A magical time, when the light of the new Sun is still too weak to disperse the darkness (as it was in the days when Svarog was just forging the Earth’s Firmament), and the Gates connecting Reality and Nav are wide open. This is the time to commemorate our ancestors - our grandfathers, caroling, various fortune-telling, wide public festivities and youth gatherings. Christmastide and Kupalo are tied to the movement of the Sun, therefore they need to be celebrated according to the astronomical calendar, that is, December 21 and June 21. To learn to understand the essence of ancient holidays, you need to focus not on the date, but on the meaning behind this date.

It’s also interesting to see this correlation between the times of Kolyada and Christmastide. Also on the Day of Abductions, they remember how, in the Lada era, Marena bewitched Dazhdbog (the God of summer and happiness) and even married him to herself, but the deception was still revealed, Zhiva saved Dazhdbog. And Marena, wanting undivided power, became Koshchei’s wife. From the connection between Koshchei and Marena, the Snow Queen was born. But while Dazhdbog is under the power of Morena’s spell, that is, all winter, the frosts will become more and more severe, and the blizzards will sweep everything around.

If we take only a tiny part of these long stories and legends - about the lily of the valley - this is already very deep knowledge, even on a material level. After all, our ancestors lived in harmony with natural cycles, guided not by the decrees of rulers, but by the Sun, which is not subject to any calendars. It is around January 6 that a cosmic phenomenon called PERIHELIUM occurs.
