This homemade product is very cool and I think almost everyone who has extra Chinese motor gearboxes can do it. Of course, there is not much practical benefit from such a homemade product, but with its help, you can entertain a child, and generally entertain yourself in a boring time. In short, today we will consider a simple way to make electric platforms for moving on a flat surface. I think that this homemade product will seem at least a little interesting to many. Personally, I really liked her.

Well, homemade is very interesting, so let's not delay with a long preface, let's go!

And so, in order to make such electric "roller skates" we need:
- ten Chinese motor reducers
- board for charging lithium-ion batteries type 18650 (BMS S2)
- 18650 type batteries (8 pieces in total will be needed)
- two plastic boxes for four 18650 batteries each
- not very thick plywood
-powerful resistor 1 ohm, 5 watts
- socket type "mother" for the classic connector of the twelve-volt power supply
- power on/off button
- Velcro tapes
- one wheel for each geared motor
- wires of red and black color, so as not to get confused
- strong metal plate 1 mm thick
- bolts, nuts and washers according to the diameter of the drill that you will use

Of the tools you will also need:
- hot glue
- soldering iron
- screwdriver or eclectic drill
- metal scissors

The first step is to draw on a piece of paper the entire wiring diagram in the constitution. The author of the homemade product kindly showed the diagram of the entire device, so there should not be any problems.

And so, then we take a pencil, a ruler and a plywood sheet. Then we draw on the sheet an even rectangle with sides of eighteen and thirty-eight centimeters. The resulting rectangle is cut out using an electric jigsaw. Everything should turn out smoothly. If necessary, sand the edges of the workpiece a little with ordinary fine sandpaper, it will help remove chips and splinters from the edges.

Now, with the help of the same ruler and pencil, we make markings for gear motors on both longest sides of the workpiece:









We take a screwdriver and a drill with a diameter like that of the bolts with which we will fasten the metal plate. We drill equal through holes in the marks made earlier. Everything should turn out as in the photo below. That is, four holes on each side parallel to each other and one more small hole next to the extreme hole on one side, everything is clearly shown in the photo.
We take the motors and with the help of thermal glue, glue them well to the plywood blank. On each side, you need to glue five gear motors, parallel to each other:









Now take a box for connecting 18650 batteries and glue it, as shown in the photo below. It should be located between both rows of motors, closer to the back of the constitution.

Then you need to take wires, a battery charging module, a connector for a power supply, connectors, a switch and a 1 ohm resistor. After that, we begin to solder all the electronic components into one electrical circuit, doing everything exactly according to the scheme that is at the beginning of the article. It is necessary to solder carefully so that everything is clear and even. We place the battery charging module closer to the batteries themselves in order to avoid large losses due to resistance, glue the resistor next to the socket for the power supply, and glue the socket itself on the front of the structure, exactly in the center. What does the socket need to be glued so that it is convenient to connect the power supply for charging. The switch should be connected to long wires, the length of these wires should be sufficient so that when you stand on this platform, you can safely hold the switch in your hand and control it, and the wires would not get in the way, dangling under your feet. Of course, as for me, the control of the entire structure could be made wireless by adding a couple of arduinos and special wireless control modules specifically for them, but yes, this homemade product would cost more and make it more difficult, and the delay with wires is much less than wireless. Yes, and there are fewer failures.

In short, everything must be glued in the same way as in the photo below:



We install the wheels on the axis of the gearboxes. Since these wheels are designed specifically for these gearboxes, they should immediately sit well and tightly on them. But if suddenly they will easily climb off and hang out on the motor axis, then either immediately change the wheel to another one, or glue it firmly, because it’s better not to risk it:

We insert charged batteries into the box and test the installation.

If, when the switch is turned on, all the motors begin to rotate the wheels in one direction, and the wagon starts to drive smoothly, and when it is turned off, it naturally stops moving, then everything is done correctly. If one or more motors rotate in the wrong direction, then you just need to solder the wires on this motor, that is, swap the red and black wires:



We take a metal sheet one millimeter thick and a ruler with a marker. Then we draw another rectangle with sides of eighteen and thirty-eight centimeters. Then cut out with metal scissors. But when cutting, be very careful and do not forget about safety!

In this workpiece, it is also necessary to drill eight identical holes parallel to each other. These holes should match the holes on the plywood blank that was made earlier.

Then we put the metal blank on an unnecessary cardboard or plywood and cover it with a layer of paint (the author used gray and, as for me, it looks pretty good). It is necessary to do painting in a well-ventilated place, and preferably on the street. And it is necessary to work in a respirator and preferably in protective glasses:



We cover the overall structure with a metal blank and make adjustments so that all the holes coincide with each other.
Then we take the bolts, nuts and washers and connect both parts together as shown in the photo below. As you can see, the metal sheet must be in contact with the gearmotors:



We take Velcro tapes and use them to make fastenings for the legs on the metal part of the structure.
By the way, you can replace that the wires from the switch must pass through an additional hole on one side of the plywood plate:

Now you need to make a second, exactly the same design as the first, but you do not need to connect your switch to it. The second design must be connected to the first switch, thereby making a common control button. Both constructs should work the same way.

Also, all joints must be insulated with heat shrink or electrical tape:



Well that's all! Simple electric "roller skates" are ready and it remains only to test them. To do this, first we charge both constitutions. And then we stand on them and attach the feet to the structures with the help of Velcro fasteners. It is necessary to stand evenly and accurately on the structures. Then we pick up the control button and start driving!

Of course, the speed is not very high, but for entertainment and leisure, such a homemade product is perfect. Of course, it was possible to add several diodes to the overall design scheme, but it works without them. Also, it would be possible to add a small LED backlight, it would be cool. But this homemade product is very cool without it.

The desired type of ridge depends on the design features of the roof and the personal aesthetic ideas of the owner of the house.

For the manufacture of the ridge element, the same material is most often used as for the roof:

  1. Roll materials. In the case of using this material, the installation process will be the easiest. Wide strips (1 m) are cut out of the material, the length of which is usually 2 m. The strips are laid on the roof and fixed in the same way as the rest of the material.
  2. Ceramic tiles are often used to cover the roof. In this case, you need to keep in mind that parts for a skate made of this material can be found on sale. They are fixed with wire and special solutions.
  3. Metal. Currently, galvanized iron is commonly used. Roofing iron is not so popular. First, a metal sheet is laid on a work surface and markings are applied. Usually such a sheet is enough for the manufacture of 1 to 3 blanks. Another lead-in exercise without taking your skates off the ice. First, try to snake back.

Put your feet together, bend your knees slightly, spread your arms to the sides and move them slightly forward so that they are in front of the body.

From this position, turn the toes of both feet and knees to the left, and the shoulders to the right. Then reverse the position.

During the movement, do not look at the ice, look ahead of you. A lowered head will provide an unnecessary tilt of the body, which will prevent you from performing a snake.

You can start this movement at the side to give yourself momentum, and actively move your arms, turning your body.

With the same snake, you can move forward, alternately turning both legs to the left, then to the right.

Sliding with one foot takeoff

It is time to move on to sliding with alternate right and left foot take-off.

Put your feet together, slightly bend your knees. Turn the toe of your right foot outward 45 degrees and push off the ice as you slide forward on your left foot. Then repeat the same with the other leg.

At first, you can substitute the second leg immediately after repulsion and ride on two. Then try to maintain balance a little longer, balancing on one leg and only then substituting the second for it.

Do not forget about the correct position: the shoulders and hips look forward, the stomach is pulled in, the arms are apart and slightly forward, the gaze is directed straight ahead.

7. Learn to slow down

There are three options for stopping traffic. Try them out and decide which is more convenient for you.

hockey

Turn both feet toes inward and spread them wider. In this case, the skates move to the inner ribs.

With one foot in front

Step one foot forward and turn it with the heel out so that the blade is on the inside edge across the motion.

T-stop

Turn the toe of the back foot outward and press the middle of the foot against the heel of the front foot, making the letter "T". Tilt your pelvis slightly forward.

8. Follow safety precautions

  • Move around in a counterclockwise direction. So that the skaters do not collide, the movement on the rink occurs in one direction.
