01.07.86
This standard establishes the general provisions of the designation system, the rules for assigning and accounting for the designations of technological documentation made on paper.
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. The designation system for technological documentation (hereinafter referred to as documentation) is designed to designate sets of documentation for products, sets of documents for technological processes (operations) and certain types technological documents (hereinafter referred to as documents) having independent application mainly in auxiliary productions in order to streamline accounting, circulation and use of information retrieval systems.
1.2. Mandatory designation is subject to:
Sets of documents for standard and group technological processes (operations) and technological instructions;
Sets of documentation, sets of documents for single technological processes used in medium-batch, large-batch and mass types of production;
Separate types of documents that have independent use, designed for processing by means of computer technology, for example, a list of equipment, a list of materials, etc.
Note. It is allowed not to designate sets of documents for single technological processes in column 4 of the main inscription in accordance with GOST 3.1103-82, provided that the code is entered in column 3 of the main inscription according to the technological classifier of machine building and instrument making parts or industry technological classifiers agreed with VNIINMASH.
The need to designate documentation for other cases is established at the industry level or by the enterprise (organization).
2.SYSTEM OF DESIGNATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL DOCUMENTATION
2.1. For sets of product documentation, sets of documents for processes (operations) and certain types of documents, the following structure and length of the code designation are established:
2.1.1. Documentation shall be coded using Arabic numerals from 0 to 9.
2.1.2. After the code of the developer organization and the code of the characteristics of the documentation, a period should be put down.
2.1.3. Ordinal registration numbers must consist of five digits from 00001 to 99999. The numbers are assigned within the code of the characteristics of the documentation and the code of the developer organization.
2.2. In order to reduce the recording of information on the designation of documentation that is not subject to processing by computer technology, transfer to another enterprise (organization) or microfilming, it is allowed not to put down the code of the developer organization.
2.3. The following main features of the characteristics of the documentation are established:
Type of documentation;
Type of technological process (operation) by organization;
Type of technological process according to the execution method.
2.4. Set the following structure and length of the documentation characteristic code:
2.5. If it is necessary to indicate the type of technological method (name of the operation), it is allowed to enter an additional sign in the designation structure of the documentation characteristic with an increase in the length of the code designation by two characters:
2.6. The documentation characteristic code is assigned by the developer of the documentation according to Table. -.
The code of the type of technological method (name of the operation) should be affixed according to the All-Union classifier technological operations mechanical engineering and instrument making (OKTO).
2.6.1. The type of technological process according to the execution method corresponds to the first stage of classification according to OKTO, for example 02110, where
02 - set of documents technological process, tab. ;
1 - single process, table;
10 - casting of metals and alloys, table. .

INSTEAD OF GOST 3.1201-74
REPUBLICATION. April 2003
This standard establishes the general provisions of the designation system, the rules for assigning and the procedure for accounting for the designations of technological documentation made on paper.
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. The designation system for technological documentation (hereinafter referred to as documentation) is intended to designate sets of documentation for products, sets of documents for technological processes (operations) and certain types of technological documents (hereinafter referred to as documents) that are independently used in the main and in auxiliary production in order to streamline accounting, circulation and use of information retrieval systems.
1.2. Mandatory designation is subject to:
- sets of documents for standard and group technological processes (operations) and technological instructions;
- sets of documentation, sets of documents for single technological processes used in medium-scale, large-scale and mass types of production;
- certain types of documents that have independent use, intended for processing by computer technology, for example, a list of equipment, a list of materials, etc.
Note. It is allowed not to designate sets of documents for single technological processes in column 4 of the main inscription in accordance with GOST 3.1103-82, provided that the code is entered in column 3 of the main inscription according to the technological classifier of machine building and instrumentation parts or industry technological classifiers agreed with VNIINMASH.
The need to designate documentation for other cases is established at the industry level or by the enterprise (organization).
2. SYSTEM OF DESIGNATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL DOCUMENTATION
2.1. For sets of product documentation, sets of documents for processes (operations) and certain types of documents, the following structure and length of the code designation are established:
2.1.1. Documents should be coded using Arabic numerals from 0 to 9.
2.1.2. After the code of the developer organization and the code of the characteristics of the documentation, a dot should be put down.
2.1.3. Ordinal registration numbers must consist of five digits from 00001 to 99999. The numbers are assigned within the code of the documentation characteristic and the code of the developer organization.
2.2. In order to reduce the recording of information on the designation of documentation that is not subject to processing by computer technology, transfer to another enterprise (organization) or microfilming, it is allowed not to put down the code of the developer organization.
2.3. The following main characteristics of the documentation are established:
- type of documentation;
- type of technological process (operation) for the organization;
- type of technological process according to the method of execution.
2.4. Set the following structure and length of the documentation characteristic code:
2.5. If it is necessary to indicate the type of technological method (name of the operation), it is allowed to introduce an additional sign into the designation structure of the documentation characteristic with an increase in the length of the code designation by two characters:
2.6. The documentation characteristic code is assigned by the documentation developer according to Tables 1-3.
The type code of the technological method (name of the operation) should be affixed according to the All-Union Classifier of Technological Operations of Mechanical Engineering and Instrumentation (OKTO).
2.6.1. The type of technological process according to the method of execution corresponds to the first stage of classification according to OKTO, for example 02110, where
02 - a set of documents of the technological process, table 1;
1 - single process, table 2;
10 - casting of metals and alloys, table 3.

Note. Code 00 should be affixed if there is no need to designate a specific type of technological process according to the manufacturing method, for example, two or more manufacturing methods are described in the set of documents for the technological process.
2.6.2. The type of technological method (name of the operation) corresponds to the second stage of classification according to OKTO, for example 0211065, where 65 is free pouring into sand molds.
2.7. In the code designation of documentation intended for the repair of products or their components, after the registration number it is allowed to put down the capital letter "P", for example 60110.00187P or 6011065.00187P.
3. RULES OF ASSIGNMENT AND PROCEDURE FOR ACCOUNTING OF DESIGNATIONS
3.1. The code of the organization - the developer of documents should be assigned in accordance with the requirements of industry-specific NTD.
3.2. The designation assigned to a document may not be used to designate another document.
3.3. Borrowed documentation should retain the designation assigned to it.
3.4. All sheets of a document made on several sheets must have the same designation.
3.5. The code of the developer organization should be put in column 4 of the main inscription above the characteristics of the documentation and the serial registration number, for example
The code of the developer organization in column 25 of the main inscription should not be affixed.
3.6. When developing certain types of documents on forms that perform the functions of other documents (MK / QC, MK / KTP, OK / CTO, etc.), they should be assigned the designation of the document whose functions they perform, i.e. MK/KTP is denoted as KTP, etc.
3.7. Ordinal registration numbers should be assigned by the service of the enterprise (organization) - the holder of the original, responsible for maintaining the designation registration card.
3.8. It is forbidden to assign serial registration numbers of canceled documents to other documents during the entire period of activity of the enterprise (organization).
3.9. The designation should be registered according to the cards for registering document designations (KUOD). It is allowed to register the accounting of designations in the journal.
3.10. Registration of KUOD should be performed according to forms 1 and 1a.
