The Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation" (hereinafter - the Academy) was established in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 24, 2007 No. 345-r and on the basis of the order of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation of April 6, 2007 No. 44-sh through reorganization in the form of a merger of state educational institutions "Institute for Advanced Training of Executive Personnel of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation", "Irkutsk Institute for Advanced Training of Prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation", "St. Petersburg Law Institute of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation" and State Scientific Institution "Research Institute for the Problems of Strengthening Law and Order under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation".

Story

On the basis of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of February 28, 1996 No. 205 "On the establishment of an institute for advanced training of prosecutors in the city" and the order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation of March 13, 1996 No. 85-sh, the Institute for Advanced Training of Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation was established (Irkutsk).

On October 15, 1998, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted Decree No. 1199 “On the transformation of the Irkutsk Institute for Advanced Training of Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation into the Irkutsk Law Institute of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation”, pursuant to which the order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation of November 2, 1998 was issued 217-sh on the establishment of the Irkutsk Law Institute of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation on the basis of the Institute for Advanced Training of Prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

Based on the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 5, 2003 and the order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation of June 19, 2003 No. 54-sh, the Irkutsk Law Institute of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation was reorganized by transforming into the Irkutsk Institute for Advanced Training of Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

In pursuance of the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 24, 2007 No. 345-r, the order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation of April 6, 2007 No. 44-sh was issued on the creation of a federal state educational institution of higher professional education "Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation" by reorganization into in the form of a merger of state educational institutions "Institute for Advanced Training of Executive Personnel of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation", "Irkutsk Institute for Advanced Training of Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation", St. problems of strengthening law and order under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. In order to implement this order, the order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation dated April 25, 2007 No. 475-k “On the formation of the Irkutsk Law Institute (branch) of the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Academy of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation” was issued. The Research Institute was established in 1949 as the All-Russian Research Institute of Criminalistics under the USSR Prosecutor's Office. in 1963 it was transformed into the All-Union Institute for the Study of the Causes and Development of Crime Prevention Measures under the USSR Prosecutor's Office. In 1987, at the All-Russian Research Institute for the Problems of Strengthening Law and Order under the Prosecutor's Office of the RSFSR. In 1993, it was transformed into the Research Institute for the Problems of Strengthening Law and Order under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.
