WorldGuard Flags

Flags allow you to configure various region settings. This is not a complete list of flags, just the ones that players are allowed to use.

Our servers use different versions of WorldGuard. Some features may not be available on the server, depending on which server you are playing on.

  • RedPower Servers - WorldGuard 5.7
  • All other servers (Minecraft 1.7.10+) - WorldGuard 6.1

Flags are set using the command: /region flag<название_региона> <название_флага>[flag_value]
To reset a flag, enter this command without specifying a flag value.

Flag types and their meanings

Flags are of several types. The type of the flag determines what values we can use for it. Below is a table of flag types and their meanings.

List of flags

We did not describe the entire list of WorldGuard flags because there are a lot of them. Only those that are available for change to players are listed here.

In addition to the value, state flags have one more property - the group that the flag value acts on.

For example: /rg flag myhome use -g all deny

Everyone knows that Minecraft is a very interesting game in which the user is practically not limited in possibilities. He can use a large number of blocks, resources, weapons and tools to diversify the process. And it really works. It would seem that a fairly simple concept of the game, but it captivates and addictive for many hours, does not bother, because you constantly discover something new, exciting. However, at the same time, many people do not even know that they can make Minecraft even more fun. To do this, they need to install just one plugin, which will completely change their idea of multiplayer mode. This is WorldGuard, which you can of course install for single player as well, but it won't be as useful there as it is in multiplayer. Its most important advantage is the flags, in Minecraft they are of great importance.

Plugin Installation

If we consider all the modifications to the game, then WorldGuard is probably the most popular. It adds flags to Minecraft, which gives you a lot more options when playing the game than you had before. You will be able to prescribe a variety of commands that will operate in your world. You can download the plugin on many resources, so installing it will not be a problem. Naturally, you can play without it, but you can take our word for it - with this modification, the gameplay becomes much more multifaceted. Therefore, you should definitely consider installing this plugin, because flags in Minecraft have recently been an integral part of the gameplay in multiplayer battles.

Many users are surprised by the need for this plugin. After all, multi-colored flags in Minecraft can be set without installing any add-ons. In fact, those flags that you are used to putting in the game as decorations or marks have nothing to do with those used in the above-mentioned plugin.

Here the flag is a special command that affects the world in a certain way, changes it in some aspect. Therefore, these two concepts should not be confused, because they pursue completely different goals and have a different impact on the outside world. But then a completely logical question arises - how to put a flag in Minecraft? If this is an ordinary command, then what needs to be done for this?

Activating command flags

The commands that are added to the game with the installation of the plugin are called "region flags". In Minecraft, they do not apply to the whole world, because it would be too much - then each player could become a kind of administrator, since he would have the opportunity to influence absolutely everything. These teams operate exclusively within the region specifically specified by the player, which, by the way, is also marked with its own flags.

To use these commands, you need to remember the basic combination to activate them. In the line you need to write / region flag, after which you need to specify the name of the region in which the command will operate, then the flag itself and the variable that will be applied to it. At first glance, all this looks quite complicated and tricky, but if you spend a little time, figure it out and practice, you will quickly understand everything. And this will no longer be a problem for you - you will know how to set a flag in Minecraft, what they are, and what kind of variables you need to apply to them.

Variety of flags

The game has a huge number of different flags that are added when installing the plugin. You can do almost everything in your region - enable or disable PVP, disable damage, deactivate all mechanisms and the action of electric current, and so on.

All this can be done by studying the plugin manual - after all, there are several dozen commands in it, and each of them is unique, it changes some specific aspect of virtual reality.

Variables applied to flags

However, specifying one flag will not lead to anything, since it is only the basis of the command. It sets a parameter that will need to be changed in some way. But the data that needs to be changed is set by the variables. There are also plenty of them in the game, but not as many as the flags themselves.

The most commonly used variables are those that disable or enable a particular feature. But there are also more specific ones that allow you to more flexibly manage your capabilities. For example, in addition to enabling or disabling damage from mobs, you can set double damage or, conversely, half. All this is possible with these commands. You can use variables to set coordinates, specify user lists, and so on. As you understand, with the help of such a variety of commands, you can transform the game beyond recognition, at least within your region, and this is already quite enough.

Starting from version 1.8, the minecraft game has flags that can add additional variety to your building. You can also, for example, mark on your flag such a significant event as the head of a wither mined in hell. If you suddenly don’t know how to craft a flag, then here is the recipe:

To craft it, you need six wool and a stick. The game has 16 colors that can be used to dye wool, respectively, 16 multi-colored flags are available, ready for drawing.

The drawing on the flag is applied with the help of a dye - which is very logical, but there are also stencils that several game items turn into. A flag, a stencil, and a bunch of dye, and you've got a design that's not available if you just use dye.

Drawing process

  • This requires a workbench, a flag, dye and a stencil if needed.
  • The flag or stencil can be placed anywhere, but where the dye will be is crucial.
  • The stencil disappears after use, leaving behind only a trace on the cloth.
Here is a picture of how to draw on the flag:

As already mentioned, you can draw with any dye available in the game. All this is done on a workbench, and from the picture it is intuitively quite clear what and how to lay in order to ennoble the flag.

Layers

In total, it is possible to apply six layers, of which the overall visual effect will consist. Here is an example of a couple of random colors:

On the first flag there is a red triangle and a rhombus, on top of which the head of a creeper is stencilled.
On the second flag is a chamomile with red dye, on top of it is a vine with green.
The next one has a frill on top and bottom, a rhombus and an enchanted golden apple, again with green dye.
The last flag has an orange gradient from top to bottom and a wither head with black dye.

Composition from a group of flags

This item is for builders who are used to thinking big. If you craft more flags with different patterns, meaning their use on the walls, you can get additional graphic effects.
Here are a couple of examples:

Reputation

If you make a flag that you spend the head of a wither on, then it will tell an experienced player that you were in hell, found a castle there, fought off ifrits, dodged Gast and fought with withers, until one day one of them dropped his head . Of course, you took possession of it and managed not to lose it while getting out into the normal world. How did you manage to do all this? Most likely, you were wearing a diamond set enchanted for all possible defenses and a diamond enchanted sword that kills in two or three hits. That is what the experienced player will assume. Thus, the flag with the head of the wither will indicate that most likely you are very developed and experienced.

If you build a large and beautiful building richly decorated with flags, it will show that you are not only a good architect, but also a skilled farmer who regularly shears his sheep, which do not starve.

In order to make your own flag, you need to figure out what it is and why it is needed in minecraft. In simple terms, this is an ordinary block, the height of which is two blocks. The structure is not solid. It can be installed in various ways: from above, from the side, as you wish. You can also use it as a headdress, which is quite convenient and original in minecraft.

Regular and colored flags

Such a fun addition is available from 14w30a version of minecraft 1.8. If you have an earlier version, then you will not be able to download and install. To make a flag, you will need the following ingredients: one stick and six units of wool. The stick must be placed in the center of the bottom vertical row, and three wool blocks in the middle and top row of the crafting grid. The manufactured flag will be colorless.

If you want to make it colored, then there is nothing difficult, you can use sixteen dyes. One canvas involves the use of no more than six different ornaments and patterns: triangles, rhombuses, squares, narrow or wide stripes, scallops, relief, circles, various figures. It is possible to decorate everything with the emblem of the Jolly Roger, gear, as well as the face of a creeper (more in the article).

In addition to the dyes presented, you can use brick, liana, golden apple, bone meal, nivyanik. Such ingredients are quite difficult to find and get in minecraft, but if you try and make a flag using them, you will show your individuality, solidity and authority. With the help of such an interesting flag, you can decorate your own plot, home, or wear it on your head. If you are traveling or just walking, you can mark beautiful and interesting places with the help of flags made by your own hands and labors.

How to place on the head

In order to place on your head, you must use a specially designed team. It must be entered into the console that opens, namely:

/replaceitem entity @p slot.armor.head minecraft:banner 1 15 (BlockEntityTag:(Base:0,Patterns:[(Pattern:"hh",Color:1)])).

There are also special modifications that can add a flag to the game. The most popular program among the rest is WorldGuard. It adds a lot of flags to minecraft, and this gives advantages and options that were not there before. Now you can prescribe various commands, and they will be implemented and act in your virtual world.
