What are they made of

Today, silk is rarely used due to its high price, and cotton and linen are used only in combination with synthetic fibers. In its pure form, natural fibers quickly become dirty, turn gray, and even lose their shape and size when washed (shrink or stretch).

Modern tulle is made mainly of polyester, polyamide and mixed fibers. To obtain a smooth surface, polyamide threads are used. They are strong and resilient. Patterns on such a base are applied using polyamide threads. They are soft and look good in embroidery.

In addition, you need to choose the color, as well as the presence of patterns. Here it is already necessary to pay attention to. Many of them are very categorical in this sense. For example, for a minimalist or hi-tech style, only plain tulle without a pattern is suitable. It can be colored, but the colors for these styles are white, gray. There may be others, but it all depends on the overall design.

For another popular trend - Provence - it is possible to use colorful material. But you have to be careful not to overdo it. If the curtains are bought with flowers, it is better to use plain tulle. It may have flowers, but the same color.

Most often in the bedrooms you can see tulle of neutral colors - white and its shades, light gray or pale beige, creamy. It is understandable: relaxation is required and the best background for this is neutral. But sometimes such monotony bothers. In this case, you can play with color.
