Valves KLOP-1 are produced exclusively in channel version with an external drive and two flanges. Normally open valves (NO) can be made in various modifications and equipped with actuators various types, including:

KLOP valves -1 with an electromagnetic drive with a possible configuration with a thermal lock (TK) on 72°C;

KLOP valves -1 with an electromagnetic drive of circular cross section (without TK);

KLOP valves -1 with BELIMO electromechanical drive (BLF or BF) 72°C;

KLOP valves -1 with spring type drive and TK on72°С or ТЗ at 141°С with a possible complete set of microswitches.

Fire-fighting normally open (fire-retarding) dampers KLOP®-1 are designed to block the spread of fire and combustion products through air ducts, shafts and channels of ventilation and air conditioning systems of buildings and structures for various purposes. Normally closed KLOP®-1 dampers are used as dampers for mechanical supply and exhaust smoke ventilation, the dampers can also be used as smoke dampers. Valves are used in accordance with regulatory requirements. KLOP®-1 dampers are not subject to installation in rooms of categories A and B due to explosion and fire hazard. AT specified premises KLOP®-1 or KLOP®-2 dampers are installed in an explosion-proof version.

Fire resistance limit of valves KLOP®-1(60/90)

In normally open (fire-retardant) damper mode:

  • when the drive is located on the side of thermal exposure - EI 60/90;
  • when the drive is located on the side opposite to the thermal effect - EI 60/90;
  • when installing the damper on the duct section outside the enclosing
  • building structure with a standardized fire resistance limit - EI 60/90;

- in the normally closed valve mode - EI 60/90;

– in smoke valve mode - E 60/90.

When deciding on the use of fire dampers, it is advisable to take into account the advantages of the new generation of KLOP®-2 dampers with improved characteristics (see the KLOP®-2 section). In accordance with the record in the NO certificates, the dampers KLP®-1 (60/90) can be installed both in a fire-resistant building structure (fire barrier) and outside it in a section of a fire-resistant air duct, regardless of the direction of possible thermal effects on their structures. In accordance with the requirement of clause 6.11 of SP 7.13130.2013, this allows the installation of dampers on either side of the fire barrier, regardless of the location of the fire in relation to this barrier. Compliance with the requirement of clause 6.11 is ensured by the presence of a casing protecting the drive of HO valves both when they are installed in a fire-resistant building structure, and when valves are installed in an air duct section outside this structure.

Normally open (NO) valves KLOP®-1 are manufactured in various modifications depending on the type of drive:

– with an electromagnetic drive in combination with a thermal lock at 72°C (by special order at 93 or 141°C);

– with BELIMO electromechanical actuators type BFL, BFN or BF (for valves large sizes) in combination with a thermal disconnect device at 72°C (on special order at 93 or 141°C);

Normally closed (NC) KLP®-1 valves are produced with an electromagnetic actuator without a thermal lock or BELIMO reversible actuators of the BLE, BEN, BEE or BE type (for large valves). Drive characteristics and electrical circuits their connections are shown on pages 78-83.

KLOP®-1 valves are produced rectangular section only "channel" type with two flanges. The valve actuator is installed outside the housing. The valve body is made of carbon cold rolled steel followed by coloring. By special order, the body can be made of stainless steel. The body and damper of such valves are made of stainless steel (spanish "stainless steel"), other components and structural elements are made of carbon steel with anti-corrosion zinc coating. The valve flaps are filled with thermal insulation.

KLOP®-1 dampers are operable in any spatial orientation. When designing and installing valves in ventilation systems, it is recommended to take into account the convenience of access to the valve actuator and inspection hatches in its body. When installing KLOP®-1 dampers in large-section air ducts in areas located behind the place of a sharp change in the direction of the air flow, for example, behind 90 ° bends, it is recommended to ensure the open position of the damper damper in the plane of flow turn or use KLOP®-3 dampers. Type of climatic modification of valves - U3 in accordance with GOST 15150-69. The dampers can be installed indoors with air temperatures from -30°C to +40°C, where fluctuations in temperature and air humidity are significantly less than outside the building. Environment must be explosion-proof, not containing aggressive vapors and gases in concentrations that destroy metals, paint coatings and electrical insulation.

The body of the round valves is made of galvanized steel.

Execution

Type of climatic version of valves - U3 according to GOST 15150-69. The dampers can be installed indoors with an ambient temperature of -30 °C to +40 °C in the absence of direct exposure to atmospheric precipitation and moisture condensation on the damper.

The environment must be explosion-proof, not containing aggressive vapors and gases in concentrations that destroy metals, paintwork and electrical insulation.

When normally open (fire-retarding) dampers are installed outside walls (ceilings), external fire protection must be applied to the edge of the casing protecting the damper actuator, and in accordance with the requirements of SNiP 41-01-2008 (clause 7.11.1, Note 1) must provide a limit fire resistance not less than the required fire resistance limit of the barrier.

In accordance with SNiP, dampers can be installed from the side of room A. In these cases, the valve installation diagrams are depicted “mirror” with respect to the building structure, that is, the protective casing must be located in the structure or external fire protection from the side of room A.

In accordance with the results of many years of climatic tests of valves carried out for the conditions of their operation at the interface between media and different temperatures and humidity this scheme recommended for macroclimatic regions with a temperate climate.

When installing dampers in the outer building envelope, additional devices are provided to prevent atmospheric precipitation from entering the damper, for example, louvered grilles, visors, etc.

For installation in air ducts with a diameter of 100, 125 and 140 mm, instead of KLOP ® -1 dampers with tubular or plate transitions, KLOP ® -2 dampers of the corresponding diameter without transitions can be manufactured.

Valves "transport" execution

The valves have design features that take into account the specifics of operating conditions at transport facilities and can be used in ventilation and air conditioning systems of rolling stock of railway transport. The valves have been tested for vibration resistance and impact.

Valves for clean rooms

Valves are made of rectangular section and round section (only nipple version).

Stainless steel is used in the manufacture of the valve body, damper and casing special purpose. Valves can be used in food, pharmaceutical and microelectronic industries.
The main technical characteristics of special purpose valves are similar to those of KLP-1 valves.

Marking features

Upon purchase of valves, technical passports with a stamp seal are issued of blue color in the right upper corner front side of the cover. Covers of passports are made of thick colored paper, each type of valve has its own color. In the upper part, a brand name with the manufacturer's logo (flame - red, an inscription, and a stylized image of black smoke) made of metallized foil imitating gold should be pasted. Selective varnishing in the form of the manufacturer's logo is made diagonally.

Each technical passport has its own number, which is placed in the center of the passport. The number of the technical passport coincides with the account number, according to which this batch of products is released. For example: 15/6. If several technical passports are required for a batch of valves according to one invoice, then they are numbered in serial numbers with a hyphen from the invoice number. For example: 15/6-1, 15/6-2, etc.

On hosted in technical passport copies of the certificate fire safety the blue stamp of the manufacturer and the signature of the authorized person are affixed.

Valve serial number labels are affixed to the valve bodies. Each of them has its own color: KLOP®-1 - blue. The labels, as well as the security mark, are made of metallized foil. The inscriptions on the main background are golden, on the horizontal red stripe at the bottom of the label - black. Diagonally (along the entire field) there is selective varnishing in the form of the manufacturer's logo.

Additionally, labels are affixed to the valve body indicating the functional purpose of the valve (NO, NC, D) and the fire resistance limit. In addition, solenoid actuated valves are labeled with a wiring diagram for the solenoid and microswitches, as well as labels indicating the damper position (“open”, “closed”).
