Installation of the facade on the dishwasher Indesit. How to install a dishwasher front

I continue to work on my long-term construction. I hang facades. The queue reached the dishwasher, which I installed earlier. The microwave was installed between adjacent boxes.

A tin strip from the kit was nailed to the bottom of the table top. I did not understand why it is needed, but it is necessary, it is necessary. In the photo, a view of the table from below - it turned out not quite clear))

Now the facade. I draw your attention to the fact that its width is prescribed in the passport for the typewriter. And it must go BETWEEN the boxes. In my case, it was overhead, that is, in order to install it, the adjacent boxes had to be moved apart, which is not correct. One consolation - the width of the false panel in the corner made it possible to do this completely painlessly.

I marked and drilled holes for the handle in the facade.

Self-tapping screws flush with the rear surface

Now let's move on to the markup. The instruction itself acts as a template - I strongly do not recommend losing it. There is a ruler on the sides (on it we mark the gap between the facade and the countertop). I bent along this line.

We mark the center of the facade and combine it with the center of the template. We fix the paper on the facade with masking tape.

Gradually smoothing, glue with adhesive tape and further.

We drill the marked mounting holes (neatly, not through) with a thin drill. 2 mm.

Please note that the template shows the course of action in detail.
Hooks are attached to the bottom of the facade. In this case, self-tapping screws are used under an asterisk

After fixing both hooks, the facade is ready for installation. Legs on top - this daughter helps.

The machine should be set "in the horizon" and pressed against the tabletop. For this wrench or a pair of legs rotate in front with pliers, and the back leg rotates with this screw (a screwdriver is inserted into it).

We stick strips of double-sided tape from the set on the dishwasher door. They are equipped with Velcro (Velcro), which allows you to subsequently adjust the position of the facade.

Hooks are placed in the holes under them (there are only two of them - do not confuse them) and the facade, leaning on them, is pressed against the adhesive tape. We look, we check the gaps with neighboring facades (if they do not suit you, then the facade can be torn off and re-glued - Velcro, as I said above, allows).

It remains to fix the facade in this place tightly. To do this, unscrew the short screws that were screwed in from the inside and put in their place the long ones from the kit.

As a result, the facade looks like this (sorry for the mess - the work is done in a developed way of life)

Dishwasher manufacturers are trying to meet the requirements of all users, offering various models that differ in functionality and installation method. Free-standing Bosch or Electrolux devices do not require additional space organization, but built-in ones require attention and do-it-yourself installation skills, the presence of a niche in the furniture set. Such installation has a significant advantage - it saves precious square meters on the kitchen.

Installing the facade on a Bosch, Siemens, Beko or Electrolux dishwasher) can be done by hand if you have free time and additional materials.

How to start DIY installation

If you have already bought an electronic assistant that can save you from mountains dirty dishes, you need to place it in a furniture niche, which will then close with a facade, and connect it in accordance with the diagram. It is important to do everything correctly and in stages so that you do not have to remove the bulky Bosch unit, remove installed facade and repeat the procedure again. Be sure to test the machine for performance.

The master should have at hand furniture facade, which will be attached to the front of a Bosch, Siemens or Electrolux dishwasher. It must fully comply with the dimensions of the device so that there are no obstacles during the opening / closing of the door. Otherwise, the dishwashing program will not start if there is a skew or a small gap. Do-it-yourself installation of the facade of the dishwasher using the video will help you quickly navigate and avoid mistakes.

Tools for the job

Before starting the installation, you need to make sure that the master's arsenal contains:

  • roulette;
  • a set of fittings suitable in size;
  • facade;
  • a set of screws;
  • screwdriver or electric drill.

The installation of the front for the dishwasher is carried out after adjusting the height of the unit by adjusting the legs. The permissible slope of one of the sides is no more than 2 degrees.

First stage of work

Installing the facade on the dishwasher in the video begins with attaching a handle, with which it will be easy to use the device daily. She must:

  • be of medium size;
  • not have obstacles during the opening / closing of the door;
  • be strictly centered.

Installing the facade on any dishwasher model (Siemens, Bosch or Beko) according to the scheme, as shown in the video, will help save time. In fact, the whole event will take no more than an hour.

The second stage of the installation of the facade

  • double-sided construction tape;
  • screws.

On the kitchen facade, if in the future it is planned to install a dishwasher in a furniture niche, there are special paper linings. It has marks on it where you need to accurately drill holes for the screws.

Installing the facade on the Bosch dishwasher from the video shows that after the door is attached to the unit, it is necessary to open the structure all the way in order to adjust the degree of spring tension by turning the screws to the desired position.

Installing the facade, unlike connecting the dishwasher, is quite easy, you just have to follow the instructions and do everything in stages. To install the facade, you will need the following tools and items:

  • screwdriver,
  • furniture panels,
  • roulette,
  • countertop,
  • appropriate fittings.

How is the installation

The facade canopy is made only if the dishwasher needs to be installed in an already finished kitchen. Due to the fact that many of these devices come with installation instructions, this should not be a problem.

To install the facade, a handle is first fixed on it, for which the dishwasher will open. Bosch machine, Electrolux, Kandy, Ariston or Indesit. After that, it is necessary to install fasteners adapted to engage with the door of the device. On the installed facade element there is a special paper overlay, which indicates exactly where the holes need to be drilled in order to apply fasteners. You can drill directly according to the drawing to eliminate the possibility of error.

After all the holes are made, you need to install special fasteners. After that, the front is simply attached to the dishwasher. This happens by inserting fasteners into special grooves on the dishwasher door.

But on this, the installation of the facade has not yet been completed, since this hinged element needs to be fixed. To do this, first open the car door, and then unscrew a few bolts with inside doors. They are replaced with longer ones that will allow you to attach the facade. At the same stage, you can adjust the degree of tension of the machine door springs by turning the screws. By watching the video, you can get a more accurate picture of the process.

Advantages of the facade

Facade installation has several advantages:

  • the device fits well into the interior,
  • the control panel becomes visible only when the device is opened,
  • facade reduces noise and vibration.

What is the difference between built-in dishwashers

Built-in appliances are different in that they are designed to be installed in a finished kitchen, and therefore their body is somewhat modified. The control panel on such models becomes visible only after opening the door and, as a rule, is located at its end. There are also partially hidden devices. The difference is that they do not need to be opened to manage.

When choosing such a technique, you can not pay attention to appearance. When purchasing such a dishwasher, it is worth remembering that the distance from the walls to other furniture should be at least 3 cm. The appearance of built-in appliances is not aesthetically pleasing, and its price is about 20% higher.

What characteristics should you pay attention to when buying

First you need to decide which model you want to purchase. There are two types:

  • fully built-in dishwashers, the control panel of which is completely hidden;
  • partially embedded.

Among the latter, there are devices that are not installed in the finished kitchen, but are designed to be placed next to other furniture. One of the most important characteristics is the width of the dishwasher. If he lives in the house a large number of people, you should purchase a device whose capacity is equal to 12 sets of dishes. In the case where the capacity is not great importance, models designed for 9 sets are purchased. There are also machines for 6 sets of dishes.

How to choose an integrated dishwasher

In order for the purchased device to please its owners, its choice should be approached more carefully. To do this, it is enough to evaluate several parameters. One of them is the availability of programs. Mandatory modes include:

  • normal,
  • fast,
  • intensive,
  • soak.

The choice of programs depends on the degree of soiling of the dishes and their type. There is also the option of choosing a delicate wash designed for fragile items.

After buying a built-in dishwasher, the user is faced not only with the task of how to connect it to the drain or water supply, electrical communications, but also how to hang the facade on the door. Most trust furniture makers to solve this problem, and only a few hang the facade on their own. What is necessary for such work, how to carry out installation - we will answer these questions.

Facade and its purpose

The front of the dishwasher is a decorative panel, which is usually made of the same material as the fronts of kitchen furniture. It is attached to the door. The facade allows you to hide the dishwasher in such a way that it is not always possible to understand that it is the dishwasher, and not the cabinet, that is hidden behind it.

Fully 45 or 60 cm with hinged front have some advantages:

  • they facilitate the choice, from the point of view of the design component, there is no need to match the color of the dishwasher to the color of the kitchen or other furniture, it will still be hidden, which means it will fit perfectly into the interior;
  • the control panel is not noticeable, which means that small children will not press the buttons once again;
  • thanks to the facade, it is not so audible how the machine makes noise during washing.

The facade is most often made of MDF with a thickness of 16 mm, it can be laminated MDF or covered with a colored film, and therefore the color and texture of the facade can be any. And one more thing, in some built-in dishwashers, the open door is fixed only after the facade has been installed.

Decorative panel dimensions

The size of the front will primarily depend on the size of the dishwasher. In width, these are mainly machines 45 and 60 cm, the height of most built-in machines is 82 cm. But there are compact models with a height of 60 and 50 cm.

Important! We brought the average size machines (60 and 45 cm), models may differ from each other in width and height from a few millimeters to several centimeters.

Experts recommend that you first choose a dishwasher 60 cm or 45, determine its size, and only then order furniture for the kitchen. In this case, there is less chance of making a mistake with the dimensions of the niche for the dishwasher and, accordingly, the dimensions of the facade. Indeed, in reality, a dishwasher can have a width of not 60, but 59.2 cm, not 45, but 44.6 cm, which is very significant. An incorrectly made facade can no longer be cut, as its appearance will deteriorate, since the end parts of the facade, as well as its front side, are laminated or covered with a film.

As for the height of the facade of the dishwasher, it must also be clearly calculated. The height of the front of the dishwasher is slightly higher than the height of the dishwasher door. In order for the facade to be flush with the countertop, you will have to adjust not the facade, but the legs of the dishwasher so that it clearly enters under the countertop. What will be the height of the facade in a partially built-in dishwasher will depend on the width of the control panel placed on the door. Hanging such a facade is a little easier than in fully built-in models.

We hang the decorative panel ourselves

The facade on the dishwasher should be hung only after the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and drain. In addition, you need to install the dishwasher in a niche that is reserved for it. Work may require:

  • roulette;
  • screwdrivers;
  • fasteners;
  • handle for opening the door;
  • the façade itself.

Note! In many embedded dishwashers the package comes with instructions for attaching the facade and a special template for marking. In models Bosch, Siemens even put a special screwdriver.

So, before installing the facade, the dishwasher is attached to the side walls of adjacent cabinets and to the countertop. After that, you need to screw the handle on the front side of the facade to open the door. To do this, you need to carefully make holes for the screw with a drill. The drill should be thinner than the screw, and you need to drill from the front side. So you avoid chipping on the facade.

Next, you need to determine the distance (Z) at which the facade fasteners should be located. This is necessary so that the edge of the front of the dishwasher is flush with the edges of the fronts of adjacent cabinets. Using a tape measure, measure the gap between the worktop and the front of the adjacent cabinet (distance x), then measure the distance from the top fastening of the facade to the worktop (distance y). Now we calculate Z \u003d y-x, this will be the required size - the distance from the attachment point to the edge of the dishwasher facade.

After measurements, take a template from the kit and attach it to the inner surface of the facade with adhesive tape, according to the calculations. It’s better to double-check everything several times, and if possible, practice on a piece of unnecessary MDF. So, using the template, mark the points for the mounting holes. Then drill holes so that the drill does not go through, ¾ of the thickness of the facade is enough, otherwise there will be holes. You can do without drilling, but such a mount is more reliable.

And finally, fix the facade with screws. In some models, it is necessary to unscrew the short ones and screw long screws in their place, which will pull the door and the facade together. The installation may not end there. First, check how the door opens, whether it rests against the base at the bottom, how tight it opens.

Important! The degree of tension of the dishwasher door is adjusted using bolts located at the bottom of the machine on the sides.

If the facade rests against the plinth when opening, which can happen during miscalculations, it will be necessary to make a small gap in the plinth. The size of this gap will be equal to the thickness of the facade plus 2-3 mm. This is a completely acceptable option, especially when it is not possible to adjust all the facades in level by twisting the legs of furniture and a dishwasher.

So, installing a decorative panel on the door of a 60 or 45 cm built-in dishwasher should not be difficult if everything is correctly calculated and the size of the facade is adjusted to the size of the equipment. We hope our tips will help you in your work, good luck!

Installing the facade on the dishwasher solves the problems of organizing space, interior, sound insulation. The fully built-in machine is not visible behind the headset door. The dishwasher door is fully closed with a hinge.

For built-in partially - the control panel remains open.

This type of installation guarantees full control washing process (if there are no small children in the house who like to press buttons). How to fix decorative facades- our article will help to understand.

Facade types, functions

Facade for PMM - decorative trim, which is in harmony with kitchen furniture. Attaches to car door. Practical, durable MDF panels. They can be laminated, covered with a colored film, screwed on original fittings, various decorative elements. Hanging chipboard, PVC is a big risk. These materials are easily deformed from vibration, high temperature, moisture.

Sheathing features:

  • Simplify the choice of technology. You can not worry about the color of the body, but focus on technical specifications, since the dishwasher will still not be visible.
  • Child protection. The machine hidden behind the door will not become a "victim" of children's curiosity.
  • Noise isolation. Additional panel absorbs noise. German built-in models, such as Siemens (Siemens), Bosch (Bosch), Miele (Mile), Hansa (Hans), are equipped with special noise-absorbing gaskets that are inserted between the door and the front panel.

Mounting types

The casing can be attached with screws to the door (option for fully built-in models), fixed on hinges (for partially built-in models). Slider mount is often used in modifications "Gorenie", "Ikea", "Electrolux", Beko.

Sheathing dimensions

Depends on the dimensions of the PMM. Standard Width machines 60 cm (full size), 45 cm (narrow). The common height is 82 cm. Dimensions may vary greatly from standards. We advise you to purchase a headset after buying a dishwasher. So that it can be perfectly installed under the countertop, fixed. For example, Ikea kitchens are suitable for all models of dishwashers from this manufacturer. Shop "Leroy Merlin" sells household appliances under the order. If the facade more door, it will rest against the plinth when opened.

Long facade for the dishwasher: what to do?

Try adjusting the height of the dishwasher by twisting the feet. You can make a gap in the basement equal to the thickness of the facade, doors, plus a couple of millimeters of stock.

How to install a dishwasher under the facade

Before starting work, study the installation instructions, make sure that the case is on the shoulder. Remember to follow safety precautions. Useful to see actual video, for example

To begin with, the installation of communications is carried out: water supply, sewerage, electrical network. Only after a test check, the PMM can be fixed in a niche, under the table top, and a decorative panel can be hung. Fasteners are made with bolts (screws, self-tapping screws) that come with the kit. Together with fasteners, gaskets, instructions, you will find a stencil. Attaching it to the walls of the cabinet, the tabletop (depending on the PMM model), draw the locations of the holes for fastening. They are easy to make with a perforator. Do not make through holes, it will be enough to drill ¾ of the wall thickness. It remains to fasten the protection for the countertop, put the dishwasher in the cabinet. Last steps:

  1. Attach fittings, slider mechanism (if necessary).
  2. After attaching the stencil, determine the attachment points on inner surface facade.
  3. Drill points with a narrow bit, not through, so as not to damage the exterior finish.
  4. Remove the transport screws from the door (if present).
  5. If you are working without an assistant, try temporarily fixing the facade on the door double sided tape to easily screw the mounting bolts in the right places.
  6. Check the fit, the quality of fixation, blocking, the presence of interference when opening, closing.
