1.1. Nails must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

Nails are made:

round cross-section - from low-carbon steel, thermally untreated wire without coating in accordance with GOST 3282-74 or from wire in accordance with other regulatory and technical documentation;

shaped section - from low-carbon steel, thermally untreated wire without coating according to regulatory and technical documentation.

1.2. (Deleted, Amendment No. 1).

1.3. Maximum deviations of the diameter of the rod of round nails must comply with the requirements .

The maximum deviations of the nominal diameter of the rod and the thickness of the nails of the shaped section must correspond to the maximum deviations of the nominal diameter and thickness of the wire of the shaped section.

1.4. Maximum deviations for the length of nails must be equal ± d

1.5. The deviation from the alignment of the head relative to the rod should not be more than:

0.1 mm - for nails with a core diameter of up to 1.2 mm inclusive;

0.2 mm - for nails with a core diameter of St. 1.2 to 1.8 mm inclusive;

0.3 mm - for nails with a core diameter of St. 1.8 to 3.0 mm inclusive;

0.5 mm - for nails with a core diameter of St. 3.0 to 4.0 mm inclusive;

0.7 mm - for nails with a core diameter of St. 4.0 mm.

1.4, 1.5.

1.6. The deviation from the roundness of the heads should not be more than:

0.4 mm - for nails with a head diameter up to 3.0 mm inclusive;

0.5 mm - for nails with a head diameter of St. 3.0 to 6.0 mm inclusive;

0.9 mm - for nails with a head diameter of St. 6.0 to 10.0 mm inclusive;

1.1 mm - for nails with a head diameter of St. 10.0 mm.

It is allowed to increase the deviation from roundness of the heads of shaped nails by 1.5 times and tar paper nails by 1.3 times compared to round nails.

(Changed edition, Amendment No. 1, 2).

1.7. The end surface of the conical head of construction and roofing nails must be corrugated, and that of other types of nails must be smooth.

1.8. The pointed part of the nail can have a round or square cross-section. The sharpening angle along the edges should not be more than 40°.

(Changed edition, Amendment No. 1).

1.9. Longitudinal flats with transverse marks from the feed knife, four-sided crumpling, minor notches and marks from split dies are allowed on the nail shaft; under the head of the nail there are diametrically located beads of metal.

The one-sided uniform deflection of the nail shaft should not be more than:

0.2 mm - for nails up to and including 30 mm long;

(Changed edition, Amendment No. 1).

3. CONTROL METHODS

3.1. Inspection of nails is carried out without the use of magnifying devices. The dimensions and location of nail surfaces are checked with a universal measuring tool or gauges.

The height of the head, the radius under the head and the sharpening angle of the nails are not checked and must be provided by the production tool.

(Changed edition, Amendment No. 1).

3.2. The deflection of nails is controlled using the device shown in

1.6. Deviations from the roundness of the heads should not be more than:

It is allowed to increase the deviation from roundness of the heads of shaped nails by 1.5 times and tar paper nails by 1.3 times compared to nails with a round section.

For nails length

up to 30 mm inclusive;

St. 30 to 50 mm inclusive;

For 2% of a batch of nails of all standard sizes, except for containers, non-falling shearing is allowed.
