was equipped with night surveillance cameras and an alarm system. Later, Patriarch Kirill consecrated a temple on the territory of the spiritual center and held a meeting of the Holy Synod there.

Putin's Palace

On the Black Sea coast, near the village of Praskoveevka in the Gelendzhik region, there is a “recreation complex” that is rumored to belong to Putin.

Businessman Sergey Kolesnikov claims that, although the project was envisaged as a private residence for Nikolai Shamalov, the construction of the palace was carried out by Spetsstroy of Russia, and supervised it, guarded it and gave all instructions federal Service protection. According to Kolesnikov, the complex covered an area of “tens of thousands of square meters” and was equipped with “a casino, a winter theater, a summer amphitheater, a chapel, swimming pools, a sports complex, heliports, landscaped parks, tea houses, premises for service personnel and other technical buildings.

In the spring of 2011, Shamalov's company Indokopas, together with the residence, was sold to a Cypriot company, the beneficiary of which is businessman Alexander Ponomarenko. Bloggers also suggest that the palace is the private residence of Vladimir Putin. In particular, according to their statement, on August 6-7, 2011, three large yachts were seen near the residence (one of them looked like the Olympia yacht, which, according to bloggers, Putin uses) and two patrol ships. And a few days before that, law enforcement agencies cleared the nearest coast of tents and checked the passports of the citizens resting in them.

Subsequently, Vladimir Kozhin, the head of the presidential affairs of the Russian Federation, denied reports about the construction of a residence for Vladimir Putin.

Tired of monotony, typical sizes and shapes? It's time to go beyond the usual and get acquainted with the most famous and unusual buildings of this world!

We are waiting for a lot of interesting and surprising! Let's start with the Crooked House - the most beloved and known to travelers across Poland.

This unusual house is completely devoid of right angles. It was created in 2004 by architects Zalevsky and Shotinsky. With the accuracy inherent in Europeans, the architects have inscribed such an unusual structure in the historical part of the city, while at the same time with maximum benefit for nearby shops and cafes and external harmony with the surrounding buildings. The architects were inspired to create such a bold building by the drawings of children's book artists Per Oskar Dahlberg and Jan Marcin Schanzer.

Despite being bizarre appearance, the crooked house is incredibly functional and is rightfully considered one of the main attractions of the city. Near this truly extraordinary structure, life and movement are constantly in full swing. On the ground floor of the quaint house there are cozy cafes and shops. And on the second are the studios of popular radio stations. If you are in Poland, be sure to take a picture against the backdrop of this futuristic building.

In fairness, it is worth saying that the construction took him 33 years of his life. In 1969, his extraordinary house received the status of a monument and became the main attraction of the town. Having gained fame, the author wished to be buried only in his palace, but was refused, after which the resourceful Ferdinand built a family crypt in the same style as the house, where he rests to this day. The uniqueness of the house is in its “soul”, it is multifaceted, like the whole world, every nation will see in it something from their culture.

Inspired by the creations of Antonio Gaudí, architect and innkeeper (in one person) Hang Nga created her fabulous house, which guests called the “Crazy House”.

She moved to Dalat (Vietnam) after almost 10 years in Russia and began to implement her project. In appearance, the hotel is a huge tree with decorations of caves, cobwebs and giant animals. At the heart of her creations there are no classic techniques with straight walls and lines. The building consists entirely of labyrinths, oblique lines and bends. Vietnamese long time thought that this style is a common practice for Russia.
