Cotton candy recipe on the machine. Homemade cotton candy - a return to childhood

Not a single holiday: a trip with parents to the park and just a weekend walk could not do without this treat. Cotton candy has been loved by everyone since childhood. It is already a pleasure just to watch how it is wound on a stick in the device with jewelry.

In fact, devices began to be used much later than the sweetness was invented. Of course, not all housewives know how to make cotton candy at home.

You need to eat a treat right away, everyone knows how quickly it melts and turns into a hard lump.

Sweetness will be obtained only from bulk sugar, lumpy or substitutes will not work.

Cooking cotton wool is a sticky business, it is better to cover the kitchen in advance from splashes and sweet drops.

You will have to work with hot syrup, it is easy for them to burn themselves, so care should be taken.

In fact, the basis for cotton candy is a blank for making cockerels or candies. Therefore, sweets can be made from the remnants of the syrup.

Cotton candy without apparatus

A step-by-step recipe for how to make cotton candy at home is not at all complicated. All we need is a saucepan and a few forks. Extremely simple and composition:

  • Sugar - 300 g
  • Water - 100 g
  • Acetic acid - drop

How to make cotton candy

We combine all these ingredients in a saucepan, heat and cook the syrup. Syrup is being prepared over low heat, sugar tends to burn.

If it's boring to eat snow-white cotton wool, add a natural dye. It can be beet juice or berry jam.

Bring the sweet liquid to a boil several times and remove from the stove. After several visits, the mass will begin to darken, become a beautiful golden hue, thicken and reach for a fork. It is very important to cook the mass, otherwise the cotton ball will not be airy and will stick together.

The most difficult thing is to wind the threads into a ball without a device. We put the forks opposite each other, we fix. With another cutlery, we pull the thread out of the pan, wrap it around the forks. The process is laborious, but if you follow all the tips, cotton candy at home should turn out no worse than in the store.

Professional cotton candy maker

The special apparatus is expensive enough that everyone can afford to have one at home. Those who still have it can very quickly make cotton candy at home. There is no need to do anything manually. Pour one and a half tablespoons of sugar into the bowl of the device and turn it on.

Ten heats up, sweet sand melts. From rotation, after about a minute, white cobwebs form. We take any stick, for example, for rolls, and try to catch the threads in a horizontal position so that the skein does not fall.

The culinary attraction is designed for one serving. To get more skeins, just add the main product. After each rotation it is necessary to wash the device.

An interesting cotton wool is obtained on the basis of jam syrup. We act in the same way, but do not pour granulated sugar, but pour a thick-sweet solution onto the heating element. By the way, it can be painted, for example, with raspberry jam, which will delight children. The balloons are pink and berry flavored.

If you want a whole palette of colors, buy food-grade natural dyes. Then the balls will be quite festive - yellow, blue, green. And all this without harm to health. True, each additional ingredient complicates the process, but if you carefully follow the instructions, everything will work out successfully.

When using the device, sticky excesses remain on the walls of the container. Don't rush to throw it away. Shape with your hands and let dry. Homemade lollipops will surprise guests no less than store-bought ones.

The syrup from heating also turns into threads and is distributed along the walls of the container. It remains only to collect the sweetness.

DIYers have learned how to make an electrical device with their own hands. It takes a few simple items to make. Of course, a home-made analogue is completely free, but this does not affect the quality in the least. We get an airy cotton treat. Assembly instructions are on the Internet and have long been tested by hostesses.

Of course, the electric method is much more convenient, many times faster and the amount of goodies can be prepared for a crowd of children. An unexpected surprise at a birthday party - a minimum of money is spent, and a treat to everyone's taste.

Who among us has not bought cotton candy? Such people, most likely, do not exist in nature. And after all, we know perfectly well that if you roll a fluffy cloud of cotton wool into a dense ball, it is unlikely that even a spoonful of sugar with dye will be collected in it, and still ... A beloved child looks with such eyes, and his memories of childhood are so sweet that they miss the treasured tray impossible to get through.

Everyone also saw how cotton candy is made. From a rotating metal cylinder, sweet threads fly out through holes, which the seller immediately picks up with a stick and begins to wind. It turns out a large lump of cotton wool, consisting of 95 percent of the air.

What and how is happening is quite clear. Sugar, mixed with coloring and flavoring, is heated in the central cylinder and begins to melt. As the cylinder rotates, the molten mass is forced through the holes under the action of centrifugal force and scatters to the sides. The seller only needs to catch these threads. Some craftsmen make not just fluffy clouds from cotton wool, but also simple figures.

How to make cotton candy at home?

The apparatus for making cotton candy can be made independently from improvised materials. For this you will need:

  • aluminum can of Coca-Cola;
  • an electric motor, for example, from an old electric razor;
  • heating element;
  • a container like a basin with high sides so that the cotton wool does not scatter throughout the kitchen.

Manufacturing process.

1. We make a central cylinder for sugar from a can.

  • We cut the jar to about half, the cut edges are slightly bent inward.
  • In the sides with a thin nail we make holes for the threads.
  • In the center of the bottom, we also make a hole for fastening.

2. We insert the axis of the electric motor into the hole in the bottom, fix it.
3. At the bottom of the pelvis, we strengthen the electric motor with a container.
The most difficult thing is to bring the cans of heating elements to the bottom. It all depends on its type. It seems that the craftsmen themselves will figure out what can be done here.
When the installation is assembled, pour a spoonful of sugar into a jar, which can be mixed with dye (or drop a little fruit juice), heat the mixture for about half a minute, and then turn on the motor. Now just have time to pick up the emerging threads with a straw or a sushi stick with rotational movements.

Surely, many people associate cotton candy with childhood, trips to the park or square, which were necessarily accompanied by eating it. Sometimes you want to remember this taste, but a family trip for a walk is not planned yet. In this case, you can make cotton candy at home with your own hands using a simple set of ingredients. Without a special apparatus, the process, of course, will be difficult, but if desired, it is quite possible to master it.

If you plan to cook this delicacy often, pampering children and yourself, it makes sense to purchase the necessary device. Its cost is relatively small, it is easy to use and completely safe.

Equipment

If you decide to purchase a device for cotton candy, or rather, for its preparation, you need to know how to use it correctly:

The process of making cotton candy on special equipment is carried out in several stages. The appliance is warming up. Pour sugar onto the disc in the amount of 1-2 tsp. Melting, the product turns into crunchy sweet threads. Now they need to be transferred to a stick.

You can use bamboo or sushi sticks. They are placed vertically in a bowl. When rotating, the threads themselves are wound around it, forming a fluffy ball. If fibers remain on the walls of the container, they can also be picked up with a cotton candy stick.

If there is a need to prepare a colored treat, you can use dyes by adding them to sugar.

This equipment allows you to quickly cook delicious sweets, but it also has its drawbacks:

  • The device is quite bulky. Its dimensions are similar to those of a food processor or slow cooker;
  • Inexpensive equipment representatives heat up very quickly, so when cotton candy is being prepared, they need to be turned off periodically. If this is not done, the device will soon fail.

Do not forget to clean the bowl of the apparatus, otherwise, over time, it will completely become covered with a sugar layer.

Having such a device, you can organize a permanent production of cotton candy. Some even think that this is a great idea for creating and growing their business.

DIY equipment

The principle of operation of the device is simple, which encourages many to independently create it. To do this, you need a simple set of materials that can be found, perhaps, in every home, and skillful hands.

Here's how you can build this device with your own hands. Clean with a file or sandpaper 2 tin caps (eg bottle caps). Make a large hole in one of them and several small ones in the second cover, connect them with a wire.

Now you need to attach a motor from some home electronic device (for example, from a hair dryer) to them. Wrap the entire structure with a wire to the board, which will become the base of the device. Using the terminals, attach the motor with the battery (you can use a crown battery).

Install thick cardboard on one side to create a partition. The device in which you can make cotton candy at home is ready and can be used as ordinary equipment. You can heat the rotating drum with a candle or a lighter.

Despite the simplicity of the design, it is not safe, so it is better to get original equipment or do without it at all. A do-it-yourself gourmet will turn out no worse than one made with the help of an apparatus.

In a skillet or pot

First, practice cooking with a small amount of ingredients. The process will require skill. In this regard, it is possible that the first couple of times you just have to practice.

Ingredients:

  • Sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • water - 0.5 cups;
  • vinegar - 2 drops;
  • fork, Chinese chopsticks.

Cooking method:

That's the whole principle of cooking. Don't forget about safety. Hot sugar syrup can burn if you're not careful when handling it.

If the first time the wool turned out not the way you expected, you don’t need to be upset - next time it will be better.

Colored treat

Colored cotton candy is especially loved by children and adults, but how to make it at home? It's absolutely not difficult. Today, there are a huge number of various dyes and food additives on sale that will allow the treat to acquire a new taste.

The most popular of the dyes: yellow curcumin, red betanin, yellow saffron, purple anthocyanin, fiery red paprika. True, when studying their composition, it becomes clear that there are very few natural ingredients - solid chemicals. When preparing a treat for children, you should not use such components.

You can make colored cotton wool using the juice of fruits and berries (strawberries, raspberries, lemons, oranges, mint syrup, etc.). It diversifies the taste and gives a beautiful color. The technology for preparing treats will not change at the same time - just add juice to the rest of the ingredients.

If you are cooking in a frying pan (or in a saucepan), use less water - the required amount of liquid will be replenished with juice. Having prepared several syrups with different additives, you can connect their threads, then the sweetness will turn out to be multi-colored.

When preparing the ingredients, it is important to consider that the sugar for making cotton candy must be of the highest quality. Do not use dyed raw materials - most likely, chemicals were used to give color, so just use natural dyes.

Somehow in my spare time I decided to make such a surprise for the children. I shoveled the entire Internet, but found only vague drawings with a disk on the engine shaft where syrup should be poured. But I was interested in the question (as well as others looking for drawings) about filling the sugar itself to obtain the final product. After spending one working day with a friend, the device was created from improvised means.
Type of finished product (not ennobled)

This required:
1. Plafond from a street lighting lamp (any other bowl will do, or a stainless steel tank from an old washing machine, but this type of lamp turned out to be a convenient fastener for the engine)
2. The motor from the car windshield wiper is already mounted in the bulb holder housing.

4. The main part is a head for filling raw materials. By trial and error, the optimal working result was determined. This required two gearboxes from gas cylinders (top caps twisted together)

The assembly itself consists in installing the head on the motor shaft, between which the heating element is mounted, as close to the top as possible.

For a fairly small cotton candy maker, you will need a few essential components. First of all, you need a base - metal or wood. The entire structure of the machine will be fixed to it. The base, or body, along the edges should have holes into which nails are hammered or cylinders are welded.

You will need an engine. Its power determines the size of all other parts of the apparatus, since the more powerful the engine, the more. You can use the engine from a tape recorder or a washing machine.

Necessary for sugar, heated during cooking, a fairly roomy bowl. Since it will heat up, the material must be safe and not melt from high temperatures.

The last element required is the power supply. It can be anything - or a 220V network.

This design reflects the principle of manufacture and can be modified and improved in any desired way.

Assembly process

The basis of a simple apparatus for making cotton wool will be a board. Carnations are driven in to secure the engine, but you can also attach the engine with wire.

A simple tape motor with several holes and a small shaft is taken into the engine. A bowl is fixed on the shaft, and with the help of holes, the engine is attached to the base.

The bowl is the most complex element in the device for the production of cotton candy. You can use small corks - from beer or ketchup. Cans of Pepsi, beer and other drinks can be used, provided that they are evenly cut. Any items are processed with sandpaper to remove all paint.

After that, a hole is made in the middle and many small holes are punched around the perimeter. In the second plug, a small hole is made in the middle and 4 more around the perimeter.

Using a wire, both parts are connected together. The upper part has a large hole in the middle, and the lower part has many small holes around the perimeter. The finished bowl is fixed on the engine. Now, in order to make the first portion of cotton candy, you only need to power the engine with an old charger.

To do this, cut off the plug from the charger (therefore, it doesn’t matter what type the charger has) and strip the wires at the end. Connect to the engine, observing the polarity, plug into the network. If the bowl moves without falling off, everything is done correctly.

Manufacturing process

You need sugar and a source of heat. Sugar is poured into a bowl and heated to a fluid state. Then the device turns on and you can collect thin threads of cotton candy with a stick.
With high humidity, a good product will not work. In this case, you can develop a design with a cover.

You can’t make a lot of cotton wool with such an apparatus, but it will be enough to please the children on Sundays.
