Screen made of plastic pipes. Pipe screen

The creative development of preschoolers in the kindergarten is one of the important stages in the formation of a growing personality.

The environment of the group, the surrounding objects contribute to curiosity, creativity, bold trials and discoveries.

Taking into account the fact that the child spends most of the daytime in the group, the surrounding space and the interior in it become part of the gaming and educational process. The more opportunities you have children to realize their own fantasies, the easier it is for the teacher to direct the learning process in the right direction.

The child treats objects and space as a resource, seeing them as opportunities for realizing his plan.

One of the interior details that can help in the creative development and organization of the life of the group is a stylized. Being an important attribute of theatrical performances, with a touch of mystery, it causes genuine delight and curiosity among kids.

The simplest puppet theater attracts kids much more than painted fictional characters.

Depending on the size, with screens you can put on skits for both puppet theater and real little actors, adding entertainment to the process and increasing interest.

The screen in this case becomes an urgently needed item.

If the group’s budget does not allow purchasing a ready-made version, and the desire to organize a theater group from children Yes - you can make your own do-it-yourself screen made of plastic pipes for a kindergarten.

The design of this multifunctional device is very simple.

Depending on purpose of use and age children you can make different designs.

It can be a large theatrical screen in full growth.

Or a small desktop version of the screen to independently show scenes with puppet characters.

An important factor is the ease and versatility of the design: children they really appreciate the rare opportunity to independently change the arrangement of interior items, using them not as a mandatory established order, but as a resource for the implementation of ideas.

This develops control skills and also gives more room for play and creativity.

Usually the standard model pvc pipe screens made with three sections.

It is enough to collect 3 frames, connect them together and close them with beautifully designed curtains.

However, this is not a mandatory rule, and if desired and available material you can make more framework components. The design of the fabric stretched over the frame depends only on personal preferences - you can choose it along with children from several options by making removable covers on fasteners with Velcro.

When choosing covers, you can show your imagination and creativity.

Different color schemes of covers can be associated with the seasons or themed holidays. For example, a green background in the spring, yellow and orange - with the onset of autumn, blue or blue - in the winter season.

Here for the teacher a large field for imagination.

Materials and tools

Making a screen from plastic pipes with your own hands does not require large expenses. Propylene will be required pipes of various lengths, plastic corners and bilateral fastenings - for connection of sections among themselves.

All this can be taken after a recent repair, or purchased at any specialized repair shop.

The pipes are connected to each other using a plastic corner.

Sections are interconnected by special double fasteners.

A special welding machine can be a good help plastic pipes from propylene, which is used during installation by professional plumbers.

If there is no place to borrow it, you can also use the method of conventional heating over the stove.

pvc pipes optional can be painted over. For durability, you should use a mixture of putty and regular gouache.

Different ways to use multifunctional screens in kindergarten are suggested by the children themselves.

For sewing covers, you can use any available fabric. It must be remembered that it must be durable and easy to wash, since children's games are fraught with various consequences for any furniture, andwill not be an exception.

The material is best to choose bright and colorful.

Depending on the design, Velcro fasteners, ribbons or garter laces may be needed, additional material for pockets or loops, as well as reliable glue.

Due to the observance of the principle of accessibility, children have the opportunity to independently change the space in their group at any time.

Manufacturing process

Step by step manufacturing instructions Screens of the Kindergarten simple enough.

  1. After the dimensions of the future screens, you need to cut pvc pipes to the desired length. This can be done either by yourself (plastic material doesn't take much effort).

    You can ask to make a cut during the purchase in the store.

  2. Next, we fasten the frames of the sections with the help of corner joints.

    All material is quite strong and durable to use.

    Here you will need either a special apparatus, or small physical efforts to heat and insert the profile plastic pipe into a corner.

    The manufacturing process is simple and will take you a little time.

    Now it's time to do the next step: sewing covers.

    The cover can carry a semantic load.

  3. The area of the selected fabric should correspond to the size of the frame section. It is recommended to stitch the edges of the segment. Velcro fasteners or loops are sewn or glued on the upper side of the future cover.

    Covers can be of different colors, from solid pastel colors to bright and delicate children's drawings.

  4. If the assembled screen painting is required - we carry it out in a well-ventilated area, let the structure dry.

    Intersection fasteners are best painted separately so that they do not lose their functionality.

  5. The final stage is decoration. On stretched covers, you can stick colorful applications or sew on small pockets.

    These additions will develop motor skills in children and further increase the functionality of the new screen, allowing it to be used in various games and performances.

    VIDEO: What you can do with your own hands from plastic pipes.

    A screen is a very effective solution for zoning a room. But the space cost of such a partition in art studios inspires creativity, right? A self-made screen made of plastic pipes can become a multifunctional piece of furniture in a bedroom, studio apartment, children's room and more.

    Do you want to make a partition with your own hands, but do not know where to start? We will help you deal with this issue - the article provides recommendations for creating a screen design project, preparing materials suitable for it.

    And also the process of manufacturing a partition from pipes is described in detail, photo options for screens that can be made by hand using improvised materials are considered. As a visual aid, thematic videos with instructions for self-production were selected.

    The project of the future partition depends entirely on the functions that it has to perform, and on the time available for the implementation of ideas.

    Depending on the purpose of the screen, they can perform the following functions:

    • decorative- the partition is used to decorate the interior of the room, being an artistically designed object;
    • division of space- the screen visually divides the room into zones, which is often used by designers in large rooms;
    • implementation of creative ideas- a small screen of pipes acts as a theatrical inventory when performances are staged at home.

    For the project, the size of the future product is also important, so you should immediately decide on its function. Most often, partitions are made of plastic for a kindergarten group, for playing a table puppet theater, for household needs, for zoning a one-room apartment, trying to separate an office from a bedroom or living room.

    And also, this is a favorite craft of creative and creative craftswomen who prefer to make an unusual and completely unique thing with their own hands.

    In principle, it is not difficult to buy a screen for every taste and size - manufacturers offer a huge range of different purposes from a variety of materials.

    It is convenient to use a special tool for connecting plastic pipes - a soldering iron. If it is not there, then you can use a burner or a lighter to heat the junction of the fitting and pipe

    Plastic products have firmly entered our everyday life, imperceptibly displacing many of their counterparts. And the most common among all such products are PVC pipes, which, due to their low cost and practicality of use, are found everywhere. And today we will talk about how to use them in a non-standard way and what interesting things you can do with your own hands.

    It is difficult to list all the products that you can do with your own hands, having only fragments of building materials at hand, as well as fasteners for connecting them. Using such raw materials, you can create incredible and necessary things.

    There are really countless ideas for creating crafts from simple hollow objects. These can be both ordinary organizers for organizing a workspace and stands for a laptop or tablet, as well as designer masterpieces (chairs, beds, coffee tables and other furniture) that emphasize the individuality of a person.

    Do-it-yourself objects and products made of polypropylene pipes are the most suitable activity for people with a rich imagination. At the same time, they do not have to purchase specialized equipment and tools for the production of homemade plastic crafts, because such materials can be joined quite simply.

    Such designs can be:

    1. Collapsible, the installation process of which is simplified through the use of fittings, connectors, angles and tees.
    2. One-piece, for the assembly of which you will need a special mounting adhesive for plastic or bolts.

    And, if the second method is more suitable for stationary interior products, then craftsmen interested in the production of seasonal items turn to the first installation method. For example: a folding fishing chair, a greenhouse, a canopy and an arbor, a garden swing, etc. Such structures can be easily assembled in anticipation of the season, and then put away for storage without worrying that they will deteriorate in winter.

    Crafts from hollow PVC pipes have a huge number of advantages. Among the main ones are the durability of raw materials and the aesthetic appearance of finished products. The relative cheapness of materials is also important, which is a great temptation for many who want to try their hand at creating universal plastic items.

    Other benefits include:

    1. Practical installation and operation.
    2. Structural strength due to the high density of raw materials.
    3. A variety of options for crafts (configurations, sizes, appearance).
    4. The ability to create exclusive author's items, which can later be put up for sale or presented as a gift.
    5. Absolute safety and non-toxicity of raw materials, allowing the use of crafts in a variety of rooms and conditions.

    Whatever design you decide to create, you should remember that the main raw materials (pipe cuts) can be obtained quite easily, but you will have to prepare fasteners and tools in advance. The same bolts, plugs and fittings - you will need to pre-calculate how many of these or other parts will be needed.

    In addition, it is also necessary to prepare auxiliary tools that can be useful in the process of creating an exclusive:

    • pencil and ruler / tape measure;
    • drill and screwdriver;
    • glue or screws.

    If you decide to bend materials to obtain a product of a certain shape, first consider how you can achieve the desired result. In general, crafts from fragments of plastic pipes are made easily and simply, as you can see by reading this article to the end.

    Ideas for preschool

    Very often, PVC pipes are used as the most optimal raw material for the manufacture of furniture and household items for children. For example, small chairs, low tables, screens for playing areas, football goals for outdoor games, etc. are very popular. There are many more useful and interesting things for the manufacture of which inexpensive PVC pipes are suitable.

    For example, to organize leisure activities for children in kindergarten, you can make a mobile puppet theater yourself. Moreover, you only need a few pieces of pipe and connecting elements to create a frame-frame, as well as matter for a curtain. The result can be a very attractive, and most importantly, an invention that is necessary for a kindergarten.

    The frame can be made in the form of a screen of two bearing supports, two lintels and a floor frame of four tubes, as shown in the photo below on the left. You can also make a more complex design with your own hands - a screen of three sections, the manufacture of which will require a little more consumables and time.

    No less relevant devices made of PVC pipes for organizing children's leisure in kindergarten:

    • developing stand (business board);
    • washing for hands or toys;
    • bed for dolls, etc.

    Another PVC pipe construction necessary for kindergartens is bicycle parking. It is easy to make such a stand with your own hands, even if you have not had to deal with the installation of pipelines before. In order to build such an installation, you will need two long and two short fragments for the base, as well as several more pairs of identical segments for the racks holding the wheels.

    Appliances that are relevant for any time of the year are a towel dryer, a laundry basket and a hanger made of plastic pipes. Such structures will be indispensable not only in kindergartens, but also in ordinary residential buildings. Made of fairly light and cheap materials, they can serve their owners for a long time.

    The best ideas for country houses

    Happy owners of private houses outside the city can also use PVC pipes to good use. Those who come to relax and unwind in nature can make chic gazebos and awnings from such materials. And for cinema lovers, you can realize a home-made cinema from a canvas stretched over a frame made of PVC pipes. What could be better than a pleasant company and an open sky, under which you can organize a home evening with friends at the big screen. By the way, the remains of other building materials can be used as a canvas. For example, pieces of a stretch ceiling remaining after repair.

    The same garden furniture can be made with your own hands from pipe sections. Tables, folding chairs, comfortable garden chairs and even sun loungers - these products can be made by yourself by looking at drawings on the Internet or by developing your own project.

    For example, you can use images and diagrams of garden furniture:

    Incredibly beautiful, reliable and comfortable benches and swings are made from PVC pipes. And the most important thing is that the production of such structures does not require significant financial investments. May they serve for a very long time, delighting not only the owners, but also their guests.

    For those who come to the country not only to relax, but also to work, there are also several ideas for arranging their backyard. What can be done from the scraps of pipe plastics that remain, for example, after replacing the pipeline? Yes, a lot! It can be not only the necessary improvised installations and devices, but also decorative structures for decorating the territory adjacent to the house.

    For example, if a hose interferes with you, and there is no suitable place to store it, make a stand from pipe scraps with your own hands. Those who wish to quickly design a fence for a flower bed or protect themselves from neighbors can use the same material. As you can see from the photo, plastic will fit perfectly into any environment and help keep your vegetation from animal encroachment.

    Fans of domestic animals can use plastic hollow structures to create pens and cages of various configurations and sizes. It turns out cheap mobile designs, which at the same time look very aesthetically pleasing. It is worth noting that materials with a large hole can also come in handy right there. Homemade sewer pipe feeders allow farmers who keep birds (quails, chickens, etc.) not to worry about food for their wards. Feed poured from above into the gutter will itself flow to the feeding area.

    Another do-it-yourself products made of polypropylene pipes that are relevant for the summer season are a shower arch and a watering frame. These are such banal designs that you don’t even need a diagram to create them. All you need is a few scraps from PVC collectors, fittings to connect them and, of course, a drill for making holes under the water. Next, you need to connect the hose to one of the ends of the pipes, and put plugs on the rest (except for water holes). And, voila - you have a portable shower and a frame for watering beds, lawns or flower beds.

    Fans of gardeners-gardeners can not do without a greenhouse in the country. By the way, it can also be done with only scraps of building materials at hand: pipes with a diameter of 25 mm (or 32 mm), rods, boards, film and fasteners. A detailed master class on how to make a greenhouse with your own hands from such a set of materials is given in the video clip:

    You can’t do without a stepladder in your summer cottage. Yes, and in an apartment such a design would not be superfluous. How to make such a wonderful staircase can be seen in the following video review:

    You can also use such building material in the construction of a temporary carport. This design will be very light, it can be very easy to assemble and disassemble if necessary. Moreover, given the durability of raw materials, a plastic canopy with a pipe frame can be made on an ongoing basis in the presence of other building materials.

    Methods for connecting pipes in structures

    From plastic pipes, you can make not only convenient household items, but also pieces of furniture. In order for such a home-made product to last a long time and be reliable in operation, care must be taken to properly connect the individual segments. Since it has already been said about the connection of polypropylene pipes, we will consider the connection of only PVC pipes.

    PVC plastic pipes can be connected in the following ways:

    • in a bell with a rubber seal;
    • with the help of an adhesive composition;
    • bolts by drilling holes.

    The first connection method is characterized by simplicity, but insufficient rigidity. Before connecting, it is recommended to clean the internal and external surfaces of the pipes at the joint from dust particles and treat the inserted part of the pipe with silicone grease. First, the pipe is inserted into the socket until it stops, after which it is carefully pulled back by 0.7 - 1 cm. The structures assembled in this way can later be dismantled, which is convenient for seasonal products.

    The second method of assembling pipes is distinguished by reliable fixation and greater labor intensity. Work on connecting parts begins with the processing of the mating surfaces of the socket and pipe with sandpaper for better adhesion. Then they must be degreased with methylene chloride. The adhesive composition is applied along the entire length of the prepared outer surface of the pipe and 2/3 of the length of the inner surface of the socket. Finally, the pipe is inserted into the socket until it stops and rotated a quarter of a turn. For gluing, it is required to press the parts for 1 minute. For good fixation, all operations to connect two segments must be carried out quickly enough. The connected elements are left for several hours until the adhesive composition dries completely.

    The third method is more time consuming, as it requires marking and preparing holes, but allows you to get collapsible structures with a reliable connection.

    For corner joints and connecting several segments at once in one node, it is convenient to use a variety of fittings. Plastic pipe structures can be of any complexity using numerous tees and fittings. Consider useful homemade products in order of increasing complexity of execution.

    Original and functional little things for decorating the interior

    Our review of interesting ideas is opened by the simplest products from a plastic pipe, which even novice masters of homemade art can make. In addition, such crafts require a minimum amount of material, and in some cases even the shortest trimmings can be used.

    From scraps of pipes of large and medium diameter, you can make a convenient and practical organizer for your office or workshop.

    There are two options available here:

    • fastening with self-tapping screws to a wall or table, for which one end of the segment is cut off at an angle - a stationary option;
    • gluing the segments together to form a stable figure is a portable option.

    The segments can be left white or gray, or you can paint it in your favorite color. Such an organizer is indispensable for schoolchildren and people involved in creativity and needlework. With him, everything will always be at hand, and on the table - the perfect order.

    Additional comfort on the desktop will be provided by a drawing tablet and a laptop stand, which can be made from small-diameter polypropylene pipes.

    Bookshelves are a special element of the interior. Their presence in a certain way characterizes the landlord. High-tech style corner shelf will not go unnoticed.

    From numerous short cuts of different diameters, you can make a patterned frame for a mirror or photograph. It is enough to glue the cut rings according to a pre-prepared layout, which can be applied to a sheet of cardboard. It can be floral patterns or something abstract. The dimensions of the frame will depend on the amount of suitable material.

    Scraps of large diameter can be used to create a comfortable shoe shelf with numerous compartments-cells. This design will not take up much space in the corridor and will ensure proper storage of shoes and a quick search for the right pair. The elements are connected using glue or self-tapping screws. To fix the shelf on the wall, you can use a plywood sheet, to which the assembled shelf is first glued.

    Some crafts made from PVC pipes will really appeal to lovers of fresh flowers. A reliable flower stand is simple in execution and looks pretty.

    For the manufacture of flower pots for transplanting or breeding pets, small pieces of sewer pipes are well suited. Having shown imagination, such pots can be decorated with colored paper, paint or bright stickers.

    It is easy to make a stylish vase for artificial flowers and dried flowers from elongated cylinders of medium diameter. If you approach the implementation of this idea creatively, then an original gift for a significant event can come out.

    Another extraordinary idea for the interior is homemade techno-style lamps. There are a lot of execution options, but they all adhere to the principle of minimalism: no unnecessary details.

    With the help of unused scraps, you can also make useful things in the hallway or corridor: a hanger for clothes and bags and a holder for garbage bags.

    Ways in which pipes are connected in a structure

    Plastic pipes are good not only for the manufacture of all kinds of household items, they can also be used to construct all kinds of furniture. In order for the resulting item to serve for a long time, all the details of its design must be correctly connected to each other. Consider the assembly of structures from segments made of PVC pipes.

    Methods that can be used to connect such pipes:

    • connect the segments by means of a bell and a rubber seal;
    • by means of special glue;
    • using bolts, drilling holes for them.

    In the case of a socket, the connection is not laborious, but not rigid enough. Before the procedure, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the pipes at their joints from dust and other contaminants, and then apply special silicone grease to the inserted edge of the pipe. At first, the pipe must be inserted all the way, but then it is recommended to push it back up to a centimeter. This is done so that later the structure can be easily disassembled on occasion.

    The next method is more reliable, but also more laborious. But in this case, the product will be strong, reliable and durable. For good bonding, before mounting, the parts at the joints are treated with sandpaper for better adhesion. After the treated places are degreased with methylene chloride and are ready for applying glue. Glue is applied both to the treated outer surface and to the inner one. After the pipes are docked, and having brought the pipe to failure, it is worth turning a quarter of a turn. The parts should be pressed tightly against each other for a minute, and in order for the fixation to be maximum, it is best to do the gluing procedure very quickly. After the glued segments should dry for a few more hours.

    The most time-consuming way is the third one. In this case, you will have to mark and drill a lot of holes, but this option will provide the future product with excellent strength and reliability. In addition, you don’t have to mess around with glue and sandpaper, and after assembly you don’t have to wait until something dries there.

    In order to create corners, all kinds of branches, etc., it is mono to use a variety of fittings, due to which even a person ignorant of these matters can assemble a structure of any complexity. So, let's start considering useful products that were designed by the same private craftsmen as you and I.

    How to connect pipes to each other?

    For the manufacture of ordinary household products and even furniture, you can use cuts of plastic pipes of different lengths and diameters. Corner fastening is carried out using tees and fittings. The connection of plastic elements can be done in various ways:

    1. In a socket with a sealant from rubber. This is a simple, but not too durable option. Joints must be cleaned and degreased. It is advisable to use silicone grease. The tube is inserted into the socket until it stops, and then it is pulled back 1 cm.
    2. On glue - a more time-consuming, but also reliable method. Bonding points are treated with sandpaper and degreased. The surfaces to be glued are covered with glue, the pipe in the socket is rotated and clamped for better fixation.
    3. Using bolts through drilled holes is the most time-consuming, but most durable method of fastening.

    Products for the house from plastic pipes

    An office or garage can be decorated with a practical organizer made of pipes of medium diameter. They can be fastened with self-tapping screws on the wall and stand or glued by equipping a portable model. Also very functional and useful would be a stand for a laptop or a convenient shelf for books, mounted on the wall or made in the corner.

    If you glue rings of small diameter together in the form of a flower, a pattern, you will get a wonderful frame for photographs, as well as mirrors on the wall. But cones of large diameter, interconnected with glue or self-tapping screws, can be used in the form of a shoe cabinet. A sheet of plywood should be used as the basis for fastening. A good option for using pipes would be to make a light hanger or trash bag holder.

    Lovers of home flowers will love original pot stands or interesting pots for seedlings, as well as vases for dried flowers.

    Furniture for home and garden

    With the help of scraps of plastic pipes interconnected and covered with fabric, light and comfortable portable sun loungers and chairs for children and adults are created. More difficult will be the manufacture of a mirrored coffee table or shelving for the living room or bedroom. But the appearance of such a product will be simply amazing.

    The use of decorative partitions to delimit space and decorate the interior has been known since ancient times. Lightweight, compact and mobile screens were used many centuries ago in China, Greece, Egypt, the Roman Empire. They were made of simple and lightweight materials, they could be of different sizes and shapes. Wealthy owners decorated partitions with rare fabrics, inlays, precious metals and stones. We invite you to learn how to create beautiful, original screens with your own hands.

    What are the screens

    When choosing a screen model, not only the stylistic orientation is important. It is necessary to take into account the space in which the product will be located, its mobility and even functional purpose. Therefore, we turn to the theory and consider what types of screens are.

    1. Folding sliding. They consist of several interconnected frames, from 3 to 8 or more. If necessary, they can be folded in the form of an accordion and removed.
    2. Single-screen screens consist of one wide sash. It can be a frame made of any material with stretched fabric or paper, a sheet of plywood, chipboard, plastic or glass fixed on a stand. It is desirable to provide such a screen with wheels so that you can roll it to the right place.
    3. The screen-book consists of two wings of the same width (although asymmetry is allowed). Fold it in the form of a book and rearrange it where there is less space. Depending on the decoration, such a screen can be used for dressing up and even for holiday photo shoots.
    4. Flexible screens. They are made from many long thin sections: pipes, plates, rails, connecting to each other. The peculiarity of this screen is that you can put it in a wave, a spiral, or even twist it into a roll and put it aside - it does not take up much space.
    5. Blind screens can consist of a different number of wings, their distinguishing feature is complete opacity. This can be a solid board (plywood, chipboard, plastic, metal sheet, frosted glass), a dense fabric stretched over the frame, or cardboard inserted into the frame. Such screens are used not only for zoning rooms, but also as a partition for changing clothes.
    6. Transparent screens. Most often, this is a transparent fabric stretched over a frame - organza, tulle and even starched gauze; It is very convenient to use a mosquito net. Also popular are metal models made using the air forging technique, or wooden screens with openwork through carving. Such products are decorative in nature, they are often used for wedding and holiday photo shoots or to decorate rooms and gardens.

    From what materials is it better to make a decorative partition for a room

    Traditionally, screens were made of wood: a solid board or slats on which the fabric was stretched. Nowadays, a creative approach and the use of a variety of materials are more in demand. Let's consider them in more detail.

    1. Wood. As before, it can be a board - smooth or with a pattern cut out on it, or a structure made of bars or battens. Plywood is in demand for creating screens due to its cheapness, lightness and ease of processing. Designers also offer great ideas for using obsolete items. For example, you can build a screen from old doors, having previously restored the panel, giving it a fresh look. A screen made of wooden elements can be placed both in the house and in the garden.
    2. Metal. Most often, metal frames of a given shape are used, which can be ordered from a familiar welder or at a specialized enterprise. Panels made of wood, glass, plastic are inserted into these frames, or fabric is stretched. A sheet of iron will look bulky and will not add coziness to the room, but an ornament forged from rods will greatly enliven the product. Often, metal pipes of small diameter (up to 5 cm) are used to create such a frame. This screen looks great in the garden or yard.
    3. Plastic pipes are also used in the construction of frames and screen frames. They are much cheaper, and most importantly - lighter than metal ones. The screen made of plastic pipes is easy to assemble and disassemble if necessary, and it is very easy to maintain: it is enough to brush off the dust from the surface in time. If necessary, you can hide under it on the street on a hot sunny day.
    4. Plastic panels are a very easy-to-use material, often already ready to be used as a screen. It is enough to pick up several panels with the same pattern, connect them - and now you no longer need to think about fastening fabric drapery. And you can also insert the panel into a frame made of wooden slats or metal. Such screens are not afraid of the sun and rain, they can decorate a garden plot.
    5. Cardboard is a cheap material that can quickly turn into an original, creative screen. Working with cardboard is very simple: just cut out the details according to the scheme and fasten them into a single canvas. Often such screens are placed not only straight or at an angle, but also in waves. True, they are completely unsuitable for the street: they deteriorate from moisture, wind and sun.
    6. Branches: bamboo, wicker, reed. Screens from these materials are very popular due to their lightness, mobility and visual simplicity. The fashion for them never goes away, they are combined with many styles in the interior: classic, tropical, eco-style, empire. True, the manufacture of such a screen requires the skills of weaving from a vine. But the finished product will look appropriate in the garden and will not deteriorate from weather conditions if the material is processed correctly.
    7. CDs, vinyl records. They can be connected to each other with threads or staples, you get a stylish openwork fabric. It is hung anywhere in the room in a straight line, in the form of a wave or a semicircle. More often, screens made of plates are used in the house, but on the street such a decorative element looks original.

    The screen can be made from ready-made door leaves, which are sold in hardware stores. You can make a simple screen of smooth boards yourself Do not rush to throw away old doors - they will make a great decor element for your home Wooden slats and fabric stretched over them with an interesting pattern are a bright accent in any room. Necessary improvised materials and assembly schemes

    There are many ideas for making screens. We tried to pick for you those that are not very difficult for beginners. The materials and tools used in the master classes are quite affordable.

    Classic-shaped screen made of wooden beams and fabric

    The traditional version of the screen provides for a fabric stretched over a wooden frame. The product can be made in the form of a book, dressing table or accordion, the shape depends on the number of frames. And the pattern on the fabric and its colors determine which room your screen is suitable for.

    Required tools:

    • drill;
    • screwdriver;
    • construction stapler;
    • 12 door hinges;
    • hacksaw;
    • sandpaper;
    • 96 screws.

    In addition, you will need materials:

    • wooden bars;
    • varnish and paint;
    • the cloth;
    • universal glue;
    • decorative elements (ribbons, beads, applications, and so on).

    For a full-fledged screen, you need to take 24 bars 6 cm wide and 2 cm thick, of which 12 pcs. 170 cm long and 12 pcs. 60 cm long.

    1. The basis of the screen is a frame, it is not difficult to make it. First of all, you need markup. Take the bar, measure 6 cm from its edge with a ruler and draw a line with a pencil. Repeat on each plank.
    2. Now, with a hacksaw, make incisions according to the markings. Their depth should reach half the width of the bar.
    3. Make cuts from the edges of the plank: put a chisel to the beam and, hitting it with a hammer, remove the layers of wood to the notch.
    4. Apply all-purpose glue to the inside of the notch. Assemble the planks into a frame and press firmly.
    5. Wait for the glue to dry completely, then sand the surfaces with sandpaper, especially at the joints. Finish the frames with wood varnish.
    6. For fastening, door hinges are needed (you can replace them with metal corners). Fasten them to the frames with screws using a screwdriver.
    7. The base for the screen is ready, now you need to decorate it with fabric. It can be of any color and texture, when choosing, be guided by the main colors of the interior and your preferences. First of all, make a pattern according to the size of the frames, in which take into account the hem. That is, on each side of the frame you need to add 5 cm. You can use fabric of different colors or even the remaining large pieces of different matter by stitching them on a sewing machine.
    8. Use a construction stapler to attach the fabric to the frames. First of all, fix the upper part, then, having stretched the fabric well, fix it on the bottom bar of the frame. The tension must be very good so that subsequently the fabric does not begin to sag. Fasten the sides last.
    9. When you finish fitting all the frames, proceed to assemble the screen on the door hinges. You will need 2 loops per 1 connection, so that later it is convenient to fold the product.

    Portable screen made of cardboard tubes: creative, unusual, eco-friendly

    Eco-design interior has not gone out of fashion for several years. Its feature is the use of natural materials and ease of manufacture. From the usual improvised things that are often sent to the trash as unnecessary (packaging, wrapping materials), you can create real masterpieces with maximum imagination and minimum effort.

    We suggest you make a light screen from the simplest material - cardboard tubes for winding linoleum or fabrics. In specialized stores, they are thrown away like waste, so you can buy them literally for a penny. And if you're lucky, you can even get it for free.

    Such a screen is very stable due to its wavy shape and its own weight. To make you will need:

    • 16–20 cardboard tubes for winding fabric;
    • a skein of strong decorative rope;
    • roulette;
    • scissors;
    • pencil;
    • drill
    • if desired - paint a color suitable for the interior.

    If you are using linoleum pipes, take 8-10 of them. Since their width is more than 3 meters, you need to cut each in half.

    1. Cut the pipes to the height you need. You can alternate different heights and widths, so the screen will look more fun. Lay all the pipes in a row, aligning along one edge: it will become the bottom of the structure.
    2. Measure 20 cm from the bottom edge and make a mark on each pipe at this level (point A). Measure a length of 1 m up, mark again (point B). Strictly in the center of the segment, mark point C. Repeat the action with all pipes.
    3. Using a drill at low speed, drill holes through at the marked points.
    4. First, at points A, then B and C, thread a decorative rope through the holes.
    5. Push the pipes tightly and tie strong rope knots on the sides of the screen.

    That's all, the screen is ready. Outwardly, it resembles bamboo or reed.

    If desired, such a screen can be moved to any point in the apartment to block the bed, workplace, or simply delimit the space.

    Modular cardboard partition

    Even such a simple and unpresentable-looking material as cardboard boxes will serve us well. And if there is an opportunity to get sheets of cardboard - generally wonderful! In order to make a cardboard screen yourself, prepare the following materials:

    • cardboard sheets 4 mm and 7 mm wide;
    • ruler;
    • pencil;
    • scissors or utility knife.

    To create modules, use the diagrams below.

    1. You can redraw these diagrams by eye or print on a printer, maintaining proportions. Each side is measured in centimeters. You will get 5 parts, in the diagrams they are marked with the letters A, B, C, D, E.
    2. Cut out the diagrams. Attach each detail to a sheet of cardboard and carefully circle with a pencil, taking into account all the slots. To test, put two pieces of cardboard together to check the width of the slot.
    3. From thinner cardboard, cut out parts A-D, from what is thicker - parts E: they will serve as the legs of the screen. You end up with 16 A pieces, 80 B pieces, 70 C pieces, 64 D pieces, and 5 E pieces.
    4. When you cut out all the details, start collecting individual modules. Parts C and D will become connectors for A and B, the larger ones.
    5. Use C connectors to fasten the screen modules.
    6. Parts E, which serve as legs for support, fasten to the bottom of the screen.
    7. The size of such a screen can be adjusted, making it higher or lower, forming a cascade or ladder.

    A simple cardboard partition: an option for beginners

    If the process of creating a screen from complex multi-part modules seems complicated to you, use the simpler option. You will need:

    • sheets of cardboard;
    • pencil;
    • scissors.

    You can take cardboard of the same color, or "play" with the gradation of shades.

    1. On thick cardboard, redraw the outline of the part from the picture. You can choose the required dimensions yourself, depending on your own preferences or the parameters of the room where the screen will be located. You will need a lot of such details, but there should be a pair of them. Carefully cut with scissors, taking into account all the grooves.
    2. Prepare the modules by connecting 2 parts perpendicular to each other into the central grooves.
    3. Line up the finished modules, fixing them to the side grooves; build the second row in the same way, and so on. You will get a light and original screen of the required size and shape.

    According to the same scheme, you can create a screen from cardboard butterflies. Cut out the details for the modules in the form of insects. Use different colors, so the screen will turn out brighter and complement any interior.

    In the same way, connect 2 parts to each other, and then extend the modules to the size of the screen you need.

    Mobile screen made of metal or plastic pipes

    A screen-partition made of metal pipes helps to zone the room or hide from the sun's rays on a hot summer day. And the peculiarity of this design is that it easily moves on wheels.

    To make such a screen you will need:

    • 3 metal pipes for the frame;
    • 1 metal pipe for weighting the base;
    • 4 furniture wheels;
    • 2 corners for connecting pipes in the upper part;
    • a board that will serve as the base of the screen;
    • 2 flanges fixing the pipes to the board;
    • self-tapping screws and nuts-washers;
    • screwdriver;
    • brush and paints.

    Metal pipes can be replaced with PVC pipes of the same length and thickness. But to make the base heavier, you still have to take an iron pipe or other heavy load.

    1. Draw markings on the board, indicating the places where the furniture wheels are attached.
    2. Fix the wheels with self-tapping screws on the board using a screwdriver.
    3. Now you need to fix the weighting agent on the underside of the base of the screen. Fasten the load with self-tapping screws using holders. This is necessary so that the screen does not fall during operation. Unfortunately, the higher such a design, the less stable it is, so weighting is indispensable.
    4. Fasten the flanges from the top side of the base board, insert the pipes into them.
    5. Connect two vertical pipes on top of one horizontal pipe, inserting their ends into the connecting elbows. When finished, paint the structure.
    6. Now it's time to show your imagination. If you plan to use the screen solely as a partition, hang a thick fabric on the frame. Even an old curtain can serve as it; the main thing is that the size of the fabric matches the width of the frame, and the color and pattern match the main notes of the interior.

    And also such a screen on wheels can be temporarily used as a mobile wardrobe. Put it in the bedroom and hang clothes on hangers.

    Opaque sliding structure made of wood

    If you need a thick screen that can even muffle sounds, then you need something more serious than a piece of fabric attached to the frame. Use wood.

    A wooden structure will serve you not only as a partition. Thanks to the dense lining, you can attach family photos, children's drawings and crafts to the screen.

    The case for the screen can serve as thin wide boards from any available wood. The easiest way is to use MDF panels.

    You will need:

    • 3 thin boards 45 cm wide and 180 cm long;
    • 3 cuts of synthetic winterizer 50 X 200 cm;
    • 3 pieces of dense fabric 50 X 200 cm;
    • primer or sealant;
    • construction pistol;
    • acrylic paint;
    • screwdriver;
    • scissors;
    • upholstery tape;
    • hinges for doors;
    • decorative building nails.

    If you have the opportunity to find boards of greater width, use them. Just do not forget that the synthetic winterizer and fabric need to be adjusted in size.

    1. First, prepare the boards or MDF panels. Cover one surface with a primer - this will be the back. Once the primer is dry, paint that side of the panel with acrylic paint.
    2. From the padding polyester, cut a strip a little wider than the panel, taking into account the allowance. Lay the material on the board and fix it with a construction gun. Cut off the excess padding on the sides with scissors.
    3. It's time for the fabric. The cut should be the same size as the synthetic winterizer. Attach the fabric to the panel, pull it well, break the edges and secure with a construction gun over the synthetic winterizer layer.
    4. Attach the upholstery tape around the edges of the panel with glue. Additionally fix with decorative nails, driving them in at a distance of 5 cm from each other. Repeat these steps for all panels.
    5. Now it's time to connect the structure. Lay two panels face down; check that the bottom edges are at the same level. At a distance of 10 cm from the lower and upper edges, attach furniture hinges, attach them with a screwdriver. Fix the third panel in the same way.

    If desired, you can additionally decorate the finished screen with a pattern of decorative nails, giving the surface volume and texture.

    Screens for creating spectacular photos

    If you are a professional photographer, then you probably know how important it is to have beautiful, spectacular screens for thematic photo shoots. Most often, such orders are made for a wedding, but other celebrations are also in demand. Therefore, a beginner in the photography business needs to consider every possibility just in case. We will help you create beautiful, light and airy screens for various photo shoots.

    Painted screen for wedding photo shoots

    A master class on making a wedding screen is based on the same principles by which similar products are made from a wooden frame and fabric. True, it will be a little more difficult: you will have to realize your skills in painting.

    To make a screen for photo shoots, you will need:

    • mosquito net;
    • wooden bars;
    • angle brackets;
    • long self-tapping screws 5.7 cm;
    • short self-tapping screws 1.27 cm;
    • loops;
    • scissors;
    • acrylic paint (white);
    • sequins;
    • stapler;
    • drill for tightening screws;
    • water-based protective coating;
    • tassel;
    • white paint for wooden surfaces.

    First you need to decide what size the screen will be. It depends on the size of the room in which photo shoots are held, the number of participants, additional decor items. Having determined the height and width of the future product, you can easily calculate the amount of materials needed. For example, you can use the dimensions presented in the previous options for making screens.

    Manufacturing and assembly instructions.

    1. Cut the bars according to the given sizes, assemble them into a frame. Connect the elements with self-tapping screws and angle brackets. To do this, it is easier to use a screwdriver or a drill with a screwdriver attachment.
    2. If you choose to paint the frame white, do so immediately after assembly. You can do without this, leaving the tree its natural color, but then it is advisable to open the surface with varnish.
    3. Now you need to fix the mosquito net. Cut it into pieces according to the size of the frame, leaving a small allowance. Lay the mesh on the back of the future screen and attach with a construction stapler.
    4. Cut off the excess mesh with scissors.
    5. Using a brush, spread the water-based coating onto the mesh. This will help the paint stick better when you apply the drawing. Wait for the mesh to dry.
    6. It's time for creative work: drawing a pattern. You can choose any floral and fantasy motifs. Apply the acrylic paint in light strokes using the same brush as for the protective coating. To create shadows, you can add a little gray or black paint.
    7. To give the screen for photo shoots a festive brightness, coat some places on the surface with PVA glue and sprinkle with sparkles. Let the product dry well.
    8. It remains only to connect all three frames with door hinges to each other - and the screen for solemn photo shoots is ready!

    Screen for creating a photo with fabric drapery

    A simple master class from the famous Moscow decorator Elena Teplitskaya will help you make a cute, funny and original screen that will surely come in handy for photo shoots.

    Materials and tools you will need:

    • frame made of metal rods;
    • cuts of well-draped fabric, for example, organza;
    • threads and needles;
    • decorative cord;
    • textile markers.

    As a screen decoration, you can take thread balls, decorative braid, ribbon or bows - whatever your imagination tells you. In addition, the fabric can be either one color or different colors on each screen frame.

    1. Cut the fabric to fit the screen. The width should match, and the length of the cut should be 20 cm more than the height, in order to subsequently make a hem. Organza or other light translucent fabric can be pre-treated with a solution with the addition of starch - this will make it stiff and pliable. Form folds by squeezing the cuts vertically so that the fabric looks like crepe paper.
    2. Spread the fabric over the top of the frame, securing it with pins. Do not stretch it in a horizontal direction: it should lie in folds. Now, with neat stitches, sew the places chipped with pins.
    3. With a special fabric marker, apply some simple ornament to the drapery. This stage is a great way to realize your artistic talent.
    4. The applied pattern must be dried with a hairdryer. If you are working with a special embossing dryer, be careful not to bring the tool too close to the fabric: it may catch fire. Turn on a regular hair dryer for a maximum of second speed.
    5. Paint the visible metal parts of the frame with a marker in the color of the fabric and the ornament on it. Decorate the top of the screen: string thread balls, bows or other elements of your choice on a decorative cord, and fasten to the fabric with a stapler or sew.

The more opportunities children have to realize their own fantasies, the easier it is for the teacher to direct the learning process in the right direction.

    note

    The child treats objects and space as a resource, seeing them as opportunities for realizing his plan.

    One of the interior details that can help in the creative development and organization of the life of the group is a stylized screen. Being an important attribute of theatrical performances, with a touch of mystery, it causes genuine delight and curiosity among kids.

    The simplest puppet theater attracts kids much more than painted fictional characters.

    Depending on the size, with the help of a screen, you can stage scenes for both puppet theater and real little actors, adding entertainment to the process and increasing interest.

    The screen in this case becomes an urgently needed item.

    If the budget of the group does not allow you to purchase a ready-made version, and the children have a desire to organize a theater group, you can independently make a screen from plastic pipes for a kindergarten with your own hands.

    The design of this multifunctional device is very simple.

    Depending on the purpose of use and the age of the children, various designs can be made.

    It can be a large theatrical screen in full growth.

    Or a small desktop version of the screen to independently show scenes with puppet characters.

    An important factor is the lightness and versatility of the design: children really appreciate the rare opportunity to independently change the arrangement of interior items, using them not as a mandatory established order, but as a resource for implementing ideas.

    This develops control skills and also gives more room for play and creativity.

    As a rule, a standard PVC pipe screen model is made with three sections.

    It is enough to collect 3 frames, connect them together and close them with beautifully designed curtains.

    However, this is not a mandatory rule, and if desired and the availability of material, more frame components can be made. The design of the fabric stretched over the frame depends only on personal preferences - you can choose it with your children from several options by making removable covers on fasteners with Velcro.

    Making a screen from plastic pipes with your own hands does not require large expenses. You will need propylene pipes of various lengths, plastic corners and double-sided fasteners - to connect the sections to each other.

    All this can be taken after a recent repair, or purchased at any specialized repair shop.

    The pipes are connected to each other using a plastic corner.

    Sections are interconnected by special double fasteners.

    A special apparatus for welding plastic pipes made of propylene, which is used by professional plumbers during installation, can be a good help.

    If there is no place to borrow it, you can also use the method of conventional heating over the stove.

    If desired, pvc pipes can be painted with paint. For durability, you should use a mixture of putty and regular gouache.

    Different ways to use multifunctional screens in kindergarten are suggested by the children themselves.

    For sewing covers, you can use any available fabric. It must be remembered that it must be durable and easy to wash, since children's games are fraught with various consequences for any furniture, and the screen will not be an exception.

    The material is best to choose bright and colorful.

    Depending on the design, you may need Velcro fastenings, ribbons or laces for a garter, additional material for pockets or loops, and reliable glue.

    Due to the observance of the principle of accessibility, children have the opportunity to independently change the space in their group at any time.

    Manufacturing process

    The step-by-step instruction for making a screen from kindergarten is quite simple.

    1. After the dimensions of the future screen are determined, it is necessary to cut the pvc pipes to the desired length. This can be done either by yourself (the plastic material does not require much effort).

      You can ask to make a cut during the purchase in the store.

    2. Next, we fasten the frames of the sections with the help of corner joints.

      All material is quite strong and durable to use.

      It will require either a special apparatus, or small physical efforts to heat and insert the plastic pipe profile into the corner.

    4. If the assembled screen needs painting, we carry it out in a well-ventilated area, let the structure dry.

    Screen made of plastic pipes for kindergarten

    The main purpose of PVC pipes is water supply, sewerage and heating. However, they can be used for other purposes as well. For example, make a screen out of plastic pipes with your own hands for a kindergarten. It will help create an additional comfort zone for kids in children's educational institutions.

    Use of plastic pipes

    Craftsmen with great imagination can use almost any materials in the household. So, it would seem that specialized PVC products can be used exclusively for their intended purpose. But human imagination shows a completely different result.

    A variety of crafts are made from such a light but durable material - decor elements for summer cottages, greenhouses for fruits and vegetables, stylish shelves for storing small items and much more.

    Particularly noteworthy is the children's screen, which can be easily used at home or in preschool educational institutions. Such an element of decor helps to separate a small comfort zone, which is especially important in a society with young children of different sexes.

    But you can use such a screen not only for changing clothes. It can be used in creativity as a puppet theater or fence off a small playground.

    It may seem that installation work will require special skills or tools, but even a beginner can handle them. Next, we will conduct a small master class on making the simplest screen from available materials.

    Necessary materials and tools

    Before starting the main work, it is necessary to prepare all the parts used. It will be very unpleasant if at the most crucial moment one of the parts of the pipe or finishing material is not enough.

    In order to create a simple screen from plastic pipes, you will need:

    • PVC pipes. Their number depends on the calculated dimensions of the screen. The number of materials for each section is selected from the calculations - 2 pipes specifying the height, and 2 pipes determining the width of the section. We multiply them by the number of screen sections and get the final number of materials needed.
    • Fitting. You will need 4 connecting corners for each section. If you plan to use intermediate strips, then you also need to purchase several triple connectors.
    • Textile. To calculate the required dimensions, we will use mathematical knowledge and calculate the area. To do this, multiply the height of the screen section by its width, and then by the number of such sections. The result will show how much fabric is required for finishing.
    • Hacksaw for shortening pipes.
    • Soldering iron for PVC pipes or special glue.
    • Materials for additional decoration - applications, pockets, compositions for dyeing fabrics.

    Screen preparation and assembly

    Having prepared all the necessary materials and tools, you can begin to assemble the structure. If the plastic pipes were not pre-cut, this must be done before assembly.

    Connection of plastic pipes

    The height of each section depends on the purpose of the screen, but you do not need to make it much larger than the child's height. To collect one section you will need:

    • Two identical pipes that determine the height.
    • Two pipes of the same length, defining the width of the section.
    • Four plastic corners for connecting PVC pipes.

    To connect the structure, cold or hot welding methods can be used. If you have a special apparatus for heating PVC pipes, then you should use it.

    Otherwise, you need to purchase glue for connecting PVC pipes from a specialized store.

    Such glue melts for a short period of time the section of the pipe on which it was applied, allowing you to quickly connect the parts.

    The complete assembly process for one section of the screen will look like this:

    • We clean and degrease the edges of the pipes.
    • We apply cold welding at the joints - on the outer side of the edge of the pipe and the inner surface of the connecting corner.
    • After softening the surface, the pipe is connected to the fittings.
    • After a few seconds, you can begin to connect the remaining parts of the section. Pipes of the same length must be parallel to each other.
    • Excess glue is removed with a soft cloth.
    • The remaining sections are assembled in the same way in the required quantity.

    More detailed information on how to independently connect PVC pipes using cold welding can be found in this video:

    Connecting sections to each other

    After all parts of the screen have been sized and assembled, it is necessary to fasten them into a common structure. To do this, you can use double fasteners for plastic pipes, and in their absence, fastening can be done with plastic clamps.

    In both cases, the screen doors will turn out to be movable, which will allow it to be conveniently moved and installed in rooms of various sizes.

    How to make a screen partition for a room with your own hands-instructions

    The traditional screen for dividing the space in the room is created from a wooden frame and fabric stretched between the slats. But thanks to modern technologies, there are much more materials and methods on how to make a screen-partition for a room with your own hands.

    What you need to make

    Lightweight partition screens made using a wooden frame, paper or fabric canvas are suitable for visual zoning of a room. When using a solid screen, you can achieve functionality: install small shelves for accessories, if necessary, hang clothes and bags on the top of the structure.

    In order for the partition screen to serve for a long time and not cause trouble, at the planning stage of the project, you need to take care of the availability of all materials. Necessary tools for a small partition screen of 3 sections with paper and fabric filler:

    • dense textiles with a width of at least 0.5 m - to fill the clearance of the structure;
    • paper and tea leaves for aging - calculate the number of sheets based on their size, and take at least 5 tbsp of tea leaves. l. for 3 liters of water;
    • beam for the frame with a section of 4 x 4 cm - 6 pcs. 2 m long and 6 pcs. short elements (0.5 - 1 m);
    • nails and screws of different sizes;
    • related items: PVA glue, wood varnish, paint brush, scissors;
    • construction stapler, tape measure, screwdrivers, hammer, square to determine the accuracy of the structure;
    • door canopies - 4 pcs. small size for fastening sections;
    • braid for decorating the joints of fabric and wood.

    You can do without the help of a drill, but if you have a tool, it is easy for them to screw the screws into the partition screen.

    The fabric-paper web will be replaced by drywall sheets, which can be attached to the profile with small nails and self-tapping screws.

    How to make a partition screen for a room with your own hands

    Making a do-it-yourself partition screen using fabric is a simple process even for a person who has recently started creating home-made things for the home.

    What's more, a lightweight dressing room divider is a great opportunity to practice making simple home furniture.

    Before designing your own screen plan, explore a few ideas for making functional and durable screens.

    Frame manufacturing

    After drawing up a sketch of the partition screen and calculating the dimensions, they begin to manufacture the frame:

    1. Fitting bars to size. The tree is sawn, the accuracy of the coincidence of the parallel and vertical rails of the partition screen is checked.
    2. Wood processing. It is necessary to cover the parts of the frame with a primer and impregnation before joining the frame, so that the sides also absorb protective substances.
    3. Connection of elements. You can use spikes by making grooves in each bar, like on zippers for clothes (suitable holes are sawn in each element). When the grooves are stuck into each other, they are coated with adhesive. The second option is the use of nails and screws.
    4. Processing of the finished partition screen. Treat the wood frame with a stain, leave to dry completely.

    It is possible to make a screen-partition with legs, then the horizontal bars from below are fixed 7-10 above from the vertical wooden lath. In this way, 2 more sections of the partition screen are made if the structure consists of 3 parts.

    Screen cloth

    While the frame for the screen dries, prepare the main canvas to fill the structure:

    1. Calculation. Calculate the width and length of the fabric pieces for the partition screen, add 4-5 cm in the areas of attachment to the partition frame. Choose the color of the fabric so that it matches the interior design, but does not show through the paper too much.
    2. Markup. Cut out 3 pieces to insert into the screen, decorate with paper pages or other elements. The pages are pre-soaked in tea for 2-3 hours, taken out and dried well. Iron the sheets with an iron.
    3. Gluing pages. Apply PVA glue to the paper, apply it to the textile and smooth it out. Make sure that the glue does not leak onto the fabric, it is very convenient to use a paint brush for this.
    4. Fabric fastening. Use a construction stapler to join the fabric to the screen. Both parts of the partition should dry well. The distance between brackets should be 4-5 cm.

    Instead of a stapler, rubber-based glue or decorative loops are used to attach the canvas to the partition.

    For these purposes, special construction pins are also suitable.

    Screen assembly

    The final stage is the connection of the partition screen sections. Loops are preliminarily prepared, corresponding to the size of the frames and the expected severity of the screen-partition. Start assembly:

    1. Attachment markup. Using a tape measure, mark the places where the loops will be. The distance from the top and bottom borders must be the same for all sections.
    2. Installation of mechanisms. Using self-tapping screws and a drill (screwdriver), the loops selected earlier are installed.
    3. Varnish treatment. Paint - stain - is applied before joining the parts, but it is better to treat with varnish after attaching all the elements.
    4. Processing finishing details. With the help of a braid, the places where the fabric is attached to the tree are connected - they are glued with PVA or rubber glue. It is important to trace the direct location of the braid parallel to the frame tree.

    After 1-2 days, the screen can be used. In addition to the fabric, if desired, pockets are attached in which various little things are stored. The main thing is that the partition can withstand the weight.

    Alternative option from cardboard tubes

    In the manufacture of partition screens, any improvised means are used: plastic pipes, acrylic panels, bamboo branches, and even CDs or records.

    The partition screen made of cardboard tubes looks original, which is very similar to bamboo, only more even, but just as environmentally friendly.

    It’s easy to make a partition screen out of cardboard with your own hands:

    1. Pipe fitting. Cut the cardboard with scissors or a construction knife (you can alternate, achieving the effect of heterogeneity). Lay out the design hardly, fitting at the bottom along one line.
    2. Markup. Make marks for holes on each pipe 20 cm from the bottom of the future partition screen. Do the same 1 m from the top of the structure, focusing on the highest pipe (mark point B).

      Make another dot in the center of the partition and name it C.

    3. Make holes. At low speeds with a drill, drill holes strictly according to the markings on the partition screen.
    4. Connecting parts. Pass through points A, then B and C along the rope, slide the screen and tie a decorative thread firmly.

    The final stage is the processing of the partition screen with a coloring material. You can choose a light brown shade, and additionally draw “eyes”, like trees, imitating bamboo.

    Video how to make a partition screen

    To understand how to make a screen, watch a video from a professional. Detailed recommendations and some secrets will help you create the perfect decorative type partition for your apartment!

    A beautiful hand-made partition screen is a pride for the owner and an excellent element of the interior, zoning the space and performing other functions.

    Pipe screen

    A pipe screen is an original device for zoning a room. At the same time, screens made from scraps of plastic pipes are affordable, easy to perform - just a godsend for home craftsmen.

    The function of the screens is the division of the room and a light sliding partition of the desired degree of transparency, which can also be realized using white plastic water pipes, which, if desired, can be painted in different colors.

    With all the simplicity of work and pronounced handicraft, pipe screens look unusually stylish, and at first glance it is difficult to determine what kind of creative material was used to make this stylish decor.

    The task of all screens and their additional features - a stand for a mirror, an open storage system, an additional vertical plane for placing photo collages and paintings - all these types of tasks can also be performed by a screen made of pipes.

    Bright white rings of different diameters, connected in a flat design, attract the eye and can be a spectacular decorative addition to the interior. The designer-inventor of screens made from scraps of white plastic pipes also provided powerful prospects: the possibility of making curvilinear and fantasy shapes - it all depends on the purpose and location of the screen.

    Do-it-yourself pipe screen

    To make an exclusive decor from PVC pipes, you will need the pipes themselves - as many different diameters as possible, but not less than three types. The more rings of different sizes, the more interesting the screen design will be.

    You will need a tool for cutting PVC, a metal file is suitable. The rings are connected with an adhesive suitable for gluing polymers, it is very desirable - the adhesive composition must be completely safe and suitable for living quarters. Cutting pipes on special machines will give an even and smooth end of the pipe, and if possible, the pipes are cut at purchase.

    The width of the screen of glued rings should not be less than 50 mm, such an area of \u200b\u200bcontact of the rings will be sufficient for a strong fastening. The width of the screen can be more. Moreover, craftsmen make not only screens from PVC pipes, but also shelves for storing shoes, wine bottles and kitchen utensils.

    Designs made of thin rings are only suitable for panels and small decorative frames.

    An interesting decor made of thin rings of plastic pipes, painted in various shades, can decorate the walls and become an exquisite accessory.

    You can make frames and frames for clocks and mirrors from a PVC pipe, make a photo collage an integral work, create a convenient creative shelf for things and toys.

    The assembly principle is always the same - cutting pipes to size, selection by diameter and gluing. The New Year tree made of pipe scraps has been surprising for many years with thoughtful design and minimalistic conciseness of forms.

    For the manufacture of screens, shelves and any inventory and decor, pipes need to be cut. If you have to cut manually, you will have to prepare for a long process - you will need a lot of rings. The pipes are marked according to the width of the future rings - from five centimeters, fixed with a carpenter's vice and cut with a metal file.

    After cutting, the edges of the pipes will not be nice and smooth enough, but PVC is easy to shape into any shape with heat. You can use a household iron - heating to the highest temperature and ironing the cut of each ring through parchment. If the product is double-sided - like a screen - then each cut will have to be smoothed.

    Confectionery parchment must be peeled off from the cut immediately, without waiting for the polymer to cool.

    Having prepared the necessary, and preferably with a margin, the number of smooth rings, proceed to assembly and gluing. It is convenient to lay out the rings on a flat surface, on a table or on the floor, and the final plane of the finished screen will depend on the evenness of the base. It is also possible to manufacture curvilinear structures, but for this it will be necessary to make a base conductor.

    The edge of the screen can be made smooth by picking up rings, but the fantasy edge with a pattern of rings looks especially decorative. You can also use large diameter pipe segments (white water pipes can have diameters up to 315 mm, there are other options for plastic pipes).

    A screen made of rings cut from pipes of one or two diameters may look quite original.

    When using rings of different diameters, the largest ones are laid out first, and then the free areas are filled with smaller rings. Random patterns or elaborate symmetry, it's all planned ahead of time or imagined during the process. All options are interesting. The edges of the screen can be made curved or straight.

    After selecting the rings according to the planned design of the screen, they begin to glue the rings. Polymer-based adhesives and liquid nails are suitable. Glue is carefully applied to the contact lines of the ring parts, excess glue should be immediately removed with a piece of cloth.

    After connecting all the elements, you need to wait for the glue to dry completely.

    note

    You can paint the finished product with a brush, but aerosol cans with paints of various shades, including metallic ones - like silver, bronze, and so on - will help add decorativeness, and much more accurately. You can paint the parts-rings before assembly, while any combination of colors is possible.

    Ready-made screens can be attached to the wall or made in a completely mobile version, for example, on wheels. Large screen rings can serve as convenient shelves for storing magazines and newspapers.

    You can make a screen-shelf specifically for things and store them conveniently rolled up - towels, daily items of clothing will be at hand, and the interior will become more interesting. The decor of thin rings, cut from small diameter tubes, can enliven the design of the room and kitchen.

    Lamps made of PVC pipes are also a good opportunity to decorate the interior with a hand-made product.

    Do-it-yourself screen - instructions for making a frame and how to choose fabric upholstery

    Decorative partitions are designed to decorate the interior and delimit the space. They have been known since ancient times. Compact, mobile and aesthetic screens were used hundreds and thousands of years ago in Egypt, the Roman Empire, Greece and China.

    Rich people decorated such partitions with a variety of fabrics, precious stones and metals, and inlays. With a screen, you can make the space cozy, or turn the design into a real art object, adding decorativeness and theatricality.

    Make an element of interior and zoning with your own hands.

    There are several types of modern screen, depending on the structure, purpose and materials used. When choosing a design option, it is necessary to take into account the stylistic orientation and the place in which the product will be located. The main varieties by functional purpose:

    • Folding (sliding). Until recently, they were the only screen options. The product has a rigid frame, on which fabric, paper or other material is stretched, and includes several frames connected to each other - 3–8 or more. If necessary, they are folded with an accordion and removed. Initially, the frame was made of wood, but later it was replaced with lighter aluminum.
    • Single screen. They include only one wide sash - it can be a frame made of any material with fabric or paper stretched over it, or a sheet of plastic, plywood, chipboard or glass fixed on a stand. This option is recommended to be equipped with wheels.
    • Screen-book. Consists of a pair of sashes of the same or different widths. When it is time to rearrange it to another place, the product easily folds into a book. This type of product can be used for holiday photo shoots or just for dressing up.
    • Flexible. For their manufacture, long thin sections (pipes, plates, rails) are used, which are interconnected. The design is a single wall. The peculiarity of flexible products is that they can be placed in a spiral, wave, or even twisted into a roll and put aside.
    • Deaf. They consist of a different number of valves, but their feature is complete opacity. For manufacturing, a solid board can be used (a screen made of plywood, chipboard, etc. is popular), dense fabric stretched over a frame or cardboard inserted into the frame.
    • Transparent. Often they are a transparent material stretched over a frame, for example, tulle, organza, or even starched gauze. No less in demand are metal versions made using the air forging technique, or wooden models with through openwork carvings.

    Having decided to make a screen with your own hands, initially decide on a suitable material. Traditionally, a product of this type was made of wood - slats or a solid board. Today, creativity and originality are valued, so a variety of materials are used to make partitions. Common options:

    • Wood. A simple smooth board or material with a pattern cut out on it, or a structure made of slats or beams, will do. Differs in simplicity in processing, ease and cheapness plywood. You can even build a partition from old doors, having previously restored their panels and giving them a fresh look.
    • Plastic. Widely used pipes from this material, which are suitable for creating frames or frames. They are cheaper than metal ones and weigh less. The product made of plastic pipes is easy to assemble and disassemble. Caring for them is simple: you just need to periodically brush off the dust from their surface. An alternative is plastic panels, it is very easy to make a partition out of them. You can pick up several panels that have the same pattern and connect them to each other. The finished partition is well suited for a bathroom, pool or garden shower.
    • Metal. Metal frames of a given shape are often used, which can be ordered from the master. Panels made of plastic, glass, wood are inserted into them, or fabric is stretched. Iron sheets look bulky and do not make the room cozy, but an ornament forged from rods will give the partition a spectacular look. Often, metal pipes with a diameter of no more than 5 cm are used to create a frame. A screen of this type will decorate a garden or yard.
    • Cardboard. Cheap and affordable material from which you can make a creative, original screen with your own hands. It is very easy to work with him, because. you just need to cut out the parts in accordance with the diagram and fasten them into one canvas. Ready-made partitions are not suitable for the street, because. they quickly deteriorate under the influence of weather factors.
    • Branches. This includes reed, wicker, bamboo. Screens from them are mobile, light and visually simple. They go well with various styles in the interior: tropical, classic, empire, eco-style. Their manufacture requires the skills of wicker weaving from the performer. The finished product will look great in the garden and will not deteriorate from wind, rain and sun, if the material is properly processed.
    • CDs and vinyl records. These parts are interconnected by means of staples or threads. The result is an original openwork canvas that can be hung anywhere in the room in the form of a wave, a semicircle or in a straight line.

    The classic version is a fabric screen stretched over a wooden frame. The product is made in the form of a dressing table, a book or an accordion. The number of frames affects the final shape. Prepare the following tools and materials:

    • drill, screwdriver;
    • construction stepper;
    • hacksaw, sandpaper;
    • door hinges (12), screws (96);
    • the cloth;
    • wooden blocks (24);
    • varnish, paint, universal glue;
    • decorative elements (beads, ribbons, etc.).
    1. Measure from the edge of each plank 6 cm, draw a line. Then make cuts along the markings to half the width of the planks.
    2. Make cuts from each edge of the plank, removing a layer of wood to the notch - put a chisel to the bar and hit it with a hammer. Apply universal glue to the inner surface and assemble the planks into a frame, then press them firmly.
    3. After the glue dries, sand the surfaces with sandpaper, varnish on wood. Fasten the door hinges to the frame with a screwdriver.
    4. The finished base for the screen should be decorated with a fabric of any texture and color. Make a pattern according to the size of the frame, taking into account the hem. To attach the fabric to the base, use a construction stapler. The tension must be good. Start fastening in the following order: top, bottom and sides.
    5. Next, start assembling the screen on the door hinges. The latter will need 2 to 1 connection in order to fold the product further conveniently.

    One of the interesting options is a cardboard screen. To make it yourself, order cardboard tubes designed for winding fabrics or linoleum. In a specialized store, they generally consider waste. The finished partition will turn out to be wavy. A set of tools and materials:

    • cardboard tubes (16–20);
    • strong decorative rope (1 skein);
    • drill;
    • scissors, tape measure, pencil;
    • paint of a color suitable for the interior (optional).

    If you decide to use pipes for linoleum, then 8-10 pieces will be enough. Their length is more than 3 m, so cut each in half:

    1. Cut all pipes to the required height and lay them in a row.
    2. Measure from the bottom edge 20 cm and make a mark on each element (point A).
    3. Measure up a segment 1 m long and make a new mark (point B).
    4. Next, mark point C in the center of each pipe. Drill holes in the indicated places.
    5. Thread the decorative rope: first at points A, then B and C. After that, move the pipes and tie on the sides of the screen with strong rope knots. The result is a screen that looks like a reed or bamboo partition.

    Making a mobile screen with your own hands is possible using plastic pipes. The finished partition will help to zone the premises or hide from the sun's rays on a hot day. Prepare:

    • screwdriver;
    • self-tapping screws, nuts-washers;
    • paints, brush;
    • furniture wheels (4);
    • a board that will be the base;
    • a pair of flanges;
    • plastic pipes (3);
    • metal pipe for weighting the base.

    If necessary, plastic pipes can be replaced with metal products of the same width and length. Sequencing:

    1. Mark up on the board. Mark the places where the wheels will be attached.
    2. Fasten the wheels to the board with self-tapping screws.
    3. Fix the weighting agent (metal pipe) on the underside of the base. Screw it with a self-tapping screw and with the help of holders.
    4. On the top side of the base, you will need to fix the flanges into which the pipes must be inserted.
    5. On top of one horizontal pipe, connect two vertical pipes by inserting their ends into the connecting elbows.
    6. After finishing the work, paint the entire structure.
    7. Show your imagination, for example, hang a thick fabric on the frame. An old curtain is quite suitable, the main thing is that its size matches the width of the frame, and the pattern with a flower fits the main notes of the interior.

    The body, if you want to create a do-it-yourself screen for changing clothes, make it from wide and thin boards of any type of wood. This design can even muffle sounds. It is easier to use MDF panels. The list of necessary tools and materials consists of:

    • screwdriver, construction gun, scissors;
    • primer or sealant;
    • decorative building nails;
    • door hinges, upholstery tape;
    • acrylic paint;
    • 3 thin boards 45x180 cm;
    • 3 cuts of synthetic winterizer 50x200 cm;
    • 3 cuts of dense fabric - 50x200 cm.

    First, prepare the boards, cover one surface with a primer (it will be the back). Once the primer is dry, paint that side with acrylic paint. The following actions:

    1. Cut a strip from the synthetic winterizer a little wider than the panel. Lay on the board and fix with a construction gun. Cut off the excess material on the sides.
    2. The piece of fabric should be the same size as the padding polyester. Attach it to the panel, stretch it, break the edges and fasten it over the synthetic winterizer layer.
    3. Use glue to secure the edges of the upholstery tape. Additionally fix it with nails. Repeat the same steps for all panels.
    4. Connect the structure by laying the two panels face down. Attach furniture hinges at a distance of 10 cm from the top and bottom edges, attach them. At the end, fix the third panel in the same way.

    You can make a screen with your own hands, which will become an ideal decoration for a kindergarten, from ordinary polypropylene pipes. In addition to them, it would be nice to prepare a special apparatus used for welding such pipes. If you wish, you can paint all the elements in any color. Stages:

    1. Cut the PVC pipes to the desired length. Then fasten the section frames with corner joints.
    2. Sew covers from any fabric. Its area should be equal to the size of the frame section. Be sure to stitch the edges.
    3. Use Velcro tapes or loops as fasteners. They will need to be sewn or attached on the top side of the cover.
    4. The final stage will be decoration with some floral motifs. On the cover stretched over each section, stick colorful appliqués or sew on small pockets.

    A do-it-yourself screen of this type is made somewhat more complicated than others. you need to show your skills in painting. Prepare:

    • mosquito net, wooden blocks;
    • long (5.7 cm) and short (1.27 cm) self-tapping screws;
    • corner brackets, hinges;
    • stapler, drill;
    • scissors, brush;
    • acrylic white paint;
    • white paint for wooden surfaces;
    • sequins;
    • water based protective coating.

    Cut the bars, assemble into a frame and connect with angle brackets, self-tapping screws. If you decide to paint the frame white, do it immediately after assembly. Ram needs to be done three. Further:

    1. Secure the mosquito net using a construction stapler.
    2. Spread the water-based coating over the mesh. Wait until it dries.
    3. Apply the pattern in light strokes using acrylic paint. To create a shadow, you need some black or gray paint.
    4. To brighten up your party partition, coat some areas with PVA glue and sprinkle with glitter. At the end, connect all three frames with door hinges.

    An interesting option is a Japanese-style product. To make it yourself, prepare:

    • bars 2x5 cm;
    • furniture hinges;
    • fabric of any color, texture;
    • thin cord (decorative) or rope;
    • hammer, chisel;
    • screwdriver or screwdriver;
    • glue, clamps;
    • brush, paint (lacquer);
    • furniture corner, self-tapping screws;
    • measuring tool;
    • sandpaper.

    First, mark the bars, setting aside a distance of 5 cm from the edge and drawing a line across. Further actions:

    1. Make a cut at 1/2 the thickness of the bar, remove part of the wood with a chisel and a hammer to the depth of the cut made. Treat the strips on both sides in this way.
    2. Connect long and short parts perpendicular to each other, remembering to first apply wood glue to the inside of the recesses.
    3. Clamp the joints with clamps, wait for the glue to dry and screw the furniture corners to the joints. At the end, attach fabric to the frame with a decorative cord - to do this, make fabric inserts around the perimeter.

    How to make a screen for a room with your own hands: step by step instructions

    The screen today can not be seen in every home, but in fact it can come in handy in almost any home. Its main function is to divide the room into zones, thanks to which it can diversify even a small apartment.

    In one-room apartments, the screen is also used as a partition for changing clothes. And among other things, a beautiful screen is an excellent decor item in the interior.

    However, before making such a purchase, think about it - isn't it better to learn how to make a screen with your own hands?

    How to make a decorative screen

    A homemade screen, even taking into account the purchase of materials, can be cheaper than a purchased one, and it may even look better. In addition, by creating a screen with your own hands, you can embody your best creative ideas in it and bring it as close as possible to the style of your home or a separate room.

    Now we will tell you in detail how to make a vintage screen with your own hands. Such a decorative screen performs well the function of a partition and serves as an excellent decoration for a room in classic-type interiors.

    Prepare the following materials and tools:

    • wooden bars - 6 pcs. about 2 m in length, and 6 more pcs. shorter;
    • a piece of dense non-translucent fabric;
    • book pages, letters, poems, etc.;
    • a hammer;
    • strong tea leaves and a brush;
    • furniture stapler;
    • door hinges (4 pcs.);
    • iron;
    • screws and nails;
    • PVA glue;
    • braid for decoration.

    Step-by-step instructions for creating a screen

    1. To make a screen with your own hands, you need to create a frame. For this, wooden bars are needed: assemble three frames from them, connecting the upper short bars with long vertical ones. Fasten them together with screws.
    2. Frames should be connected to each other using door hinges. Coat the structure with varnish - and the frame is ready.
    3. Take the fabric and cut three identical pieces out of it, which will fit the frames in size.
    4. After that, you need to artificially “age” the letters, poems, book pages and notes you have selected. In order not to waste the originals on the screen, make photocopies of the sheets.
    5. The most crucial stage is applying aged paper to pieces of fabric. Since PVA glue will be used in this case, you need to make sure that it does not leak onto the fabric.
    6. After the glue is completely dry, start attaching pieces of fabric to the frame using a furniture stapler. Pin the fabric to one side of the frame, stretch it out to smooth out any wrinkles, and pin to the other side.
    7. If there are any uneven edges of the fabric within sight that spoil the overall appearance of the screen, try to seal them with tape of a suitable shade. Polish the frame that is not covered with a cloth with sandpaper. A vintage DIY room divider screen is ready!
    • By the same principle as in this master class, the frame of almost any screen is created with your own hands. The standard partition screen has three wings, but their number can be increased at your discretion.
    • Moreover, the screen is made by hand and from one frame, in the form of a solid panel. However, such a screen for a room will decorate the interior less successfully than a multi-leaf one.
    • When creating a frame, choose a light tree, otherwise it will be difficult to move the screen later.
    • Instead of wooden beams for the frame, you can use other materials, such as bamboo sticks or metal rods.

A decorative screen can become an even more interesting decoration for your home if you make it mixed and arrange each sash in your own style. For example, one leaf can be left opaque, the second can be tightened with a translucent fabric, and the third can not be tightened with any material, leaving the frame almost in its original form, and decorate it with rods, wire, ribbons, a lamp garland, etc. Some screens are also tightened with paper, wicker or glass - it all depends on your preference.

    Crafts from PVC pipes: Openwork gate for a summer cottage

    Click "Insert" to add the article to your website or blog. Scot Eckley, a landscape designer based in Seattle, designed a charming outdoor deck for a client in Puget Sound, Washington.

    To create a Zen patio adjoining it, he used fine gravel and decorative circles filled with black glass pebbles. And to separate the yard from the garage, I made an openwork gate from aluminum rings. The art object itself was made in the workshop, but before placing an order, a full-size prototype was created ... from scraps of PVC pipes.

    Scott Ackley and his team wanted to make a gate that would be both a fence and a decoration. “The owner of the house lives here alone, so safety and privacy were a must,” says the designer. Due to the fact that the gate is transparent, this shady corner of the yard has become lighter. In addition, the owner immediately sees who came to visit him.

    As a result, the cost of design and layout of the gate amounted to $1,000, and the cost of production was $4,000.

    Step 1. The designer and his team made a wooden frame according to the size of the future gate and nailed it to the plywood sheet.
    Remembering the various crafts made of PVC pipes for giving, they decided to use the “folk” developments for the benefit of the project. Namely, taking a band saw, they cut about 200 rings from PVC plastic pipes of different diameters, as in the photo.

    Step 2 The frame in the shape of the future gate was filled with rings, changing their places and fixing the optimal position with the help of clamps and weights, until a dense pattern without gaps was obtained.

    Step 3 The resulting layout was covered with spray paint so that the outline of the ring pattern remained on the plywood, which was to be repeated by the metal manufacturer.

    Advice: If you do not just lay PVC rings, but fasten them with liquid nails, further operations can be omitted - you will get a completely decorative solution for the garden, virtually "out of nothing".

    The gate will be durable provided that you achieve the maximum density of the pattern - without gaps. Just do not remove the wooden frame, but use it as a frame for attaching the hinges of the future gate.

    In the photo: if a model made of plastic plumbing pipes (PVC) is too fragile for a full-fledged gate in a summer cottage, it can be used as a decorative fence.

    Step 4 The mock-up, along with the frame, was sent to a hardware manufacturer, who cut the aluminum rings to fit plastic tubes and soldered them together using the pattern on the plywood as a stencil. “Cutting and soldering the aluminum rings is no easy task,” Scott says. ─ Therefore, I recommend entrusting this stage of work to a professional master.”

    The photo shows what the finished gate looks like up close. Similarly, two doors can be made to make not a gate, but a gate.

    Crafts from plastic pipes: you can make both a frame and a house with your own hands Do-it-yourself PVC pipe crafts are a hobby that was born along with the advent of plastic pipes. You can make a lot of things out of an ordinary PVC pipe - from wine cabinets and glass holders to original headboards and clothes dryers. If we talk about the use of PVC residues for summer cottages, then vertical flower beds and a variety of flower pots immediately come to mind. In fact, the potential benefits for the garden from such pipes are much greater - they can be used to make both a street awning and a children's garden house. The network even has a photo of a do-it-yourself chicken coop made of plastic pipes. In the end, an extra PVC pipe will come in handy in a city apartment. Using the same technology as the gate layout, you can glue an openwork frame for a mirror or photo from plastic PVC rings.
