Russia also partially belongs to Asian countries. What states does Overseas Asia include? The countries and capitals of this part of the world will be listed in the article.

What is called overseas Asia?

Foreign territory is called the territory of this part of the world that does not belong to Russia, that is, these are all Asian countries except Russia. In the geographical literature, foreign Asia is divided into four large regions. So, they distinguish Central, Eastern, Southern and Front (Western). North Asia is Russian territory, and foreign Asia, of course, does not belong to it. The countries and capitals of this part of the world are absolutely different from each other, they are unique and inimitable.

Developed countries of foreign Asia and their capitals

Among the most highly developed countries in the world is Singapore (capital - Singapore). This is a small island state with a high standard of living of the population, which is mainly engaged in the production of electronics for export.
Japan (the capital of Tokyo), also engaged in the creation of electronic equipment, is among the ten most prosperous countries in the world. Almost all countries of foreign Asia and their capitals are rapidly developing. For example, Qatar, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan are among the five fastest growing (in terms of GDP growth) economies in the world.

Not everyone needs to be ahead...

The least developed countries of foreign Asia and their capitals: Bangladesh (capital - Dhaka), Bhutan (capital - Thimphu), Nepal (capital - Kathmandu). These and some other countries cannot boast of either a high standard of living or special achievements in industry. And yet overseas Asia (countries and capitals are listed in the table above) plays an important role in the global economy. The largest financial centers are located in the largest part of the world on the planet: Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore.

Asia- the largest part of the world on the planet. It stretches from the Mediterranean coast of the Middle East to the far shores of the Pacific Ocean, including China, Korea, Japan, India. Humid, hot regions in southern Asia are separated from the cooler ones by a giant mountain range - the Himalayas.

Together with Europe, Asia forms a continent Eurasia. The dividing border between Asia and Europe runs through the Ural Mountains. Asia is washed by the waters of the rhinestone of three oceans: the Pacific, the Arctic and the Indian. Also, many regions of Asia have access to the seas of the Atlantic Ocean. 54 states are located on the territory of this part of the world.

The highest mountain peak on Earth is Chomolungma (Everest). Its height above sea level is 8848 meters. This peak is part of the Himalayas, a mountain range separating Nepal and China.

Asia is a very long part of the world, so the climate in Asian countries is different and differs depending on the landscape and topography. In Asia, there are states with both subarctic and equatorial climatic zones. In southern Asia, powerful winds blow from the sea - monsoons. Air masses saturated with moisture bring heavy rains with them.

Located in Central Asia gobi desert which is called cold. Its lifeless, windswept expanses are covered with stone debris and sand. Orangutans live in the tropical rainforests of Sumatra - the only large monkeys living in Asia. This species is now under threat of extinction.

Asia- it is also the most densely populated part of the world, because more than 60% of the world's inhabitants live there. The largest population in three Asian countries - India, Japan and China. However, there are also regions that are completely deserted.

Asia- this is the cradle of civilization of the entire planet, since Asia is home to the most ethnic groups and peoples. Each of the Asian countries is distinctive in its own way, having its own traditions. Most of them live along the banks of rivers and oceans and are engaged in fishing and agriculture. Today, many peasants are moving from the countryside to the cities, which are growing rapidly.

About 2/3 of rice on the globe is grown in just two countries - China and India. Rice fields where young shoots are planted are covered with water.

The Ganges River in India is the busiest trading place with numerous "floating markets". Hindus consider this river sacred and make mass pilgrimages to its banks.

The streets of Chinese cities are filled with cyclists. Bicycle is the most popular mode of transport in China. Almost all tea in the world is grown in Asia. Tea plantations are processed by hand, only young leaves are plucked, which are dried. Asia is the birthplace of such religions as Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. There is a giant Buddha statue in Thailand.

Colonial and Dependent Territories

An absolute monarchy is a state in which all the executive, legislative, judicial and military powers are concentrated in the hands of the monarch. At the same time, the presence of a parliament and parliamentary elections of the people of the country is possible, but this is only an advisory body of the monarch and cannot be against him.

In the strict sense of the world, there are only six countries with an absolute monarchy.

If considered more open, the dualistic monarchy can be equated with the absolute, and these are six countries. Thus, there are twelve countries in the world in which it is somewhat concentrated in one hand.

The amazing thing is that in Europe (both love the protection of human rights and the annoyance associated with any dictators) there are already two such countries!

But at the same time there must be a distinction between absolute and constitutional monarchy, since there are many kingdoms and principalities in Europe, but most of them are constitutional monarchies in which the president of the state is the president of the parliament.

So, these are the twelve countries with absolute monarchy:

Kingdom of Bahrain. A small country in the Middle East on the coast of the Persian Gulf. Dualist monarchy, King Hamad ibn Isa Al-Khalifa since 2002.

The state of Brunei Darussalam (or, in short, Brunei). Country in Southeast Asia on the island of Kalimantan. Absolute monarchy, Sultan Hassanal Bolkia (Hassanal Bolkia) since 1967.

3. Vatican. The city is entirely within Rome.

A theocratic monarchy, the country has been ruled by Pope Francis Francis (Francis) since 2013.

4. Jordan (full name: Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan). It is located in the Middle East. Dualist monarchy, ruled by King Abdullah II ibn Hussein al-Hashimi since 1999.

5. Qatar, the state of the Middle East, an absolute monarchy, the state is ruled by Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani since 2013.

Kuwait. Country in the Middle East. A dualist monarchy, the state has been ruled by Emir Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah since 2006.

7. Luxembourg (full name: Grand Duchy of Luxembourg). The state is located in the heart of Europe.

Luxembourg is a dualistic monarchy, and since 2000 the state has been headed by the Grand Duke of His Royal Highness Henry (Henry).

8. Morocco (full name: Kingdom of Morocco) is a country located in northwestern Africa.

The dualist monarchy, since 1999, has been ruled by Mohammed Viben al-Hassan.

9. United Arab Emirates. Country in the Middle East, on the coast of the Persian Gulf. An absolute monarchy, the country has been ruled by President Caliph bin Zayed Al Nahyan since 2004.

10. Oman (surname: Sultanate of Oman). Country on the Arabian Peninsula.

An absolute monarchy, the state has been ruled by Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said since 1970.

11. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Country in the Middle East. An absolute theocratic monarchy, the country has been ruled by King Salman ibn Abdul-Aziz ibn Abdurrahman al Saud since 2015.

12. Kingdom of Swaziland. The state is located in southern Africa. A dualist monarchy, the state has been ruled by King Mswati III since 1986.

Asia is part of the Eurasian continent. The continent is located in the eastern and northern hemispheres. The border with North America passes through the Bering Strait, and with South Africa the Suez Canal separates Asia.

Even in ancient Greece, attempts were made to establish a precise boundary between Asia and Europe. While this limit is considered conditional. In Russian sources, the border is established along the eastern foothills of the Ural Mountains, the Emba River, the Caspian Sea, the Black and Marble Seas along the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles.

In the west, Asia is washed by the inland seas of the Black, Azov, Marmara, Mediterranean and Aegean seas. The largest lakes on the continent are Baikal, Balkhash and the Aral Sea.

Lake Baikal contains 20% of all fresh water reserves on Earth. In addition, Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world. Its greatest depth in the middle part of the basin is 1620 meters. One of the unique lakes in Asia is Lake Balkhash. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that sweet water is in the western part and salty in the eastern part. The Dead Sea is considered the deepest sea in Asia and the world.

The continental part of Asia occupies mainly mountains and plateaus.

The largest mountainous regions in the south are Tibet, Tien Shan, Pamir, Himalayas. In the north and north-east of the continent, Altai, Verkhoyansky ridge, Chersky ridge, central Siberian plateau. In the west, Asia is surrounded by the Caucasus and Ural mountains, and in the east by large and small Khingan and Sikhote-Alin. On the map of Asia, with countries and capitals in Russian, the names of the main mountainous regions of the region are obvious.

In Asia, all types of climate - from the Arctic to the Equatorial.

Asia is classified by the United Nations in the following regions: Central Asia, East Asia, West Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia. There are currently 54 countries in Asia. The borders of all these countries and capitals are marked on the political map of Asia by cities.

In terms of population growth, Asia is only in Africa. Asia is home to 60% of the world's population. China and India account for 40% of the world's population.

Asia is the ancestor of ancient civilizations - Indian, Tibetan, Babylonian, Chinese. This is due to favorable agriculture in many areas of this part of the world. The ethnic composition of Asia is very diverse. There are representatives of three main races of peoples: Negroids, Mongoloids and Europods.

South Asia is a region located on the southern peninsula of Hindustan, with several small coral and volcanic islands in the Indian Ocean, the Indo-Gangetic Valley, the Himalayas. This is a remarkable part of the planet that attracts tourists and exists according to its own customs and rules.

South Asia includes seven countries:

  1. Bangladesh;
  2. Nepal;
  3. Butane;
  4. India;
  5. Sri Lanka;
  6. Pakistan;

In the southern part, the region is surrounded by the seas and bays of the Indian Ocean. Of all the states, only two countries, Bhutan and Nepal, are not provided with access to the sea.
The population fluctuates around 1.2 billion people.

Bangladesh

Most of the country is flat lowland. The Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers form one channel a little west of the capital Dhaka and flow into the Bay of Bengal. The state is almost regularly exposed to floods, which cause the loss of many lives.
About 20% of the total population of the country lives in the cities of Bangladesh. Since it is problematic to find work here, people live by farming (tea, sugar cane, jute) and fishing.

State of Bangladesh

Capital of Bangladesh– Dhaka with a population of 6.97 million. It is located on the Buriganga (Ganges) river. It appears to be a major port and aquatourism concentration.

For 80% of the inhabitants, the rural and forest industries are the main source of livelihood. The industry is undeveloped, there are a number of woodworking enterprises and the food industry.

Bhutan surprises with its contrasts. On the plain, near India, bananas grow, and on a hill, in the central part of the state, oaks grow. From the north, Bhutan is surrounded by the Himalayan mountains.

India

Republic of India It is the seventh largest state in the world and the second largest in terms of population. Since 1997, Delhi has been territorially divided into 9 districts, and each of them is divided into 3 districts.

New Delhi has a population of around 295,000 while the city of Delhi is home to over 13 million people. This is one of the most economically developed regions.

The economy of the capital consists of industries: tourism, telecommunications, information technology. Industry includes the manufacture of products for mass consumption. The process of transferring the capital to the end is not yet completed. The population of Kotte is 150,000 inhabitants. In fact, the capital continues to be Colombo - the largest city in the country (there are almost 600 thousand people). Colombo has a deep-water harbor, and the city center is located near the port. Asia is one of the most rapidly developing regions, and (most of them) are known to every schoolchild. Asian and eastern tigers have “registered” here, breaks into the world economy and economically backward states sleep peacefully.

There are more than 48 sovereign states on the territory. Some of them are crumbs who do not take any part in world politics and economics. The other part are serious players on the world stage.

The largest Asian countries with capitals we will try to describe in a brief overview.

Thailand with capital Bangkok

More than 70,000,000 people live on a territory of 514,000 km² (in Bangkok, the population is more than 15,000,000 people). Most of those living in Thailand are ethnic Thais and Laos, but there are other ethnic groups. The country's economy is largely concentrated around Bangkok. But most of the population (60%) are employed in agriculture. Tourism is becoming an important source of income for the people of Thailand, with more than 19 million tourists visiting the country in 2011 alone.

Japan with Tokyo as its capital

Nippon (Nihon) is unique in that without solid reserves of oil, gas and other natural resources, it was able to break into one of the largest economies in the world. Today, hundreds, thousands of tourists come to the country to admire the cherry blossoms, Buddhist temples and cultural monuments. But the foreign Asia of the country and the capital does not end there.

and the city of Delhi

India is a tiny state in terms of territory, where more than 1,200,000,000 people live (the 2nd state in the world in terms of population). Mysterious, wise, calm and covered with a halo of mystery, India attracts attention, beckons. But along with the Eastern culture and way of life, here you will encounter economic problems, poverty and misery. But we will not stop at India, we will continue .

and its capital Dhaka

10.8 million people lives in the capital. In total, 142 million people live in Bangladesh.

Due to acute local conflicts, the state was never able to achieve a high level of economic development. With a large population, Bangladesh is considered one of the poorest regions on the planet.

Of course, it would be worth talking about China, mentioning Nicosia and other cities. Each of them has its own special charm.

April 17, 2016

Asia is the most populous part of the world. On its territory there are some of the most developed cities in the world - these are, of course, the capitals of Asia. At the same time, there are extremely poor regions here. This is the side of contrasts, where luxury and poverty coexist, huge cities and small villages, ancient historical monuments and modern megacities, the highest mountains and the deepest depressions.

Asia is a unique part of the world

Asia is recognized as the largest part of the world. Its territory is so large that it occupies from north to south climatic zones from the Arctic to the equatorial, from the Arctic Ocean to the Indian Ocean, from east to west - from the Pacific Ocean to the seas of the Atlantic, that is, Asia touches all the oceans of the Earth. From the point of view of geography, Asia is also interesting in that about two-thirds of its territory is occupied by mountains and plateaus. The uniqueness of this part of the world also lies in the extraordinary diversity of its fauna: polar bears and pandas, seals and elephants, Ussuri tigers and Borneos, snow leopards and Gobi cats, loons and peacocks. The geography of Asia is unique, as are the peoples living on its territory. The countries and capitals of Asia are multinational and multicultural.

Asia: countries

The list of Asian countries varies depending on the criteria by which the classification is carried out. Thus, Georgia and Azerbaijan belong either to Europe or to Asia, which is associated with different variants of the border between the two parts of Eurasia. Russia is both a European country and an Asian one, since the main part of the population lives in the European part, and most of the territory is located in the Asian part. The debatable countries of Asia and their capitals, the list of which is given in the table, are located on the border of the two cardinal points.

On the territory of Asia, there are countries that are partially recognized (North Ossetia, the Republic of China, Palestine, Abkhazia and others) or unrecognized (the State of Shan, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Waziristan), there are territories dependent on other states (Cocos Islands, Christmas Island, Hong Kong, Macau and others).

Ancient cities of Asia

Asia is the side of the world where ancient civilizations actively developed. And the territory of Southeast Asia, presumably, is the ancestral home of ancient man. Ancient documents testify to the prosperity of some cities as early as several millennia BC. So, the city on the Jordan River was founded approximately in the 8th millennium BC, and it was never empty.
The city of Byblos on the Lebanese coast of the Mediterranean Sea dates back to the 4th millennium BC. Asia is not called mysterious for nothing: many Asian capitals keep ancient history and exceptional culture.

Major cities and capitals

Asia is not only exceptional ancient civilizations. These are the leading modern industrial centers.
The most developed and largest cities and capitals of Asia, the list of which is given below, are important points in the global financial industry.
