We are talking about an episode that occurred during the 2011 elections. Then the video captured the moment when Anatoly Drozdov helps push a stack of ballots into a ballot box using a comb. As observers and a number of journalists claimed, votes were “stuffed” in this way, and the elections themselves at the polling station were falsified.

Valery Antonik, an assistant to another United Russia deputy, Alexander Kushchak, is trying to take the blame for election fraud, including this episode, in the video filmed by Garmazhapova. “It’s me, the comb,” says the official.

Alexandra officially demanded an explanation from the office of the speaker of the Legislative Assembly and intends to obtain an apology from Drozdov.

Anatoly Drozdov is a military man by training, originally from Sevastopol. Since 2000, he has made a political career at the municipal level through the United Russia party. In 2015, he headed the public reception of party leader Dmitry Medvedev. In September he was elected as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the 6th convocation in a single-mandate constituency.

Let us remind you that the deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, Anatoly Drozdov, gained wide popularity after voting day on December 4, 2011, when at PEC No. 333 he tried to push a stuck stack of discarded ballots into the ballot box with a comb. Anatoly Drozdov is considered one of the closest associates of the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Vyacheslav Makarov. Perhaps this is precisely why the fact that a part of the Piskarevka municipal district, where the deputy has been working for a long time, was attached to his constituency.

Note that the Akademicheskoye municipal district is part of the 6th single-mandate Legislative Assembly district, which includes other municipalities of the Kalininsky district: Severny, part of the territory of the Grazhdanka municipal district. The current deputy Anatoly Drozdov is likely to be nominated by United Russia. Perhaps Anatoly Drozdov, because of the holiday, will receive some competitive advantage, which his possible opponents may not like. There, in 2004, the city prosecutor's office put Verka Serduchka's double, who impersonated her during a performance, on the international wanted list. The conflict occurred on October 5 in the foyer of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. Deputy Anatoly Drozdov, previously appointed vice-speaker, approached a group of journalists, including Novaya’s St. Petersburg correspondent Alexandra Garmazhapova.
