A palm tree made from plastic bottles creates an unusual harmony in the garden or on the plot. It seems that you are relaxing on the seashore, and around are palm trees and sand)))). Today, dear friends, we will consider two interesting master classes on making a beautiful palm tree from plastic bottles with our own hands, the author of these master classes is Olga Akimova And Safter Eshilev. It's no secret that the plastic bottle has won over many of us because it's a clean material that's very light and easy to use. In addition, more importantly, it is a cheap material, which is of great importance for many. Bottle crafts will last a very long time, because we all know that a bottle decomposes for a very long time. Therefore, by making crafts from them, we clean up the environment and create something interesting and beautiful for ourselves. If you suddenly have accumulated a lot of plastic bottles, then the time has come to use them for their intended purpose, which means you can make a beautiful palm tree out of them, for example.
Probably many of us want the summer to last longer on their site, that's just the palm tree from the bottles and will become a decoration on the site and extend the summer period for us at least a little in our imagination. Making a palm tree says Olga is very easy, even a beginner can handle this task.

* Scissors.
* Metal rod.
* Drill.

How to make a palm tree from bottles:
Before manufacturing, it would be good to understand first what size we will make a palm tree and where we will install it with you. If you have children, then make them such a palm tree on the playground. Believe me, children really like such crafts and they are happy to play near them.
We take plastic bottles and see that we have them all clean, if there are dirty ones, then they need to be washed. Be sure to remove all labels from the bottles and then you can start manufacturing.

We take brown bottles and cut off the bottom of them to the height we need.

Now we need to make the branches of our palm tree, for this we take a green plastic bottle and cut it lengthwise almost along its entire length and then cut it along the edge (as if we were making strips-mushrooms).

We take a drill and start using it to make holes in each blank from a brown bottle. The holes should be the same diameter as a metal bar.

We have all done the blanks, we proceed to the assembly of the palm tree, we will make the trunk. We take brown bottles and bend the teeth from them outwards, and then we start putting them on a metal rod. In turn, insert the bottle into the bottle, look like in the photo.

From above, when the trunk is ready, we put on the leaves that were made from a green bottle. We fix the leaves on the tree like this: when the mode is the last bottle on the leaves, we leave the neck with the cork. we make a hole in the cork the size of a metal rod and tightly fit it, it holds perfectly, no other fasteners are needed.
That's all, the palm tree from plastic bottles is ready. Look at what beauty Olga turned out to be, and most importantly, such crafts will last you a very long time and they are not afraid of rain or frost.

Palm tree from plastic bottles with coconuts

Different palm trees are needed, different palm trees are important. Sasha got a slightly different but also very interesting and beautiful palm tree, moreover, with coconuts. Let's also consider the process of making it, because someone will like this palm tree and someone else, everyone has different tastes.

To make a palm tree, we need:
* Green plastic bottles.
* Brown plastic bottles.
* Scissors.
* Metal rod.
* Drill.

How to make a palm tree with coconuts:
Let's make a barrel first, take 20 brown beer bottles. So many bottles Sasha needed to make one palm tree 1 m high.

Cut off the bottom of the bottle closer to the base. We cut the bottle then into five parts.

Now we will make the bottom foliage from the green bottle. We cut off the bottom and cut it into 5 parts, you will need 3 of these blanks.

Then we cut out the foliage on it as shown in the photo.

We bend the foliage as shown in the photo.

This is how it should work for you.

We take 2 liters. green plastic bottle.

Also cut off the bottom.

Cut almost along the entire length into thin strips. The ends need to be sharpened.

Here is such a blank for making palm trees turned out.

We begin to collect the lower leaves on the iron rod. First, insert the blanks that are cut into strips.

Then we insert the blanks on which the foliage was cut.

We continue, cut out from a 2 liter bottle of makhrushka

This is how the blanks should turn out.

From a 1.5 liter bottle, it is also a makhrushka mode.

For the manufacture of palm branches, blanks from 1.5 liter and 2 liter bottles will be required.

If you do not have a lot of green bottles, then transparent bottles can be painted with green paint.

Cut all bottles into strips.

We put caps on all bottles and drill 8 mm.

Bottle necks can be inserted between bottles to save bottles.

0.5 l. we cut the bottles to size and insert them at the ends of the branches.

Here are our blanks before assembly, you can get to work.

First we collect 1.5 liter bottles, and at the ends of the branches 2 liter bottles.

It remains to make coconuts, because we have a palm tree with coconuts. For this, Sasha used old balls, bound them with thin wire so that later he would have something to attach to.

We paint them brown. When dry, hang them on a palm tree.

Instead of a trunk, we use an old unnecessary pipe 15 and 2.5 meters high. We drill two 8 mm holes in it. Branches - wire rod 7 mm. 2 meters 1 meter in each direction.

Everything palm tree with coconuts is ready.

It is difficult to dispose of a lot of unnecessary plastic bottles that have accumulated in the country over the summer. But there is a simple way out of this situation. All empty containers can be turned into beautiful garden decorations. One of these decorations is a do-it-yourself palm tree made from plastic bottles. Step-by-step production and a good mood will help to cope with the task in no time.

Ways to use plastic

The process of decomposition of plastic material lasts for 100 years. In order not to pollute the environment, plastic waste has been disposed of in any area. But there are some suburban areas from which waste is not removed. In this case, conscientious summer residents take out the bottles on their own. In order not to do extra work on export, in one evening you can make a palm tree from plastic bottles. It is enough to collect all the multi-colored containers on the site. You can decorate with palm trees:

There are three ways to make a palm tree from bottles. Each of the ways will help to realize your creative fantasies and create a real work of art from plastic. This masterpiece will be a real decoration for any site.

Types of decorations for a summer cottage

There are many options for making an artificial palm tree.

Thanks to this, the appearance of the tree can be anything.

Types of structures are:

  • With smooth trunks or in the form of petals. Sometimes a log is used as a base.
  • High and low.
  • With spreading smooth leaves or fringed.

Production of large palm trees

To make a large palm tree, you will need a lot of plastic bottles. They begin to collect them in advance, involving the whole family and relatives in the process. For work you will need the following materials:

  • Plastic bottles of various colors. A trunk is made from brown containers, leaves are made from green bottles.
  • A metal rod is used for the trunk, a thick wire is used for the leaves.
  • Wide tape, scissors and a sharp knife.

What conditions to create a home money tree so that it blooms

You need to know that the more bottles are collected, the more magnificent the crown of the plant will turn out. To make the trunks and leaves look smoother and better, containers of the same size and diameter are used for manufacturing. Containers of other sizes should not be thrown away. Leaves are made from small bottles and inserted into the middle of the crown. In this place, a different amount of material will not be visible. But they cannot be used for the trunk. From narrow brown containers, trunks are constructed for other types of trees. Containers of different shades will make all crafts from plastic bottles brighter and richer. Palm step by step:

Tree with unusual leaves

In addition to a large tree, there is another way to make palm trees. It is a little more complicated, but it has a special originality. If you follow all the instructions step by step, then making a palm tree from bottles will not be difficult. The work process begins with the manufacture of the trunk:

All elements are strung on a metal bundle or cable and form a tree.

Bottle bottom construction

To make this palm tree, you will need 2 times more bottles. Because the whole structure consists of bottoms. Step by step work order:

If you additionally decorate the palm tree and the surrounding area with other crafts, then the site will look even more interesting. For example, from plastic bottles you can make monkeys, bees and pigs. Swans made from car tires look interesting.

A simple and inexpensive way to update the area near the house or on the playground can be making crafts from ordinary plastic bottles. It will take a little time and imagination, and you will be able to create from this versatile material everything that is enough for imagination. You can, for example, make a banana tree. And to make it clear to you how to do this, we created a master class on a palm tree from plastic bottles that are unnecessary in the household quickly and simply with our own hands, it has detailed step-by-step instructions and photo and video tutorials.

Such a tree will serve as a wonderful decoration for a holiday for children or a theme party. The more plastic bottles you take to create one palm tree, the taller and more magnificent it will turn out.

We make a palm tree from plastic bottles with our own hands in stages

To create a palm tree we need the following materials:

  1. Plastic bottles in different sizes and colors
  2. Scissors
  3. Scotch
  4. The basis for the future palm tree. Usually take a metal rod.
  5. The frame for the future palm tree is a thick wire or a metal pipe.
  6. Styrofoam or artificial bananas
  7. yellow paint
  8. Wire
Making a palm tree trunk:

1) In order to make a palm tree trunk, you need to take brown bottles of 1.5 liters 2 and 2.5. First you need to cut the bottle from the side of the neck by about a third. You will need the upper part, but do not rush to throw away the lower part - you can also make a trunk out of it by analogy.

2) Cut the bottom of each bottle with a heated knife. We will attach the frame of our palm tree to this cut.

it is necessary to cut into 8 equal parts that part of the bottle that has a neck. It is necessary to cut from the wide edge to the narrow one.

Now we need to make these parts of a pointed shape so that it looks like a petal.

3) We bend the resulting petals to the outside - it will look like a blossoming flower.

palm leaves:

1) In order for our banana tree to have leaves, you need to take bottles of green (preferably different shades), white and yellow. The more colors you use, the brighter the palm tree will look.

2) Cut off the edge of the neck and the base of the bottle. We cut the resulting blank from the bottom of the bottle towards the narrow part into 3 approximately equal parts, but not completely. Approximately 3 cm should remain until the end of the bottle. We give the edges of each part the shape of a narrowed semicircular petal. we begin to gently bend these petals outward in the same way as we did the trunk of a palm tree. Get something remotely resembling a three-bladed fan. Now we cut each resulting sheet from the edge to the middle. In the middle, you need to leave a little uncut space - about 2 cm. It turns out like a fringe. The narrower the strips in width you make, the more magnificent the fringe will turn out, and hence the foliage of our palm tree.

3) Now the fringe strips need to be bent in different directions. 1-bend up, 2- leave as is, 3 - down. So the sheet becomes voluminous.

4) There are 2 ways to decorate the leaves. In the first case, we leave our blanks as they are, and in the second, the blanks need to be strung on a flexible wire to make long voluminous branches. In the second case, more bottles will be needed, but the palm tree will also acquire a luxurious crown.

Palm top.

We take a bottle of dark brown color and cut it like a blank into leaves - from top to bottom into thin strips. We collect the segments and wrap them inside.

Palm tree decoration.

We cut blanks for bananas from foam plastic and paint them with yellow paint and carefully pass a thin wire through the upper part.

We collect palm trees:

1) We take a palm tree frame prepared in advance. It can be a thick wire or a metal pipe. And we begin to put the finished blanks of the barrel on the frame with the neck down. We are the first to put on larger blanks and begin to compose the details as a designer. We make up until about 30 cm is left to the edge. Try to arrange the petals of each part in a checkerboard pattern. We fix the parts at the base with glue or tape.

2) Depending on which leaves you prefer to make, there are 2 ways of attaching 1-On the remaining empty upper part of the trunk, we begin to attach palm branches. This is done in the same way as the trunk was assembled. Do not forget to use details of different colors and arrange the leaves in a checkerboard pattern. 2 - we attach the cable with the leaves strung on it to the frame of the palm tree to the very top and fix each sheet with tape.

3) Install the crown - glue the workpiece to the edge of the frame with the neck down.

4) We tie artificial bananas to palm branches

To fix our palm tree, we stick a metal pin about 30 cm deeper into the ground for stability (if desired, you can fill it with concrete), but so that at least 40 cm sticks out of the ground - to string the trunk and put our palm tree on top.

Now our plastic bottle palm tree is ready.

Palm from plastic bottles for beginners

You will need:

Plastic bottles (preferably green and brown)

Scissors

Drill or awl

A metal rod, a straight branch or a thin plastic pipe.

* To begin with, wash all bottles and remove labels from them.

1. Cut brown plastic bottles in half, then cut the bottom half in a zigzag pattern.

2. Cut the green bottles lengthwise to get several halves. Cut the fringe on both sides of each half.

3. Make a hole (drill or awl) at the bottom of each of the brown halves. The hole should be exactly the thickness of the rod.

4. Take a rod (metal, wood or plastic) and put the brown halves of the bottles on it.

5. Green bottles (palm branches) can be attached to the top of the trunk with a thin wire that is inserted into each branch and into the trunk, and its ends are twisted.

How to make a palm tree from plastic bottles

You will need:

2 liter plastic bottles

Scissors or utility knife

Wire

Plastic or wooden rod

Glue or tape.

Making a crown

1. Cut a plastic bottle in half (crosswise). Leaves will be created from the top.

2. Cut the half of the bottle into strips that go up to the neck.

* You can also cut the bottle into 4 petals, and cut each petal several times.

3. Take the wire and start stringing blanks from green bottles (palm leaves) onto it. It is worth noting that you need to tighten the lid on the very first blank, so you can fix the petiole of the green leaf with a knot. The same should be done with the last part of the bottle.

* The palm tree with about 6-7 leaves looks beautiful.

* The base of the leaves should have a long stalk to make it easier to attach the leaves to the palm.

Making a palm tree trunk

1. Cut off the bottom of a brown bottle, leaving almost the entire bottle intact.

2. Cut the bottle from bottom to top into 5 wide strips (see image).

3. Start stringing brown blanks on a strong metal, plastic or wooden rod to get these palm tree trunks.

Gathering all the details

To attach the leaves to the trunk of a palm tree, use glue or tape. It is desirable to evenly distribute the leaves in order to obtain a symmetrical crown.

Paper palm trees are great for budget decorating terraces, porches, gazebos and patios, all kinds of parties, as well as school and kindergarten holidays. These palm trees are easy to make, which even a child can handle. But even better is that for all their cheapness and elementary nature, these palm trees look really very realistic.

To you will be required:
- Long cardboard rolls from paper towels or decorative wrapping paper (for a palm tree trunk, which can be made from a wooden, metal or plastic pole / stick, and other analogues);
- Brown paper, a lot - you can crumpled, you can use paper bags that have at least 1 side of the same color - in general, everything that fits the definition;
- Thick green colored paper (you can glue ordinary colored paper in 2 layers for greater rigidity);
- Brown thin rubber bands or thin brown twine / rope;
- stapler;
- Scissors;
- Duct tape;
- A stable decorative container in which you will "plant" your palm tree;
- Decorative pebbles or small shells;
- Sand.

1. If you use cardboard rolls as a palm trunk, you will have to glue several pieces in length to get a palm of the required height. Glue as securely as possible so that the palm tree does not suddenly bend at an inopportune moment. You can even fill the rolls inside with something hard and long at the junction. If you already have a long barrel base, skip this step.

2. With your hands, tear the brown paper into pieces with deliberately jagged edges, but wide enough and long enough to be wrapped around the base of the palm trunk in a spiral with a good overlap. Before wrapping the trunk, rub the paper with your hands for a more realistic look of the palm tree in the end.

3. Secure the wrapped paper to the trunk with rubber bands or a thin brown rope. Put the rope and rubber bands with large distances between the turns so that the paper holds firmly, but its uneven edges can be bent to the sides. They wrapped the entire trunk - bend the horizontal edges of the paper away from the trunk - it will look more like palm bark.

4. Cut large leaves of the most common, slightly elongated and pointed shape from thick double-sided green paper - 8 pcs. Don't try to make them now look like long rectangles with rounded corners, like living palm trees - this is not necessary. When you attach the finished leaves to the palm tree, they will look as they should. Fold the cut leaves in half lengthwise.

6. Take 4 of the 8 finished leaves, fold them together (in a stack) with the lower tips, but direct the sheets themselves in different directions - unevenly, naturally. Fasten the folded tips 2-3 times with a stapler. Repeat with the remaining 4 sheets.

7. Crumple up a good ball of brown paper if you made the base of the palm trunk from cardboard rolls. Insert the fastened bottom ends of two “bundles” of palm leaves quite deep inside the upper stem roll opposite each other, pre-gluing both the tips and the inside of the roll with glue. Insert a ball of paper from above tightly so that the leaves do not fall out, and also to close the hole in the trunk from above. Spread the leaves and, if necessary, correct their position a little.

If the trunk doesn't have a hole, simply use glue on the top and bottom of the pinned leaf tips, then tie them tightly with thin brown string to the top of the palm trunk. Under the rope, it is also worth dropping glue everywhere.

Add-ons:

- Try to put 2-3 palm trees of different heights and leaf sizes in one large - wide and deep - container;

To make this project even more sustainable, glue newspaper leaves and tempera green, then cut out palm leaves.
