How to fix a pole with a gate and a gate? It is necessary to squeeze out with a hydraulic jack Weld all the poles with a jumper from above, having previously aligned them. Because of this, it was concreted and kicked out, the bored piles on a non-removable formwork 30cm this winter gagged 3mm exactly, in the cold I put a washer in the loop, took it off in the spring, next winter they will be squeezed - they won’t walk anymore, not much ... You don’t have to do anything with the pole if you got out of the ground - redo the loops and that’s it.

How to align the eurofence if it is tilted? You can try to level the poles with a manual winch. But all the same, it is necessary to concrete them in a new way. He is not such a euro. Just a concrete fence Dismantle, remove the pillars and install them as expected (concrete Then reassemble.

Fence posts in old pits? If there were no stones packed around the poles Previously, there was tension with cement - the poles were so strengthened If you pull out the old poles, then you don’t need to drill It’s possible If they are not concreted, you will succeed not with a drill, but with a shovel, dig these holes. When you put new posts, throw a shovel of gravel under each one ...

How to move a concrete fence? It will be cheaper to disassemble and rearrange again. But, if there is a desire to suffer, then be patient (let the earth thaw and dry out) and start the thankless job - we dig a hole next to each pillar, to the side ... And the boundary is in your favor ?, if not, then call the concrete demolition experts. What case to answer if you have already asked STUPIDITY To demolish the fence. What else to do

Raise the fence post I can't offer anything better than taking apart 2 spans of the post. pull out a pole, make a gravel or broken brick pillow. put up a pole. to concrete It's not easier to drill a hole for the bolt Have you concreted them? Do you have a 40x40 pole? or 60x40? well, lift it up and pierce the soil with the reinforcing bar inward, as the armature pushes the soil out of the post and goes a dozen cm deeper, then push a couple of concrete trowels inside and there they are ...

Is it possible to make fence posts from an asbestos-cement pipe? What diameter is better to take a pipe, 100 or 150 mm? Can. The fence in the photo is made of asbestos-cement pipes and flat slate sheets. It has stood for 4 years and, as you can see, it has not cracked, broken or fallen on its side. All right. Fragile. How do you attach a fence to these posts? If you start to screw in a hardware screw or a bolt there, the hole will collapse, flare up and the mount will fall off.

Before screwing the piles for the new house, Alexander Turkovsky had to dismantle the old building. The most difficult thing was to remove the concrete columns of the old foundation. Rescued car winch.

Manually pulling out the concrete blocks of the columnar foundation turned out to be almost impossible. We decided to use a car winch, but for this we had to think about how to grab the column itself, and also what to grab onto with a winch. I wrapped the posts with a steel chain, which I once bought for rigging. The loop was closed with a carabiner. But the idea of what to catch on with the winch did not come right away.

Give me a foothold

I used the technique recommended for hauling a car in an open field with no support. It is as follows. The shovel is driven all the way into the ground. Due to the large area of the bayonet, the shovel in this situation plays the role of a kind of anchor. To further strengthen the position of the shovel, the top of the handle is tied with a rope to another support (for example, to the base of a smaller shovel), and if the ground is weak, then the top of the handle of the second shovel is tied to the next shovel. Thus, there is a fairly reliable support for the winch.

Iron "hand"

The first column got out of the ground well, but the second one had to be tricky. I stuck the shovel right behind the concrete path, which turned out to be a good stop, but due to the too high location of the cable hook, the shovel handle broke. I had to make a shovel with a steel pipe handle specially for this work. It turned out to be a heavy but durable tool, not suitable for digging the earth, but successfully helping to pull out the posts.

Additional tool

Sometimes it turned out that the line of ropes did not coincide with the direction of the chain, then the shovel began to fall to the side. Since the lateral force is relatively small, it is easy to compensate for it with a simple prop.

I must say that it is difficult or even impossible to do without an additional tool. With a sledgehammer, I hammered shovels into the ground. I used a narrow shovel and a garden scoop to remove the soil around the post, and with an ax with a pipe welded to it, I used a concrete block.

Can work alone

Of course, it is more convenient to pull out the blocks together, but it turned out to work with a winch and a wag alone. I pulled the winch cable all the way, and then helped to move the block with a wagon. Then the cycle was repeated until the moment when the column crawled out of the ground to such an extent that the winch traction was enough.

I must say that I do not use a car winch in normal mode. Usually the cable is doubled to make a chain hoist, but I refused this to increase the length of the cable. As practice has shown, the effort of the winch in this mode is quite enough.

My fence also needs updating and repair. Initially hired workers from Central Asia, the poles were installed without taking into account our local climatic conditions. Well, it’s understandable that they don’t have winter, and here they don’t see it. They work only in summer. Now they dance and rise higher and higher every winter. Thanks to the translation below, I now know how I will extract them from the ground. Everything ingenious is simple. Banal lever and no shovels and big holes in the ground. The main thing is to find a fulcrum and you can turn the Earth. Well, if, of course, it is very necessary.

I wanted this post to maybe help someone save a little time if they ever need to replace a fence that has wooden posts that are set into concrete and don't want to have to dig them out by hand.

Here is the story.

My most aging neighbor asked me if I would like to replace about a ten leg section from her old cedar fence and update it to the same style her neighbor had just installed. Of course I said yes.

Now, the truth is, I'm lazy, and work for it. I wanted to find a way to raise old posts that are dug into the ground into concrete without resorting to digging them out of the ground with a shovel, and thereby breaking too much sweat in the process. I wanted to be able to reuse the holes for new posts too so pulling them up was out of the question as it could lengthen the holes.

After scouring the web and finding ways to pull posts that would leave a huge hole to go back and re-dig, or hoki "hold my beer" type ideas with tools I didn't have like a tractor or a truck wheel rim, or a chain, or explosives, I decided that nothing was "out there" in bitland just enough to satisfy my needs. So, I came up with the following idea. I like it because you can pull the post from one side so you don't need anyone to hold you beer for you and then after you've finished pulling the posts you can dismantle the unit and use the parts as new posts when rebuilding a new fence , and using the same holes. Don't dig! No nails. No screws. Can I get an amen?

Step 1: Gather Some Simple Materials

For my/your post pullers, you'll need

  • Treated 2 4″ x 4″ x 10′ lumber posts
  • 2 4″ x 4″ x 1′ lumber processed pieces
  • A twenty-foot or so reserve parachute cord, twine, rope, wire, whatever
  • 1 two leg iron spike or rebar (found in home improvement centers. I used a 3/4″ diameter spike)
  • Drill
  • a 3/4″ bit (or whatever matches the diameter of your spike)
  • Concrete cinder block or crowbar, or whatever you can find for support.

Step 2: Create Your One Handed Post Puller

What you want to do is throw two long 4x4s together, sandwiching the two small pieces together as shown. tie as tight as possible, not a big problem. During use, no ropes (paracord) are applied. The cord is just there to hold the smaller pieces of timber between the long ones so that they act like wedges for laying.

Then you want to drill a hole large enough for your spike (in my case, 3/4″) through the end of one of the long 4x4's. Then do the same on the other side. Measure if you need to, I'm not like I'm quite experienced by eye/hand. You want the holes to line up so you can press the tenon as shown with little or no resistance.

You are done with the puller! Hard work, right? Or what? (In case you are a Northern sibling).

Step 3: Install The Puller On The Old Post

Now you need to drill a hole into the existing post that you want to pull. How high depends on your support material. In my case it was about 15 inches off the ground.

Insert the minus spike puller up to the old post, aligning the holes, and push the spike through three 4x4's as shown.

Now you will need to be your fulcrum.

Step 4: Add Your Supports

Place your fulcrum, in my case an old cinder block and a step, as close to the post as possible without covering any of the concrete that the post is on. Just take the supports up to the edge of the concrete as shown in the picture.

Step 5: Pull out the EP Post!

Walk to the far end of your post puller, and with one hand hold your drink of choice, use your other hand to push down on the handle lever. See how easy it is?

Step 6: Hard To Get To The Medical

Hard to reach posts are not suitable for your new puller post, either. You can push the tenon through the hole, and with a puller from the side, as shown in the picture. Worked great! Picked it up straight and without damaging the other fence that I had to duel when I repaired her fence.

Step 7: Thanks...

Thanks to this wonderful community. I have received a lot of help from instructables in my life and hope this helps someone else.

Thinking is hard, so you can work less!

Sooner or later, each owner on the site has such a situation when you need to remove a pole from the ground. But what is the best way to do this if the pillar has a concrete base in addition. In fact, all you need is "golden hands" and a car jack. Here is a method that will solve the problem in less than an hour.

Instruments

To remove the post from the ground, along with the concrete base, you will need some tools: a car jack and blocks of wood. Large, long bolts and a saw will come in handy. In general, finding all the necessary tools is not difficult. No special gadgets are required for extraction.

Extraction technique

In order to remove the pole from the ground along with the base, first you need to cut it down so that its height does not exceed 1 meter. Now, to the remaining clean, you need to attach a bar into which our jack will rest. It must be securely fixed. Best of all, two hefty bolts.

Now you need to prepare a support for the jack. It must necessarily rest on free ground and be at some distance from the concrete base. To create it, you can use several bars. It should be taken with a margin, as it will gradually need to increase the height of the base.

The rest of the column extraction technology is extremely simple. We put the jack on the base and bring it under the stop, we begin to raise it. After some time, when the upward movement of the column becomes too difficult, we remove the jack and increase the height of our stand. We put the jack - we twist. This procedure should be repeated until the end.
