A private garden is the best place to relax and work. In order to have a good rest in nature, mankind has come up with many types of different devices, for example, a swing or a hammock. The best comfortable piece of furniture can be considered a chair. But one addition can be made to its design that will make it more convenient. Such a model helps to relax all the muscles of the body, and slow and monotonous rocking encourages long reflections.

The design of the rocking chair has gained immense popularity in the world. That is why, since its invention, many rocking chair options. Masters say that making a chair with your own hands is quite simple.

What rocking chairs exist for giving

To make a universal model of a rocking chair for a summer residence, a willow vine will be needed. The unique and simple design will look great against the backdrop of a variety of greenery and go well with the decor of a gazebo or country house. The main disadvantage of such a durable and lightweight piece of furniture can be considered the fear of a large amount of moisture.

Rattan is a very flexible liana. which grows in Asian countries. This plant is also used to weave unique and beautiful rocking chairs. Their beauty is not inferior to willow products, but the strength is much worse. Fastening materials made of metal are not used in the manufacture of rattan furniture. It is customary to make connections only with the help of high-quality knitting and glue for wood.

When it comes to the durability and high strength of a rocking chair, models made of metal parts are the best example. A unique lace chair is able to decorate absolutely any suburban area. Rocking chairs should be used not only as furniture for a country house. The main advantage of the product for office work is considered to be its solidity and representativeness. Now there are models of rocking chairs from famous designers, which are made in various modern styles.

Many modern designs of these pieces of furniture have special uniqueness. Together with conventional models of rocking chairs, they can guarantee their owner great comfort and independence from conventional energy sources. A similar piece of furniture, which is equipped with small solar panels, makes it possible to spend your free time with benefit and comfort.

How to make a rocking chair with your own hands

The armchair in its design has much in common with the sofa. When a lot of pillows are placed on such a piece of furniture or a blanket is thrown over, it is impossible to find anything better for relaxing in a country house. Next, the process of assembling a rocking chair from plywood with your own hands will be described in detail.

DIY rocking chair tools

Making a unique rocking chair is quite simple. By purchasing good materials and having the right tools, you can assemble this piece of furniture yourself in a small amount of time. To assemble a rocking chair you will need the following tools:

A good organization of the assembly process assumes that absolutely all the necessary tools will be located near the workplace.

DIY rocking chair: drawings

Every responsible work must begin with detailed drawing, which is needed in order not to be mistaken in the required amount of building materials. And also a high-quality drawing can be easily found on the net. On a special metric grid with a step of no more than 10 centimeters, there is a template for the side parts of the rocking chair. The best option would be to transfer the drawing to a large sheet of paper and make a pattern, with which it will be convenient to transfer the outline of the product to plywood.

In this work, small inaccuracies can be tolerated. But all sidewalls must necessarily be the same. There should be no protruding corners on the lower rolling side of the rocking chair.

Making blanks for a rocking chair made of wood

To make special tsargovy screeds and sidewalls, plywood of the highest class with a thickness of at least 3 centimeters will be needed. The side elements should be cut with an electric jigsaw according to the pattern made. Three tsars should have a size of 810 by 125 millimeters.

Next, it is worth cutting blanks from wooden blocks, which in the future will make up the surface of the back and seat of a unique chair. For this purpose, a wooden beam measuring 50 by 25 millimeters is well suited. From it you need to cut 36 blanks of 1250 millimeters. Before you buy the material you need for work, you should find out what the standard length of a wooden beam is in the nearest hardware store.

The total length of the beam, which is needed for the manufacture of the product, is quite simply calculated on the calculator. It is necessary to observe the multiplicity so that when cutting the workpieces, a small amount of the remaining material remains. In this case, the best solution would be to reduce the size of the rocking chair. For example, if the standard length of a wooden beam is 2.5 meters, then one workpiece will be 1240 millimeters, because it is necessary to subtract the thickness of the cut and further processing.

With fasteners, everything is much easier. To make a wooden rocking chair you will need:

  • 14 special confirmations measuring 5 by 125 millimeters;
  • 150 wood screws 4 x 50 mm.

In this way, preparatory stage can be considered completed. However, it will still be necessary to work hard to make a unique rocking chair. Additionally, you may need the following materials:

  • high-quality drying oil;
  • varnish for wood;
  • liquid putty;
  • antiseptic against a variety of pests.

Processing the details of the future rocking chair

Next, you can start sanding the manufactured elements of the chair and removing small chamfers from them. When the grinder has great power and there is experience with it, then such a process does not take much time. Given that the furniture will often be in the open air, it is worth pay great attention to the ends of the parts to ensure their protection from moisture, which will constantly affect them.

All ends of the blanks must be well saturated with hot drying oil, and the longitudinal fibers of the wood on them should be slightly flattened with a hammer. Thus, moisture will not cause much harm to the rocking chair. This procedure for the ends of the product must be carried out several times.

Assembling a homemade chair

This type of country furniture does not have certain standards and assembly rules. Special holes for the drawers should be marked so that it is convenient to assemble the rocking chair. The main elements of a comfortable chair are:

  • headboard;
  • outer arc;
  • sidewalls;
  • foot.

Special drawers fastened to the sidewalls with euro screws. To do this job, you need to make high-quality markings on the sidewalls, and then combine the two sidewalls. Further, in their planes it is worth drilling a through hole with a wood drill with a diameter of 8 millimeters. To make holes in the end of the tsarg, it is necessary to use a wood drill with a diameter of 6 millimeters. Now you need to pull the frame of the product with the help of confirmations.

Next, you need to make holes in the wooden blocks that will form the back and seat of the rocking chair. There should be 35 blanks. It is necessary to make 4 through holes in each bar. As a result, it should get 140 identical holes. To simplify this work, it is worth using a special conductor. This is the name of a device for marking a large number of identical products.

Making it is pretty easy. A small piece of wooden beam is taken, but not less than 300 millimeters long. It is necessary to drill through holes for the template in it, the diameter of which must correspond to the size of the construction pencil for marking. From the end and side of such a device, you need to nail small pieces of plywood, which will act as a limiter. This will prevent you from making mistakes when marking holes.

Such a conductor can be used to mark through holes, but it is absolutely impossible to drill through it, since the template holes will be broken with a drill and the workpieces will have to be re-marked. However, you can use a 4 x 35 mm wood drill with a countersink. In this case, it is possible to make a through hole of the size you need in the marked part.

There must be a gap between the wooden blocks at least 17 millimeters. To avoid distortions, it is necessary to mark on the sidewalls of the product a distance corresponding to 6 bars together with the necessary intervals, and additionally check the matching of the templates in size. When they completely match, then you can continue to assemble the rocking chair. If the sizes do not match, it is worth making adjustments to the blanks. A modern self-tapping screw for wood fixes euro plywood well. However, if we take into account the fact that the fastening frequency is very large, then it is necessary to use a wood drill with a diameter of 3 mm.

Rocking chair finishing

It is necessary to carefully putty holes from self-tapping screws. Further, it is necessary to treat the product with a special antiseptic and cover it several times with waterproof varnish. This work should be done very carefully and carefully. After thorough drying of the rocking chair, you can begin to use it.

How to make a metal rocking chair yourself: drawings

Metal is pretty difficult to process material. When there is no experience in forging or specific equipment for the production of bent products, then only simple rocking chairs will be available for self-assembly. However, their design can be quite interesting. First, a product frame is assembled from a metal corner or profile.

Further, all blanks must be treated with an anti-corrosion compound. Hammer paints are very popular now. The decoration decor depends on the preferences of the master. For example, the seat can be made of wooden planks or covered with a soft cloth. To decorate a rocking chair, it is worth making small pillows for the back and seat, and on top cover everything with a large removable cover. Sometimes a metal frame is braided with a large amount of willow vines. For this work, theoretical skills in wicker weaving will be required, which are worth learning from the numerous videos on the net.

Everyone associates a rocking chair with comfort and coziness, and you immediately want to sit in it by the fireplace in a country house with a cup of hot coffee. This is a very beautiful and original interior element that fits into almost any style. In addition, swinging on a chair is good for health. So you can relax, relieve stress, gain strength, calmly read your favorite book, listen to music or just take a nap. You can make a rocking chair with your own hands from wood, consider examples with photos, drawings and the progress of work using several technologies.

Features of wood structures

Most often, furniture is made of wood, so the rocking chair is no exception. Why do many people choose this particular material:

What makes this chair attractive?

Types of armchairs

There are many different models of chairs, all of them can differ in their functionality, dimensions, style, materials and the presence of additional gadgets. We always choose furniture based on our preferences and habits, and the rocking chair is no exception.

Consider several options for the design of rocking chairs:

Work technology

To figure out how to make a rocking chair with your own hands from wood according to the drawings and the right dimensions, you need to purchase all the necessary materials and tools:

  • Screwdriver.
  • Paint brush for filling fastener holes.
  • Hammer.
  • Straight corner with a ruler.
  • Disc grinding machine.
  • Self-tapping screws.
  • Electric jigsaw for cutting blanks.
  • Clamp.

1 way

To create a rocking chair, you can use an ordinary chair by shortening its legs and attaching this structure to the skids. To make the appearance attractive, the chair can be braided with leather or plastic ribbons. If desired, you can also sew a rocking chair cover yourself.

To make the structure more interesting in shape, sidewalls can be cut out of plywood according to a pre-calculated pattern. The edges of the plywood should be well finished.

plywood edges

Then we connect the two resulting parts to each other using three bars (30 * 50 * 600 mm).

To lay out the upper part, we use thin boards and plywood planks (10 * 50 * 600 mm).

In some cases, the length can be increased so that the slats protrude beyond the edges of the sidewalls. After assembling the chair, it can be varnished or painted.

2 way

We begin the process of creating a rocking chair with a drawing. For a quality result, a sketch is required. In addition, we can save ourselves from strong errors in the calculation of the amount of material.

Work technique:

3 way

We will assemble a rocking chair according to the drawing, using high-quality types of wood. As a basis, we use an ordinary wooden chair. All parts will be mounted at right angles, so you do not need to cut out many additional elements.

Now you can create a rocking chair yourself and please your household. The main thing to remember is that the product can be scratched, and the material will quickly age and lose its appearance. Therefore, always treat the chair with varnish so that it pleases you with its beauty for a long time and creates comfort in the house.

A rocking chair is the most comfortable piece of furniture that is designed for home relaxation. Such a product is expensive, and not everyone can afford to buy it. In order not to spend money on the purchase of a product, you can design and make a rocking chair with your own hands. A beautiful and original self-assembly product will become a central decoration in your home interior.

How to design correctly

There are several types of rocking chairs that suit different needs and habits of users. The first models that appeared in everyday life were equipped with simple arcs and skis. Do-it-yourself rocking chairs can be made according to the finished drawing. But you need to know that these drawings were created for an individual person and may not suit others. First of all, the product should be comfortable and meet your own needs.

If the family consists of 3-4 people, then the design of the chair is designed for the heaviest and tallest member of the family.

What you need to know when designing a product:

  1. In the manufacture of the chair, it is required to take into account that the center of gravity of the rocking chair must be correctly located in relation to the center of the rocking circle. Then the product will be comfortable and stable.
  2. A rocking chair made of wood will not move if these two points converge at one.
  3. The product will be unstable if the center of gravity moves higher in relation to the center of the circle.

How to choose material and design

The material for the chair is chosen depending on the interior of the room in which it will stand, and financial capabilities. Design and choice of material:

  • Wicker products have a beautiful appearance and are the most popular models. They are expensive, because they are woven by hand from rattan and cane. Models made from Indonesian rattan are very durable and of good quality. These are elegant, comfortable and environmentally friendly products. Thanks to good depreciation, they are able to withstand any weight. They are often installed on balconies and loggias of a country house.
  • The frame for rocking chairs is made of a profile pipe, metal or wood. Plywood is often used. The metal frame is combined with natural materials such as rattan. These products are highly durable and can withstand a lot of weight. To make them comfortable to sit on, the back and seat are made of plastic pipes.
  • The most budgetary are products made from wood. They are less durable, but have a beautiful appearance. A classic armchair made of wood with your own hands will look incomparable in a living room with a fireplace.

The comfort and smoothness of the rocking of the chair depends on the runners (skis). They can be made in two ways:

  • According to the drawing, 2 blanks are cut out of plywood and polished. The thickness of the plywood must be at least 15 mm. Skis must be installed in the grooves symmetrically with respect to each other. To do this, grooves are made in the legs of the product. Their depth should be from 7 to 10 cm. In the place where the legs of the chair and skis adjoin each other, through holes are cut through. A wooden spike is inserted into them, having previously lubricated the holes with glue.
  • For the manufacture of skis, 2 square bars 1 m long and 45 mm thick are used. It cuts the grooves into which the legs of the chair will be inserted. To give the runners the necessary shape, the bars are soaked in hot water. When they soften, the material will become elastic and slightly arched. When the skis are dry, they are installed on the legs. The parts are fixed with glue, so all joints are pre-lubricated with a substance.

What do you do with old furniture?

A successful invention for those who appreciate the opportunity to relax and unwind without leaving home is a rocking chair. And if you put it in the garden, you can enjoy doubly.

The traditional material for such chairs is willow vine and its analogue - rattan. Products made from this material weigh little, are distinguished by the elegance of lines and a solid price.

Modern materials can also be used in the manufacture of wicker chairs - there are options from synthetic wicker. They are no worse than natural, absolutely not afraid of moisture and have a very long service life.

Armchairs made of metal, despite the reliability and plasticity of the material, are too heavy. A wrought iron chair will look great in the garden, but you will have to make a platform for it. In addition, certain skills are needed to work with metal; it is difficult for a beginner to make a metal chair.

Affordability and attractive appearance of plastic chairs. To these advantages, you can add resistance to wet weather, durability, bright non-fading color. In addition, they do not have to be repainted and processed.

For self-production, wood is best suited - an inexpensive, easy-to-work material. At the end of the work, the wooden chair can be given any color or its texture can be preserved. For those who first thought about making furniture on their own, wood is best suited.

There are many models for home craftsmen, the simplest ones are presented below.

When developing a homemade rocking chair, the main thing is that it does not tip over when the seated one leans back. It is also important that the rocking process itself, for which the chair was made, does not force the person to strain too much.

Types of rocking chairs

The simplest type is armchairs built according to the radius principle. These are the most affordable products for self-manufacturing, they are distinguished by the simplicity of manufacturing technology and design. The model below has a somewhat heavy and awkward look, such a chair is suitable for the garden.

Armchairs of this type are made with a fairly low seating position, which ensures smooth rocking and safety of the seated person. If the seat is set to a normal height, then the chair runners are equipped with bumpers - swing amplitude limiters. To get up from such a chair, you need to make a physical effort. Yes, and the buildup itself requires some tension.

Much more stable chairs on skids of variable curvature, they do not tip over.

Nirvana chairs are very comfortable, it is worth leaning forward a little, it will gently “land” a person on his feet. Rocking chairs on elliptical skids, despite their comfort, can tip over, therefore they are equipped with chippers, the front one usually acts as a footboard.

Overturning during swinging at sunbeds with awnings, on elliptical skids is excluded.

Where to begin

Below is a rocking chair for the garden, which, with some effort, even a beginner can make. On the
such a model, you can try your hand before moving on to a complex home version.

In any case, the drawing should be as simple as possible so that it can be reproduced even without much experience.

Such a compact chair will look great in the garden, and it can be placed at home, it does not take up much space. This simple model will be used to describe the process.

Start with a drawing

The drawing is carried out on a scale grid, on which each cell corresponds to 10 cm. All markings on sawn parts must be made according to the drawing, taking into account the scale.

What can a chair be made of?

Euro plywood 3 cm thick is suitable for work.

  • You need to cut the sidewalls exactly according to the pattern, three parts for each side;
  • The remaining parts are made of timber 50 mm wide and 25 mm thick. For the seat and backrest, you need 35 elements from a bar, the length of each is 120 mm;
  • In order to correctly calculate how much timber is needed, you must first visit the store and see what bars are presented and what is their length. Knowing the initial size of the material, it will be possible to minimize waste by varying the width of the chair;
  • For example, if bars of the required thickness with a length of 2.3 meters are available for sale, then you can make the chair a little narrower - cut the bars for the back and seat by 115 mm. If the bars have a slightly larger width, then the chair can be made a little wider, so that there are not many scraps left;
  • You will also need three crossbars from a bar; in their manufacture, one should proceed from the width of the chair - that is, the length of the bars for the back and seat.

Small fluctuations in width will not affect the stability of the chair, so you can do this without worrying about the result.

When the details are ready

After the parts are sawn, they will need to be processed. They should not be rough.

In addition, carefully processed surfaces will give the product a finished look and facilitate finishing.

Surfaces are processed using a grinder, each part must be sanded on both sides with sandpaper with different grains. If you have the skill, you can use the milling nozzle to soften and round the sides of each part. If this is not possible, you can simply grind the cuts with a grinder or sand them by hand.

Treatment with hot drying oil should be carried out in at least two layers. This is one of the most outdated methods, but after that the product can be painted with oil paint and used even on the street, without losing its quality and appearance.

Small parts can be dipped in boiling drying oil as a whole, while you can not hold them with your hands. It is better to make improvised tongs from wooden slats. Larger parts should be generously smeared with a brush, laying them out on cardboard, alternately on each side, and dry the rest of the parts in the same way. Working with hot drying oil requires great care, you should remember this during the impregnation process. Do not lean over a container with a boiling substance; wear thick work gloves on your hands.

Alternatively, the parts can be treated with antiseptics, stains, and other impregnations, of which there are a great many in stores. They should be selected based on the intended purpose of the item: where it will be used.

At the end of the work, it will be possible to walk with a fine sandpaper again by hand, bringing it to complete smoothness.

Assembly

  • Be sure to put the attachment points of the transverse bars - these places are marked on the drawing, you should calculate their location on the finished parts, based on the scale grid step.
  • Having assembled the sidewalls, you can begin to attach the parts of the seat and backrest. The back will be attached to the rack, the seat - to the sides.

We need to pay attention to that again. that the drawers must be fixed strictly symmetrically, and the assembled side parts, if placed on top of each other, must completely match, without the slightest deviation.

  • Now the side parts are fastened together by crossbars, they should be attached at the legs, in the middle and at the top of the chair. For attachment, it is better to use confirmations (type of connecting fastener);
  • To attach the back and seat parts, four holes should be drilled in each bar, two on each side. In order for the heads of the self-tapping screws not to be visible, each hole must be slightly expanded from above with a drill of a larger diameter (it must be selected according to the diameter of the hats). When screwing on, the caps will be in recesses, which can then be masked with furniture putty.

Such a careful execution of the first part of the work will ensure the fulfillment of the following indispensable condition - all parts of the seat and back, all 35 bars must be located strictly horizontally.

Finishing

After assembly, the product must be processed again to give it a finished look. In addition, it will significantly extend its service life and maintain an aesthetic appearance.

If the parts were processed with drying oil, then at the end of the assembly, the chair should be covered with oil paint, in thin layers in two or three layers.

If you want the product to have a natural texture of wood, it should be treated with a stain of the desired shade and varnished.

Varnish should be chosen waterproof, as well as stain. There are varnishes that create a particularly durable coating that is resistant to abrasion and cracking. If the chair will stand on the street, it is better to take a yacht varnish or another with increased strength. In any case, it is better to keep the product under a canopy, this will extend the period of its functionality, or at least bring it into the house when it rains.

  • For the chair you need to use strong types of wood. These are oak, larch, coniferous;
  • Euro plywood, a 3 cm thick glued wood material, also has sufficient strength to make the chair reliable;
  • Plywood sheets must be carefully inspected before purchase so that they do not have surface damage and cracks. This will eliminate the difficulties in cutting the product and its subsequent processing;
  • The more time is spent processing the product and impregnating it with drying oil or compounds, the longer its service life will be;
  • The chair does not need to be upholstered with foam rubber and dense fabrics, this will contribute to the accumulation of moisture under the upholstery, which will quickly render it unusable. For sitting and backrest it is better to get removable pillows;
  • If the finished product is too leaning back or, conversely, oriented forward, it will have to be balanced at the end of the work. For this, an additional cross member is installed at the rear ends of the sidewalls. Previously, notches are cut in it, where the weights are attached according to the slope. Also, if necessary, the front of the chair is loaded. By adding and subtracting them, trying to sit and swing in a chair, you can achieve the perfect balance of the product.

Making a rocking chair is a rather complicated process, but quite doable. If you correctly and accurately, following the drawing and the advice given in the article, perform all the steps, then the result will be a beautiful and functional product that will last a long time.

For inspiration, watch the video below. The video contains incredibly simple, affordable models for self-production, from available materials.

You can make a rocking chair with your own hands. To do this, you will need a drawing of a plywood rocking chair. Plywood is best suited for such a product due to its plasticity. Using an electric jigsaw, you can make a design that will combine two important elements of the product at once - sidewalls and skids. You can increase the strength of a plywood product by choosing a design without joints.

  1. Electric jigsaw.
  2. Screwdriver.
  3. Plywood sheet, the thickness of which will be more than 15 mm.
  4. Reiki made of oak or pine with a section of 1 by 5 cm (20-30 pieces).
  5. Self-tapping screws, which are equal in size to the length of the rails.

After that, it is necessary to prepare a pattern and transfer the image to plywood, which is cut out with an electric jigsaw.

Do-it-yourself plywood drawings of rocking chairs give vent to fantasy. Novice carpenters need to pay close attention to such a complex material as plywood. The details of the chairs are glued in three layers, and with the help of an electric jigsaw, you can make accurate and durable connections.

You need to remember that plywood sheets for the middle layer should be taken twice as thick as for the last one. Thus, if the total thickness is 2 cm, then you need to glue 0.5-1-0.5 cm. In this case, the parts are assembled exclusively with waterproof glue. If in the process of creating a plywood chair you use PVA glue, you additionally need to fix it with nails. Joints are glued and fixed with screws on both sides. In this case, the supporting surfaces must be protected by layers of thin lath or rubber.

A plywood rocking chair is worth making for the reason that it is a malleable material with which you can implement any technical solutions, even the most daring ones. For example, it becomes possible to manufacture a shell chair.

Rocking chair in the shape of a hemisphere

The convenience of such a product cannot be denied - it is high, stable. You can make a hanging hammock or swing out of it. Please note that the thickness of the swept boards should reach more than 1.2 cm, and the connecting half-washers - more than 2.4 cm. Do not forget to impregnate the finished wooden chair with a water-polymer emulsion or liquid acrylic varnish. This is necessary in order to give strength to the product, as well as to remove residual stress on bent parts and joints.

Chair making process

The progress of creating a rocking chair from plywood with your own hands is as follows:

Step 1

We develop a scheme and prepare patterns. To do this, you need to redraw the drawing on thick cardboard and cut out the silhouette of the chair fragments. Armed with a pencil, we mark the patterns on plywood sheets.

Step 2

We take an electric jigsaw and carefully cut out the elements of the future rocking chair made of solid wood. Sidewalls, two racks, support arrays and planks are sawn from the densest fragment. Now you need to create a cross element and a bar, the dimensions of which are 50 by 40 cm. To create seventeen planks and fifteen cross elements, we need a sheet 1 cm thick.

Step 3

We find a thin sheet and cut the elements in the form of squares for the seat and back. Do not forget to clean the elements with sandpaper. Finished transverse elements are glued to the thin part of the seat and backrest. All details are carefully varnished, and if desired, can be processed with a coloring composition.

Step 4

After all the wooden elements have dried, they are assembled into a single whole. Do not forget to pre-drill holes for fasteners, the caps of which will be hidden under special plugs.

Step 5

In order to make room for legs, you can use an unnecessary holder from a rake or shovel. In total, the length of the structure will be 53 cm.

How to make chair pads

Now that you know how to make a rocking chair with your own hands, let's get down to the lining. We turn the product over with the skids up and heat the bar prepared in advance with a building hair dryer. We put the finished swinging bar on the skid and securely wrap it along the entire length with a cotton cloth. Be careful not to burn yourself on the hot chipboard. After the wooden rocking chair has cooled down, remove the fabric and glue the lining with PVA glue. At the same time, we fix the ends with small nails. We recommend placing small bars, pieces of plywood or washers under the nail heads. We remove this temporary fastener after the chair from the timber is completely dry from the glue. We drill blind holes for fasteners and fix the ends. Please note that the pads for the rocking chair are attached with metal hardware only at the ends. This will avoid scratching the floor when erasing the overlays. Do-it-yourself rocking chairs are ready.

Photo design - rocking chairs made of woodMaterial for work

For those who did not like the first option, the following scheme will do. Note that in understanding how to make a chair out of curved plywood yourself, videos will help.

First, prepare the diagrams - you can create them yourself, or you can find them on the Internet. Schemes are necessary in order to avoid errors in the process. Drawings are processed on graph paper. Do not forget that the scale should be 1 to 1. In the process, rely on the photo of the chair that you want to end up with. The drawing is transferred pointwise, and the details of the chair made are laid out in such a way that the plywood board is used to the maximum.

All elements are cut with a jigsaw.

Cutting rocking elements

Now you can assemble a wooden chair with your own hands. Finished elements are twisted with self-tapping screws, which should not stick out.

Assembly process

Elements can also be fastened with spiked joints. The caps of the self-tapping screws are hidden under the plugs. As you can see, a rocking chair can be made from wood with your own hands. This will require a minimum of money and effort from you.
