We talk about the cheapest countries in Europe for traveling: where to fly cheaply and how not to be bitten by prices?
Europe is not only for fat wallets! We were convinced of this - yesterday's students - we will demonstrate it to you, the reader. For life (in the sense of permanent) it is expensive, but for a weekly trip it can take pity and “rob” only 22,000 rubles.

"Budget" and "Europe" - 0% compatibility. And this is actually true if you hunt for 5 * hotels and foie gras somewhere in France, Switzerland or Italy. But there are countries that can offer a relatively inexpensive vacation for tourists.
Coincidence, or maybe not, but the cheapest countries in Europe are those where the euro as a national currency has not yet taken root: Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Hungary. But! Applies only to Eastern Europe, because. The northern one, for example, is also “non-euro”, shocking in amounts.
Montenegro, Spain and Finland are also contenders for the title of chip destinations, but, of course, they cannot be compared with those indicated above.
Traveling by tour or on your own?
Russian tourists are at a disadvantage, with the euro exchange rate under 70 and cheap European cities are turning into simply moderate prices. Here you will not only think - on your own or on a ticket - but in general, do you dare? 🙂
The rule that we have developed for 30 visited countries: it is cheaper to go on a tour if there is one location and a specific goal in the plans. For example, a beach holiday on the Costa Brava. "Samotur" in this case will hit the wallet harder. And if there are two or more countries / cities in the must-visit list, then it is better to show your organizational skills.
The season plays an important role. In the summer, especially in July and August, with the influx of vacationers, the price tags also increase. In autumn, European cities return to their usual routine, and costs are significantly reduced. Therefore, we fly to the same Spain in October.
Yes, yes, everyone chooses a convenient way to prepare. But we cannot but mention the services through which we organize our budget trips around Europe.

HOW TO SAVE ON TRAVEL?

Note: in 2018, eleven Bulgarian beaches were marked with the Blue Flag; this means that they are clean and well equipped. Together with inexpensive “everything”, this fact makes Bulgaria the cheapest country for a summer vacation.
Flights: from Moscow to Burgas (if by sea) or Sofia (if for walking) round trip ≈12,000 rubles per person. Not that it's an option to get to Europe cheaply, but look further ↓

Bulgaria, in general, is a financially acceptable country for both living and recreation; prices for "eat / get / see" are not so high (especially from mid-autumn to May). So, Sofia - the capital - is one of the cheapest cities in Europe, according to backpackers.
Food: you can not be loaded and allow yourself to eat in cafes - tasty, plentiful, satisfying (this is about portions 🙂). A hearty lunch (salad, meat, side dish, drinks) - from €10 for two, a combo at McDonald's - €5, just running for a cup of coffee - from €2.

3. Spain
Traveled for 10 euros round trip to Girona from Barcelona
Spain is perceived by ear as France, Germany and other European "status" destinations. But only until you visit both there and there, and make sure that Spain, in comparison, is still divinely permissible 🙂

4. Poland
Walk in the center of Warsaw

First time to Europe? Or one hundred and first, but "Hungary" sounds somehow doubtful? Then you are right there! In the capital of Hungary, Budapest, it is easy to fall in love with the European atmosphere, majestic, slightly shabby history, but always carefully combed, civilized. No wonder Budapest is called the second Paris (only he doesn’t even think about emptying your wallets and credit cards)!
In theory, the tourist season is from June to August, in fact - all year round. Preferably - April-May / September-October.

Directions: as reviews show, travelers simply adore public transport in Hungary for its convenience and prices: 10 tickets in bulk - € 10. Must-see cities can be bypassed on the yellow tram No. 2, No. 4 or No. 6 with a weekly pass for €13.
You can buy a Budapest Card: free travel, discounts to museums, baths, two free city tours. The cost of the card for 2 days (there are other options) is €30.
You can get out of the city by train or bus. An interesting option is Lake Balaton, 2-3 hours by train, the issue price is from €15.
For €15 you can go on a cruise on the Danube. If you are for a healthy lifestyle, go to the terms - Rudash, they are loved by the Hungarians themselves (a ticket for the day is € 12), and the Sechenskiye terms (from € 18).

On a long-awaited vacation, you want to try all the exotic local dishes, see the sights, see the most beautiful places and swim in the gentle warm sea. Sea resorts
Budget marine holidays always attract many tourists. However, for the opportunity to sunbathe in the southern sun and plunge into the sea, many are not ready to give away all their accumulated savings. The large complex of Saints Constantine and Helena, located near Varna, is considered one of the first holiday destinations on the Bulgarian coast. According to legend, it was named after the convent of St. Helena (at the moment only a chapel has survived from it).

Gagripsh is traditionally considered one of the most modern resort complexes in the Caucasus. It is located in Staraya Gagra, on the territory of Abkhazia, just 40 km from Sochi. Antalya, Turkey)

The city was founded in 159 BC. e., then it was captured by the Romans and Byzantines. In the 60s of the last century, a tourist boom began in Antalya, and in just a few decades the city became one of the largest resorts. Today, many hotels, sports complexes and the entertainment industry will satisfy even the most fastidious tourist.
Important! It is worth noting that cheap three-star hotels usually do not have closed access to the sea, so their guests are often forced to use city beaches.

Marmaris is located in a valley between a mountain range covered with pine trees and azure waters, which makes it a great place for sailing and diving. The resort is famous for its developed infrastructure, the presence of many clubs and concert venues.
Attention! Marmaris has a regular ferry service to the Greek island of Rhodes.

Ski resorts
It is not necessary to spend a lot of money to spend several weeks surrounded by snow-capped peaks and go skiing, snowboarding and sledding. A tourist who wants to travel and have fun in a foreign or domestic ski resort can choose from many cheap options.
The small resort of Kolasin, located in Montenegro on the banks of the Tara River, is surrounded by several mountain ranges. The city became part of the country only at the end of the 19th century, but immediately after joining it became a popular tourist destination.
Despite the fact that Kolasin is an extremely compact settlement, the size of its ski slopes is about 15 km, which exceeds many world ski resorts. The season usually starts from the beginning of winter and lasts until the middle of spring. At the same time, the tracks are equipped with artificial snow equipment, good lighting and two modern lifts.
Important! On the territory of the resort there are 7 mountain trails that pass through local forests and are interconnected.

The Bulgarian resort of Borovets provides an opportunity for those who like to relax in the mountains to enjoy any kind of winter sports - skiing, snowboarding, skating. This is the first and one of the most elite ski resorts with excellent pistes of various difficulty levels and a well-organized lift mechanism.
Tourists will also appreciate the developed infrastructure, which includes the presence of a large number of restaurants, cafes and hotels. Borovets is located on the territory of a coniferous forest, so the air here is unusually fresh.
Attention! Near the resort there are 190 lakes and 79 snow-capped peaks.

Khibiny is traditionally considered the cheapest domestic ski resort of all possible options. The unpreparedness of the resort for families with children can create some problems, but they are compensated by breathtaking landscapes, virgin nature and clean air. For example, in neighboring Kirovsk, tourists can admire the northern lights.
Important! The resort cannot boast of an abundance of Western-style hotels, but local residents rent apartments to vacationers at lower prices.

Luosto resort is located in the central part of Lapland. Ski slopes here are distinguished by an increased level of comfort - there are prepared slopes of varying difficulty, two illuminated slopes and eight slopes. For the convenience of tourists, the slopes are equipped with 6 lifts.
Attention! Beginning athletes can use the services of a coach, and for children there is a ski school at the resort.
Luosto has many inexpensive restaurants and cottages. In their free time from winter sports, tourists are invited to visit excursions to local mines, try Lapland's national cuisine, walk on snowshoes and watch the polar lights.

The Jasna ski resort is considered the best winter sports resort in Eastern Europe. It is based on the slopes of Mount Chopok and is currently the most famous resort in the Low Tatras.
There are 14 lifts with a magnetic system on the territory, which ensures high throughput (up to 11,000 people per hour). The resort is equipped with 15 ski slopes, the maximum length of which reaches 42 km. There are also trails for children, as well as slopes for snowmobiles or snowboards.

Resorts for ecotourism
In recent years, ecotourism has become increasingly popular, and this is not surprising - city dwellers strive for the beauty of nature, tired of contemplating the "stone jungle". Often they are attracted by magnificent landscapes, incredible colors, an abundance of diverse flora and fauna. Fortunately, any tourist can afford to go on such a trip.
The resort of Mersa Matruh (translated from Arabic as "anchored") is located in northern Egypt, west of the city of Alexandria. According to legend, Cleopatra liked to visit these places, so at some distance from the city, tourists can admire a small bay surrounded by rocks - Cleopatra's baths.
Important! Mersa Matruh is not the most popular resort, but during the season half the population of the lower Nile and Cairo rests here. Only at the end of September the city returns to its usual serene measured life.
The luxurious snow-white bay becomes deserted, so foreigners get a chance to have an inexpensive rest, swim in the Mediterranean Sea and admire the azure coastline.

At the same time, the resort area is equipped with beaches that are washed by the warm ocean.
Despite the lack of developed infrastructure, foreigners have something to see. For example, numerous islands located near the resort, which are inhabited by exotic bird species.

Family-friendly resorts
A budget family vacation is possible at any time of the year, but in order for the trip to be successful, you should choose the right route based on the age of the children, the weather and the duration of your stay in warm countries.
Alanya is located on the Mediterranean coast, not far from Antalya. The first mention of the city dates back to the 2nd century BC. e., so its rich history knew both prosperity and decline. Since the 50s of the last century, Alanya has become a popular resort among the Turks, and at the moment the city attracts thousands of tourists from the CIS countries due to its low prices and well-developed infrastructure.
Turkish resort - Alanya
Alanya is considered a traditional beach resort, but there are also interesting sights, museum complexes, nightclubs and discos in the city. Tourists with children are recommended to visit the dolphinarium and the water park.
Important! The beaches of Alanya have a convenient entrance to the water and a huge number of bays, where even in the strongest storm the sea remains relatively calm.

In the north of Bulgaria, on the territory of the Baltavto reserve, there is the resort of Albena, which is rightfully one of the best modern complexes on the coast. Since the 60s, the region has been experiencing a tourist boom, the Germans and the French are especially fond of Albena, which could not but affect the cost of services, which are a bit overpriced for the level of service provided. Nevertheless, the resort is ideal for families with children - there is an abundance of free playgrounds, swimming pools, clubs and attractions. If necessary, parents can use the services of a nanny or animator.
