How to fill the yard with concrete - detailed instructions with a photo. We concrete a platform for a car Concrete platform laying technology

A concrete pad is the best option if you have a private house / summer cottage in the suburbs. After you have reached the desired location, there is a need to equip a special place for the car. It is possible to build a garage and put the car there, but, in some cases, there is no place for a garage or the parameters of the site do not allow you to start additional construction. In this case, you can concrete the area for your vehicle.

A person without construction experience will be able to concrete the sites. You just need to immerse yourself a little in the specifics of the building, find out what technology is needed, the brand of concrete, and the arrangement of additional tools.

Advantages and disadvantages

Do-it-yourself site concreting has a number of advantages:

  • Aesthetic appearance (after you have done the basic construction work, you can give the sites a beautiful appearance. Use lamps, benches, any decorative element that you like).
  • Convenient entry (since the surface will be absolutely flat, you will be able to freely enter / exit the site).
  • Hygiene and ease of use (such sites do not require special maintenance items; concrete will not allow the site to create a lot of dirt).

Pay attention to some negative indicators of concreting:

  • laboriousness;
  • financial expenses (in case you plan to hire a construction team).

If you want to get a high-quality, strong and durable result, you need to clearly follow the instructions for creating a mixture, building a building, its structural features, and so on. You can turn to professionals for help, but it will be much more expensive than building it yourself.

Site construction

Training

For a platform under a car, a layer of mortar of 15 cm is sufficient.

Preparation for construction takes place in several stages.

  • Stage 1. Create site layout (or sites). Take pegs (sticks, any similar items), arrange them at the right distance and wrap them with a rope. These will be the boundaries of the site.
  • Stage 2. Dig a layer of earth 25 centimeters long. If necessary, the soil can be reused. Level and compact the surface.
  • Stage 3. Create formwork. This is a special structure made of boards and pegs, it outlines the boundaries that need to be concreted. Check that the formwork is level using a spirit level. Cover the bottom with geotextile (a material that can only pass moisture in one direction), it will help the future solution to absorb.
  • Stage 4. The next step is the sand cushion. It is formed from sand and cement. The pillow consists of sand and gravel. Tamp the material.

Reinforcement

For reinforcement, fittings or ordinary wire mesh are suitable. The grid is suitable only for small loads. The thickness of the material must be 10 mm. Lay the reinforcing bars lengthwise, and then transversely, heading around the perimeter. In places where the rods intersect, tie them with soft wire. Welding should not be used for the connection. The frame will come out rigid and incompatible with the ground. In this case, cracks will appear on the concrete.

Installation of beacons

Lighthouses are installed so that the final result is even and clear. Use special metal profiles (cheapest/best option). Create a mixture of cement and sand (1: 4), form slides out of it, insert beacons into the slides made. Use a spirit level to check the slope of the floor. The maximum allowable distance between beacons is 1 meter.

Concrete mix: preparation/pouring

The filling will come out of high quality if you use a special machine - a concrete mixer (you can rent it). Pour water into the machine, then cement, then crushed stone. Knead the solution for 20 minutes. The proportions depend on the brand of materials. Follow the proportions indicated in the instructions.

Finishing

To avoid cracking, the concrete should be allowed to dry gradually. Cover the area with polyethylene and let it dry. If the site is set up in hot weather, pour the solution with water. After a few days, the solution will seize, stop sticking. Clean out the bumps (if any) with a spatula.

Care rules

After concreting, you must wait a week, and then park the car.

The first week after the concreting of the place for the car was carried out, do not subject it to strong mechanical stress. Do not immediately put a car there, especially a truck. The main rule of care is to maintain optimal humidity. Concrete in the early days should be under a small layer of water (especially in the case of work in the summer). If the temperature is too high, the concrete will lose its stability property, it will crumble, crack. You can fill the surface with water before hardening and after. You can purchase a special solution for at a hardware store. It will help strengthen concrete, make it better, more durable, stronger.

Once the car pedestal building process has been completed and the additional maintenance rules have been completed, rest assured that your car is no longer in danger. The main thing is to make the preparations correctly, the process itself is not as complicated as you imagine it to be.

A car park is an integral part of almost every plot or private yard. The car park serves as a place to park the car, and is also a roadway leading to the garage or yard. The platform that will serve as the entrance, as a rule, is carried out using a ramp.

A ramp is a material in manufacture, which is used as a monolithic concrete slab. The slabs from which it is planned to produce the ramp must correspond to its dimensions and the loads it experiences.

In most cases, such tiles are used with a thickness of 150 millimeters. Also the tile to be used must be reinforced on one side.

The advantage of this type is to facilitate the entry of the car. Also, the ramp prevents water from entering areas that are adjacent.

A ramp slab should be located on the site. There should also be a horizontal plate. A seam is installed between these plates. This seam, which is installed between the plates, is a deformation. It must be sealed with a material that provides waterproofing. Liquid glass is perfect for sealing the seam.

Do-it-yourself concreting of a platform for a car

There are times when the platform for the car has to be concreted with your own hands. Paving a site is not difficult work, which includes a number of advantages. For those who decide to carry out concreting with their own hands, this is a very profitable job, since you can save on craftsmen.

First you need to make a triangular formwork. The sides of the formwork should be 1 meter and 1.5. It can be bought ready-made or ordered, but most builders prefer to make their own formwork. In order to make it, it is necessary to have an edged board, the thickness of which should be 15–25 millimeters, and the width 6–9 cm.

Formwork installation is easy, you only need to lay it on the surface in such a way that the top edge of the board protrudes a few centimeters above ground level. In order to avoid mistakes, which can cause uneven ground, it is necessary to do everything according to the level.

Preparation for concreting the site

The first thing to do is to designate the form and the place where the concreting will take place. To mark the place and form, pegs and a rope are used.

It is also required to determine the depth of the layer, usually it is set at about 20–25 cm, but if it is planned to park large vehicles (trucks, as well as tractors, and so on), then the depth should be greater.

That is, the more the load will be placed on the site, the deeper the layer should be.

Then you need to do this before concreting to carry out a thorough planning. It is required to process the surface of the soil. It is necessary to clean the surface from various clogging objects. If various roots and other vegetation stick out, it must be removed.

It is also important to know that before concreting, you need to pay attention to the ground. Often builders, as well as amateurs, make a very serious mistake. The mistake is that many do not pay attention to the uneven parts of the surface.

Hillocks and pits cause a non-density of the screed, and also because of them, the cost of funds increases. In order to avoid this, it is necessary to level the area by removing uneven parts.

After the surface of the soil has been cleaned, it is necessary to pour sand. The layer of sand should be about 10-15 centimeters thick. After the sand has been poured, it must be leveled and filled with water so that the layer is compacted.

Features of concreting

Features of concreting a site for a car are car care. For example, many drivers go to their country house in their car and park it under the sun. Also, many people put cars in puddles or mud formed after rain. In order for the car to always be clean and not stand in mud and puddles, many make a special platform.

The site is different, before you start doing it, you need to decide what load it will be assigned to. For example, if there is some kind of light structure or a car on the site, then 5 cm of a layer of concrete will be sufficient for this. And if it is planned to park heavy equipment or large structures on it, then the concrete layer should be more appropriate for the loads.

Site concreting tools

For concreting a site for a car, you need to have many tools:

    1. concrete mixer.
    2. Regular shovel.
    3. Level.
    4. Concrete mixer.
    5. Hammer, saw, and nails.

concrete mixer- This is a device that performs work with the transport of the mixture. Experts advise using a mixer called Avant to transport concrete. This mixer is ideal for transporting concrete. It is also able to work even in conditions in which there is no access to electricity.

The concrete mixer serves not only to transport the mixture, but is also a mini-loader. It is also an advantage that due to the boom, the concrete is very convenient and easy to unload.

Shovel, at first glance, it may seem like a petty tool, but in fact it plays an important role. Even if the mixer poured concrete, then it needs to be leveled for this and a shovel serves.

It is important to know that there are different types of shovels, but the “bayonet” one is perfect for working with concrete.

Level is one of the most important tools. Indeed, before concreting, a lot of work is carried out in which it is necessary to use the level. Levels are different both laser and water, but the principle is the same. For the construction of the formwork, a level is required so that all sides are even. Also, often many do not use the level and almost every beacon that they set turns out to be unequal, that is, one side is higher and the other is lower.

Also an integral tool for working with concrete is concrete mixer. Of course, concrete can be mixed manually with shovels, but this will take a lot of time and effort. Therefore, it is desirable to have a concrete mixer. Also, with a concrete mixer, work will speed up, and it will stir the concrete more thoroughly.

Saw hammer and nails may be needed in the construction of formwork. After all, you will need to saw off unnecessary parts of the board, as well as fasten them with nails. The size of the nails depends on the thickness of the boards.

The technological process of pouring concrete.

At first glance, pouring concrete with your own hands seems impossible, but even a teenager can do this work if he wants to. This work is easy due to the fact that it has almost no subtleties, unlike other construction processes. The very procedure for pouring concrete into a parking lot is divided into the following stages: the construction of the formwork and its installation, the reinforcement procedure, preparation, and pouring concrete.

Advantages and disadvantages of concreting

Everyone who has a desire to make a platform for a car wants it to be reliable. The concrete platform for the car is universal. Also, the operating life of such a site is very long. The advantage of the site is also that it is easy to install, due to this, installation can be done by hand. Concreting of a platform under the car is favorable.

The materials that are used to make the site can be purchased at a bargain price, which is an advantage.

The advantages also include the fact that the material for the manufacture of the site is quickly delivered (if it was ordered). Also, the site will be without bumps, that is, without tubercles and slopes. It won't have dirt on it.

There are very few disadvantages in concrete pads. One of the disadvantages is the high costs, but this is provided if you hire workers, and not do it yourself. Also, the disadvantages include the fact that the work of concreting the site is time-consuming. But in order to get the expected result, that is, the ideal site, all these rules must be observed.

Concreting process

It is important to know that before pouring concrete, it is necessary to check whether it will come into contact with other buildings. If it is located close to another structure, then this can damage the building to which the concrete adjoins. This is due to the fact that the concrete heats up and expands due to this. In order to avoid this, it is required, if necessary, to leave a gap between the concrete and the structure.

During the marking process, it is necessary to check if there are any communication systems. If they are, they must be placed in a pipe or box. This is necessary to prevent damage during concreting.

Preparatory work

As already mentioned, formwork is an integral part of site concreting. The formwork serves as a form for concrete, so that the site is of high quality and even, it is necessary to have this material. Formwork can be bought ready-made, as well as built by yourself, which reduces costs.

Making formwork with your own hands is not at all difficult, so most builders do just that. To make this material, you will need two boards of any thickness, wooden pegs, and spacers. Pegs and spacers are designed for fastening boards. The number of pegs is 4, and the spacers are 2.
Formwork can also be purchased at the store in a ready-to-use form.

Formworks are of different types:

  1. wooden formwork is the most common, because it is very easy to build with your own hands.
  2. In the manufacture of metal formwork use sheets of steel, the thickness of which is 1-2 mm. Also, for the manufacture of such formwork, rolled profiles are used.
  3. Reinforced concrete formwork is a widely known species. Such formwork is made of slabs that are installed as formwork.
  4. Pneumatic structures obtained by carrying out the injection of air into a space that is closed. The air-permeable shell can take on any shape, which is an advantage.

It is important to know that the installation of the shell must be carried out so that the upper edge of the formwork is on a par with the surface of the planned site. In order for the installation of the formwork to be even, it is necessary to use a building level during this work.

In order to prevent moisture from penetrating into the soil, it is necessary to cover the area with geotextiles. This is a special material that prevents moisture from entering the soil. Also, before pouring, it is necessary to equip the pillow.

It is done in the following way:

  1. The first step is to pour sand.
  2. Then a layer of sand must be compacted.
  3. The thickness of the sand layer must be at least 10 cm.
  4. The last step is to fill in the gravel, and then tamp it.
  5. The gravel layer should be as much as the sand.

Reinforcement of the concrete pad

In order for the site to really turn out to be reliable and of high quality, it is necessary to carry out reinforcement before pouring concrete. The principle of reinforcement is to increase the reliability of the site surface due to the material that is installed inside the formwork. As such a material, you can use a mesh of wire or reinforcement.

Wire mesh is ideal for a site that will not be subjected to heavy loads. But for a car site, reinforcing reinforcement is a more suitable option. Of course, this option will take more costs, but at the same time, the site will turn out to be reliable.

For reinforcement, a frame is required. Frame construction is not difficult work. It is required to carry out the laying of the rods. First, the bars must be laid longitudinally. After the bars lie, it is required to lay the next ones in the transverse direction. The rods should be located throughout the site. It is necessary to tie the rods in places where there are intersections. The bundle must be made with metal wire.

Many people use welding to connect rebars. Experts advise not to use welding. Indeed, due to welding, the frame becomes very rigid, which causes cracks on the surface, since the rigid frame does not adapt to the ground.

Installation of beacons

Installing beacons is one of the most important parts of the job. After all, beacons are used to ensure that the surface of the site is even, since they are guides. You can buy ordinary profiles and use them as beacons, the result will be the same, but more profitable, because they are cheap.

Before installing the beacons, it is necessary to mix the cement. It needs to be applied in heaps in places where beacons will be located. Then you need to install beacons on these heaps. Using the level, it is necessary to set the beacons evenly, and then the cement will harden and fix them. It is impossible to pour concrete until the slides on which the beacons were installed are frozen, as they can go astray from their set position.

Preparation and pouring of concrete mix

The first step is to prepare a mixture that will fill the site. To do this, you need to use a concrete mixer, water is poured into it, and then it is turned on and the solution is gradually poured.

After the mixture has been prepared, it must be poured. It is required to fill in the solution and level it between the beacons. To do this, you can use a regular flat rail. Putting it on the beacons, you need to pull it towards you and thereby remove the excess solution.

If, after the concrete has hardened, defects were found on the surface, then they can be corrected by cutting the concrete with diamond wheels.

When landscaping the adjacent territory of a private house, the question arises of the formation of a parking space for a car. The most affordable, inexpensive and quick solution will be concreting a site for a car.

Types of sites for the car

Do-it-yourself parking spaces can be made from various materials, they are:

  • crushed stone or gravel;
  • lawn;
  • ecotextile;
  • tiled;
  • concrete.

Crushed stone, gravel or pebbles can be taken as medium fraction. The main thing is that the pebbles do not get stuck in the tire treads. Such parking lots are constructed quite simply: a sandy base 15 cm high is poured onto the territory marked out for cars, and geotextiles are laid on top. A crushed stone embankment is laid on the material, the layer height should be at least 15 cm, after which this “cushion” is leveled and compacted. The parking lot is ready, to mark its boundaries, you can lay an embankment with brick sides or. Crushed stone is desirable to take chipped.

Lawn parking lots for cars are distinguished by their simplicity: they simply put the car on the grass, the parking place can also be marked with bumpers from old tires.

Ecotextiles will look more aesthetically pleasing than lawn grass, on which wheel ruts form over time. The arrangement of such parking is also simple: a sand-gravel mixture with a total layer height of 15-20 cm is laid on the marked area, covered with geotextiles, lawn honeycombs are attached on top. In these forms, you only need to fill the earth mixed with lawn seeds. Periodically spilling soil backfill, you can get a fun parking lot with a neatly marked grid of lawn grass.

Paving slab parking it is more difficult to build than previous types of parking lots, however, the laboriousness of the process pays off with the strength of the parking lot and the increased service life of the site. The tile is laid on a dry cement-sand mixture, pre-compacted, the boundaries are fenced with borders. The aesthetic appearance of such a car park can only be spoiled by grass growing in the tile joints.

A concrete platform for a car is considered the most difficult to construct among the above types of parking, but its reliability and durability are worth it. A monolithic base, poured with your own hands using the right technology, will last longer than other parking lots.

Production of concrete parking

A concrete platform is arranged in several stages:

  1. Preparatory work.
  2. The device of the bottom under the platform.
  3. Formwork construction.
  4. Reinforcement.
  5. Solution preparation and pouring.

For the construction of a parking lot, it is necessary to know the weight of the car in order to create a concrete structure with the required brand strength. It is needed so that the monolithic base can withstand the distribution of the load from the machine.

Tools you need to make

The set of tools for the construction of a concrete parking lot includes:

  • boards or metal sheets for formwork;
  • metal profiles for the construction of lighthouses;
  • building level;
  • pegs and rope for marking;
  • solution container;
  • shovel, fittings;
  • steel wire.

Cement is best taken grade M500 with frost-resistant additives, sand - river middle fraction; water must be clean without impurities. The presence of a concrete mixer will speed up the process of creating a parking lot.

Choosing a place, taking measurements and calculating the area

A parking space must be selected based on the availability criterion. It is advisable to use for the site part of the territory of the entrance to the house in front of the gate or in the yard.

The size of the future parking lot will depend on the number of parked cars. For example, for a car up to 4 m long, the optimal dimensions of the site will be 2.5x5 m. It must be remembered that adjoining the parking lot close to the foundation of the house is undesirable, since the connection of the parking lot can lead to deformation of buildings due to the expansion of the concrete structure due to the effects of temperature changes .

After determining the parking space, it is necessary to mark the site. To do this, pegs are driven in at the corners, between which a rope is stretched - this is how the boundaries of the base to be poured are indicated.

Surface preparation

After marking, debris and weeds are removed from the construction site. Then a layer of soil is removed to a depth of at least 20 cm. Excavation of the earth is necessary to remove the rhizomes of weeds, which can subsequently rot and destroy the concrete structure.

After preparing a small pit, you can proceed to the construction of a sand cushion:

  1. Sand is poured at the bottom with a layer thickness of 10-15 cm. It should be leveled, slightly moistened and compacted tightly.
  2. Crushed stone of the middle fraction is laid on top of the sandy layer, the thickness of the crushed stone bedding should be at least 10 cm. It is also leveled, moistened and carefully compacted.

In order for atmospheric precipitation and water after washing the machine not to linger on the concrete platform, it is recommended to form it with a slight slope and provide a place for draining.

Before filling the parking lot, it is required to mount a removable formwork structure - it contributes to the formation of even edges of the site. For this, the fences are installed at right angles to the pit. You can fasten them together with nails or screws.

Edged boards, thick plywood, metal sheets are used as formwork. It is also possible to arrange the installation of a fixed formwork made of curb stone by installing it around the perimeter of the site at the edges of the pit. However, in this case, under the sides, you will also need to add the base, since the site should rise above the ground.

After the formwork is installed, it is recommended to install beacons - with their help, the evenness of the mass will be monitored. As lighthouses, a metal profile is used, cut into the required number of pins. Notches are cut on the beacons, along which you can navigate to level the surface.

The pins are fastened to the slides from a sand-cement mixture in a ratio of 4: 1 (sand-cement) prepared in solution. A cord is stretched between the beacons, which is fixed along the marked notches; it is recommended to check the evenness using a level. The step between the beacons should be no more than 0.5 m.

Reinforcement

To increase the strength of concrete, it is necessary to reinforce it. The process consists in laying the reinforcing cage on a sand and gravel cushion in 1-2 layers.

The frame is made in the form of a lattice of reinforcing bars with a diameter of 8-10 mm, fastened together with wire. It is desirable to connect the bars with a viscous one, welding is prohibited due to the increased rigidity of the mesh: in the case of complete fixation of the bars, the reinforcing cage loses its mobility and can lead to deformation of the concrete pavement.

Parking flood

At the end of the preparatory work, the concrete mass is poured. It is necessary to fill the site at a time, therefore it is necessary to knead the solution in such a volume that will be developed immediately. The thickness of the concrete layer should be between 20 and 25 cm.

A standard site fill mix should contain:

  • river sand - 3 parts;
  • cement M500 - 1 part;
  • crushed stone of the middle fraction - 2 parts.

Water is added in the amount necessary for mixing a thick solution, but not more than half of the volume of the binder.

After pouring, the surface should be left for 2 days before hardening, after punctures in several places in order to release air from the mass. Then it is desirable to cut the site, leaving grooves in several places - this is necessary to prevent deformation of the building due to the expansion of concrete due to temperature differences. After 2 days, you can sand the surface, trimming it if necessary.

It is recommended to cover the structure with a film and moisten it 3-5 times a day so that the concrete sets and hardens faster, within a week. Complete hardening will occur in a month, then the concrete will gain grade strength and will be suitable for use.

Calculation of cement slurry

Some builders believe that crushed stone can be omitted if it has already been poured onto a sand cushion as a base. Then, to prepare the concrete mass, it is enough to use sand with cement, having calculated the composition of the mixture in a ratio of 1: 1, and dilute it with water until a homogeneous mass of medium viscosity is formed. The density of the mass should be such that it can seep through the crushed stone layer.

A concrete pad in the country is a fairly simple and effective solution for arranging a recreation area or a parking space for a car. Why is that? Yes, everything is simple! First, you can do it yourself. Secondly, this coating will have good performance in terms of strength and reliability. And, thirdly, the cost of arranging a concrete site will be much lower than laying paving slabs or calling a specialized company for asphalting the site. In general, everything suggests that a do-it-yourself concrete platform is an almost ideal solution for giving.

It is immediately worth noting that the proposed concrete site is of a modular type. Those. it will be filled in separate segments. It can be argued that a monolithic slab looks much better, and it is simpler in arrangement. But from a practical point of view, a modular concrete site in the country will be more reliable, durable and more adaptive to the environment.

Just think what will happen to the monolith after a few seasons! You yourself know very well that the ground walks. And for this reason, often even the foundations of houses crack. And then what can we say about a monolithic slab, which, thanks to such an effect, can crack all over in a year. Do not fill it below the freezing depth of the soil, as a foundation for a capital house? Of course not. It's expensive and not rational. Therefore, modular pouring of a concrete platform is the most optimal. In this case, the plates in the off-season will walk relative to each other. At the same time, it is worth noting that after several years of operation of such a site, it was noticed that in the spring (during the season of active melting) the plates move apart relative to each other by about 2-3 cm, and by the summer they converge again. The gap, of course, remains from 0.5 to 1 cm, but this is much better than a cracked slab.

How to make a concrete pad in the country

We will not dwell on choosing a place and drawing boundaries. It's obvious. Therefore, we turn to the process itself. First you need to remove the top layer of the earth. 5-10 cm is enough. Next, we compact the soil. Usually a sand cushion is made for this. In the case under consideration, a broken brick was used. In any case, for compaction, you will need a rammer, with which we ram sand or brick.

The next step is to make a crate along the perimeter of the future site and divide the interior space into segments. In this case, the dimensions of the site are 3x1.5 m. The width of one poured slab is 0.5 m. The length of adjacent rows is 0.5 m and 0.75 m each. Those. in the first row 0.5m, in the second - 0.75m, in the third - 0.5m, etc.

In the photo above, as you can see, the breakdown of rows into segments goes through the row. This is done in order to end up with a platform with minimal gaps. Next, you will understand how to achieve this.

Now fill all nonadjacent segments with concrete.

Do not forget to reinforce each individual block.

The end result is something like this:

When the flooded blocks dry up (in good weather, after about a couple of days), we disassemble the crate inside each row.

Next, we fill in the remaining blocks in each row of the concrete platform and now leave them to dry.

Now we have alternating filled and not filled rows. Next, you need to remove the jumpers between the rows and put the jumpers in each row not filled with concrete, dividing it into separate segments. We form concrete blocks in the same way as described above.

The result is such a concrete platform in the country:

As you can see, outwardly she looks very dignified. Its main drawback is that such a concrete platform with their own hands requires much more labor from the performer than pouring a monolithic slab. But trust me, it's worth it!

An important part of almost every suburban area or private city courtyard is the entrance group, which includes a platform in front of the entrance, a platform that will serve as a parking lot and a road leading to the garage.

Brief description of the elements of the entrance group

The platform used for entry is usually made in the form of a ramp. Its purpose is not only to facilitate the entry of a car, but also to prevent water from entering from adjacent areas. The ramp is made of a monolithic concrete slab. Its thickness is determined by the dimensions of the ramp and the loads it experiences. Basically, for this purpose, 150 mm thick slabs reinforced with one mesh are used. An expansion joint is arranged between the ramp slab and the horizontal slab located on the site. The seam is sealed with waterproofing material - hydrostekloizol.

Platforms for movement and parking of vehicles are made by monolithic concreting.

When building any structure, the question arises: which one to use?

Crushed stone is one of the most popular aggregates for concrete, due to its high strength and low price. Do you know the brand of crushed stone is needed for concrete?

Materials required for concreting a site for a car

To arrange the site on your own, it is advisable to use ready-made imported concrete mix.

You need to purchase concrete with a margin of 10% of the calculated volume.

To ensure fast laying of the concrete mixture, it is necessary to take care in advance that there are a sufficiently large number of guides necessary for leveling the laid concrete mixture. For these purposes, there are professional kits: vibration slats, trowels and laser levels. But in their absence, a private developer may well get by with improvised means. The main requirements for the material used for the guides are that it must be even and long. It can be rectangular profile pipes or wooden slats.

The diameter of the required reinforcement depends on the purpose of the structure being constructed. For a car platform, a mesh of reinforcement with a diameter of 6 mm with cells of 100x100 or 150x150 mm is quite enough.

Site concreting process

Concreting of the site for the car begins with the preparation of the base. For the base, it is better to choose non-porous soils.

It is advisable to carefully transfer the soil layer removed to a depth of about 250 mm to the garden or vegetable garden for further use.

With the help of twine and stakes, the location of the future parking lot for the car is marked.

Communication networks should not be located under the site selected for concreting. If this condition cannot be met, it is necessary to take care of protecting the networks by laying them in a box or case.

To prevent subsequent strong shrinkage, the selected place is leveled and rammed. A crushed stone-sand cushion is laid on the prepared base. Its thickness depends on the expected load. Initially, a layer of sand is laid, moistened and rammed. For a car site, it is on average 100 mm. In the same way, crushed stone is laid.

The next step in site construction is formwork. It is acceptable to use old boards with a width of about 80 mm.

To organize the flow of water when pouring the concrete mixture, plastic pipes are installed, which are subsequently dismantled.

The laid concrete mixture must be leveled with a rule or a trowel. The resulting concrete surface can be treated with iron. To do this, a thin layer of cement is poured onto raw concrete, which is distributed over the entire surface and rubbed with a foam or polyurethane float. This procedure is carried out the next day after concreting, when the site can be easily walked on. For ironing, you can use special mixtures.

Guide device

Consider two options for the manufacture of guides for concreting.

It is also possible to raise the reinforcement during concreting.

After installing the guides and checking their level and slope, the entire structure is strengthened. For this purpose, a small amount of concrete is prepared manually. In the form of pyramids, it is placed in the space between the reinforcing bars welded to the pipe. This action prevents subsidence of the pipe and strengthens the entire structure.

  • In the second option, the guides are made of concrete. First, the marking line is stretched so that its level is at the level of the future concrete surface. On both sides of the fishing line, formwork is made of boards or pipes. The distance between the formwork elements is 80-120 mm. At the work site, a certain amount of concrete mixture is prepared, which is placed in the formwork to a height limited by the fishing line. After the mixture has set, the formwork is dismantled and moved to another place where the next concrete guide is made.

The gap between the guides depends on the width of the machine that will deliver the bulk of the concrete to the construction site. The minimum distance is 2.7 meters.

The independent arrangement of car sites or outdoor recreation areas will significantly save material resources, and the result of the labor expended will bring pleasure and benefit for many years.
