My country house interior ideas. The interior of a small house - zoning and functional furniture

Creating a design project for a country house is a special area of design, a little more complicated than working with apartments. This is due to some features of housing that require a different approach:

  • a larger area, which, with improper zoning and mixing styles in the interior, can look chaotic;
  • the presence (or the need for a device) of engineering communications in a country house. A competent solution of technical issues is extremely important for a comfortable life;
  • environment. When designing a residential building, an important role is played not only by the compatibility of the details of the interior space, but also by their visual unity with the surrounding landscape.

When designing the interiors of private houses, we take into account all the nuances, performing a full range of works to create a harmonious design:

  • we find a stylistic solution for the future design project of the interior of the house, which will appeal to all family members;
  • we develop planning solutions, rationally using space;
  • we create a high-quality visualization of the interior design project of a country house, which will allow us to assess the appropriateness of the chosen solutions before the start of work;
  • we prepare technical plans, equipping the house with everything necessary for unsurpassed comfort: heating, water supply, ventilation systems;
  • we create detailed working documentation for the high-quality implementation of the project.

After the completion of the design stage, the designers of the studio carry out architectural supervision of the progress of repair work and the final decoration of the premises. We also offer the opportunity to order the development of an interior design for a residential country house with implementation, thanks to which all the proposed ideas will be conveyed as accurately as possible. The work is carried out by proven partners of the studio - construction companies, whose professionalism is a guarantee of a perfect match of the result to expectations.

In the soul of every person lives an Architect, or at least a Repairman. Only this can explain the desire, if not to build a "dream house", then at least to give your home some of its own features. And dreams, of course, are different for everyone, and many simply cannot be realized without a well-thought-out plan of action and knowledge of the basic provisions of home interior design.

Creating a comfortable and beautiful home, which can be confidently declared “my fortress” begins with the choice of a style concept for the design of the building itself, its key points (main rooms) and backyard territory. So before you start work, you need to create, on your own or with the help of specialists, a design project for the interior of the house.

Types of styles and home interiors

In the most general sense, the interior design style of a house or apartment can be defined as a combination of architectural features, decor and color schemes that is harmonious for perception. They are formed under the influence of any national characteristics (Arabic, Japanese, English styles, etc.) or the era of the development of society (minimalism, Victorian, Gothic styles). It makes no sense to list all the directions, but it is worth giving a description of the most popular of them.

Provence

Geographically, this style of design appeared in the south of France at the end of the 18th century and expressed the desire of the wealthy bourgeois to join the life of the aristocracy. Provence is characterized by a slight “shabbyness”, when the situation seemed to have burned out in the hot southern sun and for some time was in the sea wind.

In the modern interior design of the house in the concept of "Provence" or "Southern France", the following techniques are used:

  • The priority of natural materials in the environment (wood, stone, clay tiles, bricks).
  • The color scheme consists of cool tones - lavender, mint, green, blue and others. They should be as if burnt out or with the effect of "non-painting".
  • In the decoration of the floor, walls and ceiling, only natural materials are used - brick, stone, ceramics. Traditionally, for this direction, the floor is laid out with tiles of a warm shade (brown, pink-beige), and thick rectangular beams pass through the ceiling.
  • Almost all furniture in the interior in the Provence style belongs to the “vintage” category, both in terms of execution and condition. And you can already buy it aged or achieve this effect yourself.
  • Provence prefers printed fabrics with simple floral or geometric patterns. Porcelain ornaments and fresh flowers are used as decor.

It is the Provence style that is most suitable for the interior of a country house. This design will allow a person to feel like in warm France, even if geographically he is located much to the north.

This style appeared in provincial England and symbolizes the rural flavor. It creates the impression of good quality, reliability, warmth, comfort, and many people prefer it when choosing the interior design of a private house. Country music cannot be divided into "modern" and "non-modern" versions. From the day of its creation to the present day, it has remained virtually unchanged.

Among the main features of the rustic style are highlighted:

  • “Rustic” things are used as decor - wicker baskets, faience dishes, wooden toys and crafts, dried flowers and berries. Among the ornaments, various rural living creatures, mushrooms, sunflowers, fruits and vegetables (except for grapes and exotics) predominate. By the way, these plants on the site can be grown in greenhouses vasha-teplitsa.ru.
  • Country textiles are only natural - wool, linen and chintz with floral and traditional English motifs (polka dots, stripes and checks).
  • For country music, the main thing is practicality, and therefore the floors in such interiors are made either from dark-colored wooden beams or from terracotta tiles. If a tree is used for walls, then it is by no means painted. It remains either covered with a stain or a compound that mimics damage from a wood bug.

Arabic (Moroccan) style.

A purely national direction, which is accompanied by rather strict rules. In particular, the interior design of the house excludes any images of animals (figurines, embroidery, mosaics) or people, including portraits. Mostly geometric and floral ornaments serve as decor.

Arabic style refers to the "rich" areas of design. This impression is created due to the use of rich shades of blue (azure), scarlet, yellow, as well as the “gold” finish. However, this style looks great on the interior design photo of the house in magazines. Not everyone can live in such an environment for a long time.

Interior design in the style of minimalism involves maximum emptiness, that is, the absence of any decorations, decor and ornament.

The beauty of this direction is based on 3 principles:

  • Monochrome - the use of only white, gray and black colors of different intensities. A rare bright spot is, as a rule, an object accidentally brought into the environment.
  • Simple shapes - perfectly right angles, straight lines and smooth curves.
  • The most modern materials are used - plastic, glass, smooth wood, steel, aluminum.

High tech

Very closely related to minimalism, but more functionally oriented and not as monochromatic. The high-tech style, which is more suitable for an apartment or office than for the interior design of a country house, is characterized by the absence of ornaments and unnecessary decorations, straight lines, an abundance of metal parts and glass.

English bourgeois style is one of the most traditional trends in interior design of a house or apartment. It is very versatile and can include notes of classic style, Provence, country, rustic or even Empire style.

There are 3 bases on which an outside observer always determines the English style in the interior:

  • A fireplace is a real, electric or decorative bezel with a corresponding shelf, where various objects (clocks, figurines, candles, flowers, etc.) are displayed in an intricate manner.
  • Furniture in Victorian or classic style, and especially the high-backed chair near the fireplace with comfortable armrests. As upholstery should use dense textiles, velvet or leather.
  • The presence in the premises of a bookcase, shelves or bookcases with books.

American (national eclecticism)

This style combines several directions at once, but is distinguished by amazing harmony. In addition, the American-style interior looks expensive, but is accessible to almost everyone.

You just need to make an effort to achieve the following:

  • Expensive materials (wood) in the setting. Mahogany, cedar, beech do not have to be real. American style is popular because it allows you to use cheap imitations of expensive things.
  • Crystal or glass pendant chandeliers and lamps that are hung in the middle of the room, creating a solemn atmosphere.
  • All rooms are zoned with niches, arches and partitions.
  • Lots of upholstered furniture (sofas, armchairs, sofas, ottomans), tables, cabinets and chests of drawers. The bedrooms must have a dressing table with drawers or dressing table.

Chalet (country style)

The "chalet" itself is a country house in the mountains of Switzerland, in a setting that uses natural, minimally processed and decorated materials. The internal walls are not covered with anything other than plaster or tiling.

Design key rooms of the house

"Key" refers to the rooms that are visited most often by residents and guests. The house itself may not even be completed to the end, but if at least one important room is decorated in the chosen style, then the task is completed - the design goes according to the chosen concept.

Among the key rooms are the following:

  • Living room (hall, large room).

The center of the composition of any living room is the sofa, on which family members gather from time to time and on which guests sit. This “figure” is present in any style, differing, depending on the chosen design, only in color and model.

All other furnishings are placed around the sofa, which can be pushed against the wall or stand in the middle of the room, dividing it into 2 parts. If the area allows, then you can create "islands" - a sofa with a table moved to it, an armchair and a bookcase, an armchair and a floor lamp, and so on.

  • Entrance hall (hall).

This is the first room guests see.

Regardless of the style chosen, it should contain pieces of furniture:

- Hanger (wardrobe) for clothes - an open hanger for scarves, hats, scarves and a closed compartment for outerwear.

- Shelf for shoes.

- A mirror with a nearby shelf for small items (keys, comb).

- Lockers for small things needed by a person leaving the house - umbrellas, gloves, shoe care products.

  • Kitchen.

The central room in the house, where family members spend a lot of time and often receive guests.

Accordingly, it should be as comfortable and functional as possible. Considering that in many houses the kitchen is not the largest area, the design should be thought out to the smallest detail and take into account 3 zones: a place for cooking (stove, cutting table, sink), a place for eating (table, chairs or a sofa), a place for storage (refrigerator, closet.).

The decoration of suburban housing is not only functional, but also allows the owners to express their artistic tastes. A suitable design of a country house is an important point in creating a cozy living space. The article tells how to properly decorate the interior of a country house, depending on the chosen style.

A consistent approach to house design and a competent choice of finishing materials will turn even a modest building into a cozy “family nest” for a comfortable stay for several generations.

Design features of a country house

Most land owners outside the city prefer to build spacious houses to provide a comfortable place for recreation and leisure for all family members. Therefore, the interior design of a country house includes the design of living rooms, a living room, a kitchen, as well as a variety of outbuildings, sometimes workshops, and the improvement of the site itself. A large area and many rooms that need to be finished increase the duration and cost of work.

Despite the abundance of living space, its rational use is necessary to create comfortable rooms. At the request of the owners, the design of the house inside can include the decoration of the pool, winter garden, spacious cellar.

The isolation of suburban housing removes all restrictions on the layout of the future home from the owners. If in city apartments the height of ceilings and the size of window openings are not subject to significant adjustments, then a private house allows you to realize any architectural solutions, from strict American style to bright art deco. Large areas give owners freedom of choice, including when buying accessories. Indoor fountains, sculptures and multi-level ceilings that hardly fit into the interior of city apartments will easily decorate a living room or kitchen in a country house.

Country house styles

The architectural style is a harmonious combination of decor items, finishing materials, color solutions, as well as the features of the building itself (for example, the shape of the windows). Among the variety of building materials and styles, interior fashion prefers discreet colors and some “universal” solutions. Accents are supposed to be placed with the help of home textiles, dishes, furniture and lighting fixtures.

Classic style

The design of a country house in a classic style is distinguished by discreet and textured surface finishes. The ceiling is finished with plasterboard, the walls are covered with plaster, wood panels or wallpaper, parquet, ceramic tiles or natural stone are chosen for the floor. Often the classic interior is complemented by fireplaces, wall clocks and extensive bookshelves - the style seems to have descended from the pages of an English novel.

Finishing a living space in a classic style involves considerable living spaces: door and window openings are complemented by stucco molding, massive furniture, and large interior chandeliers are used. In general, the classics suggest some pomposity of the interior, a reference to palace decorations.

Minimalism style

Emphatically modern and discreet, minimalist interior involves the active use of modern technology and strict space geometry. Decorative elements are represented by original lamps, eye-catching textures and unusual shapes. Classical minimalism looks rather “cold” and utilitarian; connoisseurs of a cozy home environment richly “dilute” it with textured textiles and lighting decor.

Classic strict minimalism requires the addition of "soft" decor elements: curtains, floor lamps Source archinect.com

Strict design, free surfaces and an abundance of built-in furniture add visual space to minimalist rooms.

The most popular direction, which is used to create the interior of a country house, is to decorate the room with natural wood in light shades, an abundance of white, as well as a small number of accessories. A light range of colors, coupled with strict, laconic forms of furniture and large windows visually expands the space, while a small number of decorative elements visually streamlines the interior, allows you to "rest the eye". The classic Scandinavian style, common in Swedish, Finnish and Danish homes, cannot do without sources of local lighting: floor lamps, furniture lights, lamps, LED strips.

Domestic interior fashion suggests complementing this style with bright accessories, which, in combination with lighting fixtures and light-colored wood, creates a “warm” atmosphere suitable for northern latitudes.

The “warm” version of the Scandinavian style is Provence, which is typical for decorating houses in the south of France. The interior combines artificially aged wood of light shades, an abundance of floral ornaments, stucco moldings and ceramic decorative elements. Contrary to popular belief, Provence-style living quarters look quite strict and versatile, it is enough to correctly select decor elements and “do not overdo it” with floral ornaments and stucco.

Country houses in this style are distinguished by a combination of light colors, intricate decorative elements, an abundance of indoor flowers and vintage-style furniture.

Visually about the Provence style on the video:

Saturated colors, an abundance of gold and arched design elements give energy to the Arabic style, make the room brighter. The combination of rich colors, intricate decor and heavy curtains (most often made of faux brocade or taffeta) requires knowledge of color, but the resulting home interior design is worth the effort.

Arabic style - bright and "cheerful" color scheme with an abundance of arched elements Source pro-remont.org

The abundance of saturated shades implies the active use of lamps and furniture bulbs, as a result, the interior looks unusual and mysterious.

Ethnic style

A bold option for a unique and vibrant home design is the ethno style, which reflects the design features of the home, characteristic of specific countries. Interior fashion brought popularity to the Japanese ethnic style, which is characterized by an abundance of screens and partitions, low tables and carpets, as well as a strict color scheme.

A more saturated and intricate version of the ethno style is Moroccan, characterized by an abundance of carpets, lamps, rich colors, arched windows and carved furniture.

Also among domestic homeowners, the “Russian style” is widespread, imitating an old hut with the help of log walls, a plastered stove and an abundance of wooden decorations.

In general, ethnic style aims to convey the unique spirit of each country through color combinations and choice of accessories. The use of this style requires the owners to carefully select accessories and comply with the features of the interior solution in all living quarters.

Design of various rooms in a country house

Harmonious design involves taking into account the features of the chosen style in the design of all residential premises. However, it is not necessary to add all the elements characteristic of the chosen style to every living room. It is enough to use the basic components of the style.

The most suitable room for a bright finish using the chosen style is a living room in a country house. Spacious, often combined with a kitchen, this room involves the rest of all family members, as well as receiving guests. The combination of a large area and high trafficability of the room allows the owners to use decorative elements abundantly, to finish surfaces with bright textures.

The spacious living room is a suitable room for installing a massive original chandelier, a bright carpet and bookshelves. Source pinterest.com

The priority in the design of the kitchen is the functionality of the room, a large part of which is occupied by household appliances. Owners of small country houses often resort to creating a combined kitchen-living room, which can be finished more brightly. If the cooking room is isolated, then the chosen interior style is best emphasized by the decoration of walls, floors and ceilings, and decor items and lighting fixtures should be installed based on their functionality.

Bathrooms and an entrance hall in a country house are often made spacious, so you can use stylized lighting fixtures, textured finishing materials and a combination of colors characteristic of the chosen style to decorate them.

Bedrooms and study rooms are the personal space of the owners, so the interior of a country house room should meet the wishes of the owners.

In general, interior design in a country house is determined by the style of "public" premises - living room, hallway, guest bathroom. Therefore, in order to fully appreciate the design of a country house inside, a photo of all rooms is the best option.

Interior design in a wooden house

The difference between a house built of wood lies in the appearance and pleasant microclimate, which are created by natural material. Quality wood involves laconic decorations designed to emphasize its “natural beauty”. Therefore, in the design of such houses, wallpapering or cladding with panels of various materials is rarely used. The exception is cases where the finish is utilitarian: the need to hide wires and technological gaps.

A feature of the interior of a wooden house is the need to emphasize the beauty of natural material. Source 3ddd.ru

The second feature of the interior of a wooden house is the need to create a "counterweight" to the wood trim in the form of a plain texture. Most often, the problem is solved with the help of floor tiles in a contrasting shade and covering the ceiling with light-colored plain plaster applied to drywall panels.

Harmony in the interior of a wooden house is created by a laconic white ceiling and leather furniture of the same shade. Source zen.yandex.ru

In general, rooms in a wooden house are not recommended to be decorated using bright, contrasting styles, an abundance of accessories and massive furniture, so as not to visually "overload" the interior.

Making a fireplace in a country house

In most cases, a fireplace in a country house is installed in rooms with the most intense traffic. It can be a living room, including one combined with a kitchen, as well as a spacious hall. The fireplace performs the functions of heating the room and creating a cozy atmosphere, conducive to the rest of the household.

The installation of a real fireplace will require large financial costs from the owners, the external decoration of this option involves the use of specific materials: refractory bricks for laying out the inner surface, as well as metal panels to protect the adjacent floor surface from ash.

A false fireplace or electric modification allows you to use the fireplace as a decoration. In this case, the finishing materials can be any, and the style is limited only by the imagination of the owners.

Facing any fireplace can be made of plaster, brick or artificial stone. Depending on the tastes of the owners of the house, the element can be a functional or decorative accent of the room.

Decoration of the facade and adjacent territory of the house

Materials for finishing the walls of the house from the outside should combine durability and weather resistance with a pleasant appearance, often they serve as an additional warming layer.

Finishing with siding and stone gives the facade of the house a respectable look. Source happymodern.ru

The design of the site on which the country house is located is based on the needs of the owners and the features of the use of this territory. For example, if the land around the house is supposed to be used as a small garden, landscape design will be limited to creating strong paths and building a utility room (shed, storage room). If the courtyard is supposed to be equipped with a small playground, an indoor pool, a gazebo and a bathhouse, the design will include not only the finishing of the paths, but also the external design of these buildings.

In the photo: Stylish interior of the kitchen-living room in a modern style

If you are a fan of contemporary design and modern lifestyle, then you will definitely love the open plan kitchen-living room. It is chosen so that both the kitchen and the living room become more spacious and bright, and it is easier for the hostess to be in the spotlight and follow the children's games while cooking.

This layout looks especially practical in small cottages and houses, where thanks to it the interior becomes more ergonomic. In the photo of the interior above, you will see its implementation in a small house in Gorki Leninskie (Moscow), which our designers created in 2018.

Living room in a modern style with designer plaster

In the photo: Interior design of a living room in a townhouse

If you look at the same interior from a different angle (from the side of the TV), you will see a sofa area and a staircase to the second floor of this house. Here we chose decorative plaster with a large relief for decoration, which allows you to add a little urban charm to the interior.

Pay attention to the design of the stairs. With a baffle to the right of it, it's child-safe, and the black decorative screens have gaps large enough for kids to play comfortably if they want to. The steps at the stairs are wooden, which is also great for families with children.

Bedroom in gray tones with mirrored and textile walls and stucco with gilding

In the photo: Bedroom interior in gray tones in a modern style

In one of the bedrooms in this home, we used a gray color palette and modern style to decorate the space. The bed here has a beautiful textile finish for the headboard, and behind the bedside tables our designer made an exclusive decorative panel of beveled mirrors.

Look also at the opposite wall (behind the TV) with decorative plaster with a gilding effect. The rays of the morning sun illuminate this particular wall, and then it all gently shines.

Bathroom with glam mood and midnight blue accents

In the photo: Design project of a small bathroom

Next to the bedroom is the bathroom, small but very comfortable. Because of its compact format, we chose white tiles for most of the walls and furnished it with a modern, high-gloss vanity unit. Pay attention to how beautiful the complete absence of a border between the sink and the countertop is.

The white and midnight blue accent tiles in this interior feature a 3D parametric pattern. It received the name "parametric" from the word "parameters", because we are talking about an ornament that a computer creates using the parameters set by the designer. It turns out it is futuristic and extremely modern!
