For a fun friendly party, we cook spicy chicken wings in honey and soy sauce. This original dish, which combines moderately sweet and salty-spicy taste at the same time, will come in handy with a glass of beer.

Wings are prepared in an elementary way: the basis of the recipe is the simplest marinade, which gives the chicken an interesting and unbanal taste. Optionally, complement the finished dish with a side dish or serve the wings as an appetizer - in any case, it will be very tasty!

Ingredients:

  • chicken wings - 500 g;
  • liquid honey - 2 teaspoons;
  • garlic - 1-2 teeth;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. a spoon;
  • soy sauce - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

How to make marinade for chicken wings

  1. First, prepare the sweet-salty marinade. To do this, mix soy sauce with vegetable oil, introduce a sweet component - honey (if you use thick honey, melt it in a water bath first). We clean the garlic cloves, pass through a press and put them in a soy-honey mixture, mix.
  2. Let's move on to the chicken. Each washed chicken wing is cut at the joints into 3 parts. The tips (the smallest part) can be omitted, since there is practically no meat in them.
  3. We put the bird in a deep bowl. If the soy sauce isn't salty enough, sprinkle the chicken pieces with salt. Season the wings with pepper (if you want the wings to turn out “fiery”, use red ground pepper or add a chili pod, cutting it into thin rings).
  4. Pour the prepared marinade for the chicken wings into the bowl. Mix thoroughly so that each piece of chicken is soaked in sweet-salty sauce. Leave to marinate for 2 hours. During this time, mix the wings several times. We spread the marinated chicken in a refractory form, pour over the rest of the marinade.
  5. We send it to a hot oven by that time and bake for about 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees. The readiness of the wings can be determined by the rich and bright color of the crust.

Prepare the marinade. The main ingredients are soy sauce, honey and garlic. Usually I also add ready-made mustard, but even without it, delicious wings are obtained. You can also take a teaspoon of mustard seeds or a pinch of powder. Finely chop the garlic or pass through a press. Put in a bowl. And I advise spicy lovers to get hold of a piece of ginger root and finely grate it. And then send to other components. Stir in soy-honey marinade. Taste and salt as needed.

If the honey has thickened, it will be difficult to stir it into the marinade. Pre-melt it in a water bath. Instead of natural honey, which is not recommended for heating, you can use artificial "bee gold" or brown cane sugar. After baking in the oven, chicken wings will turn out to be just as ruddy, fragrant and tasty, covered with a beautiful glossy crust.

Rinse the wings thoroughly under cold running water. Let the liquid drain, and pat dry with paper towels.

You can remove the extreme parts of the wings (the third small joints), or you may not cut them off (as in this recipe). If you wish, you can also cut the wings along the fold into 2 parts.

Place the prepared wings tightly in a deep enameled or glass dish.

Next, start preparing the marinade. To do this, combine soy sauce, honey, ground paprika, turmeric and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly. You don't need to add salt as the soy sauce is quite salty.

Pour marinade over wings and mix well.

In order for the chicken to be completely immersed in the marinade and soaked with it properly, cover it with a small plate and put a weight on top (for example, a jar of water).

Send the container with the wings to the refrigerator overnight. If possible, marinate the chicken overnight. The taste of the wings will only benefit from this.

Arrange the wings in a single layer, pressing tightly against each other, on the grill.

Set the grate over the coals and fry the wings for half an hour. Do not forget to turn the grate over, otherwise the chicken may burn.

You can cook the same wings on skewers. But in this case, you will definitely have to cut off small joints, otherwise they will simply char.

3. If the honey is thick, then you need to slightly warm it up in a water or steam bath. Pour the wings with liquid honey, add vegetable oil, and mix everything. Let the chicken marinate for a couple of hours or overnight.

Wings with honey-based sauce do not require much time, so this recipe is suitable for a busy hostess who can do a lot of things while the meat is marinated.

For this dish you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 circle of lemon
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • pepper and salt to taste

Wash the wings and lay them out on a towel to dry. Then pour the soy sauce and oil into a deep bowl, put the chopped garlic, honey and ketchup, squeeze the juice from the lemon, pour the mustard, and then add the pepper and salt.
