Now we put the dumplings in the pots - about half full, so that they don’t run away when they start to expand.

And fill it with aromatic broth - so that the water does not reach the shoulders of the pot. Don't pour it to the top - it will run away. Therefore, just in case, it is better to place the pots not on a wire rack, but on a baking sheet. Even if the broth starts to pour out during boiling, the baking sheet will “catch” it.

If you pour in a little broth so that the dumplings are only lightly covered with it, you will have a second dish. And if you pour more - so that the dumplings float in the water - you will get something similar to dumpling soup in pots!

Cover the pots with lids and place in a not very hot oven. Gradually raise the temperature to 200C and bake the dumplings in the oven for about 30-35 minutes.

Taking out the pots with thick oven mitts, remove the lids and sprinkle the dumplings with grated cheese. Put it in the oven again, or maybe turn it off - the cheese will melt in the warmth, and after 5 minutes you can serve a hot dinner!

Fried dumplings


You will need:

  • dumplings – 1 kg
  • butter - 100 g
  • sour cream - 100 g
  • mayonnaise - 100 g
  • cheese - 50−100 g
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • salt, pepper - to taste

Preparation:

Remove the dumplings from the freezer in advance and let them defrost a little, or use freshly molded dumplings to prepare this recipe, or boil frozen dumplings until half cooked and drain in a colander.

Place the butter in a baking dish, melt it in an oven heated to 180-200 degrees, place the dumplings in the form, stir so that the butter is evenly distributed over them.

Place the dumplings in the oven, bake for 10 minutes, stir, pour in 100 ml of hot water and bake for another 10 minutes. Prepare the filling: mix sour cream with mayonnaise, grated cheese and finely chopped onions (you can pre-fry them), pepper and salt, stir.

Place the prepared filling on the dumplings and bake them for another 20 minutes. Serve the finished oven-fried dumplings hot.

Dumplings with cheese in the oven


Homemade delicious dumplings with butter and cheese crust are always delicious! To melt the cheese, you need to keep the dumplings in a pot or in a ceramic form for about five minutes in the oven.

Ingredients:

  • Water - 300 Milliliters
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Premium wheat flour - 3−4 cups
  • Minced pork and beef - 300−400 grams
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Butter - 50−70 grams
  • Hard cheese – 70−100 grams

Preparation

Prepare ingredients for dumplings. Set aside the cheese and butter for now; you will need them at the end of cooking. Take a deep, dry container and add three glasses (not full) of flour. Dissolve a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water (300 ml). Pour into the center. Start kneading the dough in a circular motion, then dump it on a floured table and knead into a tight dough.

Wrap it in cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes. Prepare the filling. Add finely chopped onions, salt and ground black pepper to the minced meat. Mix thoroughly. Cut a small piece of dough and roll it out thinly. Sprinkle one side of the sheet generously with flour so that it does not stick to the dumpling maker.

Place a sheet of dough, dusted side down, on the dumpling maker. Fill the cells with minced meat, do not put too much minced meat, otherwise the dumplings will get stuck. Roll out the second sheet of dough. Cover the dumpling maker with it. Sprinkle flour on top and use a rolling pin to roll over the dumpling maker.

Turn over and simply pour the dumplings onto the table. Bring the water to a boil in advance. Add salt to taste. Throw the dumplings into boiling water and stir so they don’t stick to the bottom. Cook for up to 10 minutes. Remove the finished dumplings with a slotted spoon and season with oil. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and place in a hot oven (180-200 degrees) for a few minutes to melt the cheese.

  1. Be sure to sift the flour before kneading. Let it saturate with oxygen so that the finished dough is soft and pliable;
  2. Traditional Siberian dumplings are filled with pork, venison and bear meat. You can experiment endlessly with combinations of meat varieties;
  3. A little onion and water will make the minced meat more juicy;
  4. For baking, it is better to have a container with some extra depth so that the sauce does not flow over the sides;
  5. For sauces, it is advisable to use homemade products: mayonnaise, sour cream, cream;
  6. In addition to the above sauces and additives for baking dumplings, you can use tomatoes, eggs with milk, tomato sauce and even liver;
  7. Fresh finely chopped herbs are a great addition to baked dumplings.
  8. Try cooking these dishes in a convection oven or slow cooker - a culinary masterpiece is guaranteed;
  9. During baking, be sure to cover the dish with foil or a lid so that the liquid does not evaporate and the dish does not burn.

Our water has been turned off again! And for the whole day. But you need to cook something, even the simplest one! But even to cook pasta or dumplings, you need water... Oh! And we won’t cook them!!! We will bake these dumplings in the oven with sour cream and cheese! 🙂

I knew that you can bake dumplings in the oven, and not just boil them, but somehow I still haven’t gotten around to trying it. But since our wonderful water utility is carrying out some work again, this is an excellent reason to try out an interesting and simple recipe for the oven! It’s decided - today we’ll cook dumplings in sour cream and cheese for dinner!

Ingredients:

  • Frozen dumplings – 0.5 kg;
  • Onions – 1 very large or 2 just large onions;
  • Light sour cream, 15% – 1.5-2 cups;
  • Salt, ground black pepper - to your taste;
  • Parsley, dill - several branches each;
  • Butter – 20-30 g;
  • Sunflower oil – 0.5 tablespoon;
  • Hard cheese – 100 g.

Instructions:


Melt the butter in a frying pan over low heat.




Cut the onion into thin half rings and slowly fry in oil for 8-10 minutes, stirring, until soft.






Season the sour cream with salt and pepper, add chopped parsley and sautéed onions.






Stir and you have a delicious filling for dumplings in sour cream!




Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and place frozen dumplings in it in rows, in one layer. Of course, the best are homemade dumplings, which you can make for future use and store in the freezer. Well, if you buy, then choose something more appetizing, without soy and other GMOs.




Fill the dumplings with sour cream and onion filling.




And grate cheese on top on a coarse grater.




Bake the dumplings in the oven for half an hour at 200C.




When serving, you can also top it with sour cream! Or delicious sauce, or homemade ketchup, whichever you prefer. a hearty dinner is ready!
