DURING THE CLASSES

Setting the goal of the lesson. Epigraph work.

“Everyone has their own fairy tale in life…”

Literature teacher ( W.L.) reads the epigraph. - What are fairy tales?

Students ( y.) give different answers

W.L. - How often do you look at the sky, admire the stars?

y. answer

W.L. - If a person "in his whole life has never smelled a flower, never looked at a star, never loved anyone, he is not a man, he is a mushroom." We are now in fairyland. VIDEO CLIP FOR THE SONG “LITTLE PRINCE”

W.L. - Today we will get acquainted with an unusual book - a fairy tale by a French writer with the beautiful name Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

The student gives a curriculum vitae and the presentation begins.

Biographical note. Exupery was born in 1900 in Lyon to an aristocratic family. When he was 12 years old, he first flew on an airplane, but this has not yet become the main thing in his life for him. During World War II he became a military pilot. On July 31, 1944, reconnaissance pilot Exupery, having taken off on a mission, did not return from a combat flight. Missing. But the name of the writer spread all over the world and went into immortality. He was a writer and a pilot at the same time. “For me, writing and flying are one and the same.”

W.L. - The fairy tale "The Little Prince" Exupery wrote a few months before his death. This work became his writing testament. At first glance, this is an ordinary fairy tale about how a boy travels through a fabulous galaxy. But is it? Let's go along with the Little Prince on this journey and see what Exupery bequeathed to us.

Pupils talk about the life of the Little Prince on his planet.

U. - He firmly learned the rule: "get up in the morning, wash, put yourself in order - and immediately put your planet in order." Every day the Little Prince cleaned the volcano and pulled out the sprouts of the baobabs.

W. – The little prince tells that if the baobab is not recognized in time, then it will not get rid of it later. He will take over the entire planet, and his roots can tear it to shreds.

W.L. This story is metaphorical. According to Exupery, the most terrible baobab is fascism. Also, in every person there are seeds of the “bad weed”. If you do not recognize the sprouts of evil in yourself in time, then you can pay dearly for this later.

Group work. Planet announcement.

1 planet - THE KING'S VISIT. The students conclude: “Everyone should be asked what he can give. The government must be reasonable."

2 planet - VISIT AN AMBITIONER. Conclusion: Vain people are deaf to everything but praise.

3 planet - VISITING A DRUNKER. Conclusion: Each person must find the strength to change himself, if necessary.

4 planet - VISIT BUSINESS PERSON. Conclusion: If a person considers his main advantage that he is serious and businesslike, and is only busy with business, his life has been lived in vain.

5 planet - VISIT TO THE LAMPLIGHTER. Conclusion: You need to be true to your word and think not only about yourself.

W.L. “And here is the Little Prince on earth. What disappointment befell him here?

U. - he saw hundreds of thousands of roses, and cried. “But his beauty told him that there are no others like her in the whole Universe.”

W.L. - Then the Little Prince met the Fox, who revealed his most important secret to him. What wisdom does he give us?

W. - to become a friend, you need to be tamed. "You are always responsible for the one you tamed."

W. - The little prince realized that his Rose was not at all like the others, because only to her did he give a particle of his heart. He tamed her and is now responsible for her.

W.L. How do you understand the word "tame"?

U. - it is necessary not only to give food to a living being, but to understand it, to make it happy with you, so that you bring him happiness. To tame means to give away a piece of your heart.

U. - The fox said: “Only the heart is vigilant. You can’t see the most important thing with your eyes.”

W.L. - Exupery teaches us to hear the soul of a person walking with you through life, touching heart to heart, and to love those whom we have tamed.

W.L. - How does the story end?

U. - The pilot and the Little Prince are parting. The little prince needs to return to his planet to Rosa, and for this he asks the snake to bite him. He must leave earthly life.

W.L. This book is a testament. What did Exupery bequeath to us? (Slide show with aphorisms).

Discussion of statements by students. Pupils independently choose an epigraph for the lesson, explain their choice.

W.L. “I will tell you a secret. This book can be read at any age. A very small child perceives it as a fairy tale. She made us think about very serious life issues. If you read it when you are older, this tale will open up to you in a different way. Because this is a wise parable about love and fidelity, about friendship and self-sacrifice, kindness and beauty.

Show a slide with the image of the monument to the writer.

W.L. - Why did the sculptor depict Exupery seated?

W.L. - Exupery said: "I wrote to tell my generation: you are the inhabitants of one planet, passengers of one ship."

Homework. Fill in the blank sheets and write an essay-review about Exupery's fairy tale "The Little Prince".

Having enrolled her daughter in a prestigious school, the woman overloads the baby with summer activities and demands that she spend all the holidays with books and notebooks. At first, the girl diligently follows her mother's instructions, but then she discovers that an elderly aviator lives in a neighboring house, trying to fix an archaic biplane. Having made friends with the old man and neglecting classes for the sake of communicating with him, the girl learns from the pilot the story of how many years ago he met the Little Prince in the Sahara desert, who flew to Earth from a distant asteroid.

The French animation studio ON Animation Studios, also known for the cartoon "Keeper of the Moon", worked on the picture.

One of the most famous books on our planet, "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is on the shelves of children's literature. Formally, this is correct, but in fact - no. The Prince is addressed more to adults than to children, and the real appreciation of this book usually begins in high school. "Prince" is not a fascinating adventure, but a metaphorical parable and philosophical reflection, albeit disguised as a fairy tale. You need to understand a lot about life and about yourself in order to fully comprehend the ideas of an outstanding Frenchman.

The puppet animation for the cartoon was created by director Jamie Caliri, who received an Emmy award in 2010 for the opening theme of the television series "Tara So Different"

All this, of course, complicates the life of filmmakers, but in no case gives the right to treat the "Prince" the way he was treated by French and Canadian animators who worked on a new cartoon based on the book. Not only did they turn the Prince and the Aviator into minor characters in their own story to make room for a girl who didn’t even have a name (Prince and Aviator can still be capitalized, but Girl is overkill). They also significantly reduced the original narrative and distorted it!

The Little Prince cannot be reduced to a couple of phrases. But if you nevertheless try to do this, then we can say that the French writer, first of all, devoted his book to a childish view of things, pure and unfiltered. However, a childish view of things has nothing to do with childishness. Let's remember what the Prince does in the story. Does he carelessly play? Nothing like this. He weeds out baobabs, takes care of Rose, explores the solar system, makes friends with the Fox and the Aviator ... Throughout the story, he commits only one irresponsible act - he abandons Rose and his asteroid. And it gnaws at him so much that he takes a terrible risk to return home.

In other words, The Little Prince celebrates responsibility, curiosity, willingness to learn and work. The film adaptation, created by the director of "Kung Fu Panda" Mark Osborne, comes down to the words from the song of the Soviet years: "We are small children, we want to walk." The young heroine is preparing for classes at a school where she did not pass the interview (Did the girl still go to school because the family moved to the school district)? “Give up this boring business,” the film advises her. - Hang out with a senile old man who almost killed you when you first met, deceive your mother, skimp on your studies ... And then get on a plane that you don’t know how to fly and fly in search of the Prince. Because in our story, the Prince is a pathetic scumbag who can't save himself." And this despite the fact that de Saint-Exupery, in one of the first paragraphs of The Prince, remarks that school geography classes were very useful to him in life. For a pilot, a map is the most important thing!

Yes, Osborne's cartoon is a children's story that is not without fascination. Yes, the Girl's mother goes too far when she demands that she study almost around the clock. And yes, children have a right to a childhood. But de Saint-Exupery wrote about something completely different! The book teaches responsibility, but the film teaches irresponsibility (The Girl and the Aviator meet when a blown-off biplane propeller breaks through the wall of the Girl's house, and this is served as a cute prank). The book glorifies the work of the lamplighters, while the film humiliates the cleaners. Like, their work is miserable and unworthy. The book notes that learning is most useful when book knowledge is combined with practical knowledge. The film also accuses book knowledge almost of zombifying children. Not a single good word about textbooks can be expected from him. And if there are “strange” characters in the book (from the point of view of the Prince), but no negative ones, then at the climax of the film, the brave heroine confronts the sinister Businessman and the Vain Man in order to save the Prince from them. Accordingly, the picture ends with a series of action scenes, although de Saint-Exupery has nothing of the kind!

It would be much better if the authors of the tape were not wiser and drew a cartoon as simple as a felt boot about a nerd girl who, with the help of a new acquaintance, acquires a craving for adventure and performs a feat against malicious big business. But, of course, they wanted to join one of the main "brands" of French literature. And it turned out that the scenes of The Little Prince used in the cartoon are about the elder, and the story of the Girl is about the uncle. And it would be nice if "Prince" de Saint-Exupery entered the whole picture - but no, only half of the book got into the cartoon. The same lamplighters are not mentioned in the picture, although an asteroid with a lantern still flies across the screen. Apparently, as a mockery of those who hoped that if the film was called "The Little Prince", then all the adventures of the title character would get into the frame.

With graphics and animation, on the other hand, the cartoon is all right. The scenes taken from the book are especially charming, as they are rendered with elegant puppet animation. However, the main, computer part of the "Prince" also deserves praise. It's a shame that you can't say the same about the script of the tape - it annoys more than it pleases.

“After all, all adults were children at first, only few of them remember this.”

This book can be read in 30 minutes, but this fact did not prevent the book from becoming a world classic. The author of the story is the French writer, poet and professional pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupery. This allegorical story is the most famous work of the author. It was first published in 1943 (April 6) in New York. It is interesting that the drawings in the book were made by the author himself and became no less famous than the book itself.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint-Exupery(French Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint-Exup?ry; June 29, 1900, Lyon, France - July 31, 1944) - a famous French writer, poet and professional pilot.

To a summary of the story

At the age of six, the boy read about how a boa constrictor swallows its prey, and drew a snake that swallowed an elephant. It was a drawing of a boa constrictor on the outside, but the adults claimed it was a hat. Adults always need to explain everything, so the boy made another drawing - a boa constrictor from the inside. Then the adults advised the boy to give up this nonsense - according to them, he should have done more geography, history, arithmetic and spelling. So the boy abandoned a brilliant career as an artist. He had to choose another profession: he grew up and became a pilot, but still showed his first drawing to those adults who seemed to him more reasonable and understanding than the rest, and everyone answered that it was a hat. It was impossible to talk heart to heart with them - about boas, jungles and stars. And the pilot lived alone until he met the Little Prince.

This happened in the Sahara. Something broke in the plane's engine: the pilot had to fix it or die, because there was only water left for a week. At dawn, the pilot was awakened by a thin voice - a tiny baby with golden hair, unknown how he got into the desert, asked him to draw a lamb for him. The astonished pilot did not dare to refuse, especially since his new friend was the only one who managed to make out in the first drawing a boa constrictor that had swallowed an elephant. Gradually it turned out that the Little Prince came from a planet called "asteroid B-612" - of course, the number is only needed for boring adults who love numbers.

The whole planet was the size of a house, and the Little Prince had to take care of her: every day to clean three volcanoes - two active and one extinct, and also weed out baobab sprouts. The pilot did not immediately understand the danger baobabs pose, but then he guessed and, in order to warn all the children, he drew a planet where a lazy person lived, who did not weed out three bushes in time. But the Little Prince always put his planet in order. But his life was sad and lonely, so he loved to watch the sunset - especially when he was sad. He did this several times a day, simply by moving his chair to follow the sun. Everything changed when a wonderful flower appeared on his planet: it was a beauty with thorns - proud, touchy and ingenuous. The little prince fell in love with her, but she seemed to him capricious, cruel and arrogant - he was then too young and did not understand how this flower lit up his life. And so the Little Prince cleaned his volcanoes for the last time, pulled out the sprouts of baobabs, and then said goodbye to his flower, which only at the moment of farewell admitted that he loved him.

He went on a journey and visited six neighboring asteroids. The king lived on the first: he wanted to have subjects so much that he offered the Little Prince to become a minister, and the kid thought that adults were a very strange people. On the second planet lived an ambitious on third- drunkard on the fourth- a business man fifth- lamplighter. All adults seemed extremely strange to the Little Prince, and only he liked the Lamplighter: this man remained faithful to the agreement to light the lamps in the evenings and extinguish the lanterns in the mornings, although his planet was so reduced that day and night changed every minute. Don't be so small here. The little prince would have stayed with the Lamplighter, because he really wanted to make friends with someone - besides, on this planet you could admire the sunset one thousand four hundred and forty times a day!

A geographer lived on the sixth planet. And since he was a geographer, he was supposed to ask travelers about the countries where they came from in order to write down their stories in books. The little prince wanted to tell about his flower, but the geographer explained that only mountains and oceans are written in books, because they are eternal and unchanging, and flowers do not live long. Only then did the Little Prince realize that his beauty would soon disappear, and he left her alone, without protection and help! But the insult has not yet passed, and the Little Prince went on, but he thought only of his abandoned flower.

Earth was with food- a very difficult planet! Suffice it to say that there are one hundred and eleven kings, seven thousand geographers, nine hundred thousand businessmen, seven and a half million drunkards, three hundred and eleven million ambitious people - a total of about two billion adults. But the Little Prince made friends only with the snake, the Fox and the pilot. The snake promised to help him when he bitterly regrets his planet. And Fox taught him to be friends. Everyone can tame someone and become his friend, but you always need to be responsible for those whom you have tamed. And the Fox also said that only the heart is vigilant - you cannot see the most important thing with your eyes. Then the Little Prince decided to return to his rose, because he was responsible for it. He went to the desert - to the very place where he fell. So they met the pilot. The pilot drew him a lamb in a box and even a muzzle for a lamb, although he used to think that he could only draw boas - inside and out. The little prince was happy, but the pilot felt sad - he realized that he was also tamed. Then the Little Prince found a yellow snake, whose bite kills in half a minute: she helped him, as promised. The snake can return everyone to where he came from - she returns people to the earth, and she returned the Little Prince to the stars. The kid told the pilot that it would only look like death, so there is no need to be sad - let the pilot remember him, looking at the night sky. And when the Little Prince laughs, it will seem to the pilot that all the stars are laughing like five hundred million bells.

The pilot fixed his plane and his comrades rejoiced at his return. Since then six years have passed: little by little he was comforted and fell in love with looking at the stars. But he is always excited: he forgot to draw a muzzle strap, and the lamb could eat the rose. Then it seems to him that all the bells are crying. After all, if the rose is no longer in the world, everything will be different, but no adult will ever understand how important this is.

Composition Saint-Exupery A. - The Little Prince

Topic: - “You can’t see the most important thing with your eyes” (based on the fairy tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery “The Little Prince”) (2)

"The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is a fairy tale. A fairy tale for adults, but with a childish intonation. The author needs a childish intonation in order to realize his philosophical idea. Children are wisely ingenuous, their humanity has not yet put on "distorting glasses". The childish attitude to nature and man is the opposite of the seriousness of adults, which is just a habitual way to pervert the world and man.
An adult pilot who had to make an emergency landing in the Sahara Desert found himself completely isolated from other people, there was no housing around for thousands of miles, he had no one to talk to. But what was his surprise when at dawn he was awakened by someone's thin voice ... So the pilot met an unusual baby - the Little Prince. Every day he learned “something new about his planet, about how he left it and how he traveled”, and truths that adults had long ceased to pay attention to were rediscovered.
Deciding to travel, the Little Prince met with many things and people completely incomprehensible to him: the king, who did not tolerate disobedience, loved power. But kings do not own anything, they only reign, so power is meaningless. As well as vanity and ambition, which the Little Prince saw in the ambitious. It is foolish to praise and respect a person for nothing. A bitter drunkard drinks in order to forget that he is ashamed to drink. It's also pointless. A business person has an incalculable number of stars that cannot be useful to him. The soulless geographer fixes everything that is permanent and does not consider important what disappears. The lamplighter seems to be busy with work, but for some reason does not want to make his work easier.
The little prince was looking for people, but it turned out that it’s not good without people, and it’s bad with people. And what adults do is completely incomprehensible to him. The meaningless has strength, but the truthful and beautiful seems weak. All the best that is in a person - tenderness, responsiveness, truthfulness, sincerity, the ability to make friends makes a person weak. But in such a world turned upside down, the Little Prince also encountered the real truth that the Fox revealed to him. The fact that people can be not only indifferent and alienated, but also necessary to each other, and someone for someone can be the only one in the whole world, and a person’s life “is like the sun will light up” if something reminds of friend, and this will also be happiness.
The fox revealed his secret to the Little Prince: “Only the heart is vigilant. You can’t see the most important thing with your eyes.” The little prince remembered: "Someone is dear because you gave him all the days", "You are forever responsible for the one you tamed." The relationship of affection or love Fox calls "domestication." And these relationships open the way to the knowledge of the real truth: only by loving can you know correctly. Only a loving heart can distinguish the false and unreal in a person from the true and natural. But, on the other hand, the heart will never be able to answer why evil nonsense prevails in a person and where its strength and power come from. The heart tells the Little Prince that what the eyes see is not true, but it is slightly mistaken. Still, the eyes - the experience and mind of a person - can help explain what seems meaningless to the heart.
The tale of the Little Prince ends sadly. The hero is sad about the lost harmony in life and love, but there is no way back. It is impossible to return to childhood, it remains in the past forever. But the Little Prince has no way forward, he cannot defeat evil and inhumanity only with the help of his spiritual warmth and light, and he can only die.
In his fairy tale, the author seeks to explain to us that you cannot see the most important thing with your eyes, but with your heart and mind you must. Saint-Exupery said: “Truth is simplicity. Why argue about ideologies? Any of them can be supported by evidence, and they all contradict each other, and from these disputes you only lose all hope of saving people. But people around us everywhere and everywhere strive for the same thing.

In the story-tale "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, it is about a boy who sees the world around him differently than ordinary people. This work begins with the author's dedication to his best friend, Leon Werth.

Even at the age of six, the author of the story saw in the book an image of a boa constrictor swallowing a victim, being impressed by the picture, he decided to draw it. But adults misunderstood the work of the child, seeing an ordinary hat in the picture.

The boy did not lose heart and decided to once again prove his vision by depicting an elephant inside a snake. This time the adults did not understand him at all, they asked him not to draw anything else at all, but to engage in the exact sciences. The author of the fairy tale-story grew up, he never became an artist, he chose another profession - a pilot. And for a long time stubbornly, but to no avail, he tried to find those who could understand him.

Six years ago, our author-pilot was forced to land in the Sahara. It was here that a meeting with an amazing little man took place, who asked to draw a lamb for him. The author honestly admitted to the kid that not everything was going smoothly with his drawing and showed that ill-fated drawing to prove his words. Oddly enough, but the stranger easily identified what is shown in the picture, he did not see any hat there. True, the elephant and the boa constrictor seemed to him dangerous animals, and he asked to draw just a tiny lamb.

The pilot had to make several sketches, but the kid did not like any of them. This occupation ended with the fact that the author depicted a box, inside of which, according to him, is exactly the lamb that the child so dreamed of seeing.

After talking with the Little Prince, the pilot guessed that he had flown from the tiny asteroid B 612.

The fourth day brought a new discovery. The little prince said that he loves to watch sunsets.

On the fifth day, an unpleasant event occurred - the boy was moved to tears, because he was afraid that the lamb would eat his favorite flower, not even being afraid of its thorns.

In general, all the flowers on the planet of the Little Prince were small and inconspicuous. Their main feature is that, blooming in the morning, by the evening they have already faded. And one day a new sprout appeared, which after a while turned into a beautiful flower - a rose, distinguished by pride. The little prince was annoyed at the charming whim, but soon realized that you need to love the Rose for her unique and incomparable smell.

Before going on a trip, the boy did the cleaning - he cleaned the volcanoes. He was so detailed in all matters, albeit small.

The first asteroid that the kid landed on introduced him to a reasonable king who does not require from his subordinates what they could not do.

But on the second planet lived an ambitious man. The little prince treated him with great respect. On the third planet, the acquaintance was less pleasant - there lived a drunkard.

A business man lived on the fourth asteroid. Having delved into the addition of numbers, he could not immediately be distracted and did not even remember what and why he was counting. This business man called himself the owner of the stars, but he could not coherently explain what the use of the stars was and why they were needed.

The fifth planet was the smallest in size. Here the traveler made acquaintance with the lamplighter. The whole life of this man consisted in the fact that he lit and extinguished a lantern.

The sixth asteroid was huge. The old man living on it was fond of geography and wrote multi-page books. It was he who told the Little Prince that there is a planet Earth and advised to visit it.

What did the traveler see on our planet? It turned out that many of those whom he had already met lived on it. There are drunkards, and kings, and those who light lanterns, and the total mass of the population is two billion people.

The little prince is in the desert. Crossing it, he started a conversation with an inconspicuous flower, who shared with him his opinion about people. He saw them as part of a caravan passing by one day.

The traveler wanted to greet the people and climbed the mountain. From there you can see the sharp rocks. And there was nothing else in the area. The little prince searched for a way for a long time and finally came across a garden in which a huge number of roses grew. The kid was upset by the realization of the fact that his favorite is not the only and unique. This discovery again turned into tears. At that moment, Fox appeared.

The little prince wanted to play with the animal, but in order to do this, you must first tame the beast. This process is not complicated - to come at the same time and move closer every day.

The boy quickly tamed the Fox, but he could not stay on the ground for a long time and again got ready to go. At parting, the beast revealed to him an important secret: a person must be responsible for those whom he tamed.

The pilot finished his water and decided to stop the story of the extraordinary man he met. The author told the prince that he would have to die. The kid wanted to drink, and together they went to the spring. When the child fell asleep, the author picked him up and went on.

On the way they met a well, and the boy wanted to drink water from it. The little prince did not respond to questions, remained indifferent and sad. The author realized that he wanted to return home. For this, he even persuaded the snake to poison him with poison.

The boy nevertheless returned to his native planet, taking with him the memory of the well. He also left a memory of himself - laughter.

For six long years, the pilot did not tell anyone about this amazing acquaintance. But all the time he looked at the sky and remembered the little extraordinary man, wondering how his friend the Little Prince lives there.
