How to make a staff with your own hands from a branch. Magic items - staves, wands, wands

The magic wand is the main instrument of the Magician's realization power. Remember the picture of the First Arcana of Magic: in the right hand of the Magician triumphantly raised to the sky is a wand. He is the fiery element of will.

The power of the wand is a fiery power, because the wand is an instrument that brings the psychic power of the Magician to the utmost concentration, to the degree of realizing power. This realizing power is equally capable of making changes in the body of the patient and influencing the natural forces on which healing depends.

This is the role of the wand. However, how does such energy appear, what transformations take place with it as it flows through the wand?

It is impossible to fully answer this question within the framework of our book without violating the Secret. But I will give some hints by describing the approximate appearance of the magic wand and the laws by which it is made.

Type of magic wand

The kind of wand used in Sacred Therapeutics can be very different from the corresponding tool in Ceremonial Magick.

On it (on its surface, or - inside the instrument) the presence of seven precious metals is not necessarily - analogies to the seven secondary causations in Magic. The Wand contains information about the will of the Magician, about the nature of its manifestation and about the main spiritual forces with which the will of the Magician is in communication. The rest of the force parameters can be added by the operator himself according to his own requirements.

The magic wand, as well as the pantacle, has two main states: manifested and unmanifested. His unmanifested state is a materially ready rod, on which all the main laws and formulas have already been engraved, carved and written, but which, nevertheless, has not yet passed through the process of sanctification.

The wand manifested is the wand with power and realizing power; that is, after the process of consecration. In this case, consecration is that practical ritual that sets in motion the entire spiritual and mental apparatus of the wand, makes the laws inscribed on it by the hand of the Magus live. Therefore, it is not enough just to make a wand according to all the rules of Higher Magic. In order for it to really become an instrument of Sacred Therapeutics, it is necessary to perform a spiritual action on it, a rite of consecration.

This, in turn, suggests that only an adept of a high degree of Initiation, who has made magical Knowledge a part of his personality, is capable of making a magic wand.

How to make a magic wand

The magic wand is the most important part of the equipment of a magician working in the sphere of Forces, which are under the law of Hermes the Thrice Greatest. There are many legends about how, with the help of a staff, the magicians of antiquity defeated entire armies and destroyed fortresses, spewed water from a rock and brought down a plague on entire countries.

It cannot be said that a wand made by a modern novice magician will immediately acquire the power described. At the beginning of the practice, he will serve as your faithful assistant, help the accumulation of Force, and what will happen to him later - you will see for yourself.

There are three sizes of magic wands made of wood and serving as an aid to concentration and strengthening one's own power.

Staff - approximately equal to the height of the magician

A large rod is two or three cubits (1-1.5 m) long.

Small wand - one or two cubits long (0.5-1 not); they call it a magic wand

The smaller the wand, the more powerful it is and the more careful handling it requires. Wands can also be made of metal or stone, but the labor intensity is much higher.

Before starting work, you need to perform a purification rite that matches your ideas. During processing, what Christians call fasting should be observed. Any means that affect the psyche are categorically excluded: even tobacco or coffee can disrupt your work.

For any wooden wand, “own” wood is chosen (according to druidic ideas), in the general case, preference is given to a harder breed. A young tree is selected that is suitable in thickness. For everything except a small wand, a part of the main trunk is suitable only without knots. The tree is cut with feelings of regret for the ruined plant and confidence that the magical need is worth it. A minimum of tools is used (ideally, only a knife forged with one's own hands). Since it is difficult to get hold of a hand-forged knife in modern conditions, you can use an ordinary medical scalpel purchased specifically for this work. When working on the wand, it is necessary to exclude the feeling of triumph, haste, or anticipation of a miracle.

How to make a magic wand, staff and wand

There are four sizes of magic wands made of wood and serving as an aid to concentration and strengthening one's own power.

Staff - about tall

Great wand - two or three cubits

Small wand - one or two cubits

"Magic wand" - about half an elbow.

The smaller the wand, the more powerful it is, and the more careful handling it requires.

Wands can also be made of metal or stone, but since the complexity is much higher, I did not even try to find out anything about it. Before starting, you need to perform a purification rite that matches your ideas. During processing, what you call fasting should be observed. Any psychotics are categorically excluded, even tobacco or coffee can disrupt your work.

For any wooden wand, “own” wood is chosen (in my case it can be oak or hawthorn), in general, preference is given to a harder breed. A young tree is selected that is suitable in thickness. For everything except the staff, a part of the main trunk is suitable only without knots. The tree is cut with a feeling of regret for the ruined plant, and the confidence that your need is worth it. A minimum of tools is used, ideally one knife, forged with one's own hand. Since it is difficult to get hold of a hand-forged knife in modern conditions, you can use an ordinary medical scalpel purchased specifically for this work.

When working, it is necessary to exclude a sense of triumph, haste or anticipation.

The magic wand, on the contrary, is made from the most clumsy and knotty (but by no means cracked and rotten!) part of the tree. Very good for such purposes is the rhizome of a tree, or, for example, the trunk of a Karelian birch. If a part of a tree was taken to make a magic wand, with full self-confidence, it makes sense to “give away” the tree - to rub a drop of blood into an incision in its bark.

The cut trunk is transferred to the place where it will be processed, and does not move to other places until the end of the work. Waste is collected, and after the end of work, they are sacrificed to forest spirits (buried under the turf in the forest with a sense of gratitude).

All processing is done in a state of permanent meditation on the material. Hurry, distraction for random things, attempts to speed up the work by risking spoiling the material are categorically excluded (not even the attempts themselves, but reflections on this topic, that is, if something can be scraped off, or it can be cut off, but accuracy in the latter case cannot be guaranteed, then there should not even be any doubt that it should be scraped). It is best to work in the forest or in the country. The work is done at one time exactly as much as in the buzz. Whenever there is a desire to work, you need to do it, even if this work will consist of two movements.

The bark and cambium are peeled off the trunk, in the case of a staff, knots are cut off and scraped off (not to smoothness), defects are cut out. The staff may then be finished at any time, but it is recommended that you at least scrape it carefully and lovingly.

For the rest of the wands, the upper (according to the growth of the tree) end is sharpened, the lower is rounded. The lower part of the wand (for which it is then held) is scraped across the fibers. At this stage, the workpiece should no longer have any corners or cuts. By this time, the workpiece may crack lengthwise due to drying, this is normal.

On a magic wand, both ends are rounded.

Processing should be interrupted, and play with the resulting object. You need to feel it as your own, find a comfortable position for it in your hand, love it, become attached to it. From now on, the workpiece should always be kept with you, at least in the area of attention. The feeling at the same time should be such that you acquaint him with yourself, with your life, with your habits, emotions.

Further processing is the main difficulty. Part of the wand, except for the place you hold on to and the point, is covered with a pattern. It does not make sense to “cover with a pattern” the wand. Scratches are applied to it in those places that, according to the sensation that has appeared, "they want it." Some of them may be small, some will “require” a deepening, sometimes up to a quarter of the radius (I didn’t have one, though). Scratches are applied with a knife point held in the fingers (by the way, it must be sharpened only by hand), and require a firm hand. When working, there should be a feeling of conversation, a conversation with a rod.

A small wand requires a pattern several times thicker and finer than a large wand, but sections of the initial surface should remain on it as part of the pattern (in this case, probably, the magic wand should be entirely carved). If a crack has formed on the wand, then with the same knife (but not very hard, otherwise it will crack) annealed copper, and even better silver, should be hammered into it, to the very surface.

For a magic wand, another type of pattern is preferable - a continuous, non-self-intersecting, open line covering as large an area of the magic wand as possible. If you manage to apply it in one stroke from start to finish... However, I doubt that you will succeed.

There is no need to demand European accuracy from the staff, it should have in its shape a reference to the original shape of the barrel, it should not be either perfectly smooth or perfectly round, the metal hammered into the slot should not look like a seal, it is simply stored there, although if it is not will look clumsy, then this is correct.

Unfortunately, I can’t describe in more detail the covering with a pattern, as it happens in deep meditation. The work should have an internal impression of a valuable process in itself, one should not feel concern for the result, even some nostalgic pity that, behold, another part of the work has been done is permissible.

At the same time, he must be introduced to the world, that is, shown to them in the sun, moon, stars, trees, while intensely feeling his attitude to the objects shown. It is not required to show ALL, and also to name names. Only that attitude to which you consider worthy of being noted.

The pattern is applied until you are sure that you cannot add a single stroke more. By the way, various symbols that you might have seen before may well come across in the pattern, it is absolutely necessary to determine exactly whether your subconscious mind is playing around, or just because the scratches lay down. The first is bad, the second is normal.

There are so many symbols that they can be found in anything, there is no need to be afraid of them or strive for them, they are always secondary when interpreted by a person.

Having applied the pattern, it is required to polish the wand with a cloth and river sand. Whoever has never done this - I warn you, do not press, otherwise you will scratch. By the way, it is better to sift and / or rinse the sand. Only the pattern is polished, the handle has already been processed with a knife by this time, and the point must be ironed with a knife.

Polishing should take place in a joyful (but not violently hysterical) mood, and this should not make the movements abrupt.

By this time, the wand will make you feel the need for initialization (activation? consecration? I'm bad with the thesaurus lately), which consists in completely unemotional immersion of the tip into something. In my case, it was night water, but it could be earth, and wine, and milk, and a living body (God forbid, human), and sewage. If required, the next day the point is wiped with the same rag that polished the wand (by the way, did I say that this should be a natural fabric from your old clothes?), Which can be buried along with the bark and sawdust, or can be thrown away or destroyed, at your discretion.

The initialization of the magic wand looks a bit more complicated. First, one of its ends is immersed in something, then (the time interval does not matter and is unpredictable in advance) its other end is immersed in something else, something opposite in properties to the first. At a glance, the phrase is somewhat clumsy, but if you take up the manufacture of a magic wand, then at this stage everything will be clear to you.

The knife must be sharpened at the end of the work, and ... that's it.

If by that time you do not know what to do next with the wand, then I must have explained something wrong.

New Year's holidays are always fun and a period of children's carnivals and matinees, where you can do without Baba Yaga, Koshchei and others, but it's impossible to have real fun without an elegant Christmas tree and everyone's favorite Santa Claus. After all, it is to him that children with such enthusiasm write letters with requests to fulfill their most cherished dreams and give such coveted toys. And of course, such a long-awaited and welcome guest must have an appropriate outfit. So, in this article we will talk about how to make one of the most important accessories for this character, namely the real staff of Santa Claus.

Image in detail

Well, what else makes this magical wish-fulfilling, so fabulous and unrealistically bewitching? Probably everyone will agree that Santa Claus is a character with a thick white beard, in a chic velvet coat with white fur inserts and, of course, with this mysterious staff, which, as you know, can freeze anyone.

How to make a staff of Santa Claus?

This accessory can be created with your own hands, and for this you absolutely do not need any expensive materials. First of all, you should choose a suitable frame, for example, a piece of plastic pipe or a handle-holder for. In extreme cases, the staff of Santa Claus can be built from half-liter plastic bottles of mineral water tightly glued with adhesive tape. You will also need decorative items.

Plastic bottles are a great frame

How to make a staff of Santa Claus from plastic bottles? Such an accessory is good because it is very light, which is quite important, because you will have to not only carry it with you, but also dance with it, and even lift it over your head during competitions.

So, based on the age of the actor who will have to play such an important role, they glue a certain number of bottles, after cutting off the neck from each of them. Approximately they will need about 15-18 pieces, and you also need a large skein of wide adhesive tape. The result should be a long plastic stick that will need to be decorated.

The shovel handle as the basis for the staff

How to make a staff of Santa Claus from a handle from an old shovel or mop handle? To slightly increase the product in diameter, its base can be wrapped with padding polyester or pasted over with foam rubber. After all the manipulations, it will be possible to proceed to the decorative design.

How to make a staff?

Even a child knows what color the staff of Santa Claus should be (it will be made with his own hands or not - it doesn’t matter). Naturally silver! And to give it such a specific icy look, the frame can be wrapped with ordinary baking foil or coated with spray paint.

The staff of Santa Claus (whose photo can be seen in this article) will not be real if it is not covered with snow. For this purpose, small foam balls or beads are ideal, which should be glued with a hot glue gun. Snow dusting can also be done like this: in several places, smear the staff with PVA glue and cover it with foam chips. Using this method, it is very important to keep the product for some time in order to allow the composition to dry well.

Ice cubes from plastic bottles

The original tip for the staff can be made from an ordinary plastic bottle. A slightly bluish plastic is just perfect for this purpose. In order to create an ice composition, a figure in the form of a snowflake with a long stem is cut out of one bottle, and the other is cut so that a single neck remains, from which several strips of plastic hang along the edges. Both blanks are connected with glue. Next, you have to work a little with fire and melt the edges of the entire structure. The edges of the parts must be melted so that they do not change color, but are somewhat warped from exposure to heat. Such a composition will look original on the top of the staff, creating the illusion of icing.

New Year's rain as the main decoration of the staff

How to make a staff of Santa Claus with your own hands using New Year's tinsel? Yes, very easy! It is worth noting that for this purpose it is better to choose a rain with a wire base so that it can be easily fixed on the frame of the staff. The tinsel is fixed at the very bottom, tied in a loop, and the staff is wrapped in a spiral to the very top. Moreover, the rain for such decoration can be taken in absolutely any color, but, of course, you need to take into account the color of Santa Claus's fur coat.

How to make a tip for a staff?

In order for the staff to come out complete, a tip must be attached to its top. It can be a huge sparkling snowflake, an icicle or a huge shiny star. This element is easy to make on your own, or you can simply pick up a suitable Christmas tree toy and attach it to the top of the staff. But you can make a little effort and build an original backlit tip.

How to make backlight?

A glowing staff is a very original idea that will give the image a special magic. This detail will definitely not go unnoticed. So, to make a highlight, you need to choose the right tip for the staff. The so-called snow globe will look very unusual at the end of the staff, in which light bulbs are already built-in, powered by the simplest batteries and turned on by lightly pressing a button located somewhere on the side of the base.

Another option is a large transparent Christmas tree ball, in which it is easy to place LED light bulbs from an ordinary children's toy. In the place where such a tip is attached, it is quite easy to hide a box with batteries and contacts in tinsel, but it is advisable to lower the switch to the level of the hand so that Santa Claus can turn the backlight on and off at the request of the children. Using this idea, the program can be supplemented with magic contests from the main character at the matinee. Children will definitely like this part of the program, just like the well-known chant “One, two, three, Christmas tree - burn!”.

Fantasy is a great idea generator

It just so happened that the staff must be wrapped in a spiral. It doesn't matter what - with a ribbon, rain or small white snowflakes glued closely to each other. But it is this pattern that is associated not only with this bewitching wand, but also with the garlands hung on the Christmas tree. How to make a staff original? It’s just that unusual elements should be used in its decoration. Kids are sure to love the idea of a glowing or tinkling staff. Bells tied to the edges of the ribbons and attached to the base at the point where the tip is attached are just a great option. And how to make a staff of Santa Claus with illumination has already been described above.

What about a folding staff?

Quite often, actors earn extra money by visiting children at home, and rushing around the city with a long stick in hand is not very convenient, especially if you have to travel by taxi. This problem can be solved, because you can make the staff of Santa Claus of a collapsible design. Such an accessory is easy to store right with a fur coat, hat and bag, because, unlike a solid stick, this option does not take up much space. How to make the staff of Santa Claus collapsible?

To create such an accessory, you will need to connect all your imagination. To make a frame, you will need plastic pipes, threaded and, of course, a soldering iron to assemble all the parts together. This is the easiest way imaginable. The staff can be divided into three or four parts, depending on how tall it is. So, the pipe is cut or trimmed of the required size is selected and elements are soldered to them, allowing them to be twisted into one another. This is done with all the elements of the staff that will need to be connected to each other.

How to decorate a folding staff?

When decorating such a staff, it is better not to use a spiral pattern, because if a strip of ribbon or tinsel wrapped around it in a contrasting color does not match the junction, then it will not look quite harmonious. An excellent decoration option for such a staff is snowflakes glued to the base in a chaotic manner, but the top can be decorated as you like. The details of such a staff can be wrapped with synthetic winterizer or foam rubber, or you can leave everything as it is, just painting the frame with spray paint. The joints of all elements can be masked with New Year's tinsel.

The rain staff or rain flute (reinstick, hmara) is a special instrument that was originally used by the tribes of Africa and Indonesia in order to establish contact with the spirits of Water. It was made from a hollow tube (stem of a dry plant), into which grain was poured. It created the effect of overflowing water and imitated the sound of rain or a waterfall.

You can make this simple and so magical and bewitching instrument with your own hands (you will find its sound below).

What to make a staff of rain

The best option is a dry stem of hogweed or angelica. The thicker and longer it is, the more effective the instrument will be - the “water” will overflow for a very long time. Another option is thick bamboo. It will be slightly muffled due to the thickness of the walls, but more reliable (even if you accidentally step on it). If you do not have natural material, you can use a cardboard tube or even a sheet of cardboard folded into a roll.

What you need

  • awl or drill (if you work with bamboo),
  • scissors,
  • toothpicks,
  • several types of dry cereals (lentils, rice, buckwheat),
  • PVA glue,
  • cardboard, pieces of leather,
  • sandpaper.

Working process

1) We pierce the wall of dry grass along the entire length of the tube in a spiral (in our case it is angelica). Step 1 cm.

Between the turns of the spiral we make another spiral (2 or more are possible). The closer the coils are to each other, the longer the staff will sound.

2) Now we take the toothpicks and thread them through one designated hole, and with the other end we pierce the opposite wall of the stem so that the stick passes just in the middle of the cavity.

This is a rather long and meditative process. You will have to tinker with bamboo a little longer, drilling holes of the desired diameter with a drill.

The result is such a "mace" - a cactus.

3) Now, with scissors or side cutters, carefully cut off the ends of the toothpicks.

4) The resulting "stumps" are sanded with sandpaper.

5) We coat the entire stem with PVA glue (to fix the result).

6) Now we glue a cardboard flap on one end of the tube so that the grains do not spill out.

7) Hurrah! Now the most interesting ... We fall asleep inside the cereal (lentils, peas, rice, buckwheat). It is better to fall asleep different-sized cereals so that the sound has many shades.

Here I will explain the symbolic meaning and give a description of how to make a magic wand, from the point of view of magical theory and its use in practice.

First of all, the magic wand is a symbol of desire, power and strength, with which the magician maintains his influence on the sphere for which he was made and charged. A single wand or wand (not to be confused with a wand, the elemental weapon of fire) is not enough for the magician to practice, he will need several, depending on what he intends to do and what he intends to achieve.

In fact, the purpose of the magic wand is to help the magician project his desire into any sphere or onto any plane. He can get a wand to:

Influence any creature, regardless of whether it is a person or an animal.

Treat people and destroy negative, unfavorable influences.

Summon higher Geniuses, demons or spirits.

We can say that the wand symbolizes the unlimited power of the magician. A person who has fully comprehended the secret of a magic wand, its influence, will never perform rituals without it. It would be too long to talk about all the possibilities of the wand here. For the diligent adept, these hints will suffice, and they will serve as a good guide. This knowledge is quite enough to replenish reflections.

A magic wand is a capacitor, no matter what material it is made of. Charged with the desire of the magician, it expresses a certain power. It can be simple (common wand type) or complex. All sticks carved from wood are considered simple. But only a special type of wood can be used for this purpose. For a wand of desires, hazelnut or willow is suitable. The wishing wand is a modification of the regular wand. Although a wand made of ash can be used for all magical activities, the magician should charge it only for the sake of healing people. A wand made of elderberry, due to its analogy with Saturn, proves to be effective in summoning elementals or demons. A stick made from willow twig can be used in all cases, as willow is a very good fluid condenser. The attentive reader will remember that lightning often strikes willows due to their high water content and absorption capacity. He will also be able to recall the old proverb about thunderstorms: "They run from the willow, looking for the beech tree." Oak or acacia wood is also an excellent material for a magic wand. It is really not difficult to make a magic wand from any of the woods mentioned above. Trim the rod to approximately 3/8 or 3/4 inches in diameter and 12-20 inches in length, remove the bark and smooth the surface.

Often the preparation of a magic wand is limited to strict astrological periods, and a magician familiar with astrology can use his knowledge to create the wand. But such a procedure is not necessary, for the magician knows that the stars may have some influence, but cannot compel the wise to do anything, since he actually controls them.

Thus, the magician, if he wants, can make a magic wand from any specified material.

If the wand is to be used for ritual purposes, a new knife is needed to make it. The knife may later be used for other ritual activities. But in no case should it be used for domestic purposes. If the magician is not going to use the knife again in magic after cutting the wand out of the rod, he should bury it to prevent anyone else from accessing the knife. Another type of magic wand is a steel magnet equipped with an insulating band. Take a round steel bar (steel used for electroplating, i.e. magnet steel is best) about 12-20 inches long with a 3/8 inch diameter, polish it and nickel-plat it to prevent rusting. After creating a nickel-plated rod, the magician can magnetize it with an electric coil, similar to how a horseshoe or an electric motor is magnetized. The greater the force of attraction of a magnet, the better it works. This is a way to get a very strong steel magnet that will not only do its actual job, but also serve as the basis for an excellent magic wand in many magical experiments. First of all, you need to locate the north and south poles on the magic electrotype (electroforming) of the magnetic rod and mark both poles: the south pole with a minus and the north with a plus. To insulate the rod, its middle should be wrapped with a silk ribbon the width of the palm, i.e. about 3-4 inches. A rubber hose of the same length may also be used, or a wooden handle designed specifically for this purpose. Such a wand will enable the magician to bring about many magical phenomena, of which only a few will be discussed here.

If the magician is working with the electromagnetic fluids of the universe, intending to strengthen them in the physical world, then he must hold the wand so that his right hand touches the positive pole, his left - the negative, and the ends of the rod touch the middle of the palms. After that, the electrical current from the universe must pass through the right side of the rod into the body of the magician through visualization. The positive charge of the rod (one-field-radiation) will thus increase, since it has the same vibrations, and will make it easier for the magician to store the electrical fluid in his body. The same procedure applies to the south pole magnetic fluids. Also, the magician can increase the electrical flow, having previously accumulated it in his body. In this case, he concentrates on the end-pole so carefully that his actions can directly affect the physical world. The same applies to the magnetic fluids that the magician can accumulate in his left hand, which is the negative pole. The middle of the rod, covered by the insulating material, remains neutral. If the magician concentrates his intentions with the power of imagination into the compressed electromagnetic fluid of a steel magnet, the wand really becomes magical. By means of the electromagnetic fluid, which emanates in the form of brilliant light from the rod, any realization in the physical world becomes possible.

Initiates usually use this wand to influence sick people and all magnetic phenomena. This magic electromagnetic wand, according to the Law of the Universe, is an excellent capacitor with the same vibrations as the Universe, but more subtle in its properties. Man, reflecting on this, will be able to find other methods due to universal laws. The magician, for example, will be able to draw fluid from the universe like an antenna into his body or transmit it by the power of visualization to other people who are close to him or at a far distance. The wand will soon become an indispensable attribute of the magician, both for positive and negative forces, and will also help him create the necessary vibrations in the electromagnetic fluid.

In addition, there are sticks charged with a solid liquid or a combined capacitor. I could talk a lot about how to make such rods and how to use them afterwards, but I will only talk about the most significant method for the magician in his work. Take a twig of an old shrub, 12-20 inches long and 3/8 or 3/4 inches in diameter, remove the bark and smooth the surface with sandpaper. Remove all the inner wood so that you have a hollow tube. Place a stopper at one end of the tube and seal it with sealing wax, insert a condenser (liquid, if you prefer) on the other side and also seal this end of the airtight tube. Now the rod is ready to use. If you like, you can use different types of wood, such as ash, willow or oak rods, or hazelnut. The rod, which is originally nothing, must be carefully and carefully processed in order to get a pipe out of it. Instead of a liquid condenser, the same solid kind of condenser described in The Gate of Initiation can be used. It is also possible to take a piece of blotting paper impregnated with a liquid condenser instead of a solid one, which, after drying, is charged and then rolled up and placed in the hollow area of the rod. The inconvenience of wood is that after a while it wears out and becomes perforated under the influence of water. Therefore, it would be a good idea to replace it with a metal tube. Those types of metals that are good conductors of heat and electricity are best suited. The best option of all is 3/8" or 1/2" copper tubing. To avoid any corrosion on the metal surface, the tube can be plated with nickel, chrome or tin before being filled with the condenser. One hole must be immediately soldered, through the other the tube is immediately filled; in this way, you will get a first-class magic wand, suitable for all purposes. A magician who works with electric or magnetic fluids, in turn, can make for himself a rod from a thin metal or steel tube, as mentioned above, for working with magnetic fluids, and a copper rod for working with electric fluids. A universal wand is created in the same manner, except that a nickel-plated brass tube must be used instead of a copper or iron tube.

A magician who is sufficiently financially secure may use, instead of a liquid condenser, a condenser made of semi-precious stones. For electrical fluids, he will be able to use a copper rod, the inside of which is filled with pulverized amber, the best condenser for this kind of fluids. For working with magnetic fluids, the magician can take a steel tube with rock crystal pulverized in it instead of a solid condenser. Again, rock crystal is a very good capacitor for magnetic fluids. You can also solder two small tubes to form one rod; in this case, one part of the rod is filled with pulverized amber, and the other with rock crystal. A solid rod thus created, divided in the middle, will contain two types of capacitors.

In this case, the two halves must be connected with a thin copper or iron wire passing through the centers of both tubes. The outer side of such a rod should be coated with nickel. This ideal wand has a unique fluid capacity and will serve for any magical action. There is another way: a wooden rod can be decorated with seven rings made of planetary metals. The rings should be placed on the rod in the Kabbalistic order. That is, a golden ring (for the Sun) is placed in the middle of the rod, and on each side there are three metal rings. The following metals can be used for rings:

Lead - Saturn

Tin - Jupiter

Iron - Mars

Gold - Sun

Copper - Venus

Brass - Mercury

Silver - Moon

In addition, the rings may be engraved with the image of the geniuses of the aforementioned fields. The use of such a wand would generally be limited to the incantation of the geniuses of these seven planets. When used in other cases, it will not outperform other wands. That's all the magician needs to know: he himself will be able to build on these examples and create something of his own. The shape and size of the stick play a minor role. The most important thing in it is charging for practical use, which will be described below.

Charging a magic wand is carried out in almost the same way as charging a magic mirror equipped with a fluid condenser. There are many ways to charge a wand. They all depend on what the mage wants to use it for. First of all, the magician must be aware that the magic wand is a symbol of his desire, his strength and his power and that it is a container like a fluid condenser of that power, power, etc., which the magician not only possesses, but can also store this power at your own discretion. Of little importance is the fact that it is simply a cut rod suitably worked, or whether it is a complex stick saturated or filled with a fluidic condenser.

Staves

Previously, it was believed that a magician is not a magician if he does not have a staff. This item of power serves as an extension of its owner and contains a power equal to it.

The staff is made from a whole young tree or a branch of a large tree. In the first case, the tree is asked for consent to give his life and become an ally of the magician. And in the second, they ask the permission of the tree to cut down one branch. But in both cases, nothing is done without the consent of the tree. Having received consent, they cut down the staff. After that, gifts are left to the earth or tree. Usually these are grains, semi-precious stones and beer.

The staff is cut off the branches and the top is cut off, and then covered with a cloth, preferably natural (linen, cotton or silk) and carried home. Already at home, trying on the staff to the owner, it is shortened in height. The optimal size is considered to be from the nose to 5 cm above the top of the head. Then they close up the places of cuts with pitch or paint so that the staff does not become damp.
Within 6 months, the bark of the staff is not touched. At this time, they talk in him, fill him with strength. They walk in the forest and learn to be aware of everything around again. Someone sings to him, someone rubs the bark with oils. What to do at this time and how to fill the staff with power is an individual matter for the magician.

After 6 months, the bark is removed from the staff. But not only the top layer, but all the way to the middle. The bark must be removed with a knife. Either specially purchased for this purpose, or their workers. The process of removing the bark takes different times, someone does it faster, someone slower - here time does not matter anymore.
After finishing removing the bark, the staff must be sanded either with a file or sandpaper or sandpaper. The main thing is that the surface of the staff becomes smooth and does not leave splinters on the hands of the magician. After that, the staff can either be immediately covered with paint or varnish, or first cut or burn signs on it. The dyed staff is adorned as the mage's heart dictates. Either a stone is embedded in the top, or the top is decorated with feathers and bunches of beads - this is a personal matter.
In traditional ritual magic, the staff is dedicated and given a name. In witchcraft, the staff is given a name and initiated as it works. You can dedicate the staff based on the traditions of your faith or on the traditions of the holidays - here, too, only personal preferences.

sticks

For the manufacture of a magic wand, any branch of a tree up to the thickness of a thumb is suitable, not necessarily straight, a curved ring may also appeal. Whether this wand has just been cut from a tree or found fallen in the forest, if the magician liked it, you can make a magic wand out of it.
The future wand is shortened to the desired length, and it (long) is chosen by the magician himself. It can be a stick a meter long and the length of a palm. Usually they take an average length of 15-30 cm. After that, the bark is removed from the stick. Traditionally, this is done either with nails or sandpaper. I do not exclude the method of processing with a knife and a file, as was done with a staff. The only difference is that the bark is removed immediately in one day.
Then the magic wand is coated with varnish or paint. Before that, you can cut or burn signs or patterns on a stick. When the paint on the stick dries, it is filled with energy. But they don’t just pump, but try to create in the stick, as it were, a vortex accumulator that will recharge it. This process takes one day. After that, the stick is rubbed with aromatic oil. You can mix several in a bowl or use only one. The oil is rubbed into the surface of the stick with the hands, this procedure binds the stick to the owner. After that, the magic wand can be used.

Wands

Wands are an attribute of ritual magic. Therefore, the creation of the wand is accompanied by a ritual.
To make a wand, they take a fresh branch in the circumference of the arm and 25-30 cm long. This branch is processed immediately. After removing the bark, it is rounded off on both sides and a piece of wood is removed from the middle from both ends. It turns out the stick on the ends is rounded and thicker than in the middle. Then the wand is skinned. They put on it the signs of the gods, the name of the wand and the name of the magician. Moreover, the first name is applied to one end, and the second to the opposite, and the signs of the gods are located in the middle. The wand is not covered with paint, but rubbed with oils.
After that, a ritual of dedication to the gods is performed over the rod. Further, the wand is used in ritual and religious rites as a redirector of forces.
The wand is one of the main tools of magic. It has been used in magical and religious rites for thousands of years. This is a summoning tool. The Goddess and God may be invoked to oversee the ritual with words and the raising of the wand.
It is used to channel energies, draw magical symbols or a circle on the ground to indicate the direction of danger by balancing in the palm or hand of the sorcerer, and even to stir a potion in a cauldron. The Wand represents the element of Air and is dedicated to God.
The traditional types of trees from which wands are made are willow, elderberry, oak, apple tree, cherry, peach tree, hazel and others. Some sorcerers cut the wand a cubit long from the fork, as thick as a finger, but this is not necessary. Any fairly straight piece of wood can be used as a wand, even a dowel bought from a hardware store works well. I saw beautiful wands carved from it and painted.
The new consciousness (and trade) brought new prominence to the wand. Delightful, beautiful creations of silver and quartz of various sizes and values are still used today. They can be safely used in witchcraft rituals, although wooden wands have a long history.
Don't worry if you don't find the perfect wand right away - it will come to you. I have been using long liquorice as a wand for a long time now and have had excellent results with it.
Any wand you use will soon be filled with your energy and strength. Find one with whom you feel confident, and everything will work out for you.
