What is the best 19 liter water. Roskachestvo ranked bottled water

Drinking water without gas. Bottled water was examined for almost a hundred indicators of quality and safety. Experts studied the microbiological safety of water, compared tap water with mineral water, and also determined the necessary quality characteristics of water to meet human needs.

58 samples of the most popular brands among Russians, such as Valio, Bon Aqua, Shishkin Les, Aqua Minerale, Kalinov Rodnik, Nestle Pure Life, Holy Spring, Evian " and etc.

The vast majority of goods were manufactured in Russia, while the products of Armenia, Georgia, Italy, Norway, Finland, and France were also presented in the rolling study. The study included products of brands common on the Russian market in about 15 regions of Russia, including the Republic of Tatarstan, Stavropol Territory, Vladimir, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Tula and Ryazan regions.

The test program included about 100 parameters, including microbiological safety, the presence of harmful impurities, nitrites and artificial preservatives. Also, the leading Roskachest standard for high-quality water, claiming the Russian Quality Mark, established tougher requirements for the content of mineral substances and the physiological usefulness of water.

The first in Russia such a large-scale study of the water of brands present on the market allows us to draw a number of important conclusions and refute common consumer myths.

« As the results of laboratory tests have shown, the quality of water depends on the production capacity of the manufacturer in terms of purification and mineralization of bottled drinking water, and not on the place of origin. The study, unexpectedly for experts, showed that water, in which the optimal amount of nutrients was artificially added by the manufacturer during the mineralization of tap water, can compete in quality with drinking water from natural sources.", - notes Deputy Head of Roskachestvo Maria Sapuntsova.

The market today is divided into drinking water of the highest, first category, as well as mineral water. The status of water of the highest category imposes high requirements on products, which, in fact, some manufacturers could not meet. Most often, their water was less useful for the consumer than required by the mandatory requirements for the highest category. And if practically no problems were found in the first category of drinking water (moreover, this category is saturated with high-quality products more than others), then in the highest category, violations were recorded for the vast majority of goods. As for mineral water, this category can be called relatively problem-free.

A pleasant fact was the refutation of the opinion of a number of consumers about the frequent presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, nitrites and toxic elements in the water - they were not found in any sample.

The experts also concluded that the quality of water in general is not affected by either its foreign origin or price. Domestic water is in no way inferior in composition to foreign samples, and often surpasses them in quality.

In addition, the experts decided to compare water of the same brand produced in different regions of Russia (for example, the Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod regions), and did not see a difference in quality characteristics. Also, the experts bought the same brand of water of different volumes - 1 and 5 liters and did not note the difference in quality. Thus, the widespread opinion that manufacturers do not observe the stability of production at different sites and use different technologies to produce bottles of different sizes has not been confirmed.

According to the results of large-scale tests, nine products not only met all safety requirements and the standards stated on the packaging, but also managed to reach the advanced standards of Roskachestvo.

Samples named high-quality water "Volzhanka", "Lipetsk pump-room", "Novoterskaya", "Oh! Our Family”, “Simple Kindness”, ARCTIC, Aquanika, Bon Aqua and Evian. These samples, with the exception of Evian, can qualify for the State Quality Mark due to their Russian origin.

Another 37 samples out of 58 were named quality goods that fully comply with the current legal requirements. However, these goods did not reach the increased requirements of the Roskachestvo standard in one or more indicators, for example, in the content of substances such as potassium, magnesium, iron, iodine and etc., therefore, they cannot be called high quality goods.

At the same time, various kinds of violations of the current legislation were found in 12 cases. According to the test results, only three out of 58 products showed deviations in safety. So, in three samples, an increased bacterial contamination was revealed (Arkhyz, Elbrus, Biovita). These results were also confirmed by the expert opinion of the supervisory authority. It is important to note that this problem may be related to the conditions of storage or transportation at any stage of the movement of goods.

In 9 more cases out of 58, there was a discrepancy with the properties or category declared on the label. For example, the content of magnesium, calcium or boron was found not corresponding to the labeling, and in one case the “general mineralization” was affected. Considering that manufacturers openly declared on water labeling about a certain amount of macro- and microelements, non-compliance with the declared properties is misleading consumers.

It should be noted that “general mineralization” is one of the most important properties of drinking water. Any water, regardless of the brand, water source, method of purification and enrichment with microelements, geography and even the depth of the well, is a unique cocktail of substances called anions and cations (positive and negatively charged ions). So, for example, cations include potassium, magnesium, iron, and anions - sulfates, fluorine and iodine. The content of these substances is often indicated by the product label, which indicates their percentage.

According to the results of laboratory tests, in 13 samples out of 31 "first category" drinking water, a relatively low level of total mineralization was recorded. However, this is water, we recall, and does not pretend to be useful, it is “enough” for it to be safe. Another thing is that in one of the samples of the "highest grade" mineral substances turned out to be only 77 mg / l, while the average median indicators of other waters in the corresponding category were 200-300 mg / l. Therefore, Roskachestvo specifically set increased requirements for water salinity for applicants for the State Quality Mark.

Detailed results of the study of each sample with a list of advantages and disadvantages are available on the portal Roskachestvo .

FOR REFERENCE

Roskachestvo is a national system for monitoring, comparative testing and confirming the quality of goods and services, established by a government decree at the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Roskachestvo conducts regular research of consumer goods. Also, the department, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of Russia, is the operator of the state Quality Mark, issued to the best domestic goods based on the results of the research. The results of the study are published on the portal rskrf.ru .

For a year and a half, Roskachestvo conducted research on more than 2,500 consumer goods in 60 categories, including food, light industry goods and goods for children.

Chloroform, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, nitrites - what can be found in cooler water?

Sales of water for coolers in our country are growing every year. Residents of large cities do not trust tap water, no matter how much officials say that it meets all safety and quality requirements, and that it can be drunk straight from the tap. Some are afraid of bleach, others are afraid of iron getting into the water from pipes, others simply cannot believe that tap water is really safe.

There are a great many brands and manufacturers of water for coolers. Delivery services - even more. How to choose? Many choose by price, believing that all bottled water is the same, and you can buy the cheapest, or vice versa - they choose the most expensive, in the hope that if water costs 350-400 rubles per bottle, then the manufacturer monitors its quality. Recently, mineral, melted, mountain water has become “fashionable”, which, supposedly, is more natural and healthier than ordinary water.

Consumer Rights Protection Society (OZPP) "Roskontrol" purchased and sent for examination water for coolers of 14 brands. To understand the difference between expensive water and cheap, children's and adult, mineral and drinking, a detailed analysis was carried out: experts tested the water according to 44 indicators.

Water was purchased for the examination: Arkhyz and Arkhyzik, Shishkin Les, Nestle Pure Life, Chernogolovskaya and "Chernogolovskaya for children", "Royal water", "Volzhanka", "Staro-Mytishchi source", "Guchkovskaya", "Sudogodskaya", "Pilgrim", "Kubay" and "Mountain peak".

Test results

Water "Shishkin Les" was the best among the tested samples. However, there are claims of experts to it: the mineral-salt composition of water cannot be considered physiologically complete (although it corresponds to that indicated in the labeling).

from 340 P UB.

In this water, the content of calcium, magnesium and fluorine is almost ideal for the body; it can be considered physiologically complete. The only complaint about the water is that it does not meet the requirements for water of the highest category in terms of nitrite content.

from 340 P UB.

Water "Pilgrim" is included in the "black list" for deceiving consumers. During the examination, traces of treatment with chlorine-containing compounds were found in the water, which is not allowed for natural mineral waters

from 300 P UB.

The ammonium content in Nestle water is exceeded - an indicator of organic pollution. In addition, organohalogen compounds characteristic of water treated with chlorine were found in this water.

from 320 P UB.

"Sudogodskaya" water was also on the "black list" due to violation of safety requirements - the number of microbes exceeds the allowable standards. This water will not cause serious harm to health, but a person with a weakened immune system is likely to have a gastrointestinal upset.

from 210 P UB.

Gross violations of safety requirements became the basis for adding this water to the "black list". The number of microbes exceeds the maximum allowable by 12 times.

from 260 P UB.

Water "Guchkovskaya" does not meet the requirements not only for drinking water, but even for tap water. Inconsistencies were found in the composition of water relative to that indicated on the label, and serious violations were found in microbiological indicators.

from 175 P UB.

"King's Water" is blacklisted due to the multiple excess of the standard for microbial content, which makes it unsafe for the consumer. In addition, the mineral composition of water cannot be called physiologically complete.

from 310 P UB.

Like most of the tested samples, the water "Kubay" does not meet the safety requirements for the content of microbes. This may be due to the fact that sanitary standards are not observed at the production site: it is possible that the container was not washed well after use.

from 330 P UB.

Water "Arkhyzik" should not be given to children. The number of microbes in it exceeds the permissible standards for water intended for baby food. In addition, this water has clearly been processed: there is less calcium and magnesium in it, and more sodium than it should be.

from 409 P UB.

Water does not meet safety requirements: the number of microbes found in it exceeds the allowable. For this violation, the sample was blacklisted by Roskontrol

from 270 P UB.

The label of this mineral water says that it is intended for adults and children from birth. According to the results of the examination, it turned out that in no case should it be given to children, especially the first year of life, and for adults this is not the best option. The main complaints are about the mineral composition: the water was treated in such a way that neither calcium, nor magnesium, nor fluorine remained in it.

from 258 P UB.

This water should not be drunk by children or adults - it is unsafe. The number of bacteria in it has broken all records: the total microbial number exceeds the allowable standards by 100 times!

from 290 P UB.

The most serious violation was found in Arkhyz water - microbiologists found Pseudomonas aeruginosa in it. This is a putrefactive microorganism that causes various purulent tissue lesions. The infection caused by it is difficult to treat, in some cases even antibiotics do not help.

from 400 P UB.

Black list

The results shocked

More than half of the samples - eight out of fourteen - according to the results of the examination, do not meet the safety requirements for microbiology. The number of microbes found in the water exceeds the allowable not only for bottled, but even for tap water. The most serious violation was found when testing water of a popular brand Arkhyz.

Water "Arkhyz" not only does not meet the standard for the total content of microbes. During the examination, they found in it ... Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

For reference:

Pseudomonas aeruginosa(Pseudomonas aeruginosa) is a Gram-negative bacterium of the genus Pseudomonas. It persists for a long time and successfully multiplies in water. It can enter the water from the surface of plants, from the soil, with groundwater, as well as in case of contamination of the water source with fecal sewage.

How dangerous is the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in drinking water?

Larisa Ilyina, Head of the Laboratory of Microbiological Test Methods, CJSC Rostest:

“I can say that for the first time in my years of work in a microbiological laboratory, Pseudomonas aeruginosa was found in bottled water. They found during the examination of water from open reservoirs, fountains, wells, but never in bottled water.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is known as a bacterium that causes various purulent tissue lesions in people with poor health, in the postoperative period. The infection caused by it is difficult to treat, in some cases even antibiotics do not help. Getting Pseudomonas aeruginosa in the blood can lead to sepsis - blood poisoning, gangrene. However, the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in drinking water is also unsafe: a person who consumes such water may experience acute intestinal infections (diarrhea, vomiting). But, most importantly, its presence is a sign that the water or container is contaminated.”

With regard to the total number of microbes, the permissible standards for this indicator are exceeded in water. "Staro-Mytishchi source"- 12 times, in "Royal water"- 20 times. The most depressing indicators are near the water "Chernogolovskaya for children": microbes - 100 times more than the allowable values! According to infectious disease doctors, if this water is not boiled (and most often water from coolers is not boiled), it can cause intestinal and other infections.

For reference:

TMC (total microbial count)- a sanitary indicator reflecting the total content of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms in 1 ml of water - indicates the general contamination of water. May indicate the presence of various bacteria in the water, including salmonella, dysentery bacillus. In water that does not meet the standards for this indicator, the presence of dangerous viruses is possible, which are characterized by the water way of transmission (rotaviruses, enteroviruses and others).

The standard for bottled drinking water is no more than 20 microbes (CFU) per 1 ml, for tap water - no more than 50 microbes (CFU) per 1 ml, for mineral table water - no more than 100 microbes (CFU) per 1 ml.

Exceeding microbiological limits is the biggest water cooler problem. Why?

Yuri Anatolyevich Rakhmanin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Director of the Research Institute of Human Ecology and Environmental Hygiene. A.N. Sysina:

“Because water is supplied in the so-called reusable container. They bring you water, you drink it, then you return the empty bottle, they wash it at the factory, pour water again, and bring it to someone else. And so dozens of times! It happens that the bottles are dirty at the buyers, and they were poorly washed at the factory or not quite clean water was used for washing. And the bacteria from the container end up in a bottle of water, begin to multiply. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a very tenacious microorganism; it can form biofilms on the surface of containers and equipment. And if at least once you come across contaminated water, then Pseudomonas aeruginosa will settle in the cooler, which then will have to be disinfected.

Water from the cooler - for children? In no case!

It is because of the potential danger of water in reusable containers that doctors do not recommend giving children water from coolers. After opening the bottle, baby water is not recommended to be stored for more than 1-2 days, which is why it is most often poured into small containers.

Roskontrol tested water not from a cooler, but from closed bottles. The bottles were printed in a sterile microbiological laboratory and immediately sent for analysis.

And what would happen if the water stood in the cooler for another day or two? During this time, microbes would have increased many times.

In water "Arkhyzik", which says “baby water” on the label, exceeding microbial levels (compared to the standards for water intended for baby food) is not as egregious as in "Chernogolovskaya for children", but also significant - 4 times, although the standard for mineral water is not exceeded. The manufacturer took care of it as best he could. Roskontrol experts found a certificate of conformity on the website of the seller of this water. There is not a word in the document that the water is intended for baby food. There it is simply called “mineral drinking water”. Requirements for drinking water in terms of microbial content are 5 times stricter than for mineral water. To be safe, manufacturers often draw up documents for their water as mineral, and in the name they write whatever they like: “for children”, “for children”, “for children and adults”, and so on. These words by themselves have no meaning, experts say.

Read the label carefully: it should say "drinking water of the highest category for baby food."

So, "Arkhyzik" and "Chernogolovskaya for children" cannot be considered safe for children, since they do not meet the standards in terms of the content of microbes.

As for the water "Mountain peak"(which the manufacturer recommends giving to children from birth), everything is in order with microbiology, but there is another problem: it contains practically no calcium, magnesium and fluorine. This means that if you constantly give this water to a child, he may experience a deficiency of these useful elements in the body and, as a result, caries, impaired skeletal formation, problems with the heart and nervous system.

Note that many experts consider it possible to give children natural mineral table water too, but only if it is natural, that is, it has not been subjected to any processing.

What is the difference between drinking, mineral, artesian, mountain, children's water - see the article http://roscontrol.com/community/article/voda-v-butilkah-kakaya-ona-bivaet/

"Mineral" does not mean "natural"

Mineral water is fashionable. On expensive French water of well-known brands, it is written - “natural mineral water”. So our manufacturers decided: why are we worse? They wrote beautiful words on the label about the benefits of natural mineral water in order to give consumers the impression that it is somehow better than ordinary drinking water. At the same time, safety standards are higher just for drinking water.

What do producers of mineral water for coolers do? Soften water, that is, "remove" calcium and magnesium from it. What for? The fact is that many manufacturers of water in reusable containers provide coolers for rent. The devices remain the property of the companies, who then clean, repair and maintain them. If the water is hard, then scale will accumulate in the coolers - deposits of hardness salts, and they will have to be cleaned. This is unprofitable for companies, so they "purify" the water from calcium and magnesium.

Three samples of allegedly "natural mineral water", as shown by the examination, were subjected to processing: "Mountain top", "Arkhyz" and "Arkhyzik". They have much less calcium and magnesium than natural mineral water. The water of these brands does not match the mineral composition of the source water of the deposits (wells) indicated in the labeling, which can be regarded as a deception of consumers.

Where does the organochlorine in the water come from?

Why do people prefer to buy bottled water instead of drinking tap water? Of course, because they believe that bottled water, unlike tap water, is not chlorinated.

The examination of Roskontrol showed that in 3 out of 14 water samples, organohalogen compounds were found, which are characteristic of water that has undergone disinfection with chlorine, including chloroform.

And if on the water Nestle Pure Life honestly (albeit somewhat veiled) it is written that it is from the city water supply, then "Kubai" and "Pilgrim" declared on the label as natural mineral table waters, for which treatment with chlorine is not allowed in principle.

What does the presence of organohalogen compounds in water indicate? Does this mean that tap water was simply poured into the bottles?

Yakov Khromchenko, Doctor of Chemistry, Head of the Testing Center "Research Institute of Municipal Water Supply and Water Treatment" (NII KVOV):

“The presence of organohalogen compounds in water does not necessarily indicate that the water has been disinfected (that is, that manufacturers have bottled chlorinated tap water). This is just one of the options. It can also be assumed that the well from which water was taken was disinfected with chlorine preparations. It is possible that these compounds got into the container when it was processed in production (for example, tap water was used to treat the container). In order to avoid such contamination, conscientious manufacturers treat containers with water, the quality of which is subject to the same requirements as for drinking water itself.

Such a number of chlorine and bromine compounds that have been found in water does not pose a health hazard. Permissible values for these indicators are not exceeded. The very fact of the discovery of these compounds in "natural mineral" water is important.

The consumer has the right to know what he pays money for - for pure, natural drinking or mineral water, or for chlorinated water.

Nitrites - why are they terrible?

In water "Volzhanka", "Chernogolovskaya for children", "Staro-Mytishchi source" an excess of nitrite content, admissible for water of the highest category, was revealed. Also, this figure is high in water. "Mountain peak" and "Arkhyzik". The last two trademarks are positioned as “children's”, which means that when buying “water for children”, parents expect higher water quality. The probable reason for the excess of nitrite content is groundwater pollution by infiltrated surface water, or non-compliance with the safety requirements of the initial water composition.

For reference:

Nitrites- salts of nitrous acid HNO2. In large quantities, they are general toxic and carcinogenic substances. Drinking water with a high content of nitrites is dangerous, as they interfere with the ability of the blood to carry oxygen, in fact, it is a poison for hemoglobin. Converted to nitrosamines, they can cause cancer.

The experts noted that in the concentrations in which nitrites were found in the tested water, they are not so dangerous, but the content of nitrites in the water is primarily an indicator of organic pollution by surface water, which means that it may contain viruses, pesticides and other harmful and toxic substances.

Another indicator of organic water pollution is the ammonium content. According to this indicator, an excess was found in water Nestle Pure Life. Most likely, this water was not well purified.

The examination showed that water for coolers is not only no better, but sometimes much worse than tap water. And why pay for such water?

The question arises - what's next?

OZPP Roskontrol requires manufacturers to:

Stop violating the requirements of the law, withdraw from sale products that do not meet safety requirements;

Conduct an audit at own enterprises, allied enterprises and distributors, both on the quality of the delivered water and compliance with the disinfection regimes for reusable water containers;

Until the situation is corrected, the causes and conditions that led to the published results are identified, stop the release of water that does not meet safety and quality requirements (in terms of microbiology, nitrite and ammonium content, organohalogen content, inconsistency of information on the label with actual data);

The Arkhyz water producer should take measures to establish the circle (number) of consumers of manufactured products in order to carry out large-scale measures to disinfect devices (coolers) for bottling water, to eliminate Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in order to prevent its spread;

OZPP Roskontrol makes a requirement to online stores and online water delivery services:

(http://www.vodaplus.ru/, http://www.pou-cooler.ru/ and others)

Correct the information about Arkhyzik water on their websites and not mislead consumers regarding the consumer properties and qualities of the product.

If, based on the results of the publication, a proper and adequate response is not followed by the producers of water that fell into the "black list", OZPP "Roskontrol", in order to ensure the safety of consumers and protect their rights, officially apply to supervisory, law enforcement agencies and judicial authorities.

In addition, in accordance with the Federal Laws "On the Procedure for Considering Appeals of Citizens of the Russian Federation" and "On the Mass Media", the publication of an offense in the media is a signal for state bodies to check the arguments set forth in the publication and take comprehensive measures, up to bringing to disciplinary, administrative and criminal liability.

In our world there are a lot of different mineral waters, each of which is endowed with its own unique feature. All of them can be different in mineral composition, as well as treat for various diseases. And today, we want to tell you about the ten best mineral waters in the world and Russia. You will learn which water is better to buy and how to distinguish a fake from the original.

Before being in a container, this mineral water passes a difficult and thorny path 400 km long through the rocks of Nepal. The source, discovered in 1997, is, in fact, a gift from ancient glaciers, whose melt water formed the basis of this variety. Enriched with an impressive amount of trace elements and minerals, thanks to its long underground journey, this life-giving moisture is extremely beneficial for human health and immunity. This can be seen, taking into account the fact that the monks of Tibet use exclusively this water, considering it the most suitable for all living things.

This type of mineral water is perhaps the most unique on the planet, since this water is nothing more than rain that irrigates the lands of Tasmania. At first, these are just clouds making a celestial voyage 16 thousand km long in order to descend to the earth in the form of precipitation, where specially designed containers for collecting liquid await them. The main highlight is that water is collected in an area that, according to the meteorological organization, has the cleanest air on Earth. Manufacturers claim that this water is cleaner than mine water, because the water in the ground also has non-zero pollution. Water is poured into environmentally friendly containers, including a minimum of impurities in its composition. The average price per bottle is $4.

This type of water is considered one of the most popular in the world. Ask the stars of show business and movies what they drink, and you will hear the name "Voss". Also, this water is supplied in elite five-star hotels. In many ways, water has gained its fame due to its chemical composition and the fact that it is the champion in the minimum salt content. That is why it is so soft and beloved in dozens of states. The source of the main water source is located in the southern part of Norway, from where the mineral queen diverges around the world. The unit price of a bottle fluctuates on average from 8 US dollars.

Already from the name you can understand that the birthplace of this water is the island of Fiji, in particular, the Yugara Valley of Viti Levu. Manufacturers carefully monitor that water does not come into contact with air, just as it existed in natural conditions under the remains of an ancient volcano crater, tightly closed from all sides. The first contact of water with air occurs only after opening the lid. Fiji mineral water has been chosen by many celebrities and politicians, including Paris Hilton, Nicole Kidman and US President Barack Obama. It is very useful for people with dermatological problems, as it boasts a large presence of fluorine, silicon and calcium, which, in addition to skin and nails, also have a great effect on hair.

This water is the real champion among mineral waters in terms of oxygen content. There is 35 times more of it here than in any other water. Thanks to this, it works very well if used, for example, after hard physical work or after active workouts in the gym. This "breathing" water came from the north-west of Europe, the city of Tilburg, in the Netherlands. Some time ago, in addition to two standard options - with and without gas, a new one appeared on the shelves - with the aroma of elder flowers and lychee. The water is bottled in interesting ball-shaped bottles of 0.33l each, and its price fluctuates around 2 euros.

The full name of this water is "Cape Karoo Natural Mineral Water", and its source is in the savannah of South Africa. In order to fully guarantee the quality of the product, manufacturers subject the water to a very detailed examination in a number of independent laboratories before it goes on sale, thereby once again confirming its health benefits. Water contains a very small amount of nitrate compounds and a neutral pH level, which makes it possible not only to ingest it, but also to use it for cosmetic purposes.

A characteristic feature of this mineral water is the complete absence of carbon at all stages of its production. The variety has its origins since 2003, and the country that gave the world this water is Iceland. Manufacturers report that their product is the basis of waterfalls and glaciers, which is true. A volcanic eruption that happened centuries ago caused the formation of a drainage basin called Olfus, from where this water comes, which tastes like a piece of ice. The shape of the bottle in the form of a volcano is also interesting, by which you can immediately determine the variety.

The famous brand of medicinal and table water, which arose back in the 30s of the 19th century in Georgia. To this day, mineral water of this brand is the main drink of a huge number of people who use it, both for preventive and healing purposes. "Borjomi" is recommended for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and digestive organs. Its composition of mineral substances has remained to this day the same as it was at the time of the discovery of the first source, of which there are now 9 pieces, located within the Borjomi Reserve.

As paradoxical as it sounds, Kona Deep is sea water. It is extracted not from natural springs and not from artificially created wells, but directly from the ocean not far from Hawaii. Studies have been carried out there for more than 30 years and revealed that, while retaining minerals and beneficial properties, at a depth of 2-3 km, the water is cleared of a number of pathogenic microorganisms and other adverse factors. This desalinated and marketed water is advised to drink during active training or during the hot season. If it seems too salty, then ordinary water can be added to it. Its price is usually a little less than $ 2.

The birthplace of this water is several natural springs near the French city of Evian-les-Bains, which is located on the shores of Lake Geneva. The history of water begins at the end of the 18th century, when it helped the noble Marquis Lessert in the treatment of kidneys and liver. Almost 200 years later, water has gained worldwide fame, and now, despite the comparative high cost, it is very popular on all continents. Its benefits are not limited to the liver and kidneys, but extend to the entire gastrointestinal tract. Due to the mineral balance, it is very useful for pregnant women and children. Its quality is confirmed by the fact that the water is not artificially purified, but, spilling at the source, retains the authentic taste and purity.

The best mineral water in Russia

All these waters are considered elite, you will not find some of them in Russia, and their prices simply “bite”. Remember that expensive price does not always mean quality, as a rule, this is the fault of excessive marketing. But do not be upset, we can also find good mineral water, which in its composition can compete with the leaders of the rating. Here are some high-quality, not very expensive and healthy mineral waters that can be found on the shelves in Russia:

  • Narzan
  • Slavyanovskaya
  • Essentuki
  • Arkhyz

How to distinguish a fake

The main problem is that mineral water is very easy to fake, while the costs are minimal - tap water, soda, salt and iodine. And the worst thing is that in the Russian market about 3/4 of the water (70%) is a fake. There were cases when the police department found tens of thousands of fake bottles of water. In large supermarkets, the percentage of fakes is much lower, where you can require a quality certificate, but even it does not give a 100% guarantee.
According to the State Trade Inspectorate, such waters are most often faked as - Borjomi, Narzan, Holy Spring, Bon Aqua, Essentuki. And this is not surprising, because all of them are considered market leaders and are in great demand. Practically each of these manufacturers can be found in all stores in Russia and the CIS countries, some of them do not even produce so much water. Now we will give you some useful recommendations that will help protect you from fakes.

  • Look at the price. Making fake water is not very costly, which is why the price of such water can be much lower, and this is the very first sign of a fake. Sellers of kiosks and stalls buy water in small wholesale markets, where there are most fakes, where the price of fake water is 15-20% lower compared to the original. Be sure to look at the price, if it is lower than the average market, then it is better not to buy this water.
  • Look at the date of manufacture and container of the bottle. As a rule, the original mineral water does not stay in warehouses for a long time, and if you get a bottle with a production date more than six months ago, then it is better to refrain from buying. If the container of water is made of glass, this is a significant plus, such water is more difficult and expensive to fake, and various embossings are usually placed on its bottle and cap.
  • Look at the quality of the bottle and label.

It is known that for proper metabolism and normal functioning of the body, an adult should drink 2 to 3 liters of water per day. Information about the quality of tap water completely discourages the desire to comply with this recommendation, so more and more Russians prefer bottled water.

19 liters of health

Making the right choice among bottled water companies is not easy. Manufacturers compete fiercely with each other, so they often go for marketing tricks. Under a beautiful label, ordinary tap water that has undergone a deep cleaning process is often hidden. If there is no information about the origin of water, then most likely the water is not natural, and the required content of trace elements and minerals is achieved by technologies using various physical and chemical methods.

Dozens of companies engaged in the production and sale of bottled water operate on the St. Petersburg market. Prices vary in a very wide range - from 150 rubles / bottle (drinking water "Sosnovskaya Tsaritsa") to 610 rubles / bottle (water "Key Premium", Polyustrovo). It should be understood that cheap water, as a rule, is purified tap water. And for example, artesian physiologically complete drinking water "Aqualine Natural Premium" in a high-quality polycarbonate container costs only 250 rubles per bottle. For an objective rating water in St. Petersburg in bottles, reliable data is needed based on the results of independent examinations, which are carried out either at the request of the manufacturer or on consumer complaints, therefore, for most brands, such information is simply not available. However, on thematic forums and review sites, you can find a lot of useful information, on the basis of which you can form a consumer rating of water in bottles of 19 liters.

Taking into account the price ratio, service, information content of the label and the number of reviews, the TOP-5 rating of drinking water in St. Petersburg is as follows *:

  1. Artesian water Aqualine
  2. Mineral water Arkhyz
  3. Drinking water of deep cleaning Nestle
  4. Artesian water Spring Land
  5. Water Rosinka Polyustrovo

The quality of water in bottles of 19 liters is significantly affected by the process of preparation and washing of containers. No matter how clean the water from an artesian well is, poor-quality processing of returnable containers can cause serious microbiological contamination. And the key factor in this matter is the container itself, or rather the material from which it is made. The most common due to its low cost is PET packaging (if the container is dark blue, then it is definitely PET). But the best option is a container made of polycarbonate (an artificial substitute for glass). Polycarbonate packaging is many times more expensive than PET, but it is absolutely safe and able to withstand the most thorough sanitization, unlike PET packaging, which loses its consumer properties after just a few turns.

The systematic long-term use of drinking water, the composition of which differs significantly from the recommended one, increases the risk of the onset and progression of certain diseases. The most useful with optimal indicators of general mineralization, hardness and microelement content, which ensures the stability of the water-salt balance in the body and the normal functioning of organs and systems.
