We praise God to you, we confess the Lord to you, all the earth magnifies to you the eternal Father. To you all the angels, to you the heavens and all the powers, to you the cherubim and seraphim with unceasing voices cry out: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of the majesty of your glory. To you the glorious apostolic face, to you a prophetic laudatory number, to you the bright martyr army praises, to you throughout the whole universe the Holy Church confesses, the Father of incomprehensible majesty, worshiped by
Your true and only begotten Son, and Holy Comforter of the Spirit. Prayer of thanks, first.

I thank You, Lord, my God, that You did not reject me, a sinner, but made me worthy to partake of Your Holy Things. I thank You that You made me worthy, unworthy, to partake of Your most pure heavenly Gifts. But, Lord-Loving Man, who died for us and rose again and bestowed on us these terrible life-giving Mysteries for the benefit and sanctification of our souls and bodies, make them also for me, for the healing of soul and body, for the reflection of every enemy, for the enlightenment of the eyes of my heart, in the world of my spiritual strength, in firm faith, in unhypocritical love, in the enlightenment of the mind, in the observance of Thy commandments, in the multiplication of Thy divine grace and in the acquisition of Thy Kingdom; so that, being kept by them in purity before You, I always remember Your mercy and live no longer for myself, but for You, our Lord and Benefactor. And thus, leaving this life in the hope of Eternal life, I will come to a place of eternal rest, where the voices of the triumphant do not stop and where the joy of those who look at the inexpressible beauty of Your face is endless. For You are the true goal of striving and the inexplicable joy of those who love You, Christ our God, and all creation sings of You forever. Amen.

Prayer two, St. Basil the Great.

Master, Christ God, King of the ages and Creator of all peace! I thank You for all the blessings that You have given me, and for the communion of Your most pure and life-giving Mysteries. And so I pray to You, merciful and philanthropist: save me under Your protection in the shade of Your wings, and grant me with a clear conscience, until my last breath, worthy to partake of Your Holy Things for the remission of sins and eternal life. For You are the Bread of Life, the Source of sanctification, the Giver of blessings. And to You we send glory, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer three, St. Simeon Metaphrastus.

Lord, who voluntarily gave me Your flesh as food, You are the fire that burns the unworthy! Do not burn me, my Creator! But go into the members of my body, into all the joints, into the insides, into the heart, and the thorns of all my sins fell. Purify my soul, sanctify my thoughts, strengthen me in my activity, enlighten my feelings, saturate me all with fear of You. Always protect, protect, protect me from every deed and word harmful to the soul. Purify, wash, arrange me; adorn, admonish and enlighten me. Make me Your temple of the one Spirit and no longer a dwelling place of sin, so that after receiving Communion, every villain, every passion fled from me, as from Your house, as from fire. As intercessors for myself, I present to You all the saints, the chiefs of the incorporeal Forces, Your Forerunner, the wise Apostles and, above them, Your immaculate, most pure Mother. In your terrible and second coming, vouchsafe me a sinner, to stand in Your glory, through the prayers of Your Most Pure Mother and all the saints.

Prayer five, to the Most Holy Theotokos.

Most Holy Lady Theotokos, light of my darkened soul, hope, protection, refuge, consolation, my joy! I thank You that You made me worthy, unworthy, to partake of the most pure Body and the precious Blood of Your Son. Having given birth to the true Light, enlighten the spiritual eyes of my heart. Give birth to the Source of immortality, revive me, mortified by sin. Merciful God, merciful Mother, have mercy on me and give me tenderness and contrition in my heart, humility in thoughts, a return to the good thoughts of my mind, in cases of his enthusiasm. And vouchsafe me until my last breath, without being condemned, to accept the sanctuary of the most pure Mysteries for the healing of soul and body. And give me tears of repentance and thanksgiving so that I may sing and glorify Thee all the days of my life, for Thou art blessed and glorified forever. Amen.

Now you release Your servant, Lord, according to Your word, in peace, for my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to enlighten the Gentiles and the glory of Your people, Israel.

And the troparia are read to the saint, according to whose order the liturgy was celebrated. Option 1, if the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom was performed, the troparion to St. John is read:

From your lips, the grace that shone like a fiery torch enlightened the universe. She did not acquire the treasure of the love of money for the world, but she showed us the height of your humility. Option 2, if the liturgy of St. Basil the Great was performed, the troparion to St. Basil is read:

Your voice filled the whole earth, which accepted your word, which you worthily taught the foundations of the divine faith, explained the nature of everything that exists, streamlined human customs. Royal priest, reverend father, pray to Christ God for the salvation of our souls.

Having received divine grace from above, glorious Gregory, from God, and strengthened by His power, you desired to walk the path of the Gospel, - therefore, all-blessed, you received a reward for your labors from Christ - pray to Him that save our souls.

You, Father Gregory, appeared as an imitator of the Head of the shepherds of Christ, directing hosts of monks into the heavenly court, therefore you taught the sheep of Christ His commandments. We magnify You as the true Mother of God, who gave birth without illness to God the Word, worthy of greater honor than the Cherubim, and incomparably more glorious than the Seraphim.

After the Communion of the Body and Blood of the Lord, let everyone remain in purity, abstinence and laconicism, in order to worthily preserve the Christ received in himself.
